Store hours
I arrived at the store at 955pm. I knew exactly what I wanted however the store was closed early. The hours on the door say open til 10 pm. The store manager looked right at me and walked into the back office. She did not come out from behind the wall until 10:01pm. I needed a fuel pump and now I am gonna be sleeping in my car waiting for autozone to open...

I ordered a part on Friday early to be in Saturday after 4pm. Well I'm glad I called first!. Employee went and checked and said sorry no part didn't come in!. I'm ticked off and I need my vehicle!. Ordered it again I guess but I don't want it now got it elsewhere! I needed my vehicle asap!. To me you tell your customer in after 4 next day except it to be there! Not being let done saying didn't come in!. Sorry I won't be buying from your store again!
Battery
I bought a new battery in Nov 2020 by Jan 2021 the battery would not hold a charge and the store replaced the bad battery fast forward to Dec 2021 once the weather turned cold the replacement battery would not hold a charge so I took the battery to the local store they told me oh the battery is frozen and when it thaws out they would check the battery for proper operation they charged the battery and told me it’s a good battery two months later I’m having the same issue I brought the battery back to the same store today and I got the same response frozen battery they charged the battery again and low and behold it’s a good battery I would like to know why my other two vehicles which also sit outside don’t have this issue I’ve never had this issue with a battery unless it was getting old this battery is only 13 months old very frustrating
Desired outcome: Cash refund

Refused to honor warranty
I purchased a car battery from O'Reilly's one year ago for my 2017 Honda CR-V. The overnight temperature was 45 degrees. I tried starting the car but the battery was too weak to crank the engine. When the temperature warmed up, the engine started without incident. I took battery in to replace it as it was still covered by a three year warranty. The O'Reilly...

I purchased intake manifold gasket for my 2002 ford e350 when I discovered my
original intake was to damaged to use I went back to my local store to order an aftermarket manifold I was told I wouldn't get credit for the gaskets I purchased the day before. I have never ever returned anything before. for 53. I will never set foot in any oreilly store ever again. I placed my order online where returns are never a problem. Buyer beware if you shop at oreilly
AC Pro
Purchased the AC recharging kit but it turned out my car's compressor was the issue. Upon attaching the nozzle and attempting to refill the freon, I realized there was no pressure due to the compressor not running and thus no freon was going into the car.
Desired outcome: would like a refund or at least the amount of the refund in store credit.
Not refunding total amount of one purchase before crediting to other purchase.
On 02/05/2022 5:35pm purchased booster cables for $53.09 with tax $58.37. I used credit card for purchase. Later returned for a refund only to purchase a battery. After some adjustments made by the salesperson (which was very unclear when I exited the store) this purchase was made the same day 02/05/2022 6:04pm. With all of the adjustments I paid the total amount of $248.38. Again this purchase was made by the same credit card. (Note I have made 2 transactions for the total amount of $306.75) Later found the battery didn't work for my vehicle and I returned for a complete refund. Salesperson that took care of the transaction of refunding/crediting my account had a difficult time understanding what had taken place from the receipts. He elected to refund/credit me the amount of $248.38. Now that transaction did show up as a credit to my account, but I have yet to see or understand why I have not been credited for the $58.37. I keep being told that it was deducted from the battery and I say I've made 2 transactions where is my other money.
Desired outcome: "Please refund the $58.37." I'd appreciate a response.
The incident occurred between 9:30am-10:15 am 2/9/2022 morning at store # 867and after having a discussion with her about charges I was refunded for and upon me leaving the store, I heard her say "It's on the fu****g paperwork. I wasn't expecting this, but she drew first blood, and I didn't have kind words after that in which I had some words of my own.
Wrongful termination from oreilly's
Shelly, Idaho. Store #4825
On January 18, 2022 I was unfairly terminated because I refused to be audio recorded by Trevor Good (Lost Prevention).
At approximately 2:20 pm I was called into the manager's office by Trevor Good. Before he spoke to me he pressed a button on a small recording device. I immediately asked why are you recording this? Trevor replied, "It's what we do." I asked, "should I be read my rights?" A voice came over Trevor's cell phone and said, "No you don't need to read your rights." I did not know Trevor had his cell phone on and someone was on the other end. I expressed I was more than willing to cooperate and answer any question he might have but felt uncomfortable about being recorded. Trevor said, "This is how we do it and employees are required to cooperate." I asked him to show me the policy in which employees must consent to being recorded. He provided a policy letter stating employees must cooperate with loss prevention. I informed him nowhere in the policy did it say an employee must agree to being audio recorded. At that time I informed him again that I was more than willing to cooperate but felt uncomfortable about being recorded. He was clearly angry because I refused to be recorded and stepped out of the office to call his boss on how to continue. Trevor returned stating, "I must agree to be recorded or be terminated." I informed him I still refuse to be recorded. Trevor terminated me and escorted me out of the building. At no time was I informed what the matter was about. Is this a standard practice of O'Reilly's Culture or an isolated situation?
I was promoted to RSS and received two pay raises in the four months. I stepped up and worked extra shifts when the store was short of employees or when managers wanted time off. I enjoyed my position and time at O'Reilly's. In a matter of 15 minutes with Trevor Good and the way in which I was treated ruined every moment I worked for O'Reilly"s. When the news got around to all the local O'Reilly stores that I was fired, text messages started to flood my phone by co-workers I have worked with. I told everyone I was fired because I refuse to be audio recorded, refused to tell me who or what it was about, and that there is no policy stating an employee must consent to being recorded. I also informed them that I felt bullied, disrespected, as if I had no choice but to go along with what was happening. I was given two choices, be recorded or terminated. I refused to be recorded because Trevor refused to tell me what it was about. I was informed by several employees that every time they were questioned by Loss Prevention that they had to turn off their cell phones before questioning. I was never asked to turn off my cell phone, my cell phone was on the entire time. My phone was on silent because I was at work. If O'Reilly's is okay with treating me that way I can only imagine what they have done to other younger less mature experienced employees. If the situation is so important that it has to be recorded or you will be terminated, then some type of employee representation should be present on behalf of the employee. I feel as though my work history ethic before and with O'Reilly's did not matter.
As a retired active duty military member of 22 years and 3 time war veteran. I held a high security clearance working on and with stealth aircraft maintenance and deployments around the world. Retired with numerous awards, decorations, National Defense, war time, personal achievement awards and medals. I had never been so disrespected, bullied, and treated in such an unprofessional manner as I was that day by an employer (O'Reilly's Auto Parts).
I have contacted the VA regarding this situation. I will share my work experience at O'Reilly's good and bad with my fellow military members, social media military groups, friends, and on social media.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and explanation.
Sales person at the Leeds, AL store sold me the wrong alternator, killed battery.
I have complained once all ready, heard nothing from O'Riely. The sales person sold me the wrong alternator for my F150. The alternator would not charge my battery. The computer could not talk to the alternator to tell it to charge the battery, the battery died by the time I found out it was the wrong alternator. The next sales person I talked to looked up...

Stood at the counter in the Ottumwa Iowa O'Reilly auto parts store today [protected]) for quite sometime. Three men behind the counter but, none seemed to have time to wait on me. One of them was on the phone right in front of me the entire time I stood there. As soon as he hung up the phone two other customers walked in and right up to the counter. The guy on the phone turned and waited on the other customers...even though he'd seen me standing in front of him the entire time! I shoved my parts across the counter and told him I'd buy the items somewhere else. He simply said "thanks" and I walked out. I work for a company with a fleet of over 100 pickups. Several of us will be working in Ottumwa for the next few years. I promise you that I will make sure there is not one dime spent in this store! Wish I hadn't spent the $111.25 last week in there!

I bought a headlight for my vehicle in Valentine, Ne and Jeff Kespert that works there would not install my headlight and I'm elderly... The website states that O'Reilly would install it for me but he stated they do not do that. So I bought a headlight and now have to pay someone to install it. I'm very disappointed because now I have to wait to get it installed on my vehicle.

I bought a rebuilt alternator from your store in Kremmling, Colorado. After a week, the alternator fell apart. blade around pulley flew apart and dented my hood. Returned defective part and received an identical part. Put part on my truck and it would not charge. I returned the alternator to the Kremmling store where I purchased it. They said I was refunded my money back onto my credit card but do not see the credit on my statement. Store # 5989.
Desired outcome: Place the credit back onto my Capitol One card
Customer service, privacy rights
I was in the store I go to once or twice a day by my house and have spent thousands and thousands of dollars there, knew all the employees especially the manager Tom by a first name basis. I drove up to the Bastrop, LA about 4 pm 01/02/2022. Two men were behind the counter. I put 2 gallons of antifreeze on the counter. No other customers were in the store. One guy had walked away and the other guy was small talking on the telephone about a tool. I stood for 5 minutes not being waited on, decided to put the antifreeze back and leave. This was terrible customer service.

My husband called O'Reilly's to hold a starter for our Conversion Van and when we got there to pick it up we also bought an Alternator just in case it was not the starter. When we purchased it they never open up the box to look inside them and according to them they do but they didn't. Come to find out it was the Alternator that needed to be replaced so we never opened up the Starter box. My husband to it back to get a refund and when they opened it up it was a used Starter and would not give us our full refund. Sounds to me someone replaced it while it was on the table waiting for us to pick up or they gave us the wrong box. We lost 180 dollars on this and we are furious that this had happen. Instead they gave us a core refund. [censored]! Got a bunch of punks that work at this store that were rude. We should get a full refund for their stupidity. Will never go back to this store again.
Answering the phone

Unfit employee
To whom this may consern, but Ive been to your store on caroline st. in milton florida on numerous occasions, and the lack of management is at best laughable. I dont know who kelly is at this location but as many times ive been there to pick up parts for my race team to parts for myself I think I have a jist of what type of person she is when she just sits there behind the counter like a lump on a log and talks about her 40000$ jeep, her 3 kids, apparently she still lives with her parents, and from what I figure is either her boyfriend or husband telling her coworkers to do stuff lol. Its almost comical. Just figured I would drop a line from an old customer, thanks.
Desired outcome: ? not the best question here lol
Customer service
Jury I purchased this sparkplug same condition at the time I purchased totaling 11.99. The spark plug did not fit too wide. I returned it to them for a refund. The clerk scans the receipt. Waits then says I cant return your money. He consults with his manager. They both agree I put the spark plug in and I am returning with with the old spark plug. I want...
