poor product and customer service
Very simply. We purchased 3 Frigidaire appliances (frig, range, over range microwave) in May-June 2008. We purposefully purchased nicer levels of equipment so that we would not have additional costs of repair and replacement. We began to problems with them shortly after the 12 month warranty ran out.
The range is not repairable. It has a design flaw that allows anything that spills down the front of it to go to the inside of the glass door where it cannot be cleaned without bending the metal covering.
The refrigerator has had ice maker issues (and the repairman explained the many design problems with Frigidaire compared with other reputable companies). Along with paying to have that repaired it has several points where it is rusting in the freezer and refrigerator compartments. One of the drawer glides broke while holding lettuce and a few tomatoes telling me that they used inferior plastics in building it.
Finally, our microwave's magnetron died after less than three years. A magnetron is $108 plus the cost to have it replaced. We've had $99 microwaves last 9 years and still keep on running. Their product lasted about as long as a 12 pack of toilet paper in a dysentery ward.
All they have ever done or offered to do is write an email of apology to their "valued customer." They do not value customers longer than it takes to slide the credit card through the card reader.
Since we began to have these problems we have had so many people tell us the same thing about Frigidaire, while everyone else says, "I've had my ____________ for 9, 10, 15, 18 years and never had them repaired. Bottom line: DO NOT PURCHASE FRIGIDAIRE.
Cost:
Ice Maker: $85 repair plus $100's of dollars in meat and groceries from icing up problems it caused AND nights awake emptying the freezer to chip away ice from the fan in the freezer.
Rack repair: $65
Rust in Frig: Irreparable
Microwave: Around $500 for new over the range microwave and the problems of installation

Just moved into a newly purchased home that had a Frigidaire microwave #PLMBZ209GCA manf. date March 2009. I put a little dish of butter in for 30 seconds on power level 7 with a paper towel over it to avoid splatter. After 20 seconds I look in to find the paper towel in flames. After carrying the paper towel to sink I look in the microwave to see the butter hadn't even melted.
This house was in impecable condition inside and out, so I'm assuming the microwave was not abused prior to our purchase.

From what you have described I would actually try to use a different material than papertowel. Possibly even put a plastic microwaveable lid on top of your butter and see if there is a difference. Yes recycled, and many non-recycled, material due have metal sendiments in their composition. Now also if you are seeing abnormal performance when cooking or warming other products you may be experiencing an overheating with the magnetron. This would then require a technician to visit your home and diagnose for possible repairs. However I do suggest to try various other containers for your butter, and try other foods in the unit and see the results.

Dear sirs,
Our above mentioned complaint has still not been resolved till date. the engineer from star services had come on the 28th. of april with the heating coil.
But when he tried replacing it, he realised that the heating tube coil was not the correct size.
I fail to understand as to how they can make such a stupid mistake when they have been informed of the refrigerator model and their engineer has also inspected the same in detail!
The only inference that i can make is that they have not sourced the part from the parent electrolux company's service centre, but instead sourced it privately!
We have not been able to use our refrigerator from 19/04/2011 till date. there is no feedback from anybody!
Could somebody please tell us as to when our fridge will be repaired and what is the cause for the delay?

"high temp freezer" is lit up continuously.
02. we hear a thud sound while closing the lower fridge door as it is hitting the bottom front

I had originally lodged my complaint through toll free no. on 19/04/2011, complaint no: ppun1904110011.
Against this a service engineer from star services came the next day on 20/04/2011 evening and informed me that some heating tube needs to be replaced and will have to be sourced from electrolux, which will take 4-5 days and as soon as it comes it will be repaired. but he could not correct the door level problem.
As there was no feedback, i called your customer toll free number again on 23/04/2011 and was shocked to learn that on your records my problem was resolved! i upraised the customer service executive who serviced my call and told him that nothing had been done and i again lodged a second complaint for the same problem.
The 2nd. complaint number is: ppun2304110011. i was told that the part will be available by wednesday, 27/04/2011.
Till date (6.30 pm) no one has come from star services nor is there any feedback from them. even though i called up yesterday but the owners were not available. i sent them an sms message to their mobiles, but they have not bothered to return my call and sms!
I would like to know when exactly will the part be available and my refrigerator's cooling problem be resolved? as also my door alignment problem?

On October 18th I purchased brand new major appliances for my newly rehabbed kitchen from Lowe’s: refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. Out of those four appliances, three have broken. A couple of months ago I had someone out to fix the dishwasher. The stove's gas shut-off valve does not work (figured this out after coming home with my newborn to a house full of gas; still have not gotten fixed as I just cannot find the time).
On Thursday, April 28th I called Lowe’s because my refrigerator had stopped working. Besides losing at least $100 worth of food, I was panicked: I have a four-month-old and work full time; his milk was in the refrigerator. I was told by the Lowe’s customer service rep that the earliest appointment she could get me was Friday (the next day). I explained why it was so urgent - she was very nice, sympathized, but still could not help me. It is worth mentioning that I live in a major city (Philadelphia), and it is confusing that as a large company in a major city, Lowe’s could not secure someone sooner, especially considering the circumstance. She then explained that I could call the company myself and ask for service that day. Upon calling that company, I was told by them that Lowe's had the wrong information, and they could not perform the work until Monday.
I then called Lowe's again, crying, that I could not feed my baby without having refrigeration. Someone different was able to secure service that same day. When the service repairman came to the house, he announced that it would take 7-10 business days to get the part, but that upon shutting off the refrigerator for 24 hours, should magically work. In a major city, and in this day of same-day shipping, I am confused why it would take so long to receive the part.
It is worth mentioning that I am still paying off the appliances (almost all broken). It is also worth mentioning that my husband and I, as new parents, also have demanding jobs, which make sitting at home waiting for repair professionals difficult.
I lost the following because of the situation: at least $100 worth of food; my baby's breast milk (priceless) and a day of work. I am confused why no one offered to deliver a mini refrigerator to use, especially considering my unique situation with the baby. For anyone that has had a baby, nurses that baby and has to work full-time, they understand how panicky and terrifying it is to lose refrigeration. My house is exactly 2.6 miles away from a Lowe’s store; it would have been possible.

I am writing you this in regard to some major problems that I have with my affinity washer and dryer that are about 3 years old. I am very dissatisfied with both the washer and the dryer. Tonight I went on line and found out that I am not alone in these problems which makes me even more angry that your company must know about these problems and haven't done anything about these issues. I currently have the washer in my garage and am using a friends washer. I spent a lot of money on this pair and expected them to last longer than this. The first problem is with the washer, it doesn't finish out the last high speed spin cycle. After reading on the Internet this sounds like it is very common and should have a recall done. The other problem with the washer which I also read about happening is that the top control panel cracks which mine has and it is not from any abuse. It is the side where you pull out to fill with soap. I just can't believe that with all these complaints nothing is being done. Yes, I did read that you can purchase a new control panel or a new door lock switch but why should I foot the bill for something that is obviously a manufacture problem with all the complaints. On the side of the dryer. It does get very hot when drying. A little too hot. I'm not sure if the cause of the heat has caused the other problem but this is something that I feel is 100% bad product. The paint has peeled away on the inside of the door and is rusting. When you put wet clothes in a dryer yes there will be moisture but to have a dryer start to rust from the inside is not acceptable by any means. I replaced a whirlpool washer and dryer with these. My old ones where my parents and lasted over 28 years. Why when I spent top dollar do I have the problems like this? I could over look the switch in the door going bad but to have the dryer paint peel and rust. To me that is something that I can't overlook. I am not drying anything that would ever cause such a problem. I can send you pictures to show the damage. I really hope that you can help me out with these matters. I wasn't one of those people who posted these problems for the world to see. I am a fair person and want to give your company the chance to fix some major issues. I hope to have a outcome that we both can be happy with. The model number for the washer is LTF7000ESO and I can't tell you the model number for the dryer because the sticker on the inside has worn the number away. They are the same model. Please help me. Just replaced a 4 year old frigidaire side-by-side. The compressor locked up and the repairman indicated that particular compressor (Made in brazil) has been failing after 4-5 years. So, I complained on frigidaire's web site and after two weeks no response. I tried various forms of the ceo's name but he must have a well hidden address due to the number of problems i've seen with their products. Replacing a $700 item after 4 years is one thing, but aren't they also filling up landfills with this junk? Major appliances should last 8-10+ years under normal use.

rats from warehouse in mexico warehuse conditions
Since day 1 of 7 appliances bought from lowes with extended warranties on all. We have had numerous problems with 6 of the frigidare /electrolux appliances continously. These 6 out of the 7 read made in mexico. The 1 we have never had a problem with reads canada assembled in u. S. A. Augusta, ga.. We have never ever needed a repair from the canada electrolux co. Location of this product /u. S. A. Assembled. These 6 other appliances made mexico made have had so many repairs I have a thick book on the invoices of repair co.'s who begin to form a relationship with on a first name basis. Now after our 4th year of continious repairs and breakdowns the last co. Which has been coming out stated there have been rats eating the wires as a result of the damage. We have dust on the rat/mice traps and poison dust and no sign of rat or mice poop. The food cabinet is butt up against the range which also has rat eaten wires. It has no signs of any food eaten by rats/mice. We have bags of pasta, always 2 kinds of bags of malt-o-meal breakfast cereal, boxes of hamburger helper, thin bagged ramen noodles and no signs of any such rats/mice eating through the food next to the range, across from the dishwasher, the refridgerator, and below the microwave all made in mexico. I ask the repair person who reported this if he can tell if the rats ate this in mexico or here. His answer is he can not. I ask the extended warranty lowes backs up and sells daily if they can determine whether or not they insured a product that was damamged by the conditions in the mexican warehouse infested with rats or mice or both they can not determine that but can not further insure on our warranty plan for rodents no matter where they came from. Now lets think for a moment the 7 appliances 1 made in canada and assembled in the u. S. A. Has never needed service and the 6 aplliances made in mexico has rat eaten wires. What could the conditions be. No food out of the cuboard eaten. Inspected all drawers and cabinets in the area and no sign of such rodents. The warranty plan will insure damaged goods but not cover the damage. lowes extended warranty backs out far too many repairs poorly made appliances
Continious repairs poorly made appliances household of new lowes frigidaire appliances as follows.. Model numbers listed below. Since date of purchase till now I have made a thick book of each of these appliances invoices of numerous repairs excessive amount of time having appliances out they all have had numerous repairs. Now the extended warranty and last repair company they sent out want to say its rats eating the wires to get out of warranty cov erage. No such thing in our home. Its the way out of warranty. Numerous repairs with other companies prior with no such blam on cuonsumer till now after excessive service calls. So I ask after many repairs in my book of invoices prior to this rediculous rat cop out report what was the problems before when after going into now since [protected] now 2011 with a 4 year extended warranty and book of invioces of many repairs with appliances out of order due to parts falling of, shorting out, electical panels of most all have been replaced 2 or more times. The diswasher spayer keeps falling out or panel shorting out as it leaks water from the front handle to the face of it with a unsightly stain of continued water leak from inside door which is sealed tight. The washer continous parts replaced, dryer keeps burning out cheap made heating elements, microwave continous front panel replaced, refridgerator - ice maker keeps going out and cheap thin made door shelfs won't hold up to regular household use. The range keeps burning coils of the burners. It has already been replaced and still another of the same kind does the same thing. For the most part these applianes have cheap thin made parts at a expensive price. Its job security for repair service companies. Big down fall is after going through all the headache now lowes and last repair people have decided to blam the consumer to get out of the warranty.
D & j appliances recently started coming out for lowes warranty after other companies prior have come numerous times. After d&j had come out continously they decided it was not the many service calls to blam their company of repeated service calls for the same thing but to blam consumer. Whether their job with lowes warranty people are hooked up to blam the consumer after repeated problems is a fact it smells like a fishy deal between the two
water/ice maker
Frigidaire FGH2844L model has a design flaw were as neither the Ice maker or water dispenser will function. I've only had the refrigerator for 4 months when both stop functioning, the service guys came out and replaced the water valve which didn't fix the issue. Then magically it started working the next day. Then after a few weeks the problem returned, this time the service guys called the Frigidaire and they are now saying its an gasket between the freezer and refrigerator compartments. The gasket is on backorder with no ETA from Frigidaire/Electrolux.

we bought a frigidaire side by side ref a year ago, a few months later it started to have problem with its water and ice dispenser, it wont make ice, then a few weeks later it was working again until the flowjet water pump broke. ok so we still tolerated the problem, then something again came out the freezer and the entire ref started to lose its cool. then the plastic holder broke, the magnet of the seal of the ref just opened up, now ants started to go inside it. be bought this ref for a hefty price around 100 thousand phlippine peso, thats around 2, 500 US dollars. we had it fixed just a month ago then now its the same problem. Its a shame because we once had a frigidaire ref when i was a kid and it was able to last until i was in college. I hope my concern will reach the frigidaire people so they can take a look at this problem. God bless.
spontanious exploding glass cook top
Purchased a frigidaire gas cook top model fgc3658hsa in nov 1999. On thanksgiving 2010 my kitchen was full with family and friends. My sister, oldest daughter and I were standing at the stove cooking. My oldest son asked us turn around to take a picture and within a couple of seconds my glass cook top spontaneously exploded sending hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of glass flying all over the counter top and floor. Luckily my 18 month old nephew who had just been playing on the floor only 3 feet away had moved. Fortunately no one was hurt, but I can't imagine what could have happened if we had not turned around just at that time. As far as our thanksgiving dinner, most of it was covered and I was able to salvage it.
My complaint is the fact that we have contacted frigidaire three times by email asking them to forward our emails to management so they can call us to resolve this issue. Management has not called us. We have only received reply emails suggesting to replace the glass and purchase a new warranty. Basically we have been told that we are on our own and there is nothing they can do. We are very reluctant to replace the glass again (At a cost of $600.00) because we have no guarantee that it won't happen again.

I have a Frigidaire electric glass top range. My complaint is cosmetic. The glass top keeps developing black spots. They don't seem to affect the cooking ability of the stove but they make it look as though I never clean it. I only use recommended cleaners, have newer pots and pans which I also keep meticulously clean so I don't know what the problem is. The range is only two years old and I've already had the top replaced once for the same reason. After reading the other problems buyers have had I suppose I should be grateful. I also have a Frigidaire refrigerator which sounds like a Boeing taking off in my kitchen, and a dishwasher that needed the control panel replaced after a couple of months. Rest assured, next time I renovate my kitchen I will NOT be buying Frigidaire appliances.
top glass broken
I have lodged a complaint about my washing machine a month back and we had 3 persons so far who have visited and had the same response 'the glass needs to be replaced and i have no spare ones on me, call the customer care and ask them to send someone else'. We call and explain in detail and they send another person who gives us the same reply.
I don't like to play this game, its frustrating and wastes my time.
If anyone is looking to buy a washing amchine, please do not go for a electrolux, their service is bad and quality is bad.

faulty heating element
Purchased a Fridgidaire Dishwasher Model # NoTH64286933 a few years ago. I woke up on September 28th and smelled something very funny in my home. I went into the kitchen and the smell was awful. I opened the dishwasher to realize that the heating element never shut off. It melted everything in the dishwasher, the cabinets were burning hot, and the entire bottom of the dishwasher was melted. I turned the dishwasher on at 6:00 pm and when I woke up at 6:00 am the heating element was still running. My house could have burnt down. My husband called Fridgidaire to report the problem and they told us that nothing could be done. My home could have burnt down with myself and my 3 children in it. I will never purchase anything made by fridgidaire ever again.
Pd a fortune for the darned refriderator and it broke just after the warranty expired. It was purchased in 2002, but has been sitting unused in the home that my son occupies since then. I am a woman alone, and I need to get rid of it, guess I will have to sell it for scrap metal, since the repairman that I had to pay dearly just to come and give an estimate says it need a compressor. I could use it, but I dont have the money to pay for a new compressor. Any ideas?
My wife and I recently done new construction early this year. We upgrade the washer and dryer set because I wasn't please with the standard models the builder was offering. Mind you that upgrades are addition purchases that's wrapped into your thirty year mortgage. The affinity dryer that I had chosen lasted only nine months. I called the costumer service number, and they told me someone would come out and repair. That was all cool and dandy but I'm still spending money going to the laundry mat every week to dry, and put gas in the car to get there.. I called the costumer service rep back and express my disgust at this point because here's something I paid extra for and why can't I just have a new dryer since its only nine months old... Besides you only get a year warranty with the purchase. The rep told me nah but I could be quoted for a manufacturers warranty. I told her she'll love that, and that was ok because I won't be buying another Frigidaire product in the near future. Its just crazy how the quality of service is worth nothing today with products. You won't give me a new item but you'll sell me a warranty. Even best buy take their products back...
We have a 4 months old Fridgidaire Pro series which already had 3 service calls. Vegies got frozen in the vegie section and now the mother board dies. We emailed and phone the customer service and never got the response back. Finally we get in touch with the rep and they said since the fridge is repairable, they are not going to replace it. This is a piece of junk, I never have a fridge need any repair in their life time, not to mention it's only 4 months old. I saw another posting regarding this fridge and they have the same problem with the mother board. It's a piece of junk, from Fridgidaire.
Fridgidaire has a tremendous customer service policy. They will replace defective equipment if they can determine the cause of the malfunction. If they could figure out what was wrong, wouldn't they fix it? They repeatly have you arrange service calls at their expense to have someone troubleshoot the problem. In our case we have a 9 month old Fridgiaire dryer that takes 2 to 3 cycles to accepatably dry clothes. We have been going back and forth with the company for the last 4 month on this problem and their only solution is to have service techs keep coming out to try to repair it. DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS unless you want to have a live -in tech.
My oven cooked fine for the first 3 months then I started noticing food took longer and the out side was cooking but the inside was either undercooked or raw.The first repair consisted of recalibrating, it seemed slightly better but then got worse again.The second service repairman ( a different company)pin pointed the problem, temp would go way up then down which explained why my food was cooking more on outside.H e recalibrated it the right way but after 2 weeks it's not cooking right again.I just called for another service call and waiting for their call tomorrow .My stove is just 7 months old and I've been cooking for 37 years and never had this problem before.Is anyone else having a problem with this?
Less than two years old, paid $1700 for this fridge less than 2 years ago. Front snaps right off crisper drawer. Lowes 4 yr appliance warranty does not cover parts. Frigidaire want me to spend $106. Pluss shipping to replace it... Two small bits of plastic hold the drawer together... Made In Mexico... Buyer beware, a lot of money for the quality of a cheap toy.
new professional model does not work
Several weeks ago whle remodeling our kitchen, my wife ordered an exhaust, hood, an Electrolux double convection wall over (elec), and an Electrolux 6 burner professional-grade gas cooktop from Wholesale Appliance in Charleston, SC. We have, over the past 20+ years purchased almost 100% of your major appliances from this store. We have never before purchased anything Electrolux.
After the items were delivered, the spec sheet on the items were used to prepare the Corian countertop for the cooktop. Due to a difference between the specs and the actual measurements, the Corian had to be re-tooled after installation in order for the gass cooktop to fit.
It has now been over 3 weeks since the item was installed ... and it still DOES NOT WORK. Special technicians have bee out twice to look at, make adjustments to, or replace parts. It still DOES NOT WORK. We have spoken with both Wholesale Appliances and with Electrolux. Neither is willing to replace the item. We must first have another technician come out today --- I have beenwaiting now for over four (4) hours for his/her arrival --- with the "correct" tools to work on it again. Our dream kitchen has turned into a nightmare!
My recommendations to readers of this are two:
(1) Do NOT purchase anything Electrolux; and
(2) Do NOT purchase anything from Wholesale Appliances as they do not stand behind their products nor do they give any consideration to customers who continually have pruchased from them. If fact, regardless of the outcome today, I will now have a REPAIRED - not a NEW cooktop and I have been offered no refund from the original price for this now refurbished item.

% year warranty & dryer breaks 1.4 yrs into contract
Like most Canadian’s we shop and think of Sears as a name brand that you can trust and depend on. That is why my Electrolux Front Loader washer & dryer was purchased from Sears April 2009 with a FIVE year warranty. The cost was close to $5, 000.00
A month ago, August 28th on a Saturday I received an error code on my dryer E64 – no heat. Called the service department and an appointment was set for September 1, 2010. Repairman #1 that came was here for a short time, only to tell my daughter that he didn’t have the right tools and would have to come back – we would be called, he did not leave a work order.
A week later (September 8th) Repairman #2 comes out, spends a good 1.5 hours, took the dryer apart and put it back together again. He says that he isn’t sure what is wrong with it – everything tests fine but will order a “motherboard” and hopefully that will fix it, if not Sear’s will have to replace it.
My Mother drives from Toronto to ensure that someone is at my house all day to ensure repair. Repairman # 3 arrives – to spend 10 minutes to discover that the wrong part has been ordered. The part he has is for a different model and a WASHER – wonder if the person that part was to go too is as frustrated as I am.
On Friday, Sept 24th, once again my 82 year old Mother drives from Toronto to sit at my house waiting for the repairman. She calls me at work because Sears call and asks her if the dryer is gas or electric. I may be stretching here but one would assume since the washer & dryer was purchased, delivered and set up by Sears that some where you would have this documented? I was told that we were to be the first call at 9AM, at 10:40 my mother tells me the repairman #4 has not shown up and she needs to leave at 11 (I called this request in earlier in the week) I get on the phone again and after being transferred to the Corporate Customer Service where I have spoken to twice before – I am told it has been repaired – during the 20 minutes on the phone the repairman came and fixed my dryer.
The same evening I begin the week’s worth of laundry, only to discover that the dryer has not been repaired. I am receiving the same error code E64 and the dryer is giving no heat. I call yet again and once again Sarah empathizes with my frustration – I don’t want empathy I want a dryer that works. She tells me that Sear’s will not replace it until they determine what the problem is. Again 4 repairmen, she says she will try to get a repair man to my house on Saturday. I will be in and out but have them call my cell phone – something that I have repeated over and over. AT 2:40PM on Saturday my HOUSE is called and a repair man will be at my house in 10-15 minutes. I tell her that I have to leave at 3:30 but at let’s try. I leave my house at 3:22 – the repairman was a no show. I leave a note on my front door asking that my CELL phone be called when he arrives – I am still waiting for that call.
September 27th I call and ask to be put through to Corporate Customer Service (spoken to Sarah, Debbie and Sue previously) but am told she can’t do that unless I give her my information and she investigates – I admit I raised my voice and am told she can hear me fine, she access my information and transfers me to Corporate where I eventually speak with Tara. She tells me – o.k. this really is a very bad joke – that she has no record of any of my information or service calls, etc. 35 minutes later and conference call to my mother in Toronto to ensure that she can sit at my house tomorrow for 12 hours because one last person has to see my dryer and determine it can’t be repaired before it is replaced. Tara tells me she has never seen anything like this, try living it. She tells me when it is all over she will issue me a Sears’s gift card for my inconvenience. That doesn’t make me any happier and will probably be disappointed when a “value” is assessed to this nightmare.
It has been over a month, like most people I have a very busy life and have been incredibly inconvenienced by this – my son plays soccer at a national level and had practice/games 6 night’s a week – that is a lot of laundry. The week before my daughter went to University – we spent 3 hours in a laundry mat to get ready her for departure. I am traveling every other day to a friend’s house or weekends at a laundry mat if we can hold out that long.
I call and I get we are sorry and we will send a repair man, what I want is my dryer replaced. This is beyond inconvenient almost to the point of absurd. I have to wonder if I purchased my furnace from Sears and I was getting no heat would I freeze to death.
One last thing, when Sears delivered the washer & dryer they set up the machine’s backwards – so that the doors open into one another. I was told I would have to get a longer drain hose and move them around. I am not physically able to do this, at the time I thought I’ll live with it – again your repair man said that it shouldn’t have been set up this way. I am a novice here, trusted the name brand Sear’s and paid $5, 000 for that peace of mind it seems continue to pay dearly for that .
I want the dryer replaced first and foremost, and at this point some sort of compensation for my time, my mother's time traveling from Toronto to sit at my house and wait for these repairmen, the number of times I have had to go to laundry mat or friends houses to do my laundry and the overall frustration I feel in the time I have wasted on the phone talking to people that do not speak good English! Only then to have my concern/call transfered to the Coprate Customer Service dpet - where I have to start all over again.
Going forward, I will think long and hard before purchasing anything other than clothese from Sears again.

I purchased an Electrolux French Door Dec 09. First the motor on the ice maker went out and had to be replaced. Then the ice maker went out again and I woke up to water all over the floor and inside the frige. They came out and installed an upgrade kit. Problem continued on. Ice maker would work some days, some days it wouldn't. Water dispense the same, most of the time it would not work. The repair man and to take my fridge apart multiple times to put the blow dryer on it. Ok, so, I finally get a replacement, newer model, from Electrolux. Exactly one week later, the ice maker quits! How ridiculous is this. I will go to battle once more, but this time, no replacement, I want my money back so I can go buy a reliable product and it won;t be a fridgedair.electrolux product.
I purchased 5 Electrolux appliances for our new home. We are having problems with the frig sweating causing water accumulating on the floor. It soaked into the new floor, up the wall, and into our new $20, 000.00 cupboards..Electrolux repair person said the frig was not installed properly.. He took a detailed report and a lot of pictures of frig, and the damaged floor, wall, the cupboards. I have spent many hours each week on the phone with Electrolux and they just keep passing the buck from one department to another.I feel they have no regard for my time, the inconvenience, or damages there product caused. I have been going through this for 4 weeks now with no working frig and no real end in sight. They will not have a repeat customer in me. I will make a point in telling everyone I know that is in the market for a new appliance my experience.
We are going through the same exact situation with a French Door fridge bought in March 2010. Our ice maker also went out and they put in the upgrade kit. Not that long after we found water all over our floors of which caused over $20k worth of damage! We had to fight tooth and nail with Electrolux for 3 months to get them to cut us a check for the damage. It was a nightmare on every process. Now we just found another water leak yesterday! This time there isn't as much damage since we caught it early...I can't believe it. I fully believe these fridge is a lemon. How did you get a new one? They refused to send us a new one. Although do I really want it?

Fridgidaire and electrolux are both affialated appliance manufacturers who neither of the companies have quality appliances. You pay BIG money for pieces of crap appliances who the manufactures will not stand behind instead they say you should have bought a extended warranty for a appliance that is just out of warranty . I bought a whole electrolux kitchen for a new house and a new affinity washer and dryer this was in dec of 2008 we moved in the house this is sept of 2010 and so far they have had to replace my stove with a new one after having service man come and work onit the first 7 months also during the same time my dishwasher gave problems and at this point and time after fighting with electrolux I have not had a dishwasher for the past month waiting to see if they can fix it or if they will replace it . I also had problems with my washer from day one the door never closed right so instead of replacing the washer they kept sending out service man to adjust the door until finally the door broke off the stryker and the service man found the plate was broke to hold the door on the washer so I called them and they sent the PIECES AND PARTS for the service man so he can build the door back they refused to pay for the labor this is really wrong people spend alot of money of crap they throw together I would not recommend FRIDGIDAIRE or ELECTROLUX products for purchase to anyone unless the consumer wants to deal with a company who isnt interested in making sure you are happy and you have working equiptment .THIS IS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED SO PLEASE PASS THE WORD. I AM ALSO CONSIDERING TAKING A LOSS TO BE ABLE TO PAINT THE WASHER YELLOW AND WRITE LEMON ON IT AND PUT IT IN A VERY PUBLIC PLACE TO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF HOW LOUSY THESE COMPANIES TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND HOW BAD THESE APPLIANCES ACTUALLY ARE. Hi i am satish ihave purchased a washing machine on 09/04/2008 fromsymphony radio which is in sarojni nagar. there is some problem in my washing machine due to which i have approched to ur service centre the name is Royal refrigeration and is in east of kailash. ithink its ur authorized servicecentre in south delhi the concerned person name is manpreet bhatia he told me that my engineer will respond u on 09/09/2010 but than no one came to me than they told me that he will come on 10/09/2010 at 11 a.m i keep him trying his phone but he didnt respond me in the same manner Mr.manpreet also didnt respond me and was not picking my phone.they told me that i am supposed topay Rs250 as the warranty period is lapsed iam ready to pay that but than alsothey dont responded me is it the right way to deal with a customerand is it the way to give after sales service to the customer.i want an action against this what had happend to me.

In October of 2009 I purchased a Frigidaire washing machine and three year service agreement at Sears. The beginning of this summer I started having problems with the door not opening, leaving damp laundry in the washing machine. I had a lenghty phone conversation with a technician and after repeatedly unplugging and plugging in the machine it worked again. A few days later that same problem happened again and I made an appointment for a service technician to come and fix the washer, setting aside a 4 hour time block for the repair. On July 9 a technician came out to replace the washing machine door lock. A few days later the same problem happened and I made another appointment, waiting again a few days until another technician came on August 3. He told me that the control panel needed to be changed. That part had to be ordered. On August 17 the contral panel was replaced and the service technician assurred me that the problem was now fixed. He left and I tried to wash a load of laundry but... you guessed it, the door again did not open. I called Sears about one hour (or less) after the technician left and an appointment was made for another technician to come out the next day. On August 18 another technician came out and he told me that the technician from the previous day had not securely connected something. (The machine was working when that technician had tried it out.) The technician left and I tried to do the laundry but again the door would not open. I had been patient up until this point but now I wanted a new washer that would actually allow me to do laundry. I called Sears "4myhome" and talked to at least 6 people (some of them very friendly some not so much) but was told that the washing machine did not yet qualify for a replacement. I was told to make yet another appointment for a service technician to come out. That appointment is scheduled for August 24. In the meantime I have another damp load of laundry in my washing machine which I can not open even though I have unplugged it already several times.
