Battery warranty
Renton store on Union. On 3/3/23 I went in for a battery check. It was at 18% and was told I needed a new battery. I bought the battery on 5/1/20 with a 7-year warranty. I had the battery less than 3-years and they wouldn't honor the warranty. I was quoted $178.99 with no adjustments. I can't do business with a company that doesn't honor their warranty.
I ended up calling roadside assistants, AAA, and paid $188.99 for a new battery.
Desired outcome: I would like a response and the adjustment for the battery I had to buy.
Motegi rims
So I bought a set of Rims around January 26th 2023. I was cleaning my rims later that day and noticed two rims have a very slight bend on the lip, I only live about 10 miles from the store and it's all new highway road home. So I never ran anything over or hit anything to cause this. I had my girlfriend take the car back to the Les Schaub (330 12th Ave...
Read full review of Les Schwab Tire CenterFrontend alignment and visual inspection
Scheduled an appointment online, cause they couldn't physically do it in store. That was just the start. As I hate computers! Pain! But, got it completed, well kind of. They didn't have enough room to explain what had been done. Everything that has to do with the steering and suspension, all new! A mechanic friend helped me out as it's expensive to do all that work in a shop. Like $1800. Or more! Had Les Schwab do the work on alignment, with a free visual inspection. Thank goodness I drive back roads, the inner tie rod somehow comes completely off. So my mechanic friend comes Christmas eve, in a blizzard and below 0°. Could of been killed or killed someone else. They should of seen a loose part they were working on.
Desired outcome: They were rude to me as I explained what had happened! And them said they would not re align it. I took it to Pomps tire! They got it right! Would like my account credited back!
Billing customer service
We have had an account with Les Schwabs for over 20 years. In this last year I have had to contact the billing department on three separate occasions. Each time the customer service agent was extremely rude, short and was talked down to. This last particular interaction on 01/11/2023 I had called because they said our account was overdue and would go to...
Read full review of Les Schwab Tire CenterBrake job on all 4, lousy brake parts, and bogus senior discount
This complaint is about Les Schwab store at 8940 E. Hampden Ave. Denver, Co. 80231.
I have used LS for about the last 4 years, that is done though now. Went in late november 2022, I believe, had all 4 brakes done and new tires installed.
After they serviced my vehicle, I drove home parked the car in the parking garage where I live (a mile away) as I went out to my car to leave for work the following morning I notice a spot that appears to be oil by my left front tire on the concrete. I called them and set up an appointment for that night when I came home from work. They fixed it, explaining something had pinched the brake line, problem solved.
Next week, I 'm driving home and smell something like anti freeze, and notice my pedal is going a lot further than it should, like i'm loosing brake fluid. I call them again and tell them I will bring it in again after work (like I have nothing better to do) and close to closing they let me know it was a faulty caliper piston that was leaking, was fixed, I left.
The following week my abs light came on then off going to work, same scenario, I stopped by, the mechanic tells me, "it was not related to anything they did, but simply could be sensor." I asked him, I told him, "the abs light has never gone on in the 2 years I have owned this car until you guys worked on it." he basically stuck to his story, and I accepted his explanation, it has since gone off and stayed off up till now.
After a recent snow storm, although my car was parked in the parking garage overnight, the wife and I left the parking structure, as we start rolling I hear what sounds like something rubbing on my back right wheel, it does this for maybe a 100' or so then stops making noise, it has done this 4-5 times.
But I am done with the inconvenience of wasting my time with this shop and les schwab in general, I have zero confidence they can do breaks properly or bleed brakes properly. I saw on another post where a gentleman tried to get a senior discount after the work was done, and was told 'that store"didnt offer that or something to that nature. Not knowing they gave senior discounts of 10%, I called the store that did my work and asked them about their 10% senior discount, and was told that it wouldnt be on the brake work and tires which came to almost 1800 bucks, but the tires only, which i"bought on sale"and the discount with the"sale price "on the tires was more than the senior discount according to Dylan.
This is a company that thrives in deception and"Gotchas", and could care less how many times you have to return to have their shoddy work and parts corrected. You have been Warned
Desired outcome: I already have my 'desired outcome" , i want nothing to do with LS at any location .
Work on rack and pinion
I live on the Olympic peninsula and it is advertised that Les Swab does Rack and pinion steering. No Les swabs will touch it. Only Kenmore around Bothell will do it. I did get a answer from a boss from a local Les Swab. He said "Mark" I would do them but I don't have qualified people to do it. I have kids and other people that don't have knowledge and I'd hate to do it and put you on the road not knowing your safe. Some Les Swabs just say we don't do them anymore. If it is advertised on the web page you do Rack and pinion then it's false advertising. I will go way out of my way across a ferry to "Kenmore" to have it done, but take the advisement down please. List the Les Swabs that can do it. Kenmore is the closest place I can find and ver pleasant people to talk too. They have knowledge and experience and very willing to help me. As for the rest of them, well it is a minor crime to false advertising something you list you do but won't do it.
Desired outcome: I like to hear from the district manger of these stores why they don't provide the service and for them to take down advertising they can do steering components.
Because they don't want to pay the wages for an experienced tech. They hire part time kids and are LUCKY if they get an experienced shop guy that is willing to stick around...
New battery plus installation.
I had a new battery installed at the Les Schwab store located at 12215 Aurora Ave. N Seattle WA. on 12/13/2022. Les Schwab advertises a senior discount of 10% of "any" service. When I asked for my discount after installation I was informed that the discount was not available "here". I am 81 years old and feel I qualify. I suggest they not indicate a discount if they do not honor it.

Desired outcome: Refund of 10% on a bill, invoice [protected] store390.
Billing department
Currently - still occurring!
I made a payment in FULL on my account - plus $10.00 credit on the last weekend of July. The program said that if the payment was made by the last day of the month by 5:00PM that it would be credited to the account prior to the 1st and statements going out! But I have contacted them 3 times - they have NOT corrected it yet! They didn't credit my account when they did the statements August 1st, and then because they didn't credit my payment - they have billed me an interest charge every single month instead of correcting it. I should have had a credit! They are ruining my credit! What is wrong with them?
I made 2 payments in the store when they were doing their remodel. Neither were credited. i know other people who didn't get their payments credited either - is it the staff? Or just bad management!
Desired outcome: Fix my account! Correct my credit reports as I have never been Late! Treat me the way that Les wanted his customer's treated. Remove the erroneous late fees and charges, an apology would be nice - but fix my credit!
Scam winter tire change over price
For years I have swapped out winter tires with summer tires at various service centers. Decided to go to Les Schwab this November 2022; made online appointment. Got to the store was told 2hrs despite having appointment. Handed over the key. Hour later was told while the vehicle was in the bay that because I had r20 rims (wrong they are r19) and because they were not “les Schwab tires” that it was going to be 200$ to remount my winter tires. That’s asinine. $200 wtf. What a scam. All others reading this beware and go to a tire store that wants future business, because less Schwab is not getting mine.
Customer service- female that worked on 11-19-2022.
It is 11-19-2022. My complaint is over the course of weeks at the Sellwood- Moreland location..There is an older lady that works there that is completely unprofessional, condescending, and rude as anyone I’ve ever met. She is not helpful at all and seems completely miserable. My family has spent thousands of dollars with your company since the early 90’s. We have been loyal to a fault. But no more. I do NOT deserve to be talked down to by an employee of this location. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Desired outcome: Don’t care. You lost my business because of this lady. Me and my entire family.
Incompetent employees and shoddy work
Had an 11:00 appointment for snow tire swap on 11/2022 and requested the other tires and wheels be balanced also. Also had them make notes not to roll down the driver's window as it just started having issues. I step outside to take a phone call just in time to see a bunch of kids laughing at and joking about my vehicle. It's not much, but it runs and...
Read full review of Les Schwab Tire CenterTire warranty not honored
In the end of April 2022, I had purchased a set of new tires for my Rav4 2017 in the Les Schwab center.
It has been just over 6 months (5000 miles driven), and these tires are having persistent problems with pressure leaks on all four tires.
I have been to Les Schwab many times since trying to repair and understand what's wrong with those tires and to no avail. My vacation trip was ruined by these tires when they went flat and I was 2000 miles away from home.
Still, I did not get any reasonable answers from LS, but their procrastination and their unwillingness to honor a 5 year warranty the tires came with.
Please, honor your warranty and replace the tires before I start my further investigation and file more complaints against LS.
Desired outcome: Honoring the tire warranty and replacing all 4 tires for my AWD vehicle
Changing from all season to snow tires.
I have bought at least 4 sets of tires through Les Schwab over the last 20 years. However, the last set of snow tires I bought was from Costco. Last Friday 10/28/2022 I decided to go to the local Les Schwab to install my snow tires and dispose of the tires that were installed, the cost was 150.00. That is about 37.00 per tire I paid. On Sunday, 10/30/2022 I noticed the tire was low. Taking it back to Les Schwab on Monday 10/31/2022 and waiting 3 hours to have it checked they charged me 20 bucks. There was no hole or anything wrong with the tire or the rim. They made sure again to mention to me that I did not purchase my tires at Les Schwab. Guess what!? You did not do the seal the tire right the first time and had the nerve to charge me for not doing it right the first time. Guess who will never buy another set of tires or step foot in one of your stores again? This girl! That’s right my 1500.00 dollar run flats will be purchased elsewhere in April 2023. If you have not purchased your tires at Les Schwab, don’t go there they will totally harass you for not buying your tires there and not fix them right the first time. Worst customer service I have ever had at Les Schwab. I certainly hope that $20 you charged for not fixing it right the first time was worth it.
PS for the lady that actually did fix the tire the second time, this was not your fault, it is the fault of the Company for not standing behind their work.
Desired outcome: I'd like my 20 bucks back.
Battery and its warranty
On 10/25/2022, when returning from a doctor's appointment, my car wouldn't start. I had a 131800 24F XT - XTREME Power battery purchased 11/24/2021, so I called the nearest Les Schwab center (837 Stevens Drive, Richland, WA also where I had purchased the battery). They came jump started the car, told me to drive it around for about 10 minutes. At one point, my Toyota dashboard icon (meaning drive to nearest Toyota dealer) came on. I drove around for the 10 minutes, then went to Toyota to have them check everything else. The car stalled in the stall. Nothing could be evaluated unless I authorized a new battery. I did that. Once the battery was replaced, they did diagnostic testing and all is well; they believe there was a short in the battery. I called the Richland Les Schwab this morning and was told nothing could be done; no adjustment. 84 month warranty and it didn't even make it past 11 months! I am shocked at this level of customer service and will never use you again!

BMW Keychain
On September 29th, 2022 I took my 2009 328i into the Les Schwab location in Ukiah, CA for new tires. While my car was being worked on, I left my complete key ring with the mechanics. Upon receiving my keys back from Les Schwab, I discovered that my metal BMW keychain emblem was missing. I have had this Keychain since I bought the car four years ago.
When I went back to my local dealer, I was told that nobody remembers my keychain even though they were able to find the person who first took my car to put it in the shop. This keychain is apparently not being produced by BMW any longer. The only reason why it took me nearly a week to realize the keychain was missing, this was due to the fact that I was out of town after the car was picked up for the tires. The keys and the vehicle were in my garage the entire time since I was out of town. Nobody ever had possession of my keyring since I picked it up from Les Schwab.
When I went back to the local dealer to inquire about my missing keyring, the shop manager told me he couldn't find anyone who remembered my keyring. What a convenience for them. I sincerely believe that someone in that location has my keyring on their keys at this time. I believe that someone literally took my metal keyring from me while my tires were being changed.
I spent over $900.00 on two run flat tires that day. This is a $30.00 keyring and BMW apparently does not make it anymore. I would not complain here if I believed that the local dealer was being sincere about looking for it. I cannot replace it and I believe the flippant attitude of the manager basically accused me of lying. I will never spend another dime in this dealer again. I believed the $900.00 for two tires was excessive to begin with.
Timothy Turner
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for the $30.00 keychain that was stolen from my keyring. Nobody else had possession of my keys during this period except Les Schwab. That is why I know that this is where it went missing.
Wasted time in Monroe
I made an appointment and brought my car in at the right time. I wanted to get the shaking of the car fixed. I asked them to check the tires, the alignment and the shocks. I saw them take my car out for test drives at least twice. I saw that various people were talked to, I assumed they were ahead of me. I waited for two and a half hours until closing time and I was the last person in the store when finally one of the people says Is somebody helping you ?
They say they called my name. [censored], I was there the entire time, even though I was hungry. The guy told me I needed a tire (the tread was separating) and an alignment, never mentioned the shocks even though they're original shocks on a 20 year old car. End result nothing at all was done. I was given a piece of paper with the estimate for one tire and an alignment.
I'm not happy with the waste of time. I'm not buying tires from this outfit.
Desired outcome: Get 2 tires (I never get just one) and get the car balanced and aligned, and a report o9n the shock absorbers. It could have been done in the two and a half hour I was there.
Bogus service printed in the invoice.
Review for Les Schwab
Lone tree way, Brentwood, CA 94513
I Went in for the first time since I bought my tires from them, it’s due for the tire rotation. I paid twice the price to get their brand to get the “les Schwab promise” that’s their slogan which is very enticing, before I turned in my car I made a mark on my tires so I’ll know if they did the service or not. Not that I don’t trust them,I just want to make sure that i wasn’t wrong choosing them. After waiting for almost an hour. they gave the invoice summary. And there it is the tire was rotated in the invoice. I went out to see my car and to my disappointment the tires was not moved at all not a single one of them. I went back told the manager and instead of apologizing blamed me for not telling them that I need the rotation. I said are you freaking kidding me it’s printed already that it was done. but It wasn’t coz I marked them before I even left home. Well it’s a long argument with him. Lesson learned here, Sometimes it’s not the company it’s just the wrong people that works with them. I paid too much for the tires $1200 for 4 wheels i thought I’ll get the best tire service just a heart breaker. I hope you guys won’t fall for this kind of people. I thought it’s a name that can be trusted. It’s a big mistake. I’ll just let karma take over from here. Good luck feeding your families with all the disservice that you were paid for and for your church contribution. I’m sure you’ll get the blessings that you guys deserve. Thanks for all the [censored] and bogus services to your customers.
Employee that does the brakes and front end alignments at 100 se wy blvd
I have come into this particular location several times for front end work on my two vehicles my wife’s, and my employees. I do believe this employees shirt says Jeremy. I have been a little apprehensive about this gentleman being responsible for our safety due to his appearance and actions. We have suspected this since I I was able to actually speak with him for the first time 3 weeks ago even though we have brought 2 trucks since then. However, I figured I could be wrong as of current and not to judge a persons work ethic based on appearance. Last week I had been speaking to another customer while waiting for him to finish my truck (that I was promised would be done several hours prior!) and they actually were talking about this employee as well. I (as well as other customers) believe this gentleman is on drugs currently. It was my understanding that your company completes random, on the spot drug testing. Although I could be mistaken I will not put my wife’s, my, or my employees lives in jeopardy. Therefore, while he is working for your company (without evidence of a least to this company) we will not give you our loyal business. It’s upsetting that this is allowed! There is no possibility that this man could pass any sort of drug testy which makes your company liable should he be careless or do anything that could put a customers life in danger. I’m positive that others have felt and seen what we have and moved in to other company’s due to that reason alone! Best of luck!
Desired outcome: I can’t ask you to let him go but something needs to be done immediately before someone’s life is taken.
They Damaged my car and lied to get out of paying for it.
I went the Les Schwab located at 21609 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO 80015 for an alignment check. The check showed no need for an alignment, but they completed one anyway and then charged me for it. Then - the manager of the store brought to my attention a large scratch down the passenger side of my car. He said that there was equipment left down when they backed the car out of the bay and it scratched it. I submitted their required paperwork along with two bids from repair shops. Both bids were around $3,800. I waited 30 days before calling their headquarters to follow up Jamal Hamid said he hadn't received anything about my case, although the person who answered the phone knew he was assigned to it... Then, Eric, the manager of the store in Colorado who damaged my car lied and said I sold my car which excuses their need to pay for the damages. SOOO scummy. I will never use Les Schwab for anything ever again. If you search online, you will see many people have been screwed by their scummy business practices. So gross.
Rude Rep and having to schedule to get a problem even looked at
I got 4 new tires from LS about 5 months ago. Immediately the TPMS went off. I stopped by the store and they said 1 sensor was "acting up". Since then it has been worse. I took my car in for service and the mechanic said 3 of the sensors are not working and 1 works but appears to be rolling around the tire. with all 4 having problems after getting new tires, it seems odd. I stopped by the Moscow store today (Saturday) since it is my day off. The guy wouldn't look at my car, but said he would schedule something for later. I commented that I have always used Les Schwab for the last 25 years because of the service and asked when they started requiring appointments (I have never had to have on in the past). He got indignant and said he's too busy (never mind that the website says "walk-ins welcome"). If this is the way of LS since they were purchased from the family, I will do business with the small local shop!
Desired outcome: I want my TPMS repaired and not have to take time off work to do it.
