I have been a rac customer for 5 yrs or more and I get behind 1 payment they come knocking on my door demanding there merchandise I tell them no so they call the manager and he shows up at my house at this point I'm very upset cause not only do I know for a fact payment has been made they didn't post it tmy account then they tell me they will be back to get there merchandise after I went off and will continue to be unhappy

I was renting to own a couch set for 1, 617.55, same as cash within 6 months. I am coming up towards the end of my 6 months this August. I have been paying them $200 every two weeks when I only needed to pay $86 every two weeks. Last time I went in to make a payment, I was told after my next two payments if I kept paying $200 I would be done and I wouldn't owe anything else. I came in to make my second to last payment today, only to be told I owe them $600 if I wanted to pay the couches off within the 6 months same as cash, and pay it all of with my next payment. But when I was there the last time I was told I only owed $156. Their response to as of why I owed them $600 was for insurance and other policies they didn't disclose to me whatsoever. When I came into the store, they told me to sign here, here and here. I asked them every single time I made a payment if I was only paying them for the couches, and kept asking the pricing for them. They told me yes every time except for today. I understand that I signed a contract, but that is a very sneaky way of having me binded into a contract. And last time I went in, they asked me if I wanted to finance a phone. They had one available for $200. So I said yes. Keep in mind this was before I was aware of the disclosures. They did not disclose any of the hidden fees with me for that contract either, and when I questioned them about it today they said that they did. But I'm pretty sure I would have remembered them saying that. Every time I gave them $200, only $108 went towards my actual couch payment. They have been robbing me blind. Went around the store asking other customers if the fees were fully disclosed to them, after asking 5 people all of them said they had no idea about the fees. I have given them 1, 500 for the couches so far, which means I should only have one more payment of $156. Not $597. Do not rent from this company, they don't even deserve one star for their service. If I didn't sign a contract and I was aware of those fees when I first walked into the store I would not have gone through with that whatsoever. Also, all of the payments I have made for every 2 weeks were changed in their computer, due to the hidden fees. They didn't really have a straight answer as to why for any of my questions. Everytime I went to make a payment I would ask the same questions, and every time I would get a different answer from the same individual.

I had an employee come to my house and kick my door, knock, and ring the doorbell repeatedly..When i finally got tired of it and answered the and told him i didnt have the money to leave, he calls his manager and tells him"this white trash sob aint paying"...I tell him to get out of my yard time and time again, he just paces around my yard provoking an altercation...My underage son hears the way he's speaking to me, comes outside it leads to an altercation...I try and seperate them we roll down a hill and rentacenter hits his head on concrete...Now im facing felony assault charges and have spent thousands of dollars because this fellow lied about what happened..Only positive thing, my young daughters heard and seen it all...Ive got a good lawyer as soon as i get out of this mess. Its rentacenters turn to pay up...Very thuggish, nasty language in front of my lil girls and repeatedly calling me the N word...Im white...I dont allow that word in my house or my yard no matter how its used...The truth will come out...When it does i intend to file suit..

The store on Patton avenue in Asheville NC below harrys on the hill. They are very rude. A year ago there was a guy that worked there that made some sexually comments to my 16 year old daughter and know I have cancer and my wife has had 7 strokes and 2 was massive and my oldest daughter called and paid what they can and yes we where behind but I paid for the club insurance that I was told would help us if we got sick and came out of work for a while and it didn't and the man named Jonathan he has a cursing problem he left messages on my phone cussing me and he also cussed my daughter beat it all I had a car for sale and he wanted it and he said what ever I wanted in the store that will equal what I was asking for the car I could have and then when they came to my house to get our couch and loveseat we were accuse of not having the end tables and lamps we never purchased end tables and lamps we only got a couch and love seat. I don't care about the steroids but we needed the furniture due to I have cancer and my wife sickness I have been a customer with rent a center for years. I think it's time I let the media air the way the men at this store treat their customers before anyone else gets treated this way. My furniture was about paid for. I was in the hospital going thru treatments and couldn't talk to no one and Jonathan called my phone and cussed my voicemail. My daughter called and made a partial payment and told them what was going on and they didn't care. I have always caught up if I got behind but the people of Asheville needs to know they way they treat people and then they came the other day and picked it up and mistreated my wife and very disrespectful to her in the shape she is in after her stroke. Their customer service sucks and their employees have no respect and especially to women and little girls. I think there is a law suit against rent a center for this and I am going to be speaking with an attorney about all of it and letting them read the messages that was sent to my daughter and the recording is that was left on my phone. The only person that has respect and shows it is Ray. The manager and Jonathan should not be allowed to work in a rent center. But we will let the courts decide because my disable wife should and me and my daughter should never been treated like this. Media will hear and my aunt works for the media she said the people of Asheville needs to hear this and know how they treat people.

They tell me it will be tu because monday they are booked up. ok guess what its the 6/23/18 and a peeking tom from rca in radcliff is looking at a 17 year old sleeping . she is my dog sisster .Wtf why would you look at a 17 year old sleeping in her bra and pantyies . i work from 5 30 pm to 4 am sometimes untill 6 am . this guy beat on the window and then almost busted the front door open . she is scared to death . they are suppose to pick up on tu 6/23/18 not sat. so her parnets are going to press charges when i get home tomorrow . my people next to me said they saw him looking in on her and trying to open the window as well. they said he opend the back door to the house and closed it real fast because of the dogs. Radcliff ky rent a cent you are sick perverts. its one thing to be doing your job .But to be looking at a 17 year old for 5 min through a window . then trying to bust the front door open . Then you open the back door . i hope when i get home the police find that perverted employee . Have 3 people who seen him do it.

I bought a ashley queen bed from rent a center on march 7, 2018. It was sopossed to be new mattress and box spring and frame. Will the box spring is broke and has no tags on it. The frame was missing a leg I had to buy, the box springs has rips in it. Called main office 6 times over this. On friday june 8, 2018 a store manger finally showed it and took pictures and said he will call us. Kenny the store manger called us on saterday june 9 and told us he will replace box springs and frame but don't know if he can order it sence they can no longer get that kind of bed. Or they would replace hole bed for a cheaper one and this bed is almost paid off I owe $ 189.99 and paid over $600.00 for this. I am contacting news center 13 and fox 59 over this matter.

I've been doing business with this company for many years... I recently went to rent a tv and everything was great... Well about a month or so my weekly payment was due on sat and needless to say my fault was not paid til wednesday morning so they said I only had to still pay the one week and late charges of course but instead I went ahead and paid for two... Well after that payment my payment came due again on a sat and yes this is all my fault I do realize this but I get paid wednesday so I called to pay my weekly and the late fees for two days late and they inform me this time I have to pay two weeks cause it's a new contract and it's been late twice which was ever only two days... Needless to say I told them to come pick tv up because I felt like that was wrong i've given this company so much of my money already and they are gonna treat me like this cause two days late... I would think them having as many customers and money coming in would matter more than two day late issue especially since I was paying late fee too... This manager was extremely rude and in my opinion not professional... I've managed a loan company and two days late was never a big deal.. When u go weeks or so not paying that's a big deal, anyways they won't be getting my business again or anyone I know until they change management... Just so everyone knows his name is jay from store in athens tennessee... Also please know I know that it being two days late is bad that's not the point i'm trying to make its poor management and poor customer service...

Recieved a call from RAC courtesy call rep told me about the specials they had since we're returning customers we paid off washer and dryer year before I told her we were intrested I told her my husband would stop by the store, well my husband arrived at the NW 23rd st store, Oklahoma City and was greeted by the nasty store mgr was not Courteous at all my husband called me I then called the store the mgr repeatedly told us the younglady was not available overall just nasty customer service I believe RAC hires the nastiest people Ever don't worry we were given great service at Aarons Rent and Thanks for nothing
fraud charges on my credit card
I would truly like this to go to Mark Speese CEO and Chairman of Rent A Center, I am not a customer or am I liable for any purchases to Rent A Center. Although, at one time I did help my daughter make a payment for a purchase, I am not a co signer or anything of that sort. Rent A Center decided to keep my card information on record so that they felt if she was late they could just automatically take what they felt was justified to take from my card. So, the first time this happened and I did just say the first time meaning this has happened again. I went into the store located at 75 S Sheridan Blvd Lakewood, CO, and spoke with the store manager Leo. He did issue me back my money as I asked and was assured that my card information would be removed from the account and computer. Well yes this again has happened, but this time a charge of 688.71 was issued on my card, not with my permission nor anyone elses permission. My question is now, is this a form of training? Store all information on anyone's card or bank information? Use as you feel when the authorize person, who is not a customer, has not given permission to use? I'm very upset! I'm told that I have to go out of my way and make it into this store to get my credit back, but I didn't have to be in the store for them to take it away. How is this justified legal by any means. So it took a button to press to take my money, and yes, I took the trip to the store to again get my credit back, in which, it is not automatically put back in as it was taken out, so I'm again waiting for the credit to go back on my card. This is not a fixed solution, this again was unjustified, and I want answers! I want all employees fired! This in no way can be legal by any means.

Finally was able to afford a nice refrigerator had it for awhile an something went wrong with it staying cold both refrigerator and freezer had it sent in for repairs didnt get it back when they said i would. Called a week later they told me they forgot about me... Then a month after i finally get it back and the freezer door wouldnt open... Theres dents all over it... It wasnt sent in like that paid almost $5000 dollars for this fridge an now it looks horrible... Im very unsatisfied an will never rent from here again this store is located in alliance, ohio at the college plaza

I would like to file a complaint against Yolanda at rent a center in Hallandale Beach. she has been a very nasty very rude customer service agent i have ever dealt with! This lady has been very disrespectful to me on several occasions from the time i received my furniture. She is very rude and down talks the workers in front of the customers. I don't think that is very professional at all. my last complaint for her is that she called yelling at me to make a payment. just because i am renting the equipment doesnt me that she has the RIGHT! to speak to me as if i am a child. the only thing keeping me from returning everything that i have gotten from RAC is the fact that i have already made several payments.
pick up at 9pm!!
I have asked for weeks for a washer and dryer to be picked up. They have not. They finally scheduled for 4pm today and showed up with 1 guy at 9pm! There store isnt even open. I signed nothing. He tore up my floor scooting it out the door and then went and got the dolly to get it down the stairs! No one called me to say they were coming or going to be late! I am furious as we have to work at 5am! I want my floor fixed!

Then he proceeded to cuss at me and got a attitude because i was told wrong i do not appreciate being treated this way when i was told i cluld do every two week payments

My fiance and I go through Rent a Center in Gilmer Texas. My payments are due on Saturdays. This store starts blowing from phone up as soon as they open up. They call at least ten or more times before 6. Well today my house caught on fire. No product we are renting was damaged. But I told the lady that works there. I ordered the product in-store was told delivery date would be May 8th, no one called me to tell me that it was rescheduled! I find out at 4:45 pm after I rescheduled my appointment because store policy can't tell the time of delivery. So now I talk the manager she tells me (Christy) delivery definitely would be between 1-1:30 it's going on 2:30 no call nothing. The worse purchase I'll ever made. The customer service at this store is horrible.

Yes, I am a customer at rent a center. I always have a wonderful experience with most of the team there at the location in Indianapolis located 4833 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46254. Except with one employee named LaQuana. I believe she is an assistant manager. I was transferred to her about my account. I'm usually always on time making my payments and am not even a full week behind yet. I explained to her that I would be making my payment this week on Thursday. She kept interrupting me and had a very disrespectful attitude and yelling. I have previously dealt with her in the past and every time she is disrespectful and has a terrible, demeaning attitude. None of the other managers I have talked to has ever treated me this way. They are always professional. The store manager Ardele is professional. Brandon. Jeremy, everyone else always has a professional and courteous demeanor except her. I have been to other stores in Indianapolis for Rent a Center previously and was always treated with respect. Her demeanor, attitude and tone with people is completely unacceptable. I am a Christian woman and give people the benefit of the doubt. If she doesn't like her job I would suggest finding something else that fits her better, because customer service is not a good fit for her.

This account manager in Canandaigua, NY has texted off his personal cell phone that he was basically going to fight my dad after they decided to take money off of a card they weren't supposed to touch. His exact words were "Who the [censored] you talking to, [censored] I'll ruin your life [censored]. Let's not wait, where you at [censored], yeah that's what I thought [censored]!" He's disrespectful and I don't understand how ANYONE can allow a worker to speak to customers this way. I am appalled. This company has gone down hill and it's ridiculous. Learn to choose workers wisely.

In the text i was told that i was to pay now or they're picking up only and underlined only! I am only a week late and feel harrassed by an employee who is texting me from his personal cell phone which i think should be off limits for an employee to use a personal phone and not a company phone . If it does not stop, i will be pressing charges.
