On July 4, 2023, A number of employees, the pickers, Packers and city counter along with maintenance, worked at O’reilly’s, 200 Duke Dr., Lebanon, Tennessee.
No security was asked to work.
Maintenance, unplugged the metal detector in the front of the building.
So anyone could’ve stolen anything in the warehouse or brought a gun inside, due to this negligence security breach!
No communication was given for the security guards the next day to know that the metal detector on one side which would be the one going out had been unplugged.
So for several hours, the security worker did not know the metal detector did not have power to it.
Maintenance supervisor knows of what happened and sees nothing wrong with it..
everyone in the plant is talking about the lack of concern for security on that particular day.
Is this type of security breach allowed? Why was communication not given and why was a security guard NOT, asked to work July 4, 2023?
There have been issues in the maintenance department of the treatment of the females. All of the females in that department or talk down too, discriminated against, as far as making fun of one of the cleaning workers clothes.
Is this tolerated at O’Reillys or does corporate not have any idea of what’s going on in DC 37, O’Reillys warehouse.
It is not lawful to compromise a security system, as discussed above.
Desired outcome: Discussion and company policy would be able to answer that of why maintenance would unplug a security checkpoint and put everyone that work July 4, 2023 in danger and also open the door to thieves go on in and out.

Read full review of O'Reilly Auto PartsParts sold as compatible for my truck were not at all compatible as described by Ford.
I bought ignition coils and O2 sensors and put them on my truck from the Weatherford, Tx. store. After installing these items the truck would barely run. The parts were listed as compatible for my truck. I took the truck to Jack Powell Ford. I have attached the service report findings and the cost. Derrick at the Weatherford store knows the story of this incident. He did refund the cost of the parts. I am looking to recover the labor cost of Ford of $750.00 it cost me to solve this problem. My phone number to find notes on this matter at the Weatherford store is [protected]. My name is Ken Scott. You can reach me at [protected]@yahoo.com or the above listed phone number.
Desired outcome: Refund of $750.00 labor costs from Jack Powell Ford to correct the problem of wrong parts purchased and were listed as recommended for my truck from Oreilly auto parts.
Oil container disposal
Joshua of O’Reilly in maple grove was very rude to me. There is a trash can outside the store with NO SIGN indicating what car care product can or cannot be thrown in there. He argues with me about me being able to infer that the reason for handing me back the container is to dispose of it elsewhere whilst NOT telling me that the trash can out from us not for care care trash.
Desired outcome: Remove trash cans or place a sign indicating what products can or cannot be thrown away there.
Battery
I am extremely dissatisfied with O'Reilly's in Wichita Falls after having been given a faulty battery that did not last even a year. They want to go off the original battery warranty, when this battery should have its own warranty and should last longer than it has. They even tested the battery and told me it was bad. Why would you not stand by your products? It is not my fault the battery didn't hold up. It's under account for [protected]
Desired outcome: Replace the battery
Inferior unusable purchased brake parts for my jeep
I recently purchased a brake booster and brake master cylinder for my Jeep Liberty in Atlanta, Texas. Unfortunately, the new booster I received was faulty and had to be replaced twice. Additionally, the master cylinder was also defective, and I will be picking up a replacement in the morning. The staff at Oreilly's have been as helpful as they can be, and I understand that it is not their fault. However, as someone who has relied on Oreilly's as my trusted parts supplier for many years, I am now questioning their reliability due to these recent failures.
While waiting at a tire shop this afternoon, I heard similar stories from others regarding Oreilly's parts. Since many of these parts are remanufactured, it is not difficult to see that there may be a quality issue at play. So far, I have not had issues with getting parts warranted, but the process has been an excessive hassle and has incurred significant costs in terms of labor hours and vehicle downtime.
I work in a position of authority in an industry where our frontline workers are not highly paid and are more likely to drive older vehicles that require regular maintenance. For them, this type of situation can have a significant impact on their ability to maintain employment and pay their bills if they are unable to get to work. I firmly believe that Oreilly's has the resources to prioritize better quality control management of their products and improve availability, as well as offer better warranty and recourse options for individuals who spend countless hours installing parts only to discover they are defective.
Oreilly's is a trusted and well-known brand that serves DIY home mechanics, who are often the same individuals I am referring to. It is unfair to allow this situation to continue without challenge. Frankly, it is an extreme disservice to those who rely on Oreilly's for their automotive parts needs.
Desired outcome: 1. Apology for wasting numerous hours of scarce free time. 2. To speak with someone from executive leadership who has the authority to both speak for the company and the capability to provide some sort of relief for this situation.
Alternator
I purchased an alternator from Orielys 5/26/2023,dude gave me the wrong part. After my mechanic noticed and told me to get a refund, the location claims they don’t have the cash and took my number and name down. They’ve never called and my mechanic has found a new alternator and my truck is fixed, yet I’m stuck with a new alternator with receipt that I can’t refund. What do I do?
Desired outcome: Refund my cash
Service
I went to the O'Reilly in Carroll, iowa and was ignored while I surch the store to find the item I needed. I had to get my phone and call a some one to check and see if I was getting the right thing, while one his name was Tony just stood behind to counter looking at his phone and Marty stood there having a really nice talk about life with someone. So I the paying customer was ignored. I did finish my purchase because I was already there but I will most definitely start going to the other parts store in town. Thanks but no thanks I will not be treated as a inconvenience.
Desired outcome: Your employees to be trained in customer service, last I checked tictoc and utube had nothing to do with it
Professionalism!!!
On May 26 2023 I was in your store. I asked for help with a Honda brake rotor removal tool. The girl (long braid/glasses) that worked there acted like she knew what I was talking about, but clearly did not. She said “no we don’t have that here”. It was very clear by her demeanor that she didn’t want to be bothered to actually figure out what I was talking...

Most likely, these employees are underpaid and overworked. However, it's no excuse for willful dereliction of duty and immorality. It was late and I lost the key for the gas cap. I am very dissatisfied the way the new world is running business. This is should be about making money, but rather set up a world for the better. I can recall vividly just around 20 years ago how we used to buy car batteries for our cars and how they would last so long before they went bad. In fact many of those batteries would not just go bad we would add...
Read full review of O'Reilly Auto PartsComplaining about one of your employees extremely rude
I went into O’Reilly store off of 72nd and Federal Blvd., Denver, CO. The person behind the counter was a woman her name was Missy. That’s the name she gave me she first started off by being extremely rude and smart mouth which I can’t believe I asked her where the brake fluid was and she just very rudely pointed it like it like I insulted her I’ll six and then I asked her about I gave her my Vin number and stuff like that and she just she didn’t act professional like the rest of the employees there they always ask you for your number they see if you can if they can help you they find a part for you she was just Rude and then at the end when when I was leaving I asked her name and she says why what do you want my name for you going to file a complaint while she she knew she was rude and she knew, and I just told her yes and I can guarantee you. I don’t know if there’s video on it or not but I was a complete gentleman and no raising boys no foul language nothing on my behalf, she didn’t use foul language either, but she was just extremely rude and day Chloe’s like that. Wow they just lose business so I went to another parts company and purchased my parts. That’s a shame because I really do like O’Reilly’s, but I hate to be treated like a like a punk thank you. Oh my name is A Edward Martinez. My phone number is [protected] and I would love somebody to contact me so I can talk about it or at least send me a text or something I don’t know I just hate to see your company. I lose business over a bad employee thank you.
Desired outcome: I think a person like that should be discharged bad for business
Customer service Fitzgerald GA
I've always recommended O'Reilly's because of the customer service I've received there. They've recently changed my wiper blades, in the rain. And changed out a battery for my husband on a 2016 Chevrolet 2500(a GM product). I sent my daughter the Fitzgerald, GA store for a battery check on 4/22/23. They did, in fact, check her battery and told her that it...

On saturday april 16 I called about the warranty on my purchased alternator, purchase was confirmed. I have a warranty, unfortunately o'reilly 's (store number 477 west tunnel blvd) did not have one in stock. I was sent to (store number 476 grand caillou rd), because they had one in stock. The guy behind the counter (store#476) said I didn't buy the alternator from them, I tell him I did buy this alternator from them he then tells me there nothing he could do and to come back in the morning and talk with the manager. I told him I can't I need this alternator tonight! It's under warranty! And it's been confirmed! Again he says I didn't buy the alternator from them com back tomorrow and talk to the manager! After asking for the managers name I took note. I then called store # 477 and he says they don't control how they do things over there. "unreal" I said ok and left the premises empty handed, humiliated, as if I didn't spend my money with them, knowing I did! I want justice! I want that employee terminated! Very unprofessional maybe because it was close to closing time? So now im stranded knowing I have a warranty and they have one in stock confirmed by store number and I can't access it, regardless of my confirmed warranty. Wasted fuel/time and now i'm suffering and helpless until sometime tomorrow when ever the store#4 gets one in stock. No excuses! It's kinda cold out tonight! Alternator was purchased in september last year!
Desired outcome: Compensation

Battery warranty not honored
On 4/1 I went into store 510 in Orange Texas, was met at the counter by an employee named Michael.
Michael smelled of alcohol and was not really willing to assist me. After waiting some time, Michael put his cell phone down, he was scrolling on Grinder or Tinder instead of performing his duties.
He proceeded to look up the warranty on my battery, he told me it was under warranty and proceeded to test the battery.
Battery tested "good" on their charger but tested bad on 2 other chargers.
Despite the battery being under warranty and in my name, he refused to even offer alternatives and rudely gestured to the battery rack and told me to just go get another one.
So, having no options but needing a battery, I was forced to purchase a new battery. No prorated discount was provided since my battery was still under warranty.
Desired outcome: Warranty my battery
