Horrible service and disguisting attitude towards customers. Your management is a joke and has no idea what is going on. Liquorland is a joke of a business they do not care about service they do not care about the customer.. I will be doing everything I can to tell people about this horrible store and to stay away they would be better off spending their money at Aldi..

Wednesday 20th November between 3:15-3:30pm. Drove through the drive through lane on the left and parked my car with the engine running. Waited to be served whilst I had my baby in the car. The lady made eye contact with me then continued on working, thereby ignoring me. I got out of the car and approached her after a couple minutes of waiting and asked her...

LiquorLand Australia refusal of service

Tried calling their customer service line to discuss my complaint, but after 20 minutes on hold, gave up and came on here instead. I have just had one of the most humiliating experiences at the Banora Village store. I very rarely drink alcohol, but decided a celebratory drink was in order this evening. I went into the store at about 7.40pm with my 13 year old son. I spent about 10 minutes perusing the various Vodkas and finally settled on a 4 pack of sugar free Smirnoff Ice drinks. I had my son hold these whilst I fished around in my bag for my purse and phone and then I took the drinks to the counter. The young lady (who didn't look much older than my son!) asked for my son's ID. I explained he was 13 and I was buying the drinks for me. She then proceeded to tell me in an accusatory tone that my son had "touched" the alcohol, and "showed an interest" in the alcohol. He held it momentarily whilst I located my purse and phone from my bag! I politely asked what she meant and she then stood back and condescendingly said: "It is against the law for me to sell you that alcohol now". I can only assume she believed I planned on supplying my 13 year old son with alcohol. I am a 41 year old, law abiding professional woman. To have this young lady loudly declare that she "could not" sell me the alcohol as it was against the law for her to do so, was degrading to say the least. I left with this young lady staring me down like I was some kind of degenerate criminal. I drove 2 minutes up the road to my local BWS, took my son in with me and purchased my drinks there. I relayed what had happened in the Liquorland store moments earlier and the sales assistant was gobsmacked and then quoted the law telling me that provided the minor was in the care of a guardian, they were permitted in the store and could hold the alcohol within the store. I found Liquorland's staff members' accusations to be defamatory to say the least. I'm so embarrassed I doubt I will be able to step foot in a Liquorland store again, for fear that I will once again be reprimanded for nothing more than innocently purchasing a few drinks on a Saturday night!

LiquorLand Australia online order pickup

I received 'ready to pickup' and went this store at 8pm on 21/10/2019. There was a staff whose name is Murray and he said he doesn't have any online order pickup without checking his computer and he sent me to other liquorland even I requested him to check the list again in computer. I went to other store and they said the first shop I visited was right store to pickup. Actually he had my order ready and just said no to me for fun. The other liquorland lady told me I can ask to Murray to see the list of order. He was yelling at me saying "I was not here when you ordered!" yes definitely he wasn't there because I ordered 2am. He might have been having fun with playing this to Asians.

He kept resisting to process my order and yelling at me so I asked him to call police but he did not want to. I searched and grabbed my order on the shelf by myself and put it on the kiosk. However, he did not want to give it to me. I managed store the computer and processed order to pickup then he suddenly asked me to show my ID and credit card which I paid on online. I asked him to print my receipt but he yelling at me that saying "why did you need a receipt!" and he said he doesn't know how to do it. So I managed PC again to print my receipt. And grabbed my order to go out and he said "you [censored]ing smart [censored] uh?"

LiquorLand Australia uberbrau imported lager btl

I bought two carton of Uberbrau imported lager BTL, I have been constantly sick and need to use toilet more than 5 times daily because I drink 2 bottles after work everyday.

I never thought that there was any problem with the Uberbrau imported lager BTL not until when I open the second carton and unknowingly my eye just picked settled stuffs at the bottom of the bottle and flying particles.

I checked through the rest of the carton and realised all sets of the beers are either spoiled, contaminated or factory fault.

This has caused a set back in trust I have in the quality of products from liquor land. Hopefully someone will respond to this soonest.

Thanks

Akin

LiquorLand Australia gurbinder / customer service

My partner who is 25yrs of age walked into the bottle shop to purchase alcohol for my self and her.
We walked from home as we live around the block and I was holding our dog out the front of the store.

My partner came out in a fit of rage because Gurbinder had asked her for ID.
As she did not have ID, as we were walking our pet around the block.

I then entered the store to purchase the goods, and Gurbinder also declined me from purchasing, as he stated that I was buying alcohol for that girl.

Whether I buy for "that girl" or not, is not the stores problem. If a person over the age of 18 shows ID, THEY ARE THEN DEEMED to purchase alcohol unless they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Which I was not as I just finished work.

As I said back to the clerk, "that girl, is a woman of 25yrs of age, who does not by law need to carry her license. " I also said that "that girl is my partner, I am 30yrs of age and she is 25, by law we don't need to provide ID.

Gurbinder still declined my purchase, as I asked for the store manager he also told me he can not help because there is not a manager on. I went into the coles store (7619) where a younger lady helped me with my complaint. I went back to Gurbinder where I asked for his name, store number (2442) and his managers name "Jo".

I am extremely unhappy with the service from this store.

As we then had to come back to the store with my partners ID to then purchase the alcohol that we were originally there for.

Thus putting an unessesary circumstance to the whole venture.

LiquorLand Australia service

Today I was treated with no respect from a member of the liqorland at Barkly square today in Brunswick, Melbourne.

I was refused service as a 20 year old because I was wearing a dress raising awareness for girls education in Africa with a hoodie on top. Apparently it was a school uniform and based on policy I could not be served. I explained that it was not a school uniform and proceeded to take off my hoodie to show the patch which clearly stated "I'm wearing a dress to raise awareness to help girls in Africa"
Totally ridiculous and treated with absolutely no respect.

LiquorLand Australia poor customer service

I went into the store this morning around 10am with my 13 year old daughter. She was looking at pretty champagne bottles and then picked one up. After a number of minutes I chose a bottle to purchase and then went to the liqueur area and I also looked there for a number of minutes before finally choosing a bottle. When I went to the counter after asking a question about the sizing of the liqueur bottle. I placed both articles on the counter to pay for the them. My daughter was then asked by the girl for ID. She was obviously underage. I advised the girl of this and then she refused to serve both of us. I get that my daughter can't purchase alcohol but I feel that the way she handled it was not the best way. Can I make a suggestion in the future if the assistant sees this occur that she goes upto the person and advises them nicely that she can't touch the merchandise rather then let the buyer spend 10-15 in the store choosing their purchases knowing full well that she was never going to be allow me to purchase them in the end. Wasted my time and could have been handled much better - some lessons in customer service and how this was handled is needed by this particular shop assistant. 10am Sunday 06.10.19 @ Garden City.

Exact same thing happened to me this evening in the Banora Village Store! Spent 15 mins perusing the goods with my 13 year old son, who held my drinks momentarily whilst I fished my phone out of my bag. When I took the drinks to the counter, the cashier (who didn't look much older than my son) asked for his ID and said he had handled the alcohol and shown "an interest" in the alcohol and as such she could not sell me the drinks. Gobsmacked to say the least! She effectively accused me of intending to supply alcohol to a minor. Will never go back.

On many occasions I've been going to put through a complaint about "Sharon" I've complained to other staff as well as the manager who suggested it be done online... admitting he's quite aware of who me I was talking about... other staff are fully aware of this too!! This woman is blatantly rude & obnoxious, not only myself, my husband but also my friend...

LiquorLand Australia staff member

I visited Liquorland yesterday, 26/09, around 8:30PM with my 15 years old son on Victoria Road, North Parramatta.
I picked up a bottle and went to the counter. The server at the counter pointed to my son and said "Boss I want to see his ID" (yes that's how he greeted me and that was the first sentence he spoke).
I told him that I'm buying the bottle so why he wants to see my 15 years old son's ID. He straight away refused to sell me the bottle.
He started serving a young couple next in the queue, they too were with a child around 7-8 years of age.
I asked the server why he is selling alcohol to this couple who is also with someone under 18 years of age. He replied saying that my son is a teenager and the other parents child is a toddler. I was surprised with his response.
I dropped my son to Coles next door and told him to wait for me there.
I went back into Liquorland and tried to buy the bottle but he again refused to sell. At this point, I told him that I'm going to call the cops because he can't refuse to sell a bottle to one parent accompanied with a child but sold a bottle to the other parent who was also with a child. And now my son is not even with me. He still refused to serve me.
I called the cops, I wanted them to facilitate with this situation and find a conclusion.
It was 9:00PM and a closing time for this server. So he asked me to leave. I told him that I'm not leaving until the cops arrive or he sells me the bottle. I told him that I'm happy to talk to his manager if he puts me on the phone.
I recorded the video of the conversation.
He then called the cops, 3 times in front of me, everytime complaining over the phone that a customer is not leaving and he has to close the store.
I told him that he can sell the bottle to me, close the store and we both go home. He straight away told me that he is ready to sell me the bottle if I delete that video from my phone. Did he say that because he thought that the video evidence might put him in trouble?
Anyway, I deleted it and showed him my phone. But again he said he is not selling me the bottle. What a big manipulative liar this guy turned out to be.
At this point I noticed a big sign inside the store saying "Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst in the store".
I asked him that as per the sign legally I can enter the store with a person Under 18 of age then on what grounds he refused to sell me the bottle? He looked at the sign and became speechless, he has no answer to my question. He face was like as if he saw this sign for the first time.
And then cops arrived. They listened to the arguments on both sides and told me that the store has to be closed and I have to leave. I can go ahead and file a complaint against the server. They also said that the server has a right to refuse to sell.
But I didn't get the answer from the server - on what grounds he refused to sell alcohol to me?
This is the worst and highly unprofessional experience that I ever had at any liquor store.
The server was highly rude and stubborn, he set out his own random rules for different parents and he didn't have any lawful reason for declining to sell to me.
After this experience I'll avoid going to any Liquorland store. But somehow I'm glad this happened as now I have one more reason to support and buy from small businesses.
It is very clear that big franchisee like yours is not at all interested in educating and training their staff members who are highly negligent, rude, arrogant and stubborn.
I will not be surprised if I see cops very often inside your store.

LiquorLand Australia online shopping pick ups

I'm wondering why the staff from Coles Online are allowed to pick up alcohol to fulfil their orders when these Coles staff don't have RSA's
New manager of Liquorland Narellan have never asked for copies of RSA's and have given alcohol to Coles Staff for Online orders that don't have one.
Management don't hold a current RSA there are only limited people who have RSA's and they are drivers for Coles Online. I feel this needs to be addressed urgently .

LiquorLand Australia refusal of service even with proof of id, discrimination/racism

Was refused service by the junior sales person (Jake) at Avondale Heights Liquorland store 23/8/19. Clear discrimination on age ( I'm 56), offered to show licence as proof, but was refused alcohol I usually purchase monthly, as he felt I would be buying it for my 29 year old pregnant daughter (who didnt have her ID on her at the time).

Right after I was refused service, Jake from Avondale Heights did not ask ( even younger looking customers) for their ID's as proof of age, which leads me to believe this was also discrimination against on background, as the later customers were anglo saxon looking as opposed to myself (european) and dark skinned.

I then asked to speak with his (Jakes) manager ( Rick) no surnames provided to raise a compliant.

Liquorland has lost $$ from this loyal customer. Hello Dan Murphy's and Woolies bottle shops. You have just won my business.

LiquorLand Australia customer service

My partner Steve visited your Mountain Gate LiquorLand store about 10 minutes from closing time tonight, Sunday 04.08. There was a girl running the store talking to a customer purchasing a cask of wine. My partner approached the counter and the man apologised for keeping him waiting while the female staff member continued chatting.

Here is our first issue. A simple eye contact and a ‘won't be a moment' would have gone a long way here.

A minute or two later the man left and the female staff member asked Steve what he was after. He purchased a deck of Deal Original Blue 30's cigarettes. He did a split payment with card and around $10 of silver coins.

And here is our second and main issue.

The female staff member was very rude and sarcastic at this point and by several comments and gestures she made regarding using coins as currency she made Steve feel like a second class citizen. She asked him if he was joking and left the coins on the counter for longer than necessary before slowly counting them.

She actually said ‘for future reference you shouldn't do this to a person who has to count a till. Now I have to count it all over again.' No joking tone or friendly implication. No smile. No thank you for waiting, I'm happy to help. He stood there red-faced.

I myself run a retail store and I understand that some nights you just want to get out of there. Coins can be frustrating but honestly you just deal with it and treat your customers with respect. One thing I sometimes say is ‘it's all money - don't worry about it. Thanks for choosing to spend it here.'

She doesn't know our story and we don't know hers. I can't expect her to know why he had to pay with coins this one time but I do expect to know that we will be given the same service no matter which payment method we choose to use.

If I was there I would have told her all this myself but to be honest I'm glad I wasn't.

I suggest you do a mystery shop with this girl and see for yourself how she treats them.

Thanks for your time,
Victoria

I'm writing in regards to the terrible customer service i just received from a male store worker at your Norfolk store on Thursday 1st August 2019 at 5:30pm.

Upon getting my choice of beverage out of the back fridge I noticed the storeman standing next to me waiting to put something in the same fridge from a previous sale. i stepped back to allow him to get into the fridge and accidentally bumped a price sign off a carton display behind me but instead of helping me to fix it i was asked " gee have you already had a few" and then as a side remark asked " do you think i have nothing better to do besides clean up your mess" i was a bit shocked by all of these sarcastic remarks and just replied with " um no I haven't had anything, i work with Children" (obviously still in my work uniform) and i quickly just walked to the counter to pay and leave.

I paid for my drinks and then he noticed i had my ID in my hand with my card so he said " oh can i see your ID even though I've already sold it to you but ahwell " i said "sure thing" he took my ID and replied " oh wow 92" and handed my ID back to me.

Now im not sure if the Man thought he was just being funny when saying these remarks to me but i just found it an extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable experience, especially seeing I've never gone into this particular Liquor land before and just happened to notice it on my home from work today. I probably wont return either because i had also heard him speaking to another customer in a similar manner. Id hope that whoever is reading this will follow up with this particular person and offer him some further customer service training as i feel everyone could benefit from it. Thanks

LiquorLand Australia very poor customer service

Afternoon of 31st July 2019: Elderly balding customer service bloke arrogantly asked me (40+) and other 40+ year old lady for ID. I'm not sure if he was all there or just being a [censored]. I go to this store because it's local even though it's more expensive than BWS. But this worker destroyed my customer service experience within your store. I will endeavour not to attend this store and I will inform at least 20 people to avoid this store also.

LiquorLand Australia customer service

Poor customer service at Clifton Beach (Qld) Liqourland store.
One of the ladies (older one) who works at this store is very racist/poor customer service. I entered the cold room, brought a carton of beer out to the counter to pay. The lady asked me for my ID which I did not have it on me at the time. I went to the car to get my ID, came back and showed it to her. She checked my ID but refused to serve me on the basis that I was going with a friend which also a mature person. I could not explain it to her that I buy the beer for myself. She was racist towards me and I felt ashamed because there are other customers waiting in the queue. I felt like I am a criminal.

I urged the management to investigate this incident for the sake of the company and this store. My contact number is [protected], please call me anytime if you need further information.

LiquorLand Australia service

I was in the Bribie Island shopping center LiquorLand store on the 22nd of July approximately 6pm. Went to use a Coles docket with a deal, appeared I was using docket incorrectly. After stating that I had used dockets for purchases previously at other stores the young female shop attendant carried on in front of other customers waiting behind my partner and I at the register, in a loud, demeaning and arrogant way. It's a shame that Coles don't train their staff to adhere to customer service standards and to show professionalism in their bottle shops. In future I'll stick to purchasing at Dan Murphies

LiquorLand Australia palm cove tavern palm cove qld

Attended your venue last with my husband an another friend, We spent most of our time in the gaming room and had a few drinks from the bar, approx total 2hrs duration in venue. The actual bar was practically empty with approx 12 people in the smoking area. At 9:20 pm I asked a bar staff member, which I believed was the manager, what time the next courtesy bus was leaving and was informed, the courtesy bus service had finished for the night, despite large signs in and around the venue offering a courtesy bus service and still at least 5-6 staff and security on duty. We have lived in the area for approx 9 years and this venue used to be our local go to bar. In the last 2 -3 years the customer service has gotten worse. No body goes there any more and you definitely do not see tourists attend like they used to. The Palm Cove Tavern was a thriving venue, now its empty.
The reason I'm complaining now is because this is about the 3rd time this has happened, we are spending money in the venue on drinks and gaming.
Wont be back, Trinity Beach Tavern offers a far better service with friendlier staff

LiquorLand Australia rude, arrogant, dishonest behaviour by the manager.

The manager of First Choice (LiquorLand) on Unley Road in Unley South Australia treated me in what is objectively an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. I don't know his name, but can state that he is most likely in his 30's, quite thin, has a number of tattoos and short auburn hair.
This occurred on a Friday evening (at approximately 5:30pm) on the 21st of June 2019.
I wanted to purchase a half dozen bottles of wine, under a special deal which was on offer at the time. Only four bottles of this wine were available. I asked if a particular deal could be offered to me because of the shortfall. The manager inferred that he was not authorised to offer me any discount other that exactly what had been advertised. His response was along the lines of saying 'You can say that I can't give you an offer of a deal myself, as long as I haven't said that myself'.
When I challenged him on this, he just smirked at me. The inference was that he had been dishonest, but only indirectly, so he could get away with it. Without question, he believed that he was too clever by half and would never face any consequence to this behaviour.
Basically, he behaved in an incredibly smug and arrogant fashion. He obviously felt that he was smarter and superior to me, and wanted to let me know this by making me feel small and unimportant.
This kind of behaviour and attitude by any staff in any position is unacceptable, but by a manager is unconscionable. I am currently considering whether I should ever return to this store. This decision would be much easier for me if I knew that this manager's behaviour was being investigated and appropriate remedial action had been taken. I would consider a sincere apology to me as an excellent first step.
Thankyou for this opportunity to air my grievances about this matter.
Yours Faithfully,
Dr A Antony Peciulis
