hair coloring services (roots were not fully covered and hair was fried)
I was at this salon about 4 weeks ago and the stylist did a great job, since my roots were showing i wanted to get them colored. I had such a great experience the 1st round I thought i would go back. The entire time I was fine the stylist is very kind and courteous. It took 3 hours to touch up my roots because of the highlights. Well, after it was washed I noticed he kept adding more dye to my hair at the wash station. Then when we got back to the seat he said "does it look OK? Is it too light?" It did turn out lighter than i intended but I was OK with that. My biggest complaint is that I was there to get my roots touched up because I have a lot of gray hair especially around my face and after paying 78 dollars the gray is still very noticeable. So now my hair is not only lighter, its fried so much that i have to go tonight and get it cut and my roots need touched up AGAIN. Not going to MasterCuts. I paid 78 dollars and gave Cody an 11 dollar tip on 10/27/18. Please refund me for this visit. I feel like the reason I was there was for my roots and the dye job was so poor that I have to visit another salon to fix my hair and I have to get it cut off.
haircut
my hair was supposed to be a bob cut. he shaved me in the back causing bald spots and unevenness. in the front he cut straightacross bangs resulting in me looking like Uncle Fester with a wig. The sides were left uneven short long. 10/25/2018 at salon 2446. I had to got o another salon to try to fix it and it still looks awful. there wasent really anything the could do but shave the back, shorten it and trim it a little, she said it was pretty bad in the back. The isnt anything to do but let it lie there no was to style it it is to short. The photos show what it looks like after smartstyle tried to fix it.
hours of operation and stylist
On Oct. 11, 2018 I went to get my hair cut at MasterCuts in the Southland Mall Houma, La. It was 7:00 pm and the girl with green hair and a coworker was locking the gate. She said they were closing due to shortage of stylist. She said comeback tomorrow. I was not happy since the Mall closed at 9:00 pm. On Oct. 18, 2018 I drop my child off at the dance studio a few stores away from MasterCuts. It was 6:00 pm. I walked in and the lady with the green hair is on her phone and another lady with shoulder length hair was blow drying her own hair. I waited about 3 min. before they noticed me. The girl with the shoulder length hair ask me what I wanted. I said I just wanted a cut no wash are style. I think she told me it was $19.95. Then the lady with the green hair still seated in the salon chair on her phone yelled out it would be $5.00 more, because my hair was long. She even ask me to turn around. She was ready to take me and I said I was waiting for my other daughter. I also said my daughter told me to ask for Tiffany. Then there was Tiffany near the lady with the green hair. I ask if she could take me and she said yes. I said I was going sit on the bench and wait for my daughter. There were no customers in the salon. It's 6:10 pm when I walked out. I walked back in the Salon at 6:18 pm and again they didn't notice I was standing there. Tiffany was brushing the green hair ladies hair and the other girl was towards the back of the store. The lady with the green hair laughed and said I didn't know you were there. What do you need. Like she didn't remember me from 10 min ago. I said I'm ready for my haircut. She looked at her phone, I'm assuming to check the time. She then whispered something to Tiffany. Then Tiffany said to me can you come back tomorrow. I said are you serious...the the lady with the green hair said we close at 7:00 pm. I said Jesus it's 6:20 pm and walk out. I can't express how angry I was.
I have worked previously in that Mall for 15 or more years and also been on the board for that Mall. I have been in Retail for over 40 years as D M, Manager, Merchandiser, Customer Service, and also worked for Matrix and Redken. You will not have a successful business if you have people on your payroll that is horrible in cust. serv, and not even promoting your business. So they sat on there buts from 6 to 7pm refusing clients. I was in the mall till 7:30. Regis salon was very busy, they had 4 to 5 customers in chairs not stylist in chairs. I had to pass back in from of MasterCuts to pick up my child. Took a photo of there sign on there gate. We are NOT CLOSING we are SHORT STAFFED. Closing Early Mon. to Sat. 10 - 7 and Sun. 12-6. We will have these hours till further NOTICE. To make a app. call. WOW... 3... STYLIST not taking clients while there, but will close early because not ENOUGH STYLIST. I will be calling Mall Management today. I know all the stores I ran in a mall if you closed early, you would be fined. You know we can't run a business without our team in the stores. But if the people running your store right now is a reflection of your business. You might as well closed the doors. Because they have all ready closed the doors.
Thank You,
CM
.
Also I would Like to apologize for the description I made of two of the stylist. I didn't know there names and could only go by description to tell my shopping experience at MasterCuts.
Thank you,
CM
management
I have been coming to Master cuts west county mall St Louis, Missouri. The stylists are wonderful, the three (all part time) that left. It seems that they have no support and no new stylists are being hired. Instead a receptionist was hired to tell customers that stylist (Three) work six days and on Wednesday there isn't a stylist working at all just the reception ist. Is corporate closing this store? Many customers as timers will be angry, including myself. Treat you employees with respect! Treat the customers with respect. Hire more stylists or send help from corporate. We here is the regional managerget in all this?
hair color
I went to mastercuts store #00326. I specifically ask for a certain color and highlight and if they couldn't do to let me know. I showed the pic and they said they could. Not only get the girl get dye in both my eyes but I'm not Happy with my hair at all and I had to pay 106 got this plus whatever it cost to fix it. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend you're place of business. The girl said she hadn't even graduated from school she was just listen to the other lady.
stylist complaint priscila salvador
Salon #43063 Priscila Salvador refused to give me the permit number or take a picture of it. She had her license hiding in the little compartment on the desk and not out to see like everyone else. The complaint starts with me talking my brother which is in a wheelchair to get a haircut. I speak to the stylist and tell her we need a double zero fade, a 2 on the top and bangs in the front just a little longer than the number 2. I did tell her 3 times total, even in Spanish because her accent sounded like she learned English at a late age, im not saying its bad to have an accent, I just wanted to make sure she understood because my brother usually gets a haircut from me and this was the first time in years I talked him into letting a professional do it. After she explained that they don't do double zeros, she only does zeros, I said okay that was fine. while I stood by I see her start with the #2 in the sides and then she worked her way up. when I see her cutting the front where I told her about the bangs, I asked what number she was using and she said a #2 like I asked so I replied with and the bangs I told you about. Well without even looking and missing a beat, she replies with that I didn't tell her anything about it and that was the last thing, she kept cutting away without addressing it again. I let her finish because I didn't want to make a scene in front of my brother and when she finished that's when I asked to see her license or permit or what ever it is that allows them to cut hair. she was about to let me see it and I was going to take a picture cause im bad with numbers in my memory and im sure there are a lot of prescilas in texas cutting hair when she takes it away and ask why I wanted it, I told her to make a complaint, another employee told her not to give it to me, just the give me her name. like I said, I didn't want to make a scene nor did I want to resolve to recording the incident and posting it on social media like others do. she finally wrote her name down, printed the receipt and I walked away. the printer needs new ink because I cant see all the numbers on there but am glad to forward a picture of it. the date of this was today 9/12/18 at a little before 6pm central time. a refund would be nice but I just don't want this to happen to someone else just because someone isn't paying attention. its gonna be my brothers birthday on the 14th and now he has to go looking like he did.
rude stylist
Stylist at Mastercuts in Coral Ridge Mall, Coralville IA on the weekend of August [protected] was incredibly rude. My hair is naturally dry and curly and she accused me of heat damaging it. I explained that I don't use heat on my hair whatsoever, but that the natural texture of my hair is more dry. (Even if my hair had been heat damaged, the way the stylist brought it up was inappropriate and accusatory). She proceeded to lecture me throughout my cut. But the part that upset me most was how roughly she was brushing my hair. As I have curly hair, I usually brush it dry with a wide toothed comb to avoid damage. She wet all my hair down and proceeded to attack my head with a fine toothed metal comb, calling the curls tangles. She was so rough that my scalp was scratched and I could hear my hair breaking and shedding. I didn't know what to say and cried when I got home because I was so embarrassed and upset.
color
Very unhappy with my color. I understand that the stylist can't always duplicate a picture, but I feel as if she didn't even try. This is not even remotely close to what I had asked for. I gave it about a week knowing that after a few washes it'd be different, but I'm still so disappointed. This is not at all what I asked for. Not only did the stylist do what she wanted with my hair, she totally ruined and damaged it.
haircut
I gave the salmonist an image of the exact haircut haircut I wanted for reference of what I wanted my hair to look like and she completely veered from the image I gave and the choices I asked for. I asked for a medium length haircut with a complete fade. She cut the hair so much shorter than what i asked for and didn't finish cutting the fade, leaving me with an incomplete haircut
haircut itself.
I went today to the Mastercuts in the Pecanland Mall in Monroe, LA. I need a trim for a year. I went and no one waiting. I got in a chair fast. The person who cut my hair did the trim but dry cut my hair. No checking hair, no water, no nothing. I paid $24. I will have to go somewhere to get this fix. I want a refund. The people were nice but that is it.
mastercuts of biloxi
Went in on July 3rd, wanted a simple scissor trim and sides shaved.
It was so bad that a week later it is still noticeable from far away, even after I had partially fixed it myself. She took the hair off of one ear, but not the other, and completely farmed the side she did, leaving a noticeable gap missing. The sides, which were to be shaved, were so poorly done that I had to go back with my own beard trimmer and try to clean it up.
I went in to the store to talk to the worker about it and show her how bad it is but was told they wouldn't do anything for me and turned away at the door. She said that since it has been 7 days, she won't fix it. It seems reasonable that I would be more entitled to having it fixed after attempting to grow it out a whole week and it still being noticeably ruined to the point my coworkers notice it. I work 2 jobs and take night classes, otherwise Id have been there on the 4th or 5th when they reopen, but that's logistically not possible.

poor customer service
Date of incident: 7/6/18 ~6:30pm
Location: MasterCuts Hair Salon - Mall in Columbia STE 1605 Columbia, MD 21044 Salon #2021
Incident Description: My husband and my son visited this location for haircuts. When I came to meet my husband and son at the salon, I walked into your establishment my husband was getting his hair cut, but my son was sitting in a chair with his hair partially cut. When I looked around the salon to see where was his stylist, a stylist on the other side of the salon was cutting another customer's hair and told me my son was acting up so she moved on to another customer. When she finished with the other customer, I explained to her that I found it unacceptable for leave my son with a half completed job. She then stated that my son was too old to be acting like a child and she had never seen a child act this way. I told her that this response was unprofessional. She asked me how would I have reacted if a customer acted the way he did, I tried to explain to her an approach but reminded her she should know this working in customer service. However, she still seemed unaware of what she did wrong because she made sure to tell me to "get a life" and stated that I must have been "having a bad day". At this point, I asked her that if I was of male and/or Caucasian would she speak to me this way in public. She dismissed me. My husband, who is Caucasian, had to talk to her, and she decided to complete my haircut. But, while he stood with my son as she finished his haircut, she told him that she could understand why my son was acting this because, again, "I am angry". My husband had to tell her at the end of the haircut again that he felt she was behaving inappropriate. I am quite disappointed with this transaction that I am now spending my time typing this email. As an educated individual, who has dedicated her career to provide service to under-served and underrepresented individuals, I know I was treated unfairly based upon your employee's negative stereotypes regarding my skin tone. No customer should be treated this way. Your employee showed no compassion or empathy to my son and certainly not me. I hope you take this narrative seriously and reach out to the manager about this incident, so he can teach this employee about compassion, empathy, exceptional service. If not, I have already posted online a description of the event, so other customers in the area aware of what they might encounter. I will note that the previous customer reviews have been mostly negative, which supports my concerns regarding this location's customer service. To end on a more positive note, your other stylist exhibited true class by approaching me and apologizing for your other employee's behavior. By this act of kindness, my faith in humanity was partially restored. But, I hoping you all will do the right thing by addressing this issue sooner than later.

Went to master cuts at the east field mall in Springfield mass this afternoon. Not surprised all the stores are shutting down! The girl had one girl she was cutting and no one waiting. She told me there would be a long wait and did I want to make an appointment for tomorrow. I looked around to see why it was so busy, there was no one else there! I was only getting my six year old granddaughters hair trimmed a half of an inch. Rude rude rude! I will never use master cuts. This happened at twenty if three this afternoon. If the manager of this salon is reading this then this girl needs to go. Your losing business! But then again there isn’t much there to begin with! Patti
I paid $37.50 and my hair is stings with no style or wrap hair style.
I am asking for a full refund. I have events to attend and my hair is a mess. Shone burned my scalp so many times. She has the most negative attitude. I arrived 7:30pm and she was not in a good mood. I should have left but I really needed my hair done to attend events this weekend. Attached is photo's of my hair style after leaving the salon. I was so frustrated and disappointed: Stylist Shone. Store # 01842 in Lake Charles, La.
Wraps are bouncey with body and style.
STRINGS... UGH take this post down... it was not for publishing...
attitude problem
Having been a customer of MasterCuts for over a decade now, please note that I was both shocked and surprised by the experience at my last visit.
The woman who cut my hair was not only rude to me throughout the appointment but was also unable to cut my hair so that it was even on both sides of my head.
When she asked me how the hair looked after cutting it, I mentioned that it was uneven and she responded that she knew how to cut hair and that she was obviously not done yet. I said ok and kept quiet.
When she stopped cutting the hair again, I asked her if she could make some changes. I had initially asked her to cut my hair as all the hairdresses typically do with long layers in the back and the hair angled in the front with the shortest layer starting at chin length. I showed a photo of my last cut which I loved to remind her what I was hoping to achieve. She snapped at me and told me the look that I am describing and the photo I showed to her were two completely different things and continued to complain. She started asking me if I wanted holes in my head? I was very confused and told her that I've never been asked that before. She told me if the hair was angled in such a way that I was describing I would have holes in my head. I was so frustrated and felt like leaving then and there and should have called a manager because this woman was out of control.
I was very unhappy with the cut and mostly the poor way I was treated. I will NEVER return to MasterCuts again.
permanent
My Mother went to master cuts and had a partial perm just top( as her hair is extremely short at back and sides)when finished stylist trimmed the back part of her neck. The bill was 93.oo.I am outraged they charged her for a haircut on top of perm and for a partial perm cost 77.00 not even a high-end salon has ever charger this for a perm on my 89yr old Mother. Plus she had a 50.00 gift card that the stylist said would not work well of course not when she was trying to put the whole amount on. When Mom voiced about the price stylist only just smiled, PS the stylist is the owner-manager.We both like the cuts but will not ever go back because I feel that Mom was taken advantage of and her concern was not dealt with in a respectful manner

Susan
haircuts/coloring of hair
My haircut was not done the way I want it or how I want it. Hair color comes off to easy. When I went to get my money back the manager was being rude and did not gave me my money back. The manager offer to give me a new haircut and recolor my hair. I do not want that. I want my money back. I luckily went to styles America and my hair was fixed. Please refund me my money that I spend in mastercuts
unprofessional behavior
Here's the review I just left on Yelp about my experience today at MasterCuts in the Lloyd Center Mall in Portland, Oregon:
Although I'm satisfied with the end result, it was not worth the pain and the way I was treated! I have always had a hard time, because I have a long neck, with having my hair washed in salon basins. After a few minutes, my neck starts cramping and it is very painful. I tried to stick it out, but after about 5 minutes, I explained my problem to Trina, my stylist. She was not sympathetic. She continued with my shampoo and rinse for another 15 minutes, and the pain was so excruciating. I had to sit up several times for it to stop. Instead of sympathizing, she got angry! I felt like a fool, trying to explain that my neck really hurt, and got glares and monosyllabic responses, to the point that I knew she either didn't believe me or just thought I was a grumpy old lady. I am not that! We had a very pleasant time before that, but then there was no conversation, and I left after my cut and before having it blown out, just to get out of there. It's been about an hour, and my neck still hurts. I was so upset that I had trouble figuring the tip and left her way more than I intended. I should have left nothing! I'll never go back to MasterCuts!
jordan creek mall store
My husband and two boys went Saturday May 26 to have haircuts. When they arrived the air conditioning has been out for 3 weeks! I felt horrible for the employees but then to ask your customers to sit in the hot salon when it is 100 degrees outside? Please get the air conditioning unit fixed for them. We love going to the said but not when it's hotter in the salon than outside.
customer service
On sunday may 20th 2018 I called the salon mastercuts at 4:30p.M. The salon is located in the bridgeport mall and they close at 6 p.M. I asked if they would be able to do a teenage boys haircut, they advised me as long as I was there before 5:30 since they start closing down the register and start cleaning their stations around that time. At 5:02 I arrived there since I live 30 minutes away. There was 4 ladies working 3 which was cutting other boys hair. One had just finished and was cashing out her customer. As my nephew and I waited behind the man paying for his grandsons haircut, the women leaned around the counter and said can I help you, I said yes ma'am I need his hair cut. We are closed she said. I replied I just called here and was advised if I was here before 5:30 I could get it. We had walkins. Mind you there is no one else in the salon except for the waiting mothers of the current 3 boys getting their hair cut. I said I drove clear from grafton after I called and the girl running the register just leaned back up in her chair and pretended like I was not there. I thought this was the worst customer service I have ever had there. I have been a loyal customer to their establishment for years. Needless to say I will not be back...
hair color
I went into the salon at the Mall of America and showed Savannah a picture of what I wanted. She did a consult with me to pick out the colors and proceeded for the next 6 hours to cut and color my hair. The dye sat on my head for 3+hours which caused my scalp to peel off and the bleach she used on my ends was also left on too long and now my hair is fried. When I left I gave her a $50 tip thinking she did such a great job spending 6 hours on me only to realize that 6 hours is not normal and it shouldn't have taken longer than 3 (which is what Savannah told me in the beginning). When the dye was finally washed out she said it would look a lot better after a few washes... this was my first time getting my hair done so I really had no idea that that was a load of [censored]. I called the salon to get my hair fixed and savannah said it doesn't look like what I wanted because the colors are so drastically different and it'll just take some getting used to. And when I said there was a straight line between the dark and light she said she had to go to urgent care bevy her arms went numb after doing my hair the first time... I called again and booked an appointment with nicolle. I had to go in two more times to fix the disaster that Savannah created. Nicolle did a great job with what she had, but it still is nowhere near what I wanted. On top of it all I have to go get my haircut again due to how fried it is from Savannahs disaster. I am asking that you refund me the money I spent on a horrible job, as well as a voucher for a free haircut. And I would highly recommend either letting savannah go, or sending her back to school.
