Greetings,
I have been struggling with a significant issue at Flagstar bank. Earlier this spring a mortgage payment from my bank- Huntington was flagged as fraud which I did not catch and tried to send another payment and again same issue which then resulted in a reverse payment several times for my mortgage.
Once I realized this issue, I contact both Flagstar and my bank to fix. This issue with my bank has since been resolved and I tried to resume payments online with Flagstar BUT those rights to pay online for me were taken away causing severe delays on payment which is now impacting my credit. I have tried countless hours to get this resolved with no support from Flagstar. Flagstar simply just sends lots of mail indicating I am behind on payments and mortgage support.
The follow has been my course of action to get this resolved.
June made several calls to clear this issue up and explained the situation. Customer service reported stated they would speak to a supervisor and getting online payment reinstate. Never called.
I called back June 16, customer service stated, “Reinstatement of online payments was denied”. I could wire a check, they emailed me information and said that was all they could do I would have to figure out the rest. Wiring a check from my bank was not an option, western union costs money to which makes fixing inaccessible in this economy.
I mailed a check which was sent back, “not at this address”.
I have got so far as to reach out to my previous loan office for support. She referred me to another loan officer through Flagstar and indicating to send cashier’s checks to the Tory, MI location. Which since I have done twice now and seemed to be cashed. Yet I am still getting letters indicating my payments are late and has been filed with credit. The last payment was sent August 10th for more than my payment requirement is. Sending payment in this format only delays the payment and is incredible inaccessible for consumers who simply working hard to make payments.
I truly regret getting a mortgage with Flagstar at this point because this has impacted my livelihood as a person. I just want to pay my mortgage, not have it impact my credit.
