Menards Fence posts

I purchased 7ft posts but was given 6ft posts by the yard attendant which was not discovered until the installation crew showed up so we had no choice but to make them work. When I called to report he issue, I was assured that I would be given a price adjustment if I came into the store (over an hour away!) with the receipt and post tags as proof. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the store the following week, I was told that I would not get an adjustment until I filled out a FORM and sent it in so wasted trip! Even worse, when I sent in the requisite proof (including pictures of the too short posts after installation) I was essentially told to go away by 'guest services'.

Desired outcome: I simply wanted the $45 price adjustment I'm owed!

Would it surprise anyone to know that Menards has not bothered to contact us regarding this complaint, not even to tell us to go away again! What is the point of this site if there is no actual review and follow up?

Menards Model P0081800 was ordered on my credit card ending in 8051. I did not order nor did I pick up. I went to the Fairfield Ohio store

Order [protected] Ordered 12/22/2022 and the store told me the generator was shipped.

The original order says it was to be picked up at the store.

I would like to know where it shipped to and who signed for it.

Menards Rebate program

I mailed a rebate form and store receipt on July 24, 2022. I have yet to receive my rebate of $11.99 as shown on the receipt. The UPC rebate receipt # is 1918000119908497344762336900.

My purchase was made at the Menards store in Fairborn, Ohio on 7/22/22 at 12:11 p.m.

If it will help with store information, the numbers at the bottom of the rebate receipt are [protected] and 3369.

Desired outcome: Please send rebate as was offered at the time of my purchase.

Menards Pet supplies

Last weekend I was in the Menards' in Manchester, MO (63011) and I went to purchase some dog treats (minities) because they were on an end cap display with a sale price of $9.99 (normally $15.99). They rang up for $6 more than the price shown, so I told the cashier. She called the manager over and he did a price check and said I was wrong. I then went back to the display and took a picture. He still would not honor the price. I would like to send you a picture to show you the display. Apparently the numbers in small print didn't match up (something the average customer would have no idea of). I then went back to check the numbers and there was nothing with the correct number under the display. False advertising (!) yet I would have walked away a satisfied customer if the mgr. would just honor the price. He would not budge. I spent at least 15 minutes of my time trying to understand with him and the cashier (she was very nice!) what was the issue and walking back and forth to the display. I also told him that he needed to change the display because EVERY customer with the item would have the same issues. It seemed like my point went in one ear and out the other, despite being very nice about the whole issue.

Desired outcome: coupons or honor the price difference and respect my time for doing the legwork the Menard's employees should have been doing.

Menards VSN01141l barnwood oak luxury vinyil plank flooring stair nose color barnwood plank

On October 30, 2023 we placed a special order for stair nose hoping to finish project before Christmas. Got an email saying items were delivered on November 10th 2023. We never received item, after numerous phone calls on our part and visiting the Morris Menards where order was placed we were finally told our ordered was delivered to wrong address. Okay things happen so we asked can we get a new order sent to us, it was explained to us, it was not their error so they can't replace missing items but yet they took the payment. Also explained we could reorder item and repay again. Now I understand errors happen but we ordered the items through Morris Menards now for us to not receive reimbursement nor replacement of object seems like horrible business ethics. We have spent a lot of money with this company and did plan to do more as we are in the process of fixing up our home. Do to this unappreciated customer service we will of course finish paying our credit card bill we have for Menards but will not be doing any further business with the Menards industry not do to error but bad treatment to correct error and we are still waiting as of January 24, 2023 for our special order.

Desired outcome: replacement of item for that was a special order to finish our flooring and this is also second time we sent email to corporate and still not receiving our items.

Menards Rebate program

This is the second time I have sent in Menards rebates following their exact procedure to do so and have received nothing. On November 20, 2022 sent in 7 rebate forms with receipts as directed on rebate form with the total amount of rebates equaling $276.52. Today on 1/25/2023 after waiting over ten weeks went to their site to track the rebates using my name and address and it says none found. I have all the recipes and copies on the rebate receipts and forms with tracking numbers. No rebates ever received again after waiting over the 6-8 weeks period it states on the rebate form.

Desired outcome: I want the rebates Menards promises especially after taking such care to fill everything out and send in correctly. I also went to all the lengths to keep copies of everything for my own records. Rebates I am entitled to equaling $276.52

Their rebate program is a scam. I followed all instructions perfectly and expected rebates totally over $300. Nothing ever came. Their their "tracking system" showed they were mailed. Were they? One theory I heard is that apparently they mail these out and postal workers "steal them" out of the mailboxes...anyone can cash them in. Of course that rumor was probably started by Menards! Perhaps Meanard's doesn't really mail them all out...especially the larger ones. We have no way of really knowing but isn't it ironic that they have so many no-show rebates? All of us fell for the campaign and made good faith efforts. I would fire their head of marketing if this truly is a program that was simply designed poorly, resulting in bad PR and LESS sales vs the intended revenue building Menards was targeting.

It is also frustrating that there is nobody that will help you and no recourse whatsoever. What a waste of time. I have another big remodeling job which I will be giving to Home Depot. I stand by this review 100% and invite anyone to contact me for further detail. I am thinking this smells like a class action suit. Jackie Fera - jlfera@att.net

Menards Paid for countertop not received

I placed an order for a $11,000 kitchen and countertops on 11/1/2022 with Tessa at Athens, Ohio Store. My contractor got the cabinets in and I was able to go to the store on 12/10/22 to update the countertop template (I removed a sink cut out and the dimensions stayed the same). I then found out that she did not add the countertop for the island to the order (we designed it that night with the L countertop for my kitchen so I'm not sure how it didn't get added). Tessa was working again this night she made the changes and said the order was submitted. She didn't print anything off and didn't give me a new order number.

12/15/2022 I realized that I had received 4 of the wrong size base cabinet doors (4784489) and tried to take them back to replace them with the correct size and was told only 2 were on my order so they could only refund two. I took the other 2 doors home. Not once did either of the 2 mangers nor the girl working the service desk tell me I had to leave them and let us leave with them. I then received a text message from the security guard Chris on 12/21/22 stating that if I did not bring the 2 doors back he would be pressing theft charges on me. Mind you staff loaded the 3 pallets of cabinets I picked up and had them shrink wrapped. I picked them up on three separate occasions because my truck was not big enough to haul them all. All 3 times the pallets were brought outside to my truck with a loader and I was left to write down SKU numbers and load it all myself. I then gave the workers my list of SKU numbers and they marked stuff off. When it was all said and done there were several items they had not been marked off that still showed I needed to pick up and apparently after trying to return the doors was 2 extra of the wrong door. Had they actually used my list of SKU numbers when they marked what I picked up this should have been caught then.

on 12/23/22 I went to the store because there were 2 of my 24"drawer fronts not in my order I picked up. The girl at the service desk called the head manager as soon as I got there and I explained to him what was going on. He told me until I pay for the 2 cabinet doors I took he couldn't do anything with my order so I paid for the two doors. He then looked up the order and there were 2 drawer fronts over inventory and gave me the 2 fronts I was missing.

on 12/29/22 I called the Athens store and spoke to Don in cabinets to check on the status of the countertop because it had been 19 days since submitting the order. He couldn't find the new order where Tessa resubmitted taking the sink cut out out of the plan. He said he would call me back. He called back a few hours later and stated that he found it and it was at the manufacturer but because of holidays and the cold weather we had the manufacturer had to shut down a few days and they were behind on orders. He then told me to call on Tuesday 1/2/23 to check status again. I called on 1/6/23 and was told by Anna the cabinet manager that she could see where the design was created but it was never ordered. I told her about the conversation with Don on 12/29 and she said she is sorry but its not ordered. I told her I wanted a refund and to cancel my island countertop order and wanted a refund also. Could someone help fix this.

I went to the Athens store on 12/31 to fix the template measurements for my island. Don was designing a kitchen with another customer and Tessa and a dark haired girl she was training looked up and saw me and Tessa walked around the corner away from the desk. My mother then started videoing the aisles because Tessa and the girl that was training with her kept going up and down aisles and looking at me to see if I was still there. I stood and waited almost 40 minutes for Don to get down and help me while Tessa and the other girl paced the aisles looking at me. Don again said he should have an update come Tuesday 1/2/23 about the other countertop and fixed the island countertop for me. He walked me up front with order changed form and I paid the difference.

1/7/23 my sister went to Menard's and ordered a countertop for herself and don was working so she gave him my order papers and asked him to check the status for me and he couldn't find it either. He told my sister"I know it was there and placed because I done it myself". He then admitted he submitted it on 12/29/22 because Tessa had not on 12/10/22. He redesigned the countertop and reordered it for me and instructed my sister to have me take the new order and receipts to the service desk to get my refund for the difference. I worked yesterday and was not able to go. I checked my status of the countertop order today and now it shows it was cancelled this morning 1/9/2023 at 840. I called the store and spoke to Larry in cabinets and he said he was the assistant manager and he can not tell me who cancelled it or why. He would email the manufacturer and see what was going on. I need this fixed ASAP please.

Desired outcome: to get my countertop I ordered and an appology

Menards 11% rebate scam

as you already know. Your rebate program is a scam!

Millions of people do NOT fill out and send in for your rebates!

When you return an item to Menards 11% is automatically deducted from your refund! How much does Menards make off this scam a year? I'm guessing millions. I'm going to send this complaint to the FBI fraud division.

BUYER BEWARE

Don't buy anything from Menards that you might have to return!

Menards Debate from my $1600. Generator purchase

In September 1,2022 I purchased a generator from Menards at $1600. with a rebate of $140. Which I have never received. First, they said they could not find a file for me. I sent them copies and they said they had it and had updated the files and it would take up to nine weeks to receive the rebate. I checked back on their web site and it said a check had been mailed) October 28, 2022.

I have never received a check and I don't believe they mailed a check, easy for them to say. When I sent them an email in this regard, they said my email would be checked out in the order they received it. Since then, they have ignored me. Technology today would allow them to inquire where the check had been cashed if the wrong person received and cashed it. I have never received a check. I cannot stand up against a large company like Menards.

Desired outcome: Receive my $160. rebate and be able to start a class action suit. I believe they practice check is in the mail routine with many customers. I believe the owe me interest.

Menards Return on wood burner that doesn’t do as advertised.

My husband and I purchased a wood burner online from the New Philadelphia Menards on October 8th for $2,455.24. We looked at one in the store first since this was such a large important purchase. The wood burner did not come in for pick up until mid November. My husband and I picked it up from the store, got it home, then installed it just to learn it would not heat our home or even our basement where it was placed which is about 800 sq ft. It was not any where close to heating 2500 sq ft as advertised. We wanted to return it. We went 1/1/23 to learn it was a 25% restocking fee to return this item after it was unloaded from our truck. That was $575 of our return for an item that doesn't work. When I ordered this online it also did not say special order item. The only place we saw this was on the printed receipt that I printed just to return the item because the local store used that excuse too for the 25% restocking fee. Normally when I purchase something online after the confirmation of the order I don't jump on to print the receipt unless I need to. There was no need and this verbiage was not within my order after adding the wood burner to my cart stating this is a special order item be aware. To say my husband and I are upset is an understatement. The store called this a special order item because they don't carry in stores although my husband and I saw one up there and looked at it. The lady helping us on 1/1/23 said that was a display model only. How do you place a display model of something in your store then say it's a special order item when it's sitting in your store for people to look at and purchase from you. I have attempted to work with the manager Matthew Berman the day I returned it and via email the next day but he only emailed me back once to say he would not wave the restocking fee then when I explained further why they should refund our restocking fee he never emailed back after that. I then tried the Menards complaint line at corporate and the phone just rings and rings. I tried them on 1/1/23 and again 1/6/23 at [protected] which is the number advertised online. I waited a few days because I also made my complaint to the local Menards via online refund department and was waiting on a response back from them. However, here we are 5 days from the return and no resolution. I think it is unfair that we had to pay a 25% restocking fee for an item that did not function as it’s supposed to. My mother in law even called prior to us returning this large heavy item and was told we could return it even though we had installed it and would get a full refund. She said they told her three times it would be a full refund even though it had wood burned in it. The local store offered a replacement wood burner only but why would we want another one when the first one didn’t work! This is not a light item that was returned, it truly did not do as it was supposed to or we wouldn’t have taken it back to the store. We even had it on a pallet for an easy return when we got to the store. Please help!

Desired outcome: My husband and I want a refund of the restocking fee back which is $575.

Menards Amana Washer

My washer has been broken for two weeks now. I reached out to the protection plan and have received nothing but the run around. I've called 3 service companies that they dispatched the repair call to and all have stated that they don't service in my area! This will be the 6th time that I've had to call. I will be going out tonight to purchase a new washer but it won't be from Menards. I have laundry that must get done. Don't buy appliances from Menards.

Menards Returns

I bought an expensive Christmas gift for someone at menards. Big mistake. Do not shop here, especially for gifts. Turns out the person liked the gift, but it wasn’t the name brand he wanted to match his other tools so he tried to exchange it. Menards does not carry that other name brand, so he asked to return it. He was told it can only go back to the original credit card. So he came to me looking for the cash. How awkward is that to have to go back to someone who bought a gift for you and say “hey I returned this, can I please have the money?” As if that wasn’t bad enough, I told him I never got a credit and I don’t have the cash right now to give him. Even if I do get a credit, how am I supposed to get a credit off a credit card and give it to him? When I complained to customer service, I got no personal response, all they did was forward me their return policy. How is that helpful? And where is my credit? According to this policy it can take a week to get a credit? They took the money in 30 seconds. How does it take a week to give it back? And it doesn’t explain why they can’t give cash back for gift. I did include a receipt with the gift so it was clearly long since paid for. Menards is terrible and getting worse all the time.

Desired outcome: Give cash back for gifts!! And maybe process your credits faster so I don’t have to spend a week looking. Lastly, stop paying “customer service” people money to forward me a policy. Whatever you’re paying Sarah S. is way too much.

Menards restocking fee

i purchased a vanity top from your on line service ,i purchased item on 12-17-2022 when i received the vanity it was not the same color as listed on the listing. The vanity was darker than it showed on line. i returned the vanity 2 days after i picked up the vanity at your Jefferson st .Joliet il store .the vanity was never opened ,they had like a little widow you could see the color before you opened it.the vanity was still intact was not opened when i returned item.on the day i returned they told me i would be charged a restocking fee of 25% ,which i thought was ridiculous. I should not have been charged a restocking fee because of the listing was not correct. the vanity was $240.00 so you kept $55.00 of my money for your on line listing was wrong .i would like my $55.BACK

Menards My rebate that has been lied about. No mail is that late

The check is in the mail is a very ridiculous answer to give to customers and very dishonest and childish. I have been waiting for a rebate that you claim was mailed in October which seems to be a right out lie. I believe Menards deserves to have a class action suit filed against them, if you are doing it to me, you are doing it to many customers. You have never mailed me a rebate for $140. and change it is simply the old trick check is in the mail. I know I will have to take the time to get an attorney which I will do because for you people it is necessary, I will certainly want attorney fees and much, much more than $140.

A class action suit should serve all customers. Mernards believes they are so big they cannot be stopped, how untrue. BBB needs to know about your trickery and all media should know. when I checked on line you claim a check was mailed in October I purchase a geneator in Livonia at$1600. I am handclapped and a senior on a fixed income Winifred Coleman [protected]@yahoo.com

Menards In store credit vs. credit card refund

On 4/9/2022, I purchased closet doors from Menards at a total cost of $1,978.75 – this was a special order # [protected]. The requested delivery date was 4/30/2022. The doors were finally delivered on June 3rd – SIX WEEKS LATE! Unfortunately, the doors did not fit due to size. With that, on 7/10/2022 (a mere TWO DAYS past the date where a refund would be offered vs. a store credit) we went to the local Menards in St. Ann, MO (suburb of St. Louis) with the intent of returning them.

Unfortunately, we were told that a store credit was our only option. We did speak the Gen. Mgr. and asked if as a courtesy, he could provide a credit card refund vs. a store credit. Unfortunately he said there was no way he could override the system. Of course, we were very disappointed with that decision.

I’ve been unsuccessful trying to convince Menards (via numerous emails to Ray and Brenda Garrett with Guest Services) that they own the problem why the doors were delivered late. My request is very simple, convert my ‘in store credit’ in to a refund on my credit card. I keep getting the same answer, “Our return policy states that a merchandise credit check will be issued for allowable returns done more than 90 days after the date of purchase.

I have receipts and copies of all the pertinent documents (original receipt, pick ticket, merchandise return receipt, etc.

If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

Desired outcome: My request is very simple, convert my ‘in store credit’ in to a refund on my credit card.

Menards rebate

we recieved a rebate check to use at menards.on 12/01/22 we used it at menards in hanover park,il. menards rebate #[protected].our reciept says we have a balance of $14.83.my wife lost the rebate card.went to the store & tried to use the remaing $14.83 and they said we could not use is with out the card.i have a CERTIFICATE- BARCODED ******0367. i dont think is right we cant get the balance we our receipt says we have a balance of$14.83.i would appreciate any help you can give us. Menards Restrooms

this is in regards to the lack of any concern for those that use the restrooms particularly in the Aberdeen , South Dakota Menards . they are outdated with all but one toilet , they are so low to the floor its hard for people with bad knees, backs or hips to sit down on them and then get back up , there are NO grab bars in in the stalls with the exception of one stall . i would think that these things could be updated and improved upon for Customers and their Safety .

Menards Generac power washer

I bought a power washer from Menards on 9/19/2022 and I took it home and used it twice then it started leaking out of the pump. My daughter took it back to menard's 12 days later and they would not exchange it because I had put gas in it. I had drained all of the gas out of it and there was none in it when she took it back. Their policy does say that they will not take anything that has had gas in it but since I only had it for 12 days and I paid 543.79 for it I thought they would at least exchange it for me. They would not talk about it. They gave us a list of places to take to see if it would be fixed and most of the places are out of town as far away as Michigan and I am 84 years old and I am not able to drive that far. My daughter tried to take it while she was here in town but nobody was open. When I tried to take it to the different places in town they wouldn't touch it because they said they couldn't get reimbursed from the warranty company that Generac uses. One of the places wanted 37.50 just to look at it and I didn't feel that it was my responsibility to pay that since I had only had the power washer for 12 days. I called Menard's and they refused to pay for it. I have also called my credit card company and I am disputing this charge. I am on a fixed income and I can't afford to pay 543.79 for something that I can't use and then pay more money to have it fixed after only using it twice. I feel that Menards could have at least exchanged it for me. I am very disappointed that their warranty company doesn't pay to have things fixed and that they will not work with their customers. I shop there all the time because we don't have very many options here in Poplar Bluff to shop. I was hoping that this could be resolved without getting the BBB involved.

Desired outcome: I would like to have a working power washer.
