Service for merchandise bought in Puerto Rico
A few years ago we bought our Mom a recliner/lifting chair. It was bought through JC Penney. The recliner motor seems to be broken I I have called customer service 4 to 5 times. Every time I called I had to provide the whole history because they were not creating an incident to be followed up. One time I was given a number but every time they said they were submitting my request to the appropriate department which seems to be in the twilight zone because nobody reached out to me. I kept calling and I was told to send an email to their international division, which I couldn’t understand because Puerto Rico is part of the USA and three ours by plane to the mainland.
I sent two emails and never got a response. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They just want you to buy their product and get stuck Ed with the problems it may have.
This is a very expensive chair with a guarantee that is just in paper.

Purchased L Z Boy Astor Platinum Lift Recliner on Jine 24 2022
The chair's electronics are defective, the chair will not operate.Put a call into L Z Boy on approx. 7/ 15/22. They said they cannot get a technician out until 8/25/22. That's over 6 weeks, that time frame is totaltily unacceptable.
How can I get better service?

I am so upset and frustrated with Lazy Boy. I am not getting any help from them and after 19 phones calls; I have had enough. We purchased couch and recliner and paid almost 3500.00; see attachments for details. Every time you recline in the recliner it sounds like it's going to break and the sound in very very loud. It's like a 600lb person jumped in it and slammed it into recline. I spoke to Mike Johnson 3 times and Lee 3 times. They tell me only the customer support could help me. Even though I purchased it from Mike. When I called customer service it took 10 days for them to return the 3 calls I left for them. Ms Porsha was so very rude. She said it was the mechanics I was hearing. I explained we had sat in it at the store a few times and it made no sound. She said well it was because they have tall ceilings in the store. Are you kidding me. I asked for them to come out and either fix it or give me a new one. With a horrible tone she said for 125.00 we will. I said I would not pay that since I spent almost 3500.00 for a lemon. She responded with a very sarcastic tone Well I guess were not coming out. Can you please help me!

Repaired furniture received that I paid full price for
Purchased a sofa and loveseat for over $3800. 3 months later during the delivery I was notified that the loveseat was damaged.
La-z-boy repaired the the loveseat and delivered it few weeks later. Loveseat pillows that I paid for were missing. A week later they were delivered.
Now I have all the furniture that I paid for after three deliveries but ende up with up REPAIRED loveseat instead of new.

Fabric on sofa recliner and love seat
We purchased a 7,000 suite of living room furniture 2 years ago this it now looks like it is 10 years old , literally falling apart and the fabric on the sofa and love seat is fuzzing up so badly it looks horrible. I bought a razor for pilling and it did work to some degree on the chair. Threads are literally coming lose on the sofa and love seat. Also a seam on the arm of the love seat has separated and has furniture nails sticking out. I have never been so disappointed in a product after such an investment. It is only my husband and myself who use the furniture regularly, no children in the house. I was told they would repair the love seat for 290.00. Their warranties are useless. Read the fine print!

Bought a Lazy Boy rocker recliner for 2,000.00. Had it less then a year. The recliner does not work half the time and as many times as I call I get NO help. I have been put on hold for over 2 1/2 hours . I was told I would get a call back with some help but no one calls. When I call I"m told there is no record of my complaint. I have asked for a Supervisor but told they are not available. I was once stuck in my chair and not able to get out of the chair because it wouldn't go back in the upright position. I struggled to get out and it fell over. It did damage to my knee and now I have problems with the knee. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and am being treated like no one cares. I guess I will have to see someone about getting help since I was injured and Lazy Boy refuses to give my money back or replace the item. I am not threatening but I can't let this go either . So I get some help or will be forced to take other actions.
Desired outcome: A refund is all I am wanting after all the stress I have been put through.
We have the same issue with 2 recliners we bought in 2020. Ordered them in March didn't get them until late June or early July. COVID. I get that part.
However, they neither one are working. Same situation you describe. I have called CS numerous times. They wait is LPONG! I finally got a person to come out to access the issue July 8th after 3 months of waiting.
They waived the fee to have them come out. $160
He was here maybe 15 minutes. Ordered to new control boxes. Those finally arrived but I had to pay the shipping top get them. Now I am on hold again with CS because you have to call in to get them scheduled to come out to install and SEE if that fixes the issue.
No idea how long I will have to wait on this call or for a technician to come install the part they ordered.
We purchased Lazy boy previously and ordered again because of the quality and durability. Mechanical though. Will NEVER order one with a remote or electrical parts again. NEVER!
My time is clearly nothing to them. I have spent a minimum of an hour on each call and have called in 5 time counting the call I am on hold right now.
UPDATE:
Just got off the phone with CS department. I was on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes to get to speak to him for 5 minuets. He scheduled the technician to come out to install the parts one is a simple power box and the other is internal component. Guess how long! 2 more months. September 10th.
I have been without the ability to use our chairs (1 since March!) Extremely expensive electric recliners for months. Each call to them takes hours out of my day. Months to get them out here to start with and then the parts to come to my home so I could CALL THEM again to schedule. Ridiculous. NEVER will we ever buy Lazy Boy again! Oh I can try to install the parts myself. He was supposed to email me instructions on how to install the parts I received. I still do not have them!
Getting s someone out to fix my couch - I paid for Service Advantage
I have been trying for two weeks to get a hold of a human being to discuss the problems with the couch and schedule a service technician to come out and fix it. The problems were "fixed" about 6 weeks ago. Now one of the problems is happening again and the other they "fixed" so it's not making a grinding noise, but they did not tighten it back up so the recliner is loose and the foot rest does not close all the way when closing it normally. I could probably force it, but I don't want to do further damage. I finally talked with someone yesterday who apologized profusely and let me know that this store was bought by corporate and they are merging systems. She said she would transfer my information and call me back. I have not received a call back. I called her this morning and left a voice message. I also called to talk with the office administrator but got voice mail. I just called the corporate line and am waiting for a call back because the wait was long. I am very frustrated and disappointed in LazyBoy.
Desired outcome: An actual person to call me back to schedule a repairman to come out and fix my couch correctly. And not have to wait 6 weeks to to get someone out to fix it.
Non-delivery:La-z-boy claims to have delivered.
Purchased 3-4-22. 4 "in-stock" furniture pieces. Scheduled headboard and entertainment center for 7-7-22. Showed up with one of two items: a Litchfield Headboard. The Reclamation Place Entertainment Center was not on truck. Delivery stated only headboard on truck. No center. Center was on delivery manifest. Initialed for headboard and signed for it's delivery. Would return 7-9 with center. Went to La-z-boy late July 9th. Sales stated everything delivered. Warehouse stated everything delivered. July 14th ask status of my entertainment center: same response.
Desired outcome: Want La-z-boy to find and deliver the entertainment center.

Had an issue with a chair I purchased from you a week ago. Spoke to Dan in your service dept. Dan is not suited to deal with the public. He was augmentative and seemed unable to listen to what the customer was saying.
The sales portion of the transaction was fine.

Recliner sofa.
We have owned lazyboy chairs and sofas in the past; they were great! They lasted for a long time.
When we moved to Florida bought another one here in Lake City in 2018. Now it looks awful! We paid $1,800 which is a lot of money for us now retired and, with limited income. Soon we realized the "leather" coat is paper thin and is has been peeling at the seams, in the middle of the two seats and even around the controls.
Desired outcome: A replacement with a better product would be appreciated.
Delivered wrong recliner
Non English speaking men delivered wrong chair to home, argued that the color was correct, however Taupe and Dark Blue are very difference colors and TAUPE was on the invoice, with the correct cover number. The chair they left was dark blue. The Lakeland FL Lazy Boy store has been informed and has not taken any action. When their own Lazy Boy corporate office called them for me, the store's service manager told them to contact his boss, who CONVENIENTLY has not been in her office. This order was paid in full. This issue started July 2nd, and as of July 5, 2022 nothing is resolved.
Desired outcome: The wrong chair needs to be picked up and the correct chair delivered in its original factory packaging, or a refund made for this mistake.

On 4/24/2021 I purchased 2 recliners, 1 was style 010777 the other SKU 10X724, from our local Lazboy Furniture Galleries in Huntsville, Alabama. Assistant Manager Jan Langiewicz waited on my wife and me. The sales Contract # was 119723 and we were gonna pick them up in Nov/Dec 2021.It was a week shy of a year when they called and said the recliners were in. I sat in many recliners before decided on one...all told it was $2437.24. While writing up the contract Jan Langiewicz repeated several times that the recliners were made in America...that was a big selling point. When I picked the recliners up, I left them in their boxes to bring home. To my utter surprise...and disgust...my recliner...still in the box...had Made in Mexico all over the box. While I am very disappointed my recliner was made in Mexico, after being told it was to be made in America, that is not what all my complaint is about. My main complaint is that, although it looks good, square and level, after setting in it for a while I realize I'm leaning to the right...I adjust myself to the middle/left only to realize after a while I'm back leaning to the right. Something is either wrong with the cushion or mechanism or something. I posted my original complaint on June 18, 2022, but never received a reply...ya'll responded to my request for a reply to my complaint...was told not enough information...so I am posting my complaint again...thanks

Chat area/Need replacement parts
I was in the middle of giving the information about a part I need for my Lazy Boy cabinet sliding drawer when I was taken to a third party Appraiser that costs a dollar to join. Even though the dollar is supposed to be refundable I bought Lazy Boy because of their reputation and have a recliner fold out couch sofa sleeper, patio set amongst other things . I think it's terrible you won't take csare of your life-long customers.
What I need is the replacement bottom tracl for the bottom drawer along with the two plastic spacers. Your local stores said to consult a cabinet shop. No one carries a 14" track like this. Can you guide me in the right direction? Thank you.

Power recliner and couch
We bought two power recliners and a leather couch from Lay Z Boy in Clearwater Fl. We expected the wait, but for one of the chairs it was over a full year. That was not the problem. We discovered manufacturing flaws with all three pieces and for the high price we paid for these pieces we told the store salesman and manager that it was not acceptable and we wanted to return them. They absolutely refused to do this and only agreed to send a service tech out. Service tech was very nice and did what he could. He apologized and said that he did the best he could trying to fix these flaws. I told him we purchased Lay z Boy products before with satisfaction and now wondered how their manufacturing quality went so far down hill. He then reluctantly informed us that this furniture we bought was made in MEXICO! Soooo... Buyer beware with Lay Z Boy.

Can't get service repair as requested ticket # [protected]
To start out with I had a serv ice repair requested on February 9, 2022 which was never explained properly as to the fact the service technician on first visit was only going to take pictures of the service repair needed and forward that to service center in order for parts to be shipped to customer, so that on the 2nd visit the repair could be completed. Well when the appointment for that was a no show and I can't recall date I called back and made another appointment to return which was yesterday June 16, 2022. The tech was the same one we had originally take the pictures. He came in looked at recliner underneath and said without having looked in the box that they haven't sent you the right part. I said lets open the box and see and then he said that not the right one like I said. He said something to the effect we were called and told that there would be an additional charge for the part and we had refused too pay it. That is not true we never received a call. In the interim I left the room and he had dissembled the sitting part of the recliner exposing the siting area to the 2 broken springs and all 12 screws were laying on the rug. We never told him to do that and he had left so abruptly I didn't have to chance to say what are you doing, so now I don't even have a recliner to sit in. I had no repair done and I called this morning customer service spoke to gentlemen n explained the situation said I am going to speak to my manager immediately placed me on hold for 1.5 hrs I just finally hung up and never even received call back
Desired outcome: Gewt my chair screwed back together immediately due to time lag and that I never told him to take it apart or at least put it back together so I can sit in it. I really want the repair done and not just be blown off like this.
Life time fabric warranty
My husband and I are very disappointed on the way we were treated by the customer service at La-z-boy. We purchased a Bennett duo sofa and love seat, with a life time warranty on the fabric. We contact the company that covers the fabric warranty, they sent us to La-z-boy customer service. After sending pictures they claim it needed more stuffing. So we had them do the job that cost us $294.00. Well that didn't work. We showed the service man that it was riping. We contacted customer service again with more pictures and they wanted to send another service man for $194.00 not refundable. After a phone call almost every day from customer service wanting our money, we requested a manager. A manager named Mike told us we would check all the stores to see if any of them had the fabric or sofa. Well he never got back to us. Got a email from someone that the fabric was discontinued. We called the local store to speak to a manager was told he would call us back. Called the next day was told again he would call back, well that didn't happen. Now we have a $2,000.00 sofa that we can't even sell.

My name is Glenn Coffey, I purchased a recliner on 9/22/2021 and received it on April 19, 2022. Upon receiving the recliner, it was defective, the leg rest would not extend completely. The next day I called La-Z-Boy to report the problem and a service appointment was scheduled for 5/12/2022. A technician came to my home and found that a part (bracket/weld) was broken. On 5/25/2022 the same technician returned and changed out the broken part. After reassembling and testing the chair, it was making an unusual noise. The technician determined that the leg rest extensions were bent, and the Drive Tago was broken, which made the chair unusable. Moreover, I was informed the parts would have to be ordered and it would take a week alone for the parts to arrive. On 5/26/2022 I called La-Z-Boy Corporate Office and spoke with Hayley, a next level manager, about my issue, concerns and refund. I was told that I would get a call back from her in a couple of days. I called the corporate office again on 5/31/2022 and was told that they were unable to reach anyone at the store where I purchased the chair. I called La-Z-Boy corporate office on 6/6/2022 and spoke with Olivia and was told they still had not heard from the store and they would email the store next level manger to find out what can be done to resolve this matter.
