I have rented so much stuff from the rent a center on Lexington and paid it off. Now that I'm a month behind and stop listening to all there gossip and drama now they want to file court papers. They sleep with a lot of women that come to that store. But they came to my house and cursed my daughter out cause they thought I was home. We got a TV from Rent A Center and we was 7 days late on payment due to my father in law passing away. They would NOT wait till the following Friday so they picked it up on Monday. We got the TV back that following Friday. Every since then, someone has hacked into our TV. Adding channels. Removed our hulu. They left a nasty note on our door last claiming they are sending a sheriff to our door and we are only 4 days behind on payment. Why should we pay for breach of our information. I had rented from a different store and had issues. Already sent it all back. So, 2 mo this later I am still in need of a refrigerator. My parents, wanted to help me. Out so they were going to rent one for me. They called, spoke with stephanie, set up a new agreement in their name, paid a month up front and asked her to have the account in their name so they could pay it monthly. She agreed, took payment and set up delivery date. Of course they never showed. I called and she set it up for a week later, never showed again. I call again and she tells me and I quote "we won't be delivering it now because you owe the other store from an old agreement". I said, "this is not my agreement or account, it's in my parents name, they pay the bill and have already paid a mo the". She replied very hateful and calling me "dear" being very smartass and refused my parents business. They have never owed money to them, they have perfect credit and were renting for me in their name to help me and pay for me. Not only did she refuse their business but, she waited 1.5 weeks to come up with this brilliant statement. They had already spoke with her, told her they were renting it for me in their name, paid a month ahead and 2 failed delivery dates before she did this. She was very rude and let people sit home and miss work on 2 different days waiting for them to never come. My parents and I are furious. And they were getting ready to rent a whole bedroom set and stove from her... Not now not ever. I was treated like a dog from her. My bill I owe the other store in the past is in my name, this was a whole new account in my parents name. She knew it and she agreed and took their money. But, since she is so close to the manager at the other store, they collaborated and waited a week and a half to come up with this story. I missed 2 days of work waiting on delivery. I don't want anything from rac ever again nor will my parents be ever coming there. Sickening how she spoke to me and how she treated us.
guaranteed delivery
I started a new agreement and was promised a certain delivery time but that did not happen and after speaking with the store manager Tiffany and guaranteed a second delivery they still didn't show up and never called to say that they would not be coming! This is not good customer service and for them not to even call and say that they were not coming after I had to make arrangements to be at the house this is an inconvenience and now I cannot take off another day to wait on the! Honestly I'm considering canceling my order and get my money back and go somewhere else! This behavior from a store and it's mana is unacceptable!

I would not recommend Rent a center to anyone who reads this especially if.you are a veteran or government employee I bought and paid off several items from rent a center currently have a tv that I have been paying for faithfully up until the recent government shutdown they have been harassing me coming to my house calling any and everybody tried to get it worked out where I could make a double payment as soon as I get my check and they turned it down and was not willing to resolute with me at all. I refuse to do a new agreement so at this point I am officially done.with rentals if I cant afford it at that time well then maybe it's just not meant to be and for this same TV that they tack on 1000% interest I might add I can go to best buy and get for $500.00 and be done with it all together. After all this rent a center u showed ur true colors and I'm done

Tons of issues! I recently purchased a sofa/loveseat and a 75 inch samsung tv threw rent a center in clementon new jersey. I made my first payment the day I signed the contract and was approved. It took a week to deliver my items. When they arrived to deliver the driver asked me if he could drive up on my lawn to get the couches in threw my back sliding door.. After he got stuck in the lawn where my sub pump pumps out and had to be wenched off by a tow company. The truck left ruts in my lawn that are 2ft deep. It was not intentionally done but they just left our lawn like that and the manager came out but didn't even speak to us. Also the tv they delivered was not a 75 inch as discussed it was a 65 inch. I wrote on the delivery paperwork that I received the wrong tv and was told that they would swap me out once they got another one in the store. After this I was already debating if this whole purchase was a good idea.. On december 1rst my 2nd payment was due again I wanted to speak to the store manager in person to make sure the tv would be getting rectified and about what was going to be done about my lawn. Even if they would do half of the cost to fix it I would of been happy with that, but to just leave it like that and not even follow up with us was seriously unprofessional. Also my payments were supposed to be every 2 weeks when we started since I get paid bi weekly but they had a promotion going on that your first week was $5 so it was switched to every week. After they said they could switch it to bi weekly but never did. Anyway between work, just moving into a home, and other reasons I could not get to store. I attempted to make a payment online because I was being harassed at home along with family members that I put on my application and the server was done so I emailed the store directly to contact me and why I have not made the payment. Now my 3rd payment was due as I was still on weekly and I didn't worry about the payment so much because even with it being 2 weeks it was not a ton of money. I was more concerned about rent a center not rectifying these issues and giving me the merchandise I actually wanted. To sum this horrible experience up, on dec 11th they came out yet again and I was not home but my husband was. The employee told him they received the 75 inch tv and were going to swap ours for it. My husband not thinking allowed the man to take it. Well since I was behind they took it and the whole story was to be able to do that. When I got home I immediately called and made a complaint to the 800 customer service number. I received this reference # incext1031943. I then called the rent a center where I purchased and they told me I could make the payment and retrieve my tv. I proceeded to discuss the already known issues and they could care less. Who in their right mind would pay for something until the company diligently tried to fix our lawn or even for the manager to apologize for the damage would of sufficed. N for the tv to be discussed and rectified. I went into the store this saturday dec 15 2018 and they sold the television I have a contract for purchasing 3 days after lying to take it! Then told me they were not giving me a tv until I made a few payments on time! How dare they! I paid for the couch until the 29th and they gave me a new contract for just thr couch. I refused to sign because I wasn't agreeing to that I wanted what I came there for a couch and tv. They told me if I didn't sign it they would just take the couch as well. This illegal outrageous and inappropriate. I want corporate to contact me asap

Rent a center gave me bed bugs I've never ever had an issue with bugs especially bed bugs after investigating and tearing the box spring apart that's from rent a center it was infested with bugs and there poop and blood they picked up the box spring that night and then gave me a new one wrapped in plastic plus bought me bed bug spray plastic etc then a few days later there were bed bugs crawling out of the headboard the dresser back and the night stand all from rent a center this set was in my kids room both my kids had bites all over there bodies and even went to the dr after finding them also in the furniture they delivered I put it all outside and told them to pick it up they did no questions asked said they were so sorry and would do anything to help well 2 months later and the claim they put in with there insurance company to get me an exterminator was denied I had two exterminators check my home I had two bed rooms effected and had to throw out multiple things including furniture bedding curtains etc now there refusing to help at all we've all developed anxiety about sleeping and I'm just stuck with this issues after they reminded to help me get an exterminator for something they caused will absolutely never ever set foot in that store again and I'm seeking legal help now oh yeah they picked up infested furniture from my home in there company truck with other people things in there how careless they lie cheat steel and ruin life's

The employee is rude no manners and try talking to you like a dog and ECT he called my wife phone and talk to her crazy and telling her about the delivery and we have a scheduled time and he told her if we finish before your time is scheduled and you not there when we come by then you just won't get it and I will have to reschedule so I called and he won't talk to me and says that the manager is at lunch and keep hanging up the phone you spend your money at these places and it's paying for there pay check and keeping there business going and this is how you get treated

I have been a customer since 8/18/18, and I regret it. The customer service is so bad that if y'all would give me my money back I will go somewhere else. I pay my payments and I was threatened that they will take my property back. I really don't see why or how because I am making my payment. Who ever is in charge please check your staff.

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S8 I've paid off the phone and mid September I took the phone to the store because I had damaged it. I am on the benefit plus insurance policy I was told I had to wait for another S8 to be located. Early October a phone have been found for me but the phone needed repairs to it as well I waited until the phone came back called almost every Tuesday, in hopes that it was in the store finally the phone return October 31st. When I got into the store I picked up the phone once I got home I took it out of the plastic bubble wrap and noticed that the top SIMs card holder would not shut I still powered on the phone and tried to set up everything one setting up my email in Samsung account downloading my apps I opened the camera and a message popped up that said camera failed. When looking up with that actually meant there were some minor meanings and then there were some major meaning some of the majors were the phone have been dropped. I know the phone was a used phone but I don't understand why they could not find me a new S8 giving all the time that it has taken to get a replacement cell. And I really feel that it is very inconvenient for me to have to wait again for this phone to be repaired and then when I get it back I still don't even know if the is properly working until I transfer my services into it today is November 1st and I was told yesterday that shipment does not get picked up or dropped off until Tuesday's therefore I am going to have to wait until next Tuesday for the phone to be picked up and the following Tuesday for the phone to be dropped off hopefully the phone will be working properly

I don't appreciate the rude unfair treatment I got from a store manager I walked in to pay my bill explained that I had cancer and was on bed rest climbed out my bed to go pay them when I walked in the store I felt like attacked like I walked into my own street fight .. it was very humiliating.. i purchased used items for a high amount of money and don't even have all the pieces.. Kryss and Iris are very rude and the males just act like they know nothing.. the manager disrespected me so bad I was in tears for the next few hours..I should not be treated like this .. I still came to pay..they then charged me the ten days and forced me to pay 2 weeks after.. so I had to be home sick on chemo with not a dime to even get food for the next two days . But like the girls nnthe store said I guess it's all my fault I was just trying to figure out why they didn't call me but harrassedy references even after I called and spoke with them . I will never give rent a center my business.. no person should be belittled because they are going threw something esp to be mocked by an employee to be further embarrassed because u have to give these same people your money.. I sent my other items back and will go to Fingerhut from now on.. I almost want to go to arbitration and sue..not almost I contacted legal aid...

I did not have any money to pay for my furniture I tried to sent it back and they said I had bug bugs I had the plac checked for bed bugs and I had none. Now they are trying to charge me 200 a month 50 a week and if I don't pay them on a certain day they are calling me non stop anyway they knew I was moving and they came and took washer and dryer and my tablet but left the couch and table and chairs up against my apt building and left. The appointment building had no bed bugs. I can not afford this. I told them I can only afford 50 a month because now I only get ssi and that is it. I only have that and that is it I tried to get more and I caint. Can I please just pay that and pay it to you guys i'm done dealing with that store

I rented a refrigerator witch y paid for 3 months. The offer that the sales person offer me was make 3 payments and we would make the 4th payment for you. After 3 months paying that way they gave me a call saying that the method was make 4 payments and the 5th payment they would make it for me. Since that was not the offer they had made me I tried to claim the sales person and they left me in hold on the phone call and then hung up. After that action y ask them to come pick up the refrigerator because that was not what they had offer. That was on October 1 2018. I call several times a week because they had not come pick up the refrigerator on October 22, 2018 I called again and they said they would pick up the refrigerator the next day that did not happend. Till this date October 28 the refrigerator still in my home.
