Set of mink lashes and one touch-up
I purchased a voucher to Lash Artist Academy for a set of mink lashes and one touch-up ($185 value) on November 22, 2013, for my elderly mother. She didn't want to use it after discovering that she would be a guinia pig for students learning how to do lashes. Later, I attempted to use it for before a special event, but the company went out of business. I reached out to Livingsocial.com to exchange the voucher. They would not accommodate my request. Instead, they referred me to Lashes on Broadway who informed me that I'd have to pay nearly $100 to get the full set. I couldn't afford it. Twice in the past 2-3 years, I called to see if the new company would let me get a full set. Both times, I was told that someone would look into the matter and call me back. No one ever did. One day, while in San Juan Capistrano, I noticed the shop next to Ruby's Diner, so I went in. I asked to speak to the manager. The girl at the counter sneared at me even though I didn't do anything to provoke it. Then, I heard her mocking me to another lady. I did share with her that it was not nice of her to do. Rather than apologize for her behavior, she huddled with the lady again and openly laughed. I heard one of them say "Vaca Gorda, " which means fat cow. I don't know what caused them to be so rude to me. I was so upset and humiliated, that I left and never went back. I'm going to attend a special event and need to get a set of lashes again. Due to how they treated me, I do not want to go there. Plus, it's closed due to the pandemic. I paid $90+ and got nothing for it. I would, once again, like to ask for a credit towards another purchase.
christmas photo cards
12/2/19: ordered 100 online printerpix photos with living social $17 coupon code. The site added $2.17 for processing and $9.99 for shipping.
12/24/19: one card arrived. One. One. They sent one card in a fed ex envelope... Missing 99 of the others.
12/27/19: I called the customer support line, which transfers to the united kingdom. Hold time over 30 minutes. Rep had heavy (indian) accent and was hard to understand. He would not credit the $2.17 or $9.99 shipping fee. He said they would send the other 99 photo cards for free but I would first have to pay another $9.99 for shipping via paypal.
12/29/19: rep sent payment link via paypal and I paid another $9.99 to have the remaining order shipped. The site said it would take 14-21 days to arrive. (thanks christmas cards closer to super bowl!)...
1/3/20: I called printerpix to try and get the $9.99 credit. Again the rep said they wouldn't credit the shipping charge... Said the $9.99 was a standard shipping charge for one card or 1, 000. I asked to speak to a supervisor. There were no supervisors available. He said one would call me back by the end of day... But no one called me back.
1/6/20 no cards. No call back. Contacting living social online... No phone number available.
My call back number is [protected] [protected]@swbell.net
No customer support phone number.
2 hour photography class from northlight photography
Hello and hope all are doing well. I bought my voucher a few years back. My voucher [protected] doesn't expire until June 16th, 2019. When I tried to redeem, the company said they no longer honor these vouchers. The company should either shorten the expiration time or honor the voucher until expiration date. Please contact me at [protected]@hotmail.com to resolve. I would like a refund of 59.00. Thank you, Anna
Read full review of LivingSocialshaw academy course
WOW! I bought a couple of vouchers from LivingSocial. I used one for Shaw Academy and after the course bought a lifetime membership. I called LivingSocial to refund the second Shaw Academy voucher and they won't. You only have 3 days to request a refund so don't even bother buying no matter how good the deal sounds. All the rep from LivingSocial did was read me their hidden details. They are a SCAM. They won't even provide a credit. BTW the call center and online chat is in Columbia - so good luck getting nowhere.
unsubscribe
Loving social - still keep getting email notifications after unsubscribed.
I unsubscribed but still get notifications for emails from living social. When I click to open get ooops email not available. Living social is the only app that does this! I get several of these ooops emails a day. HELP!
Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
coupon recently purchased
I purchased a coupon for a credit for money off a meal at Mel's diner in Los Angeles, CA from the website living social. The voucher wasn't used although we had lunch there. I contacted Living social to receive a trade in credit and an agent Sebastian R was less than remotely professional or accommodating. Sounds like the end of a business relationship over $13.50 that could have been corrected by a credit to my account for other goods and services locally, something that they have done for me in the past. Pathetic but I am going to make sure consumers are aware! To me it's fraud!
Living social needs customer service training and how to treat their consumers better. Isn’t that business 101?
massage
After purchasing a massage, I called the business and was told it was for women only. The printed voucher does NOT specify for women only. The fine print when purchasing does specify women only. So, I contacted LivingSocial and explained the problem. Not only would they not entertain a refund, but they would not issue a credit for a future purchase. Groupon on the other hand has issued me a credit for the same type of problem. My advice is to not but anything from LivingSocial. Instead go to Groupon.
product ordered nothing shipped
This is product that has been ordered and the money has been taken out of the account except no product ever received. The product was ordered on Aug. 26th or 27th. My name is Zola M. Marshall at 1004 NE Deerbrook Terr. in Lee's Summit Missouri 64086 you give 2 phone numbers and the 1st one is out of service and the second one is busy the 4 times I've tried to call. This deal is a scam:

The address is 4596 Davis Ave, Conifer, CO 80433, which the post office will confirm doesn't actually exist. This same address was used for another massage scam a while back under a different company name. I bought that deal and the company was unreachable and I got my money back. Any time you see this address, it's a scam.
last night first time order!
I am very upset with your website. Somehow two items ordered in error and I attempt to submit a return and it is not responding. I had used my work email to submit a login, so I was not able to cancel before a 2 hour grace period. This is my first purchase with your website and the site is not friendly user and sadly will not further purchase another item with your Company, please have someone assist me in returning the that was purchased in error last night.. I appreciate your assistance! My phone number is [protected] or [protected].
Hope to hear from someone soon!
massage
I bought these massages via Living Social and called in February to use my credit. I was directed to a separate line for "Groupon" clients and was told they had a big back log and they would be in touch with me and to not keep calling. I have not heard back from them, am not pleased with their customer service, and would like my money back. This is unacceptable and the second time I have reached out to Living Social to make it right.
voucher for hair service
I purchased a voucher on livingsocial for a brazilian blowout on february 19, 2018 for $179.00. I didn't realize that the "deal" offered by the salon providing the service was for "new clients only". Turns out, i'd been to this salon before, but it was under a different name and was at a different location... The salon was also listed under the wrong address their web page, than the one the stylist was actually at. Very fishy. When I got to the salon (which I had to leave work early to attend the appt), I was excited to have this done, and the stylist said that since they wouldn't take my voucher that I could contact livingsocial for a refund and just pay for the service, which we proceeded with...
It was incredibly tough for me to contact living social. I wasn't able to get onto the webpage & submit for a refund as was the case with groupon. I sent multiple emails and they didn't reply until a month later. The customer service rep finally sent some long canned email saying, "volume was high/busy sorry for delay blah blah" then offered to give me some sort of livingsocial voucher which I want nothing to do with.
I'm a busy professional... I have no time to chase them down. However, I do want my money back!
fraudulent charge by living social
I bought $5 Starbucks deal ($10 value) on March 23, 2018. Living Social charged me twice. One transaction has the correct info with invoice number, the second one is very suspicious one : "PAYPAL *LS 1081 AVIATION [protected] 840 - Purchase". LS stands for Living Social, but when I called the number, it was Groupon`s number (I did not order anything from Groupon). The only thing I bought was $5 Starbucks card from Living Social.
I am very mad at Living Social to do such fraud and requesting to refund.
The issue has been resolved, please close the complaint
trying to get refund for voucher
I purchased a voucher to Victoria's Nails in Shawnee, KS and used it about 6 weeks ago. I liked their service and decided to buy a couple more through an email. I found out that I could only use one voucher with them (the first one) and they will not honor the 2nd and 3rd. Someone at the shop said I could get credit for the amounts paid for those. I am having trouble finding anyway to contact Living Social. Can you help me? My vouchers are #[protected] and #[protected]. Donna Massey

travel deal to china 25% off
My name is Joe Geringer and myself and my wife bought one of your 10-day China trip packages with the lure that you were offering 25% off the trip. 25% off appears all over your e-mail, ad and everywhere else except for when you go to purchase and the final discount is capped at $50.00. Now if this is not deceptive advertising then I don't know what is. This practice will be reported to the Better Business Bureau unless you truly do honor your advertised 25% off. Below is a screen shot of the e-mail for the promotion.
The rate quoted was $919.00 before the 25% discount and we received $50 off totaling $869.00.
What should have been with 25% is $689.25.
I see that you should refund us a total of $359.50 to total a 25% discount.

utah body spa
I purchased 3 sessions of polar-body lipo from living social. I received the voucher via email. I contacted utah body spa 3 times may phone leaving messages; the company never got back to me. I then emailed the company7 and they never got back to me. I contacted living social, explained my situation and asked for a refund. All I received from living social was an email stating "we are so happy to resolve your complaint" and sent me copy of the same voucher. I replied to living social asking for an explanation and my email was "rejected" by living social. Follow up emails to living social have received no replies. I will never, never, never again purchase from this disorganized and fraudulent company.
pacific dining car, los angeles, ca [protected]
I am totally embarrassed because staff told me (waiter, Daniel, and front desk hostess, Emma) that they haven't done business with Living Social for years. My voucher was refused and was told it was a fraud.
I paid for a $75.00 voucher which expires on December 24, 2017.

(4) Reflexology Acupressure Foot Massage Mat
I've reached out via phone several times and they tell me they cannot assist me. My children and I all were an accident and truly needed these items which were ordered and paid for. Perhaps someone could look into these and inform me how I can actually receive them?
Thank you,
Tricia Cietek
unethical behavior
I arranged for a 10-day trip to China through Living Social. Departure was 12/2/17. The company, Rewards Travel China (RTC), promised — in writing — that the airline they use is Hainan Airlines, an award-winning, first class operation. Based on this, I finalized my trip. RTC also promised to have my flight information 2-3 months before departure (which would be around September or October). After a number of emails asking for the flight information, I finally received it on November 15 — some two WEEKS before departure. I also noticed that I was not booked on Hainan Airlines — as promised — but on China Eastern Airlines, which is a budget airline with poor reviews. This is a classic "bait-and-switch," and I have chosen not to go on the trip and to seek a refund (which RTC is reluctant to give).
I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, but RTC claims it did not say they would use Hainan Airlines; again, I have it in writing that they would.
Their website claims that they book "5 star hotel accommodations in downtown location." This is decidedly untrue as the hotels are outside the major cities and 3-4 star at best. They also claim that "[w]hen you contact us by phone or by e-mail, we promise to get back to you within 24 hours. (During our working hours)." Boy, is this not true as I had to send numerous emails and make a few phone calls before I could get an answer.
I have no complaint with Living Social, but I am writing for two reasons: 1) to ask if there is anything that can be done to secure my refund? and 2) to warn consumers about Rewards Travel China and to think twice before booking a trip with them. Living Social should also vet this company a little more, as there are similar complaints against them on the internet.
Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Uh... Hee-hee-hee... I think the contact information asked for on the complaint form is mine, not the company's. Sorry. I'm in dublin, oh. Hee-hee-hee.
printerpix voucher for photo blanket
Bought a voucher for two photo blankets with Printerpix.com and they charged me shipping and confirmed my order sent and then sent an email to me saying the order was not completed and the tracking number they provided me with for my order is not a legit tracking number. Tried to call printerpix customer service, they put me on hold for 30 mins and then hung up on me at least ten times when I called back after that.
