unlawful firing
I literally have been working Full-Time as a server at the Bridgewater Ruby Tuesday. Manger Trisha Thorne has just terminated my employment there due to a day I called off to discuss jury duty and court case with my lawyer. I'm appauled and disgusted by this new manager Ruby Tuesday Corporate has brought over. She literally doesn't have the aptitude or temperment to be a manager.
customer service
Went to the Ruby Tuesday restaurant near Easy Tennessee State University last night for Veterans Day. It took about 30 minutes, and four different people to serve one beer to me. Ridiculous. I served in the Air Force for 30 years, abd, believe me, I have seen inefficient use of resources, so I know what I'm talking about. Then, it took about an hour to get our food. I swear, I can hardly believe how slow your staff was at this location. It was almost unbelievable. Since I'm an old guy, I was also amazed at how quickly and efficiently all the younger customer around us were being served. It was almost as if the waitress was focused on flirting with the high tipping hipsters all around us, while mostly forgetting about us. I can't believe THAT would ever happen though, can you? Very, very disappointed in the quality of your staff.
a server
On October the 9th we went to the Ruby Tuesday in Columbia Tennessee the food was great and we thought the server was also until I get my bank statement she had added $7.00 to my ticket for her tip we had left cash tip with her. I went to the restaurant when my statement came in the mail and talked to the mangers not sure what their names was but they were very nice and worked hard to find the receipt which they did find and that's where we saw she had added herself a tip. They said that they would have it put back in my account within a week. it's pretty sad when you are on a fixed income and when you do get to go out and eat someone would do this. Not sure if I will return to Ruby Tuesday because of this. I know it's not the mangers fault and I do appreciate their hard work on fixing my bill but I would like to know what they did to the server because if she was not fired for this I know without a doubt I will not be back. You can contact me at [protected] if you have any questions about my experience
we never have food!!
I work at ruby Tuesdays in Corinth and we are always out of food! Every single day of the week when I come in to work I have to ask what we are out of that day because whoever is doing the ordering is awful! Last night we were out of every green vegetable side item! My customers are angry at me and always make a scene. Then we have to give people discounts or comp their whole meal. So because the person over ordering won't or can't do their job we have no food, angry customers, fed up employees, and we are losing money because we have to either give discounts or comp their food.
refused to honor coupon we were given 1 week earlier to use next time we came in
We were given 15% off coupon on Nov 1st 2016 by our waitress. She told us about the Tuesday all you can eat ribs they have and we could come back and use it then. We went back on Tuesday Nov 8th 2016. We sat down ordered drinks then showed our coupon to the waitress. She said she would have to talk to the manager about it. She came back and said they would not honor it. I asked to speak to the manager. When he came to our table he did not look like manager he was scroungy looking and had a dirty shirt on. He would not honor the coupon for the all you can eat. I pointed out that the coupon said "15% off VIP special excluding tax, tip & gratuity Valid only at RT Kihei through 2/28/17" The coupon had no restrictions on it. The manager still refused to honor the coupon. We decided to leave and not reward false advertising.
lunch at lithia springs, georgia
Today my son and I went for lunch to Ruby Tuesday's in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The food was cooked way too done, especially the chicken dippers, but the dessert is what baffled me.
I ordered a dessert (cherry cheesecake with white chocolate) for $7.99!
I brought it home to eat later and when I opened it, I was very disappointed!
The slice was VERY THIN, there was no white chocolate, it was put in the "to go" box upside down. I started to get back in the car and take it back to the restaurant.
I have also eaten at the South Cobb Drive Ruby Tuesday's many times without any complaints. Whoever hires the cooks at the Lithia Spring location needs to be replaced or ask them to eat the food and pay $44 or $45 dollars for a bad meal!
Yours truly
VERY DISAPPOINTED!
general manager/management
After an interview I had an official orientation that began with an orientation start date with the general manager (Mike) on the 20th of October. upon completion of all that I could from the computer based website I was sent a link to my email stating that the 20th was my first day however upon meeting with an Ashley on the 22nd she then decided to change that information also having somehow logged into my email account she went into my inbox and tried getting me to complete what was to my knowledge already 100% completed. The only problem was not really having been able to view the videos in which still wouldn't play. Im then giving a training guide in which ive worked in a lot of kitchens/restaurants and even public schools already to be efficiently trained enough but could use a basic run down of whats where to utilize in my dishwasher/salad bar position. That information would have never came if I didn't forcefully have to get to those answers as I was actually intentionally being told wrong by two woman pretending to not have any good English vocabulary skills. I watched as food was left out for long periods of time not at the right temperatures such as blue cheese dressing. I read reviews posted on the dirty utensils and do know it to be so. By them simply not following instructions on how it is that they will get properly sanitized and not allowing me to be able to do the same utensils can stay dirty. Upon being in the cluttered mess the first day they kept on saying that I don't have to clean any of it because it will all get done at the end of the night therefore areas were not cleaned behind after duties or tasks and everything remained a mess except for what I was able to wipe or sweep up quickly. my dishwashing was interrupted by one of the females unnecessarily getting in the way as if she knew how to work the machine better than me so I mostly just stacked from the other end. washing hands and changing gloves I also had to keep restocking the salad bar items in the fridge and out on the restaurant floor as well as the plates. That lady was also very messy, maybe drunk but my concern was seriously just the presentation and sanitation in which she was spooning the salads onto the platters by physically touching with her hands in front of customers. theirs also no tool to clean spilled items around the platters that are on ice so she was teaching me to use my hand to clean around where food spilled in front of all guests/customers. It was terrible. Each of the three, even four days that I arrived for work I knew as the book told me to clock in and go straight to the laptop to log into my account that could not be logged into in order to go through these trainings. For one punching in required another to swipe their card at the same time in which no one had informed me of so that it looked as if I was late instead of on scheduled time. This Ashley person disturbingly kept on asking me to announce my personal private and should be secure government information such as a social security number that she wanted on public display on the computer and yet it still never logged me in but neither did the required log in and passwords that were supposed to have been used for the sites and the benefits. she also overrode the general managers decision to want me working both dish and salad rotating from one to the other in the evenings. she decided that she would schedule me for two 9am's instead of keeping evenings. both of those times the doors were not unlocked or opened for me to clock in on time. 9am cleaning that should have been done the night before is what I did. Sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, saladbar, dishwashing, saladbar, dishwashing and was about to go back to salad bar when I realized that my pocketbook was missing from the hook with my training guide and lisence and all in there. for three days I hung my bag with my jacket right over it but now it mysteriously was not there so I immediately started asking questions pertaining to where it may be. did any employee leave? is there anyone in the bathroom. A waitress was the first to witness the area free of my bag and then we both went and got the manager "Ashley" whom also witnessed that my bag was removed from the hook and area in general because we all were looking. as I returned from checking the males room thinking to call the police someone had returned the bag to the floor area of the hooks to hang our belongings but off to the side. I felt very violated and imposed on expressing that if they don't know they need to find out who would do such a thing because it wasn't okay. in return yet another manager whom was never introduced and was already extremely rude and loud started shouting that she has guests out in the lobby. in three days ive heard some of the loudest hells kitchen types of shouts with curse words come from the back of the house and know that it cannot be heard at all in the front so she needed to not act as if my belongings having gotten stolen was not an issue because I am important in what I do as an equal and they are actually all our guests that I would clean for not just serve a plate and count the money. Again im asked to punch out being told that I can go. Following the written schedule I arrive another 9am to a locked door and wait for everyone to arrive late for it to open. im told that I no longer work there. I requested and was given the general managers phone number whom hasn't returned a call about my three punched in on the clock days of physical labor or its pay day. I believe although he told me more than minimum wage at $9 and change he might've actually typed in $10 per hour. yes a large part of doing any work of coarse would have to be the pay that is needed by anybody in order for the work to get done. because they want life in this new world of ignorance to be on or in their phones she was claiming that I wasn't on a schedule just to be negative. I happen to know that they by now they are intentionally doing whom they can really wrong and then getting rid of them.
food
My family and I went to Ruby Tuesday's on October 11.. They had a note on the door, short-handed because of the storm. The service wasn't the problem, the food was nasty.. Even the Salad bar was nasty, burgers burnt, and one wasn't even done like we wanted.. I really hate to complain but the food was terrible. We ended up spending $132. 00 for terrible terrible food. They probably should have just stayed closed until their staff or proper staff showed up
kings island, ohio store
I ordered a lemonade, and the server (male) brought me a margarita. I'm a reformed alcoholic, and absolutely cannot have any alcohol at all. I took a drink, and this could ruin my life. Mark Ashley, [protected], 4918 Isaac Ln., Mason Ohio, 45040
management
Ok so for one I was just fired unjustly ive never had a write up or called out without out a drs note. Christina head boh manager plays favoritism towards the male emoloyees and every one there will agree.. If your a girl she will pick on you and she will talk about employees behind their back to other employees
manager/customer service
We were in at the the Warrington Pennsylvania location on September 9, 2016 and were speaking to Tony the manager and he said that my needs were not important and was unprofessional. I was just asking some questions and he just kept repeating over and over again that my needs were not important.
Oh no he clearly stated that he didn't have time to look and he said it was not important to the business and he would get to it when he felt like it.
We forgot to ask for the receipt when we paid and we didn't realize it until we got back to our hotel and so on Sunday morning we went in and asked if it was possible for them to look it up because we needed it for work . the manager said that it may be able to be done but we can't give you a time frame because its not important . we gave them the total of the bill, the table number, and the time when we were in there.
I would love to know what your 'needs' were.

9/4... early p. m...
On my birthday I decided to treat my son & my 2 grandchildren, and my other son & I to a luncheon at the cromwell ruby tuesdays. I have frequented this restaurant several times for the salad bar. I have always had good service, common sense & a delicious meal.
Today.. we ordered our drinks... instead of two cokes she brought two sprites. after she walked away my older son he had a problem with this same server a month ago. got the meals wrong, forgot the drinks until mid dinner.
Our order had taken longer than it should have. she never popped back over to see if we needed any more drinks, or to let us know it was still being worked on.. I only ordered the salad bar, so I waited for the others to get it, and two were kids meals.
When they finally got their meals I went up to get my salad. I was so excited, and hungry! I made my plate, turned to a nice hostess and asked her if someone could get me the "peppercorn dressing, it's white" from the back. I told her they always get that for me here. and it comes in a lil' pouring serving thing. she must have relayed this to "our server".. the server then comes to me with a micro mini dipping sauce.. it looked thin, maybe like an oily base dressing. I said to her, "what's that"... I asked for the white peppercorn, its white. ".. she said,"a powder?".. I could not believe it. yes,"powder"... I said no, its a dressing from in back, I always get it here! she again brought up powder?!?!? at that point, I said"forget it, please take my salad off the tab".
I have never had an experience like this. she seemed very young, not well trained, and apparently she had issues a month ago with my son & his family sitting in the same area. I will come back, but will not sit in her area.
I have always had a good experience there. the regular servers would always go above and beyond, even get the manager to come over and apologize. no one came over.
Today was my birthday. I only ate 2 small mushroom slivers & nibbled 4 carton's waiting. this was not a happy birthday luncheon.
Someone needs to train her in following up, customer service, and all the extras that ruby tuesdays has to offer... and I dont think its powder.
Thank you.
She maybe was new. And she maybe did need more training. But you are very condescending. She obviously had not heard of peppercorn dressing and did not know what it was. There is no need for you to be so rude and to have not eaten anything. That was your choice.
Went to Ruby Tuesdays on Neptune/ Tintin Falls, NJ on Oct. 17. 2016. Was seated promptly and server took our order, brought our drinks and biscuits. After about 25 minutes the server apologized for the delay of our order, a back up in the kitchen he reported. About 15 minutes we asked "how much longer and he responded he would check. Another 15 minutes went by and we told him 5 minutes more or we were leaving. Which we did as he did not return. There were only a half dozen tables so they were not busy, how could there be a back up in the kitchen.
We also had coupons that he said they could not honor as we were getting a discount on what we ordered. Very questionable!
We won't go back! Maybe that is why there were only a few tables occupied.
food cooked
I just left the Ruby Tuesdays #5130 in Elizabeth City N.C. My husband and I ordered the Ribeye his regular mine cajan not only was mine not cajan but no season at all when I said something they took my plate only to shake season on it and return it. I also ordered the brussel sprouts with the cheese no go there either they didnt have it but i could have the grilled brussel sprouts which was inedible ( hard and blackened) I am very unsatisfied with my meal. $60 for something my 8 yr old niece could of made better! In my opinion either the cook or the whole establishment has given up! Will never go back to this place again.
manager treating staff horribly
I cannot remember the exact date but about a week ago I came in for lunch after shopping in the mall. The server I had was friendly and proficient. I could see her working really really hard to accommodate the guests at her other tables. And was wondering why she was working so hard when I saw other employees who could have been helping but most importantly was the manager who seemed to be just standing there glaring at her. A little bit after that I heard him talking very rude and mean and demeaning to her and I personally didn't see what she could have done wrong. She was visibly shaken by him talking so badly to her. To me as a psychotherapist it sounded border line verbally abusive. When she returned to my table I asked her if everything was okay and she responded with the proper response of "oh yes everything is fine" with a smile on her face. I didn't ask her his name but before I left I overheard another employee refer to him as Tim. He didn't even smile at the guests in the dinning area. What a horrible person he is to be in a manager position.
Customer Service: It's not an assumption. I heard it with my own ears. As well as my Daughter who was with me and I know at least one other guest heard it as well because they said "Oh my god, listen to how he's speaking to her, that's awful." And before I was a psychotherapist I was a server and eventually a manager at Carrabba's for 12 years. As far as wine is good"s comment about it being none of my business, maybe not. But when the guests can hear it then it kind of is. And the none of your business attitude you have is sad. It's okay to care about people. Even if you don't know them.
So if you and your spouse is having words, the employees of the restaurant should butt in your business and tell you to pipe down? Or would you tell them it was none of their business? It has nothing to do with not having a heart. You have no idea what the situation is, and unless you are the manager, you should butt out.
I agree you have a heart. Anyone who thinks it none of your business is cold uncaring person that must not have a heart!
None of your business.
slow service slow bar slow food
My husband and I went to the Douglas, Ga location. We usually enjoy a night out at this restaurant but this time was in need of some serious help! Took over 45 minutes to get our food, service was very slow. We waited over 10 minutes to see our server for the first time. Our ticket says "Laken" she wasn't friendly and easy asked to see the manager because our problems and never seen one. We won't be back to this one!
Oh please. Cry me a river.
were missing products from the $12.99 menu
My husband and I went to the Westbury, NY Ruby Tuesday's last night for dinner around 6 p.m. When we got there, I noticed the person cleaning up the salad bar was tossing all the food that was dropped around the serving dishes back into the dishes. I never saw that before. Then we were seated. When we asked for the $12.99 menu, there didn't have any to look at. They rattled off the choices. But we were told that there were no ribs available. They had run out. My husband always only orders ribs no matter where we go. That was very disappointing. Then when it came time for the dessert, I tried to order the berry tart and was told that they don't have that either. I purposely wanted to go to Ruby Tuesday's because I love that dessert. The waiter told me that it was a seasonal dessert. I told him that I had just had it the other day at Medford and he said well they were much busier than the Medford location and that's why they had none. Very disappointed with the service and attitude of this location.
service, lack of communication
On 8/23/16 around 5:10, me an my daughter went in to grab a bite to eat since it was "kids eat free on Tuesdays". Everything was ok until I ordered the spiked strawberry lemonade. The pic looked nothing like the smoothie. But when it was brought out, it had the consistency of a smoothie so I simply asked if I could replace it. At that time it took about 20 mins (both managers walked passed the drink, the server didn't come back out and the bartender made no attempt to bring the drink over. I received the drink only after I boxed my food. I was charged for my daughters meal as well as the drink that I never got to drink. In addition to that. I ordered the 3 course meal for 12.99, in the beginning of the order I told Mary my order and she did not bother to tell me that they no longer served the berry tart. I asked to speak to a manager but no one ever came out. She did revise the ticket an took the kids meal off, but still had the drink on there. And did not offer to accommodate for the inconvenience of her poor service or the lack of communication.
The pic of your drink looks exactly like the pic of the menu. The strawberry lemonade is frozen, you got a frozen drink.
the manager
We arrived at this location with 3 senior citizens couples at approximately 5:30 pm, we where seated and had a very nice waiter who took our order.
We all 6 ordered from the new $12.99 menu, at which time the wait told us to help our self's to the salad bar. We went to the salad bar to find No plates, no lettuce, and most of the items on the salad bar empty. A group of people where there waiting for someone to bring salad dishes and replenish the empty dishes, which didn't seem to be happening. I went to see the manager, when I found her I told her the situation, her answer to me was very rudely, and with a bad attitude that she was aware or this situation, nothing more, like it's be taken care of or any kind of apologies, and walked way.
with this I told the other couples with me and we decided to leave, telling our waiter to cancel our orders. We all then went to a local diner and had a very nice dinner, with no bad attitudes. All 3 couple reside in a senior complex with over 200 units nearby, we will let them know how we where treated at Ruby Tuesdays, and let them decide if they want to go there. This all happened on Sun. 8/7/2016 at 5:30 pm.
employees
At 10:20 last night on August 6th I was at the Ruby Tuesday's on Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville North Carolina when an employee came in and started yelling at the girl behind the bar he called her a stupid b**** and was extremely rude to her in front of other customers and management did nothing. I find this extremely unprofessional I will never go back to this Ruby Tuesday's ever again I honestly feel sorry for the poor girl behind the bar. The manager was a bald black guy and the employee was a light skinned chubby guy with short hair. The bartender apolized to us however management should apologized for an incident occurring in store in front of guest. The barender was professional and very nice during our visit even after the issue.
Did I ask for anything free no I didn't go be a troll on someone else's page. Seriously I will not be under a microscope because other people want to aCT so high and mighty like a keyboard warrior I simply expressed my disdain for the actions expressed by the staff. Obviously I know he was an employee or else I wouldn't of wasted my time writing this if I was unsure... saying that I will retort to your numinous, undignified and unwanted responses... POOF BE GONE TROLL!
You don't act like that in front of customers bottom line. Have a good day. It is my business when I and my family was witnesses to work place violence and hostility.
Obviously someone has no idea what respect is.
Are you not also acting high and mighty? You, who came to a public blog to voice your opinion about two people having a disagreement? We are doing the same. Do you think you are the only one entitled to an opinion and the right to voice it? Honey, you are not. As for trolling, pot meet kettle. You are such a hypocrite. Poof...be gone.
The point I am making is you have no idea what the situation was or even who the people were. It could have been a domestic dispute. Or the bartender could have started an argument and the other person was finishing it. Or it could have been two employees fighting over a tip. The fact is, it had nothing to do with you, so you should have minded your own business.
Imagine you and your spouse having a dispute. I bet you my entire bank account if an employee said something to you about it you would tell them to mind their own business. Like I said, when it does not concern you, mind your own business.
Number one, how do you know the guy was an employee, and two, how is this any of your business?
tilapia shrimp
My wife and I enjoy ruby's often but now and then there is very little attention to getting the dinners to match the menus discription ! I'm not blaming the staff at the location I was at because there is little they can do about it for it is all prepared food from the supplier!
To give an example, the shrimp on the menu was rich, vibrant and sizeable! The shrimp that Sat on top of the tilapia was thin, Dry, and smaller round than a quarter, not to mention only 4 made it to my meal ! Not a huge problem but this meal is 15$ !
The way I look at this is if the CEO of RT came to visit this location and ordered what I did, would he be happy...let me answer for him, no! My wife and I like to make the best of unacceptable situation so we didn't complain to the management for we don't think he could have done much for us ! We simply made another trip to the salad bar to fill in what we didn't eat from the entrees!
We don't talk bad to others about ruby Tuesday for we do enjoy the salad bar every time, but the entrees do need some attention in preparation and appearance! Thank you for you time, looking forward to hearing from someone on this topic, Lou myers
