My name is Elizabeth and I recently moved from Houston, TX pursuing my dream of starting a ranch and raise horses. I came with great optimism and my son as a helping hand. As things started rolling, it came time for my land to have electricity. So I hired an electrician and got everything ready for FPL's service on my land. Unfortunately, FPL took an extremely long time to cater to my electrical needs and left me living like a cavewoman in the stone age. Since the water depends on the electricity I have been living in a barn with no water or air conditioning for 2 weeks. Having to defecate in a bucket and wake up in a pool of sweat every morning has left me utterly humiliated and dissatisfied with FPL's service. They also never answer 1/5 stars.
on call box
On July 26 9:11am we got a call from FPL saying we can read a box never said what box and need to come out and look at the box So we made a apt. for a 3 party person hired by you to come out. MAX came out and took the box, he open our AC and pulled wires out and never told why he was taking the box. That same day Aug 2 9:40 after he left we called FPL back to ask why he took the box . FPL said at that point there where no able to read the box since Jan. on Aug 06 2018 we got a letter in the mail saying our AC had no disconnect and hot water tank is in a cubby. Now mine you hot water tank was never on the on call box . After getting this letter in the mail Aug 06 2018 I recalled FPL . then they said you box was not working since Jan 30 2017 not Jan 30 of 2018 so it took them, a year and a half to call, so this move up the chain fast and still told all the same thing over and over we had no disconnect when I did talk to the highest one in the office in the on call he said it can take that long to call but we did get the 3.00 each month which is not the point it took 1.5 years to call I ask when he had a good read on the box he don't know because he only been in the job 3 years cant look back that far. FPL we had this box since 1995 and this is how you treat your customers I would like to know where the switch when because no one we had working on the AC took it out and now we don't get the 3.00 off per bill . I should call news 8 out of Tampa they will fine out and put this on the news my ACC# is [protected] I want my 3.00 off per bill you drop the ball
deposit and refund
Hi my name is Ryun Alarcon. I am writing a complaint because FPL says one thing and then goes back and says another later and this is not right. I called about a deposit and had three different customer service people say three different things. Since they are a monopoly and there is no other service available they are able to do this.
So what happen is I called to have my deposit credited to my past due account that I closed. I called and the rep said that it would be credited. I got a notice a couple weeks later saying that I owed that amount. So I called them back to ask why I was told something different when I did they said that now my deposit won't be refunded till January. I asked to talk to someone else and that rep said you don't get your deposit back that it just keeps rolling over forever. Saying every time you move it just rolls over and you don't get your deposit back. So, I asked to talk to someone else and they said I just need to pay it because I was told wrong information. This is so unacceptable from a company and how they can say one thing and then just go back and say something else. They should honor what was said the first time and take some accountability in this matter if we let companies just do what ever they want with out any accountability then this is unjust and unfair. We have to take accountability as customers and a company should as well. Where do we draw the line if a company hires people that don't know what they are talking about why does the customer have to be penalized. The company should be penalized for having service reps that don't know what they are talking about and the company should take accountability for this matter.

This location is a School Bus pick-up location for 4-busses and light is needed for the safety of the kids. this has been reported 3- times starting in June and still no response. PLEASE HELP SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY 13th

surge protection
Today I was looking at my FPL bill and was blown away by finding out that they were charging me $10.60 a month for surge protection that I didn't order all my plugs have surge protection on them they did not ask me when I move if I wanted to service if they did it was not explained in a way that someone could understand exactly what they were doing I'm a disabled person that just lives on disability and you're committing fraud they can't charge you for surge protection unless you physically say yes I want surge protection that's what it takes you saying yes you want surge protection now when I moved in March they started charging me $10.60 for a service that I did not ask for now they say well they have to make sure I didn't say yes so they have to go back on their phone records and look to see if I said yes I wanted it now unless it was done in a way which was very fraudulent and was not explained there was no way that I would say yes to Surge protection is already on surge protectors how many disabled people seniors are they going to take advantage of charge on their bill that they're not really aware of when I get my bill it does not show up it just mostly shows you what you owe and where you what you going to pay this other piece of information doesn't show up on the regular phone app except if you go digging so I had no idea that they were doing this to me and I think it's a shame that I have to wait a whole week for them to try to find my voice somewhere that said I said yes when I moved here which I did not say yes I want your surge protector plan as far as I'm concerned they are committing fraud against me and how many others are they doing it too someone needs to do something to correct this this is so wrong and no way I was treated or so wrong or they have to verify my voice oh no I can't speak to a manager what's wrong with them thank you for listening Faye
not maintaining substation property
Corner of osceola rd and liberty lane in seminole county, geneva fl, the lawn maintenance is never done until it is completely overgrown with weeds and grass and this is always an issue. Not sure how often the contractor is supposed to keep up with it but i can assure you they only do it less than a hand full of times a year
this is very unsightly and can cause snakes and other critters to hand around
again this is an all the time issue and has been for years. I live on liberty
my husband could maintain it bi-weekly and probably would cost you alot less.
no maintenance done on trimming trees
have lived here over 25 years, same home, FPL, use to do trimming mtce. but don't seem to much now, 3 years ago I called every 3 months for a year to trim, ( behind our house, 2 empty lots, and to the north all empty lots) we trim our trees, they came out a # times, said no big issue, one night, , crash lines broke and down, they had 3 trucks here till 2 in the am, workers said, why don't you call in trees? I said I did for a year ! now 2018 all over again, call about trees, nothing! then 6pm a wind storm, lines cross, sparks fly, no power, 3AM, 9hr latter, its back on, BUT only trimmed a small amount, and the 2 of the 3 lines, almost touch, ! they say there is a work order out on it ? 4 times since power goes out for a few sec. as the wind hits the close lines and they touch !
2 more phone calls, and its not fixed yet. they seem to wait for REAL storms, then im not sure if they get $$ for trimming and removal after storms, but regular mtce. seems a thing of the past, I have been in Vero 44 years, I did noy=t have these issues when I was on COVB power.

My bank sent a payment to FPL and I can't get my money back. It's over $2500. Everytime I call I get a future date of when I will receive a refund. When that day comes I call about the refund and I'm told that it will be another week before I get a refund. Service from the rep was rude and not at all helpful. They just refuse to send me my refund.

outdoor lighting repair/ 400 watt directional light fixture
We are a church Iglesia Bautista de Pompano located at 101 SW 17th St Pompano Beach FL 33060- Telf. [protected]. We have an outdoor lighting pole that has been burned out needing repair since September 19, 2017. This pole is located on the rear east side of the church next to the Farm Store -free access from public from st 17th. On 9/19/17 we submitted a request for repair. Ticket #73150. On October 2, 2017 another report was submitted for light repair. On October 17th another call made to [protected] ticket #508 - I was told service pending. On November 15th we received a call from FPL informing a technician will be send to check the light pole.. On January 23rd 2018 we called back again requesting light pole repair - ticket #75062. On February 23rd 2018 another called was made since unresolved matter continues- was given a ticket #70394. Another call was made on: March 3rd 2018- unresolved issue continues. We spoke to a supervisor [protected] (Isassi?) Ticket # 75302-he stated was going to send a technician to see if the problem was with any cable at the pole etc. Another call was made on: May 8th 2018 -Ticket #79445 we stated that the problem continues. Today is 7/10/18 and at this moment the problem continues. We run a children program ministry every night and is not safe for them since our parking lot is dark. please help!

We have very large voltage fluctuations in our home (from 95v to 225v) so we called our electrician and he tested our circuitry. He found no issues in our system so he called fpl about 10:00 and opened a trouble ticket, explaining what he had found. He said there is no issue with wiring or equipment in the home. My wife called about 13:30 and they told her the ticket was closed but had no more information. The problem is Not Fixed, the voltage is still going through large fluctuations. We still can't run any appliance or electronics or A/C, not even the lights. No one is able to tell us if & when fpl is coming to fix this issue. My wife is sick and needs A/C. Extremely poor service. I'm trying to find out how to escalate the issue
power pole change out
On June 27 during the night your crews changed out a power pole in my front yard. They broke my tree and bushes and left their trash in my yard. The work has been left uncompleted. This is not only embarrassing, but is unsafe as I have a toddler who plays outside. The crews never contacted me prior to coming out and destroying my tree and bushes. electric deposit required or must sign up for auto pay
I feel that I am being targeted by fpl and not sure how many other people are having this issue. I have been a fpl customer for over 40 yrs, not because I want to but because we have no options on our electric company. Not sure that's even allowed?
After 40+years of service they are demanding that I pay a $261 residental deposit. I have never ever had my service disconnected. I have had a few late payments and pay the $5 additional fee but never have had the service disconnected. This last month my payment was due on a fri and I paid on that mon. They already sent out a final notice?! Over the weekend? I feel very targeted. I paid my bill in full and a week later received a adjusted bill saying that I know owe a $261 deposit or my service will be disconnected! Or I can sign up for auto pay and not pay the deposit. This to me is a racket, you must give them permission to take the money every month when they want or foot the bill. Trying to talk to someone is impossible and they are very very rude and not at all helpful. They don't care because they don't have to. If you want power you will do as they say. Help need a lawyer!

Today on Toledo Blade in North Port truck 6237 nearly ran me off the road. Used no turn signal and almost side swiped me because he was not paying attention. He was literally right next to me and would have been aware of a vehicle next to him if he looked.Could have caused a major accident considering it was around 3:30 and very busy. Wish I would have called the police on this incompetent idiot. I understand that no one is perfect but if you're in a company vehicle you need to represent your company better.
Believe it or not the SAME truck 6237 pulled out in front of me today! I was going straight on Toledo Blade and had a green light, he was turning right onto Toledo Blade. I absolutely had right of way because he had a red light. I was going the speed limit, 45, and had to slam on my brakes and switch lanes quick to not hit this idiot. He had the nerve to throw his hands up at me, even though it was 100% his mistake. A little further up the road we were approaching a red light so I got in the opposite lane so he would be stopped next to me so I could let him know he was going to be reported and to pay attention but he couldn't man up so he abruptly switched lanes so he turned down a different street. If anyone could point me in the right direction to report him formally please let me know. I honestly cannot believe he has almost caused an accident with my vehicle 2 days in a row. Fpl has to hire humans, because the animals that I was connected to are really stupid. I had to explain not one time but 4 different times about a incorrect routing an account number that I no longer use is still saved to my account. I was told it would be removed..which is a lie. You have to UPDATE it only. They need competition because they think they can do people any kind of way. Inconsideration for others kind of business.
power disconnection
I came home from work today to find a notice on my door that stated that my electricity was disconnected. I did not receive any notice in the mail. However I immediately went online and paid the bill. I then called Fpl to find out what time my power will be on. They advised me that I don't have an electronic panel so someone had to come over it physically to reconnect and since it's after 5pm it won't be until tomorrow. Now I am here sitting in darkness, 22 weeks pregnant (high risk).

We have done everything FPL has asked...we sent in claim order, estimate for repairs, and a few of the many pics we have of the FPL/ Sub contractors vehicle parked on our drainfield Jan 31st 2018. Worker drove through a neighbors property, squeezed their truck between a tree and some building material stacked up and drove over our drainfield and crushed it. We are moving out of the home now until FPL sends us money to have the drainfield fixed because the toilets will not flush properly. Also with the added septic water to the back yard along with the grown up vegetation that cant be got to for the sludge is causing rodents to arrive.Its now June 9th 2018. We would like FPL to issue immediately our check for repairs in full so our septic guy can start the job! We have an appointment next week with a lawyer to discuss legal action on this matter and incurred costs that are coming up due to FPLs lack of due process of their mistake. We will NOT wait any longer. We have children and pets (that may need boarded til resolved) This is now a health risk and i plan on calling the city as well.

We fully recognize the importance of keeping your wires safe from falling tree branches, especially at the street of the hurricane season. However…..
Damaging a tree in the process should not be one of your objectives. By removing the center section of our tree, on one side now leaves the tree unbalanced with most of the weight on the house side of the tree. This gives us concern that the middle of our house is in danger of the tree becoming unbalanced during a hurricane. Besides the fact that the tree was carelessly cut leaving the street side of the tree an eye-sore.
We have contacted our tree company to take a look at the tree and decide how best to remedy the situation. They are scheduled at our home on Wednesday June 6. We will be forwarding the estimate to you as soon as it is complete.
my electric bill
My electric bill just shot up by almost $300.00. Something is now right here. I live by myself in a very small house. Over some 19 years I have never had an electric bill over $160.00. Your company has been doing a lot of work around here lately putting in new poles and transformers so maybe that has something to do with it but there is no way I could possible use that much electricity in a month. This has to be checked out
eyesore - transformer
We purchased a new property at 4798 Sprint Circle in Rockledge, Fl 32955 from Viera Builders. Site was selected from a site plan. At the time, we did not notice the awful transformer box in the front of the property - (and that is our fault, but I guess since we are elderly, our main concern was the interior of the property) - the guys working there described it as a rusty VW - it is that HUGE! The property manager for the HOA has been in contact with FPL to try and get the rusty old box painted and he keeps getting the run-around. All we are asking is that you take maybe 10 minutes and have the awful thing painted - it is really terrible... there is another one further north on Stadium Parkway that is in the same condition. This is not good advertisement for FPL! Could you please have someone at least look at it and maybe bring a spray can of paint with them? I can't believe FPL would want their property to be seen in such terrible condition.

truck number 7081 cut me off coming out of the bears club from frederick small road nearly causing a major accident
Truck number 7081 was turning out of the Bears Club on to Frederick small Road cutting right in front of my SUV nearly killing my daughter and I missed us by an inch there was no need for him to be in a hurry it was too young Caucasian this was a young man in the truck the time was somewhere between 10 and 10:25 a.m. on May 23nd 2018. I pulled up next to them and they made no attempt to apologize for their error in fact they wouldn't even acknowledge me horrendous they are an accident waiting to happen or lawsuit waiting to happen if this is not addressed by FPL directly immediately whoever the driver is if there are cameras on board the trucks they should be reviewed. Or cameras outside of the Bear's Club in Jupiter Florida near Frederick small Road they should be reviewed to show how horrendous the driving actually was
