I have never heard of CreditSense and I had a 29.95 charge taken out of my acct. I never signed up for any credit report with ANYBODY because I know my score is good. This is a scam and if you charge again we're getting a new credit card.

ScoreSense.com refund for product didn't want

Jan 2013 signed up for free $1.00 credit list. Since them have been billed 3 months. Called above phone number and was told that the information on my bank statement was not their buiness. I read the complete line to the representative an then she accnoldged ith was them they biled us$29.95 for jan, feb and march. I called to cancell and was given a $1.00 refund. That was on april 3 2013. Called again on april 22, 2013 and denied a refund as I had already received a $1.00 refund. Told them we had not logged into this businss since the firts time in january so that would show we had'nt used this service. They could log onto this account and see there han't been any activity. They said they would send to another department for review and less than 24 hours we received a denial for refund. They are a rip off, please do not use this business, the two employes I spoke with were dumber than a stump. I asked for their mailing address and neither the supervisor or rep had difficulties with locating an address.in fact the cust rep I asked 2 times for an address then said what address and hold on i'll have to find it. How unprofessional! They are not at all professional in the business sense. I told the rep what I was calling in about then asked for a supervisor then rep asked me what I was calling about so she could tell the supervisor. Told her she should know why i'm calling as I just explained it to her. Total nightmare with this unproffesional. Totally disaster, would not recomend to my worst nightmare.

ScoreSense.com stole money from my credit card

I purchased a copy of my credit score from scoresense for $1, immediately after this they started an unauthorized draft of my account for $29.99 per month. I called to complain and they assured me it would be fixed and credited but it never happened, they continued to draft my account until I called the card company and had them blocked. These people are true scammers probably making millions with this theft.

ScoreSense.com money taken from my account

In my e-mail address a free 3- credit report offer appeared. I gave a debit for my bank for $1.00 refund. There was no information stating to me that the cost was any greater. Scoresense.com has taken $29.95 from my account without my permission. I requesed that scoresense.com take any more money out of my account and all information be cancelled and shreaded. I would like an e-mail sent to me stating your course of action. Thanks [protected]@bainbridge. Edu

ScoreSense.com unauthorized charges, false pretenses

I was logging into my bank website access when a pop up appeared with my bank's letterhead stating that there was a security breach and they didn't think my information was exposed, but if I was concerned there was a credit report available for a 7 day period for $1.00. Having been the victim of identity theft and seeing the bank letterehead, my heart beat my brain and I signed up and authorized the one time fee of $1.00 for both my account and had my husband sign up as well. I don't have routine purchases come off that credit card so I checked in in december of 2012 only to find there were 2 $29.95 charges per month (november 2012 and december 2012). None of which were authorized. So being a reasonable person I called the company, only to be put on a hard sales call one after another. It wasn't until I the 5th person (requesting supervisors) that someone actually said they would close the account. They offered some more garbage about reduced rates and I told them I was disputing the charges with my credit card company as the website pop up used false pretenses (bank letterhead) to gain my trust and produce an initial sale. I am working with the credit card company to process these charges as fraudulent based on the false pretense used to display the initial website. My credit card company originally told me they would not be able to refund the charges as it was my responsbility to read the fine print. I told the credit card company that I had emails from the "sign up" and although it does say in fine print that it is a trial period, that was 1) after the sale was final and 2) no price is listed for "after" the trial period. And no where in the "fine print" agreement that scoresense submitted to my credit card company does the agreement state what the fees are monthly, just that they are authorized to change them at will to whatever they want. Doesn't seem legal, and I will fight this company to the end. Scoresense is a scam.

ScoreSense.com illegal charge

I went to the score sense website to obtain a free credit report. They said that I needed a credit card to be sure that it was me. They would charge my credit card a $1 and then refund the $1.
They then charged my card $29.95. I have disputed this with my bank and will contact the (bbb) better business bureau.
We need to pull together with a class action law suit!

ScoreSense.com continued to take money after customer service told to cancel!

On january 11th, 2013 my boa card was charged a $1. Then I called and cancelled with their customer service dept, it was never processed. At the end of january I hadn't heard from them so I emailed them, still with no results. Then february 11, 2013 I called them again... The customer service rep said he cancelled it and put in a request to refund. On the 12th of february they charge me again, another $29.95. I called back today february 14th and talked to a woman, she said she cancelled the account and was submitting another request for refund that she could see where the 1st request was denied. Meanwhile I will dispute both charges on boa credit card bill. I told the woman to make note I intend to contact the bbb, the nc state attorney generals office, and fbi internet fraud bureau.

Scoresence.com was only authorized to deduct 1 dollar from my personal account for a credit check per website agreement, the sum of $29.00 was removed. This was a one time charge, This is a bad buisness pratice to decieve the public, If this complaint board website can do anything about this issue you have my thanks.

I agree. Scoresence took money out for one year; I had no idea because they NEVER sent a single notification of withdraw. I requested that they return 17 charges that were made without my knowledge and they refused stating "there is not enough information to prove fraud". This is a scam. I am on my second request. AMEX did credit two or three charges; going back only three months. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE!

ScoreSense.com free has financial requirements

I wanted to receive my "free" credit scores. I really thought this was free, as advertised. If a subsequent financial obligation is required, this is not "free". It would seem to me that is anything but free. Company reply will probably be "read the fine print". Why would anyone expect fine print to be involved for something free? This is very misleading and appears tricky, a $29.95 monthly "subscription fee attached as a requirement contradicts definition of free. I have instructed my credit card provider to block any further charges! I do not want this membership and really did not expect any fees to be connected to this so called free offer.

The same thing happened to me, and they won't refund my money. I think this is crap and they should refund my money because I only authorized for $1 and not for the $29.95, and I called them and requested a refund and they only refunded my $1 back and would not refund my $29.95. no need to dispute with your bank, most of the times we open up two accounts one for ourselves and one for a significant other, these are individual account and have no relation to one another except for the credit card used to activate, you might have cancelled one within the trial period but not both, this is the most common mistake we make when enrolling into this type of services. this was in fact my case

ScoreSense.com Difficulty of Cancellation

In October, I went on the SCORESENSE.COM site due to an ad of $1 credit report. Ten days later, there was a charge of $29.95 in my bank account. I contacted them and had to communicate with three representatives because the first two representatives said they were able to cancel my account as of the date that I requested them to do. They asked me to call back in a month and even extended one more month of free service for me. The third representative final cancelled the account for me, and I had to contact my bank to request a "stop payment." It was unusual when they said they were not able to do the early cancellation of the account, and they already took my money. I told them that I did not want to use the account anymore even though I paid $29.95 for the month. I'm writing this complaint to send out alert to other people.

ScoreSense.com charged without permission

I checked my $1.00, then when reviewing my checking account on line, found I had been charged $29.95 for membership that I never signed up for. Looks like this company is very good at doing that to innocent people! I am very upset with them and would like my money refunded to me. This is fraud and they are attacking people in a unfair way! The world is getting worse every day and more and more people are becoming victims to it. I would like to be able to talk to these people who are in charge, but they always make you talk to someone who cant help you out.

ScoreSense.com Taking money for a service i never asked for

Score Sense emailed me a few months back telling me that my highly used pay pal acct. as well as many other acct had been hacked into. They informed me that they where offering there services FREE of charge for one month to see if anybody had been messing with my acct so believing this i agreed for the FREE one month, when i got to the part when it asked me for my credit card information i paused if its FREE then why do you need my credit card information i started to read the small print where it stated in writing that my credit card information would be used for VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY ONLY nothing was going to be taken out of my account. Then a month later my account was in the negative why because a charge for 29.95 was taken out of my acct. I call right away to stop what was going on i didn't sign up for that service i signed up for the FREE one, 3 phone calls and 120.00 dollars later it took my very upset very forthcoming boyfriend have somebody turn a claim over to the refund dept. OK they have a whole refund department kinda should tell yeah something. We where told we would hear something by the end of the week we will see.

This is shameful that companies has to trick you and then charge you. I agree to pay for two credit report, one for my husband and one for myself. This is all the service that I wanted or had requested for. I see that my account has been charged, which I don't actually understand and the number that is listed, the office is closed. I don't see how someone agree to this one there was nothing explained or mention to me about monthly services. Then to come to find out that I am not the only that this has happen to makes it that much worse. How can a company seriously get away from this.

I called and cancelled my the service that I was recieving from the 3-1 credit reporting system that is accessed from Creditreport.com. The customer service person whom I spoke to gave me a very hard time cancelling my service by telling me what would be losing. I did not use this service so there was no reason for me to continue to have $11.95 taken out of my account each month. She told me I would still have services until May 19, 2017. Since I had already paid for the month I decided to look at my account once more time. I never at anytime agreed to pay an additional $29.95 that was charged to my account because I went on their site. At no time did it ask me if I was sure that I wanted to do this transaction. I did not know that I would be charged for it. When I called them to see why I was charged the people whom I spoke to were very rude. They told me it was my fault and would not refund my money. When I ask them to please state on my account that in the future there was to be no money taken from my account they began to talk over me. I requested this to be notated three times and each time they would talk over me. I would cauti0n anyone from using this service.

I have received additional charges for a one-time credit report. If you can stop this please do. I have downloaded my credit report one time about July 2017. I had no need to download anything after that. Please, if you could re-emberse me for the unauthorized debits, I would appreciat it. AccountNow ADA Discrimination Class Action Lawsuit

AccountNow debit cardA California man who is unable to effectively communicate verbally after suffering a stroke has filed a class action lawsuit against prepaid debit card company AccountNow for refusing to communicate with him by email and insisting he deal with the company over the phone.

Plaintiff Richard Halavais accuses AccountNow of a “systematic pattern of discrimination, ” unfair business practices and civil rights violations refusing to accommodate his requests by email to secure a new AccountNow card. Halavais is “unable to effectively communicate verbally” due to a stroke, the class action lawsuit says, and receives his disability checks – his only source of income – though an AccountNow prepaid card. He contacted the company to order a new card because his old one was due to expire, and explained that he could not talk on the phone due to a stroke that left him disabled and unable to effectively speak.

According to his class action lawsuit, AccountNow's refusal to accommodate his disability left Halavais without access to his disability checks and forced him to hire an attorney to help him get a new AccountNow card. When he did get the new card, he was unable to withdraw money from an ATM with his old PIN and was locked out after several failed attempts to get money. Halavais first contacted AccountNow by email on May 21, and did not resolve the issue until July. By that time he was in a rest home and unable to pay for his medicine and medical bills, the class action lawsuit says.

"On July 10, 2017 plaintiff was finally able to access the money deposited into his account, but only after numerous phone calls by Plaintiff's counsel, because Defendant refused to aid Plaintiff by e-mail, " the AccountNow class action lawsuit states.

"Throughout this entire course of events, even after the risk management department was involved and informed of the situation, Defendant did not present any alternative methods of communication by which Plaintiff could have resolved the issues with defendant."

The class action lawsuit is seeking damages for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Unruh Civil Rights Act and unfair business practices.

A copy of the AccountNow ADA Class Action Lawsuit can be read here.

The case is Richard Halavais v. AccountNow, Inc., Case No. 12-cv-1921 BEN RBB, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.

Dear Mrs Her:

There was probably a terms of service (TOS) which described that in order to receive the report you were enrolling in a subscription service, right?

You should ONLY get your free credit reports through the US government website which is http://www.annualcreditreport.com, you are allowed one per year through that website. You can also request them directly through the credit reporting agencies: www.transunion.com (Transunion), www.equifax.com (Equifax), and www.experian.com. You are ONLY charged if you want to know your credit score. If you only want the report, you aren't charged.

Mrs. Her you have to be aware and read all the "fine print" because that is where all the trouble comes from. People think it's "free" but don't read the terms of service. Then they think they've been ripped off, but it had on the website right there that you are enrolling in their program.

ScoreSense.com unauthorized recurring charges using my credit card

I did not authorize them for any charge. They have been charging my credit card for $29.95 each month for the last three months. I have no idea how they got then number. I certainly did not authorize them for charging my card anything. I would like a refund of my money and a penalty to them for such fraudulent behavior.

ScoreSense.com unauthorized charges

My wife keeps an eye on my checking account. She just informed me that Scoresense has just taken money out of my account without my approval. I have gone to all three of the credit reporting agencies and cancelled my accounts. I will be going to the Federal Trade Commission to report them. They have to have a license to operate in the U.S., andsince this is done over the internet, it has to do with interstate commerce.

I called customer service for my debit card today and found out that I have a negative balance of $5.38. Confused, I went into my account to check the transactions to see if I was forgetting a purchase. Nope. Everything was fine. That is until I reached the date [protected]. There is a $1.00 deduction and then 75 cents almost every day after Aug. 22nd. I had never heard of ScoreSense.com until today and I had to look them up to see what it was. I do not give out my information over the internet and very careful when I use it in a store or getting gas. I had a balance of $.88 left on my debit card and I want it back and the daily charges dropped. I am on a very tight budget and I want this cleared up now!

I also used Scoresense to get a credit report for myself and my wife. They advertised it as a free service. They ended up charging me $1.00 for each credit report. Then one week later, they charged me two charges of $29.95, totaling $59.90. This is very underhanded! Watch out for this company. What a nightmare!

If you have started a class action, please let us know how to
be included. I am not a member of this board,
so am not able to set up a profile.

I am on a page as 'girl interrupted' on March 30, 2012.

Still having a run-around with these people at ScoreSense
and am debating the IC3.gov route.

Also, BBB .. debating that, too. Definitely will have my
bank dispute this scamming company.

They did not send an official cancellation of 'membership'
number but did give on over the phone. I was never a member
and am resenting the entire rip-off. It would be different if I had
actually signed up and forgotten to cancel...but I never signed
up.. one should be able to check a box stating "I agree"
and there was no box like that.

What a scam! This type of tactic should be illegal. The company score sense did nothing to earn $19.95. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau and contacting visa to file a dispute. As far as I am concerned a theft was committed by score sense.

What a ripoff and when I called to ask about the charges, the gentleman stated "if I had a $ for every call he received with people stating they didn't know when they signed up for free credit report that they were signing up for a membership with Scoresense, he would be a millionaire". Refused to credit my account, only cancelled my "so-called membership" when I insisted that I was not, nor had I ever been interested in their service!
