routine oil change
Over a month ago I went into the Nazareth location. The only reason why I went here was because it was next to my gym. During the service, the guy working didn't put the truck on the lift right so it shifted and was shaking. He brought it down and smashed the drivers side running board and broke it. Brooks told me the oil change was free and the would REPLACE the running boards. Both since they come in pairs. Gave him the measurements. After WEEKS of trying to get him to fix this I called corporate and 2 days later the truck was in getting fixed. They told me it would take 2 hours. It took 10 min because they never replaced the running boards they only replaced the piece! I also told them twice I needed a copy of proof I had the oil change for our warranty. I asked when I went in to get it fix if I can have it. I was told everything was deleted from the system. Call corporate again to get invoice. Talked to Joe. Sounded like he was typing an invoice while on the phone. Said he would email it right away. NO EMAIL was sent! This is beyond the worst service I have ever experienced! What was suppose to be a normal easy oil change has turned into the biggest hassle ever!
poor work performed on my vehicle
I would like to share my recent experience with Mavis Discount Tire company. I'm a repeat customer and had good experiences for approximately 8 years before July 7, 2018. On Saturday, July 07, 2018 I had an appointment for an oil change and to check my brakes. I was told over the phone that I needed brake work. They stated that the left front caliper was locking up making it unsafe to drive. This repair would require front brake pads, front brake rotor, left front brake caliper and right front caliper. All totaling with oil change $556.20.
Everything seemed fine until Sunday July 08, 2018 when I was going to a church service approx. 50 miles away from my home with some of my church members. I heard a noise underneath my vehicle, as I crossed the Kingston Rhinecliff bridge. When it was safe I pulled over and looked under the truck to find the shield under the truck has dropped down and dragging on the ground sending rock and gravel into the engine. I was extremely disappointed because this is not the first time this has happen after Mavis changed my oil. The first time it happens was after an oil change and the next day when I noticed it. I call the shop to be told by an employee that they were closing and shutting down the computers (15 minutes before closing time) and couldn't service me. I was not about to drive my SUV to work the next day. It's approx. 45 miles drive to work one way. I had to find a near by shop to ask them to secure the shield and they didn't have a problem doing it.
Now, going back to July 08, 2018 the 2nd time the shield came down I was told after waiting hour (+) that they find some bolts to put the shield up. The car was drivable, so I proceed to go to Chatham NY (50-miles drive one way). The next morning when I went to work. Now, let me remind you it is a 45 miles drive. To arrive at work to find that my shield has dropped again. While I was standing at my vehicle looking at the dropped shield. My instincts told me to check my oil because there wasn't a sticker to remind me of my next oil change on the windshield. When I checked my oil, there wasn't any oil on the dipstick. I called Mavis at [protected] Ulster Ave. Kingston, NY 12401 facility #7080291 and told the manager of the situation. I told him that the vehicle was not drivable, and therefore he sent a tow truck to my job. My vehicle was towed to a near by Hopewell Junction Mavis on 1030 Route 82 Hopewell Junction NY Facility #: 7119395. The shop had to put oil in my vehicle before they could remove it off the tow truck into the bay. Then I had to take off work to go get my vehicle after they worked on it. The next day at work the shield fall down again so, I took it back to Hopewell Mavis and left it there. About 2 hours later they call me to come get my vehicle it was fixed.
When my fellow co-worker and I arrived at the shop. I noticed that they ZIP TIED my shield underneath very unprofessional. I told the manager that this was unacceptable and that I wasn't pleased. Manager stated that he will go to the part store and purchase some bolts. Then again, I had to leave and come back again. Now if that wasn't enough I looked today to find that when they did my brake work at the Kingston Mavis location they broken one of my lug nuts on my front driver side and care not to mention it to me when I picked up my vehicle.
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate it if you would compensate me for the hassle and frustration that this has cause me. I had to leave my job on several occasion and not knowing if any future damage has been done to my engine; such as internal engine problems with no oil lubrication. While driving over 150 plus miles without oil in my vehicle engine. I would like the full refund of $556.20. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to this problem and will wait until July 25, 2018 before seeking third-party assistance from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. You can contact me by phone at [protected] or email at [protected]@gmail.com.
In closing, I would like to reiterate that I am extremely disappointed of the service that I received. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the service that I received.
multiple service problems and an extremely rude manager named rob
I entrusted our vehicle to Griffin Brothers in Cornelieus NC. Veh was towed on 7/5/2018 as of 7/11/2018 truck is still sitting on lot. After several conversations and many excuses from a Manager named Rob our truck still sits untouched.. 7/11/2018 rob finally tell us he fired the only technician that could fix our truck and we need to find another place to take it. Rob refused to help us and lied to us several times between 7/5/2018 and 7/11/2018. This man need to be fired.
manager customer service/lying about taxes and services needed
I have a complaint about the pushy manager/supervisor of the Mavis in Nanuet NY. He said his name was John. I was inquiring about getting a tire and asked him to look up the history as well as when I last had an alignment. I bought 2 tires last year and a third the year before. i also had an alignment last May with the tire purchase.
This is my complaint...he tells me that an alignment is only good for 90 days and people should be getting them every time they change their oil. Does he think I'm a dumb female and he can just make things up.
He also gives me a price for the tire and proceeds to tell me the tire price and the taxes. Well besides the disposal tax of 2.50, he said there are two other taxes. ...LIE... He was adding the regular state tax and then he says there is a federal tax as well. He first said that the extra tax was a county tax and there isn't one. This guy is pushing/scaring people into thinking they need work and also charging what he calls a tax when they don't exist. I will not believe any work that store tells me I need.
I am still getting my tire done there, but I will only pay what your call center told me (which did not include this extra tax).
This is very poor business practice and he represents the way Mavis handles clients. Shameful
employee
My husband Rodney Cooper was an employee in Birmingham up until last week. My son his stepson was in ICU on a ventilator. He called corporate to use his vacation while we were by my sons side. He didn't receive his pay. He was cut 800 a month when mavis took over tire engineers. Then he was told he wasn't eligible for a pay increase or promotion due to my sons health. That is discrimination! Is this the way your company works? The social worker had filled out fmla papers like was legally necessary.
Very disappointed and confused.

flat tire repair.
Mavis Discount Tire
1.2 mi · 110 East Sunrise Hwy, NY
I came there to fix flat tire and they blame bended rim as a reason. They swap rim from spare tire and air was still leaking. They blamed second rim as bended. So they didn't fix problem but they charged me double. I went to Firestone and they found nail in tire. I came back to mavis for my money back but they laughed me.
struts and wheel alignment
Me and my girlfriend took our car to mavis in South amboy nj about a noise that car had and craig from mavis said its the struts and wheel alignment that is causing this noise. So I paid them they took the car and said they would fix it. Later that day the car had the same noise so we told them they said give it aleast 1 day. We took the car back explained to them we still hear the noise that you said you would take away. So thia time they said its our fluid and charged me $100 to install fluid.I paid them and nothing changed again. So again we take the car back and they give us every excuse in the book. Now this time the car makes a noise it never made until mavis started working on it. I took the car back again after hearing this new noise and once again job failed . I paid them $1200-$1300 and they made my car worse. I complained about it to a supervios that works for the forda nj office
tires
I called mike on tuesday, june 19 4pm at mavis on 570-338-6071 for a tire quote. he gave me a quote for 60, 000 mile tread tires called cooper spitfire. the out of door price was 385.52 (including tax) for installation of 4 cooper tires on my son Jonathan's 2012 ford focus 4 dr sedan (SEL).
I said i would call back to confirm an appt. for the mavis dealer in the area I was residing: brodheadsville mavis at 1949 route 209
brodheadsville, pa. I called mike back again on 914-984-2500 ext. 5703 at corporate
headquarters in westchester ny. Mike confirmed the second time they are 60k mile tread tires. I then called back to make an appt and spoke with another rep at 570-338-6071 to make an appt at the mavis dealer in brodheadsville, pa. For the third time the man confirmed the tire tread is 60k miles. the appt was made asap for the same day Tues, june 19. I arrived at the dealer @ 5:30pm and for the 4th time confirmed with the man at the desk that the tires I was purchasing were 60 thousand miles tread tires. He confirmed and said YES ( again this is the fourth time). The tires were installed for 385.52 + I added new valves for 15.96 + tx.
When I got to the place I was residing I checked the invoice and discovered I was given tires that had only a 40, 000 mile tread on them. the stock # of the tires is
A616105 215/55H R16 tires STFR RS-C 2.0 (by Cooper) R37.
I also looked on the sidewall of the tires and found the treadwear code as 400
AA. I Looked online and found that these tires were 40, 000 mile treads. The invoice #
758844 showed that I was charged 79.99 for each of these tires. The same tires tires can be purchased for 65.00 each online without the installation. But that is not the point. I was lied to each time 4x from corporate on down the line to the desk person at brodheadsville Mavis. Your company would be better well served by honest people. This to me indicates a company culture of deceit and lying all the way through. NO company can succeed with this kind of culture. I would like the 60, 000 mile tires I was promised for 385.52 out the door (including tax).
thank you,
robert buda ( I am the father of jonathan buda the purchaser of the tires. I am the one who spoke with each of the Mavis representatives and received the untrue information 4 times. I also set up the appt.)
I finally spoke to Doug Villanella, regional manager brodheadsville, pa mavis center.
He explained to me that he too heard the tape of my discussion with sale rep Mike @
mavis headquarter [protected] ext 5703 (millbrook, ny) and that he quoted me 60, 000
mile tread tires (4) for $385.52 out the door: but that there was a misunderstanding,
and that the tires given me are actually 40k tread with an automatic 20k extended
mileage warranty attached to it. Nothing like this was stated on the invoice #758844 ;
cust po# 3347087. In fact Mr. villanelle sent me an email copy of the invoice stating
the we declined the extended warranty on the 40k mile tread tires and that he would
offer the extended coverage for another 20, 000 miles at no charge. that still does not
address the issue that I was lied to all along and that it has not stopped.
There is a big difference between a promise of 60, 000 mile tread warranty and 60, 000
mile tread tires which I was quoted. In addition by declining the extended
warranty on the invoice this simply means we were still given 40k tread tires period
with no extended warranty and a false quote given me 4x.
robert buda
this is regional tire training manager's (doug villanelle) offer to extend out tire warranty on 40, 000 mile
tread tires:
The e-mail is to confirm that the tires purchased at the Brodheadsville Mavis for Mr. John Buda on WO# 38513 have a manufacturer's mileage warranty of 40, 000 miles. Mavis will extend the warranty an additional 20, 000 miles giving a total warranty of 60, 000 miles.
this is my reply to Mr Villanelle:
Mr. Doug Villanella, regional manager Brodheadsville Pa area (mavis tire center)
I am going back to square one regarding this problem.
#1 everybody including you confirm that I was quoted 60, 000 mile tread tires for 385.52 out the door.
#2 that is what I want - 60, 000 tread tires, not a warranty that covers 40, 000 tread tires for 60, 000 miles.
#3 I spoke with you a few minutes ago, but after receiving this email I rescind my decision to accept the extended warranty and this is why.
#4 the invoice states we received the cooper starfire tires with only 40, 000 mile treads and that we were
offered extended warranty coverage which my son John declined. This means again the desk person saying that the tires are 60, 000 tread is completely false and that by declining the extended warranty we only had 40, 000 coverage period not 60, 000 coverage.
#5 there is a big difference between a warranty and tread life. There is no ambiguity as to what was done here and what is continuing to be perpetrated here:
#6 an offer to extended a tire warranty on 40, 000 mile tires does not resolve this problem.
#7 there still is a big problem with all this and I feel you are not acknowledging it.
robert buda
sorry model name is not spitfire but starfire buy cooper
the following day: june 20 2018 around 11:30am I called mavis customer service number at [protected] and spoke with a rep who confirmed that they received my complaint from the previous day and that a regional manager from the brodheadsville mavis center will call me about the wrong tires given me. I then called back to see if I could call Doug the regional manager but they didn't have a number.
I want to be clear: the problem started at corporate headquarters at [protected] extension 5703, Mike's number. When I spoke with him He confirmed the treads at 60, 000 miles new out the door at $385.52 and everybody else just went along with it.
Everybody else I spoke with from then on just confirmed the tires were 60, 000 mile tread when they knew they were not.
I want the 60, 000 miles tires I was promised to clear up this matter.
thank you
robert buda ( my son john buda paid for the tires with his credit card).
I sent the following information to support1@mavistire.com:
To Whom It May Concern,
On Jun 19, 2018 at about 3pm I called [protected] and spoke with Mike @ corporate headquarters @ [protected] extension 5703 (millwood, ny). I asked for a price for 4 new tires for my son Jonathan's 2012 ford focus sedan sel model vehicle size of tires were: 215/55R16. He told me the Vee Rubber 40, 000 mile tread go for $321.00 out the door (4 new tires). He also gave me a price for the Cooper Spitfire tires and told me they were 60, 000 mile treads (4 new tires) for $385.52 out the door. I told him I would call him back.
I did a little research and could not find them online. The only ones I did find online were the starfire RS-C 2.0
(by cooper) which were 40, 000 mile treads. So I called Kotz tire center in Brodheadville, NY to see if they could match the price for cooper 60, 000 tread tires and they could not. I then called the [protected] number again and spoke with another rep to confirm the quote I got. He asked me for a phone number and I said I didn't give one to Mike (the first rep I spoke with). He said if I was quoted 385.52 for 4 cooper spitfires for 60, 000 mile tread then that was right- whatever I was quoted. I then made an appt. to go to Brodheadsville mavis center in PA. I asked for Mike's number and he gave me his direct line @ [protected] extension 5703. I called and spoke with Mike to verify that the cooper spitfires were 60, 000 mile tread and he said they were 50, 000 - 60, 000 miles treads. I then went into the mavis with my son Jonathan and the first thing I asked the desk person was to confirm the tires to be installed were cooper spitfires with 60, 000 mile treads.
He looked in his computer and said yes they were 60, 000 treads. They proceeded to install the tires but I had a funny feeling that something wasn't right.
I made sure during the entire process of repeatedly asking everybody I spoke with that these tires were 60, 000 miles and 3x they said yes and 1x I was told 50-60k tread. My son had 4 new valves installed for an extra $15.96 + tx. The total invoice #758844 came to 402.44. Me and my son left thinking we got a great deal. The fellow that gave us the invoice even said he got these for his son and they were great tires. When I got to the place we were staying I looked on the sidewall tires and saw they were 400AA treads and saw that the tires were the 40, 000 mile tread Starfire RS-C 2.0 that I had looked up earlier in the day.
I felt I was bamboozled by your entire sales team and I feel bad for your company that you have a corporate culture that allows this dishonesty. This was not a mistake since I tried at every turn to confirm the tires were 60k mile treads and every time the answer was they were. It started with Mike in Westchester and ended with the mavis desk serviceman in Brodheadsvill, Pa. What a rip off.
I filed a complaint with the consumer complaint board yesterday and my phone number is [protected].
I called customer service today june 20, 2018 and was told Doug the regional manager for the Brodheadsville location would call me and the rep confirmed they have a copy of my complaint.
I would like the tires I was promised : 60k mile treads; 4 new tires; $385.52 out the door.
Your company deserves better than how these people have represented you. I always thought Mavis had a good reputation.
Sincerely,
Robert Buda
back hubs and wheel bearings to on my ford explorer
I just moved to Whiting NJ in October 2017. My truck needed brakes and new tires in November 2017. One week later they said my hubs and bearings on the back wheels were gone. Then just three weeks ago I took my vehicle back because the back bearing went. I left my vehicle again at your location in Whiting and they called me and now said my rear end on the vehicle was no good. I decided to take it to another mechanic and he took off the wheel and found a old damaged bearing and fixed it and now my truck is fine. As a senior citizen I don't appreciate your mechanic and the manager trying to deceive me and make me spend money I don't have. I gave the location the bill and informed him I expect a check in two week. If I don't recive it by next week I will do to the media and my attorney to take further action on your company.I was also informed by one of your managers used parts were put on my vehicle instead of new parts that I paid for. My name and address is MicheleMcGrath 30 S. Chestnut Avenue Whiting New Jersey 08759.
service/damage done on my 2013 honda accord ex in june 2017 - still not reimbursed
I called the customer service line last Thursday, 6/7/18 because I am at the end of my rope with this issue. Brief description/update: Back in June 2017 I had my car serviced at the Mavis on West County Line Road in Jackson, NJ, where they performed a trans flush (amongst other services) on my 2013 Honda Accord Ex, but did not check the manual of my car to confirm that specific fluid MUST go in the car, as it had a CVT transmission. They insisted it was CVT compatible fluid, as per their Castrol rep; however, the trans went and I took it to Honda for diagnosis. Before I was able to explain to Honda what had happened, they reported that..."whoever did the flush put the wrong fluid in." According to my car's owner's manual (I have a copy of the page), it specifically states the correct fluid to be put in the car and if not, explains what problems WILL arise. The correct fluid is also yellow vs red; the Castrol fluid put in by Mavis was red and after speaking to the Castrol rep, they stated that "similar ingredients are used to make their CVT trans fluid, comparable to most others, it does not necessarily mean that it IS compatible, the mechanic should have also referred to the owner's manual." Since this issue happened at Mavis, our Honda warranty was now null and void at this point, so after being quoted for over $6000 by Honda (because the damage done by Mavis was more than just a flush, the entire trans had to be rebuilt), I called around for other options and prices. Several other shops said the same thing (Meineke, American Transmission, etc.) and I went with the best option (American Transmission). They rebuilt the entire transmission for a little over $4000. That, coupled with the charge from Honda to diagnose the vehicle, totaled approximately $4140. I have copies of receipts, copies of lawsuits with the same issue, copies of emails between Mavis and myself, copies of the data sheet from Castrol for the fluid used in the car, etc.
After we had the transmission rebuilt by American Transmission in Lakewood, NJ, they gave me all of the parts and a sample of the fluid should I need to take everything to court. I was attempting to do this outside of court since this was such a small amount to Mavis. I was first in contact last summer with Carrissa Hanson (Regional Manager), who was not very receptive to my complaint, as I continued to settle this matter out of court. Ms. Hanson insisted it was Honda's responsibility, which was why I took it to Honda for a full diagnosis (I have the paperwork specifically stating the issues as proof) to have documentation that Mavis was responsible for the work performed on my vehicle.in August 2017, Ms. Hanson contacted me via telephone to obtain my mailing address, which I verbally gave to her AND emailed her, because she said that her supervisor approved the reimbursement (based on my receipts from Honda and American Transmission) for my vehicle. She said that is would take 2 weeks to process and then it would be mailed out to me. Five to six weeks went by, but I never receipt a check in the mail. I attempted to contact Ms. Hanson via email and phone several times (left messages as well), but she never returned my calls or emails. September/October 2017: I attempted to contact that corporate office in NY, but know one knew what I was talking about. I was finally able to get someone on the phone that seemed willing to help, Mr. Joseph Sarnicola (I believe he is (or was) the VP of Purchasing he said), he had me forward all emails and attachments from Ms. Hanson and myself to bring him up to speed to see if he could expedite the process or at least figure out who I should be contacting at that point. Mr. Sarnicola and myself had gone back and forth for a few months for the remainder of 2017, when he eventually informed me that they were attempting to address Castrol for this issue (which SHOULD be something between Mavis and Castrol, not between myself and Castrol, as the service was PERFORMED by Mavis). At this point, I had been pay off (and paying interest) on the re-built transmission in my car for 6+ months, but still was only asking for the cost of the trans re-build and Honda diagnostic service of approximately $4140.
I had consulted my attorney who assured me I was going through the necessary steps to resolve this issue properly and was and is ready to take legal action. Mr. Sarnicola finally informed me that most of the staff at the Mavis in Jackson, NJ to not work there anymore, so not many people know about my issue, but he thought it may have been sent up the ranks to upper corporate - he said he would contact me with an update when he had one. Time passed and I attempted to contact him via phone and email in February 2018 (several times) with no response. I have done so often for the last few months, and nothing. I attempted again recently, left Mr. Sarnicola a message AND emailed him (copying Ms. Hanson (Mavis email and her personal email - Mavis email failed, so I am assuming she no longer works for Mavis), and STILL nothing.
Other that being out of a car for a chunk of time last June 2017 (causing me to miss days of work), post-Honda diagnosis and post-trans rebuild with American Transmission out of Lakewood, NJ, I had to pay for a rental car myself for over 2 weeks, PLUS cost of Honda diagnostic testing, PLUS the cost of the trans rebuild, PLUS interest for 12 months on my credit card at this point (June 2017-June 2018)... that is WELL OVER just the cost of the Honda diagnostic test and Trans re-build that I was requesting reimbursement in the first place. And on top of ALL OF THAT, several mechanics had explained to me that once you re-build a transmission you shorten the life of the vehicle and other things could be affected. I had to trade in my 2013 Honda Accord Ex recently that was damaged by Mavis, did not get much for it to get a older civic to get me from point A to point B, yet I am STILL paying off the loan from the Accord. How is any of that fair? Over $10, 000 loan still left on the Accord after trade-in, all because of negligence on Mavis's part.
I called customer service last week (as I did last year) to file another complaint (because no one will contact me back) and was told I would be contacted, but have heard nothing yet. I would like at least contact information (phone and email) so that I may forward all documentation (emails, etc.) up until this point in order to bring whomever up to speed. I would like to resolve this fairly quickly at this point with Mavis, as I technically should be compensated for a lot more, which I am sure you can agree, than what I was asking for in the first place last year.
bordentown, nj store
My wife made an appointment to have a new tire put on her car. When she arrived they told her that there would be a 2 hour wait. As she had to go to work she left. This happened to me twice before when I made an appointment for an oil change and was told I could wait. When I arrived I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait. The front desk people seem to be totally incompetent. The appointment was scheduled for 5/31 at 2 pm. They had no idea she was coming. We always used STS before it was purchased. We will not be returning, and will discourage friends from going there also.
payment with mavis card
Hi I purchased tire on Thursday May 24th 2018 at the Jamison Mavis I applied for the card and was approved for $500 the associate told me to wait till I got the card to see if I would get credit for the entire bill so I paid the bill with my credit card ($699.27). I received the card on Saturday so I went to the store on Tuesday and the guy told me that the guy who could help me would be in on Wednesday. When I went today he told me that I could not transfer the $500 to the bill and take off the $500 from my credit card. I wanted to take advantage of the 0 % for 6 months. I find it hard to believe that you can't credit my card and put the $500 on the Mavis card. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
new tire
We seen a mavis ad which seemed pretty good so then looked online & found a mavis calculator which I thought would make thing easy & quick. We wanted to purchase 1 goodyear assurance comfortred touring tire.
Used mavis online calculator & if you look at image total tire cost: $117.98
Cart total: $117.98
(before taxes)
Called shop in hicksville & rep states there is another page & it was going to be more like 150.00. This was such a waste of time & when got home called main office & got a stephanie & ryan & they promised they would make it right. Bottom line I spoke to stephanie & spoke to ryan & after waiting on both individually they each hung up.
Will never even think of shopping there.

brake work not needed.
On March 26, I brought my 2002 Honda Odyssey in to have my front brakes checked. They told me the pads and rotors had to be replaced and that I needed new tires. I don't know if the rotors actually needed to be replaced but I went with it. The tires did need to be replaced. They also did an alignment. The vehicle was pulling to the right. After the job, the pulling was fixed but when I started driving on the highway, I noticed I was getting steering wheel vibration. I brought it back a couple weeks later and they rebalanced the tires. It did help with the vibration when driving at high speed but when I braked, I would still get heavy vibrations. I finally got back there a few weeks later. They told me it was caused by a bad rear wheel caliper. The next thing I knew they turned it into $473 job replacing not only the caliper but also both rotors and brake linings. I had replaced those linings just a year ago. I went along with it because it was very difficult to drive as it was. They had to keep the Odyssey overnight because they couldn't get the caliper. After I left I took it out on the highway and found that the brake problem I brought it in for had not been fixed at all. I brought it back again the next day and after checking it out, they decided to replace the front rotors that were replaced back in March Since they were obviously defective. When I asked about the $473 job that didn't fix the problem they gave some story how the rear caliper had something to do with the problem. It seemed pretty clear that that job was not necessary. The first job was over $1000. So I wound up spending about $1500. This vibration problem didn't exit until they started working on my vehicle.
call NY State Dept of Motor Vehicles at [protected]

wait time to have tire checked
I have been part of the Mavis family for 11yrs +. The past 2 recent visits within the last 3 years was not a good experience. I made an appointment online and ordered 4 tires. Waiting in the store for 2.5 hours to them be told that they only have 3 tires and they couldn't do the job today because it was close to closing time. That was the store in Newburgh NY 12550.
5/19/2018 12:22pm...Then just this weekend the store in Vails Gate NY I waited for 2 hours for some to just an air leak. Then the tech does NOT EVEN change the tire pressure. The person that pulled my car into the bay, then left the car there and was too busy smoking a cigarette on the on his cellphone. When I asked why such a long wait the person "manager" David Friedman gave silly smirks. Then when the car done he says "oh I just called you and I spoke with your husband" I proceeded to tell him the number he called was a very old home phone and to please change in the system. Every time I spoke with David he acted like I was the hostile person. I don't appreciate his smirks or unacceptable facial expression. I don't I will be going to back to Mavis because of the unprofessional staff there. Very disappointed customer !
Ridiculous wait times.
tire
I bought 4 tire from your STS Hamburg turnpike, Wayne branch about a week ago, and I have to return twice in one week for popped up tires.
This is insane these people charge me both time for each tire. I never ever had popped up tire issue with my car after driving 45k+ miles.
Finally I figured out that they put wrong size tire in my car. They put me in danger, just because of their immature work, I've lost my money, my time and got heavy anxiety .
If they solve my issue I'm gonna take them in to court.
customer service at ithaca, ny store
I am sitting in Ithaca Store for second time this week. I ordered 4 tires, was told they would be in on Wednesday and installed by end of day. I received no advance call to say they were not in. It is now Saturday and I am again sitting in waiting area. Showed up 15 minutes early for appt, and it is now more than an hour later and my car has not moved. I was told after Wednesday debacle that I would get in and out. Worst customer service I have ever experienced ever.
mavis tire center, spencerport rd, rochester new york
In the last year I have had 3 unsatisfactory appointments with Mavis.
1) Minor issue - Last June I was quoted over the phone and an appointment was made to purchase 4 tires for my Mazda 3 and have them installed. When I got there they had no record of the appointment. They did honor the price I was quoted. I had to wait 2 hours to get them installed not (not good).
2) In February or March of this year I again ordered 4 tires for my wife's 2017 Chevy Traverse. The day before the appointment I called to verify
the appointment and quote. On the appointment day everything started well. The car went on the lift right away. 45 minutes later nothing was happening. I went to the front desk and was told they were short 1 tire! They had to go pick one up. Total time I was at the store was 2.5 hours! I was furious.
3) Yesterday 5/10 I had just had taken my daughters snow tires off her 2009 Honda Civic. I put her summer tires on and notices 1 tire had a bubble on it. (all tires had their own rims). Since my daughter was not available and was going out of town in the near future I wanted to get a replacement tire which I had. I stopped in (9:30 AM) with 1 snow tire on its rim and asked if they could remove the rim and put it on my spare. They told me no problem and would call me within an hour. At 12:30 I got a call saying I gave them the wrong size tire. (This was my mistake I grabbed the wrong one from my garage which I am 10 minutes away and could have delivered it immediately if they called me) Now for the issue. They told me when they tried to get the tire of the rim the tire split. I was offered at discounted tire but at this point I wanted nothing to do with this store. I am now out 100 dollar snow tire and more time wasted.
I would appreciate some help in this matter.

shocks
I have taken 2 vehicles to Mavis to for shocks. Both vehicles had questionable caliber trouble on the front passenger side after getting the shocks. I called with questions about the service. Corporate said, "Breaks were recommended at time of service." It is a dangerous trick! After service in August, the vehicle lost breaks and injured another driver. I didn't realize what was going on until I fixed the damage to the vehicle.
