Aug. 18, 2023 I submitted my moving expenses hoping it will be reimbursed with in the time frame Sirva stated. 10 days later still on "Pending" (Sirva app) status so I decided to asked for help from Sirva consultant that was assigned to my relocation. SIRVA Canada I worked with a Sirva Canada affiliate to move my things across Canada

I worked with a Sirva Canada affiliate to move my things across Canada. Before the move, I purchased insurance for missing or damaged items. At this time, the moving representative noted in all of his years, he has never heard of a claim being made. Upon delivery a few items were missing and a computer (which was packed by the moving staff) was damaged. My claim for these missing items was denied.

SIRVA Canada In October I moved from Chilliwack to Vancouver Island

In October I moved from Chilliwack to Vancouver Island. My furniture went into storage for 7 weeks. We used *** When my furniture arrived there was some damage but I was insured so I thought I would be fine. My complaint: The company took 8 weeks and a phone call to acknowledge the claim but expect me to replace everything in 30 days They will only provide half the claim money until bills are submitted - *** They won't pay for repair even when the item cannot be replaced because it was custom and the business no longer exists They are bullying me to take settlement but are not giving fair value - they send checks when I haven't agreed They do not have the courtesy to pick up the phone or to have a supervisor call me when requested They won't pay for beds not put together properly because we didn't ask (I can accept that - but really where is the goodwill when you have messed up so badly?)

SIRVA Canada We had hired *** which turns out being a broker for sirva/North American Van Lines

We had hired *** which turns out being a broker for sirva/North American Van Lines. We were quoted $95.14 per 100 lbs but Sirva is charging us $110.81 per 100 lbs. They refuse to adjust the rate according to our contract. We were assured that that our belongings would be at our new place on the 16th of August but no later then the contract timeline of August 26. On August 9, the day after they picked up our belongings in Ontario, I received an email stating that they would deliver after the August 26 last deadline day. I replied and never got a response back until August 23. Originally on the email they said that our belongings would be in regina on the 30th(3 hours from my new house). Shortly after on August 30th we were told that they were picking up our stuff in Ontario on the 30th with expected date of delivery on September 7. As they know we have had to buy products and furniture as we have a medically fragile child because of there inability to fulfill their contract.

SIRVA Canada My employer contracted SIRVA to conduct my move from Quebec to Manitoba

My employer contracted SIRVA to conduct my move from Quebec to Manitoba. My goods and effects were loaded on 7 July and taken to a warehouse the same day. The contract had the delivery in MB being no later than 16 July. On 22 July we were advised our load had not moved and was still in QC. On 27 July SIRVA finally emailed back and stated they were looking for quotes from third party carriers and would update us when they had more info. On 3 Aug SIRVA responded to another inquiry, and said there was nothing they could do. SIRVA still has our goods and effects in their warehouse in QC and will provide no other update regarding their plan or delivery. The worst part is that SIRVA also advertises on their website that due to their large network of companies, they can handle moves during busy moving seasons with no interruption to services, which is a complete lie as it is the opposite of our current situation.

SIRVA Canada In June , Sirva completed my move from Sydney NS to Halifax NS, with a pending damage claim.

In June my relocation from Sydney NS to Halifax NS was completed by Sirva with damages. The movers ate our food, watched TV, dragged boxes across our table, used metal dollys on our brand new home denting the hardwood floors, broke food processor, damaged sofa and kitchen table. The claim has so far addressed all items except the most important, the Hardwood Floors. Sirva keeps sending back the same man for the floors. He is a very nice and respectable man, but uses paint kits and a heat hair dryer style blower to resolve scratches. This worked on most of our kitchen table, but not the top where we can see black paint lines so we were reluctant to let the same man work on the Hardwood Floors with paint and a hairdryer. When we keep emailing back and forth with Cindy of Sirva's Claims Department, she is only willing to send back the same man with the paint and hair dryer, our floors were trashed with the Metal Dolly's. We identified a proper solution from the installer of the hardwood floors and hardwood stairs, but Cindy at Sirva will not explore this option for resolution. We are pleased with all other damaged item repairs with exception of the floors/stairs. We simply want them fixed. Thank-you

SIRVA Canada My furniture was badly damaged during the move

My furniture was badly damaged during the move. I submitted a claim for repairs of 4 items and was told by the delivery person that they would be repaired in full, I just had to submit the claim and take photos. They have offered a paltry amount based on (1) lying the damage was pre-existing (2) deliberate misrepresentation of the weight, and (3) saying that I voluntarily signed off on a 60 cents max per item per lb. (1) I have signed documentation that this damage was made by the movers. The driver (***) loaded, unloaded and recorded the new damage on the unloading forms. He acknowledged the new damage and stated it would be repaired in full. The damage was a broken leg of dresser, dented table leaf , gouged TV stand, and chipped table top. The first two of these items have no damage listed on the loading report, the other two have scratches listed. There are very specific codes for gouges and chipping that they did not use because it was not present at loading. (2)They refuse to get the accurate weights which are much greater than they 'estimate' by a substantial margin. (3) They tell me I signed the form that specifically limits the damage to 60c per pound per item. This was not what the salesperson represented and was not what the driver/unloader told me. The 'agreements' comprise of some 31 pages and 50 signatures. One such small box had a clause with two options - I have to tick one option and then sign and date to accept. I did not check that box and I did not date it. We had a contract as sold by your salesperson (***) and delivery person (***), that the damage would be repaired in full. I did not check that box to select an option to limit damage payout. ***They refuse to discuss and just closed the file with a take it or leave it offer of $130 despite me spending $12k on the move.
