These people are crooks and need to be held accountable for fraud
They charge the US government for services for low income individuals and then will not provide any services
Safe link has low quality employees who by and large cannot speak english very well; cheap labor is the name of that game
One trick these incompetent employees perform is to act very nice, put the phone down next to their keyboard so you can hear it, and then let you think they are helping you when really they are waiting for you to hang up.
The last employee I spoke at safe link told me he was just following orders when I politely asked to have my service restored through this current global virus epidemic; result is still no service and he made me re-apply even though they had everything already replete with uploaded proof.
I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and this phone is my only communication to the outside World.
What they did to me is immoral, illegal, and fraudelent.
I am using this forum not for help from Safe Link Wireless but to expose them.

Safe link sold me upgraded phone that now they say is not compatible even so thier website claimed it was. After contacting customer service. My order ID no longer shows in thier system. It was there prior to the call...

havent been able to make or receive calls for 3 weeks, over 20 hours on hold and 46 calls, troubleshot my phone with customer service 14 times, tranfered and hung up on so many times i lost count, 4 times i made it to "Higher tech support" had troubleshoot each time then given instruction for phone and said theyd call me in 30 minutes and never called. today its 6pm and i been at it since 8am.
I too have had problems. Last month my account was closed and after dozens of phone calls resolved only to be closed again April 16! Here we go again...
I am also having a frustrating issue with SafeLink. Recently I received a email from SafeLink and requiring me to get a new sim card because they are switching to Verizon network for better service. I switch the new SIM card and my service is 2 bars and now I have no data service. Been on the phone for almost 2 hours and spoke to 5 or 6 people. I've been transferred several times and have been disconnected a couple times. I finally ask for a supervisor and on hold again with a 30 minute or more wait time. This is insane. Im starting to think this may discrimination because this is a lifeline account.
SAFLINK should be sued under class action
THEY MADE A DEAL WITH VERIZON as a result of that our phone does not work anymore. THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT AND ARE ASKING CUSTUMER TO buy a new one on their website.

Have been having problems with SafeLink for the last year. Spent numerous hours talking with Representatives. Now I don't receive my ACP 25 GB of data. Have to call every month just for them to tell me that they will give me 25 GB courtesy. August 2nd called again because of no data. Was told that I was D enrolled because of non-usage. I use it every month. I have to talk to them. Jump through the hoops and re-enrolled. Was told everything was good and then I would even receive a new phone. Here it is September 3rd. No data and no phone. I want my numerous hour spent with them back. But they are not God so they can't do that. So I want reimbursed monetarily. They need to be sued.
Just another note. Had surgery on 5/11. That evening had a complication, needed to get to ER. Don't have a vehicle, so needed an ambulance. Phone didn't work. Thought I was going to die. By the grace of god a friend stopped by. Lifeline! Death line if it doesn't work. Going downtown on Tuesday (holiday Monday) with my stack of papers, organized with dates, times, names, how many times I was transferred,what was accomplished, (nothing) and giving them to state representatives. No blanket complaint, separate one for each call. FCC,USAC,PPUC,BBB. While I am down there, may as well talk to a few lawyers about 5/11 trauma. Been nothing but nice when dealing with them up to this point. I am done.
I'm a disabled veteran living in Idaho. I live alone on a very limited income. I was approved by lifeli e to receive discounted internet service from safelink. For the first few months I received the discounted rate. And then they almost doubled it. And I'm sure the government is still paying them as well. I have complained and tried to get it sorted. Well not I've been completely disconnected because I can't afford to pay the outrageous rates they are charging me! I agree! They do need to be sued. And they need to have complete transparency so they don't do like they did last time, and just change their name and continue with the same dirty tactics.

Have been waiting for a airbill since 9/17 to send it back they keep stringing me along I have miss so many important message I have been with them since 2013 and the same number
I have been with safelink since August 2022. I have spent more hours with them using neighbors phones than I have spent on the phone with anyone.
My phone keeps stating "no network connection" and I have to call safelink in order to get connection again. It takes hours and sometimes this happens more than once a day.
The phone the sent me is the poorest quality phone I have owned since cell phones come out. I called them immediately after receiving the phone.
No matter where I go I only have one bar. I have dropped calls. The phone is under the Lifeline and ACP programs.
I was told by safelink they were replacing my phone with a Samsung phone of at least the quality of the original phone. They sent a Blu phone. I never activated it and am trying to return it to them.
When I try to log into my safe it says my phone number is not with safelink. It does not allow me to go in and try to up grade the phone.
A safelink employee said that we can not upgrade the phones although safelink advertise we can.
This company is ripping off the government and leaving disabled, elderly, low income people with no phone service.
