I have seen a lot of complaints about UPS and I have no doubt in my mind that they are correct. I work for UPS. They are the most self-centered, dishonest and discriminatory company as far as I know. As with lot of companies, the phrase “who you know is who you blow” applies here too. Having the unpleasant experience of being in the “pool” for part-time management promotion, it seems that all the candidates that are hired are young, inexperienced and should we say... less intelligent. And these people are managing the real people who are handling your packages and making the money for the upper management who decides where it is wasted... upper management of course!
It is funny to see when they are pinching minutes from the occupational (i.e. hourly employees) in order to save money and shoveling it to the management. But hey, that’s free enterprise procedure.
After having the experience of several years at UPS, they have literally liquidated my loyalty. I use to be loyal to UPS and do my job to the best, but today work is still done to the best, but the loyalty is gone. And this is due to the discriminatory and dishonest way of dealing with people. I got screwed in the process and I’m sure there are more to count. If I may say something that UPS did right, was the color they chose. It is brown, and it reflects the color of ###. BIG ###.
The troubles at UPS are endless. Employee turnover is horrible and since they are treating the people as they are, word gets around and eventually you run out of employees. But that is something that they are not concerned. Also, UPS wants to be the “safety organization of the world” but anything that is unsafe is usually ignored and even if acknowledged, it takes forever to fix it. So when you say UPS, might as well say “ooops...” .
So for all the people out there, you are NOT stuck with UPS. Use FedEx, USPS (United States Postal Services) or DHL. I was actually shocked to find out that FedEx “ground” is CHEAPER than UPS after they bought out a low cost package carrier. FedEx is more reliable in my mind and I cannot remember having complaint about them. Postal services have more alternatives than ever before and you can always check DHL references on-line. I am personally applying a job at DHL just for the challenge. I know that I can contribute to them or any other company more than I can to UPS. Knowledge increases the pain they say, and now I know what they meant by that. So please be noted that I do not like UPS just for the reason that I do know the truth.
Peace, Upser.
UPS stole my Valentines flowers!
That's right. They purposely delivered them to the wrong person at the DOCK at Home Dep0t, instead of the specific person and the specific desk !
UPS denied my claim of $50 and so I'm going to persue this with a complaint to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau
I suggest everyone do this!
Maybe then that class action lawsuit will go through and the thos scums can pay us all back who were ripped off!.
UPS has had posession of my package since February 5th and still has offered me no guarnateed delivery date. Their only excuse is poor weather conditions. Yes, we have had snow but the roads have been cleared for days and by the way...IT IS WINTER!(UPS drivers are not competent enough to drive unless it is sunny?). I offered numerous times to pick up the package myself even if it invloved driving over an hour. No, no deliveries and no pick ups. I warn you, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY USING UPS! They are the most unprofessional, disorganized and slow shipping service in the industry.
I spend approximately $50-75, 000 with UPS each year. We have encountered numerous problems in guaranteed delivery and claims for refund due to failure are always denied. Over the past several years, UPS has become deceptive and unethical in the processing of legitimate claims. I recently had a parcel completely flattened, and was told that the packaging was insufficient.
I just received a package sent to me on March 2007. Yes, 2 years and 11 months ago. It was delivered to the wrong address and by chance delivered to me today. Not by you, my daughter attends the school it was sent to and someone who saw the package gave it to her. I called the local UPS office and they nothing about this. I had to re-order the documents and of course pay for them again, I assumed the mix up was with the issuer of the documents, not you.
I am very disappointed in you.

one of the worst companies Ive ever saw. with all the pages of complaints mine are the same. I will not allow anyone to send me anything ups. I cant for the life of me understand why upper management wont do something about these prolbems. They must be goverment opperated, how else could they remain in business.
I've been noticing a steady decline in service from UPS, and so Upser's message here is of particular interest to me because it offers a good explanation for why a previously stellar company now seems to run their business like the mafia.
I have noticed several packages have been tampered with prior to making it to my doorstep (that's when they make it to my doorstep - sometimes the UPS guy cannot be bothered and leaves the package in my driveway). On occasion, a package that has clearly been opened and resealed (they don't even bother to hide it!) has products that I ordered missing from it. I'd give the company the benefit of the doubt in favor of blaming the delivery guy, except that I am a CSR for a big box store, and every day I take calls from angry customers who have complaints about their UPS shipping that are similar to my complaints. I've also noticed an increasing trend in customers specifically asking whether or not the company I work for ships UPS - not to ensure that they get UPS, but to ensure that they don't!
If you have a choice, do yourself a favor and ship FedEx or DHL, or give the U.S. Post Office another chance. USPS has gotten a lot better lately, and they would certainly be grateful for your business, given how they've been stomped by the competition over the past few years. They're a darn sight better than UPS these days, I'd say they're a best kept secret at this point in time.
Those are the words you hear from UPS when they fail to provide the service you paid for. Every UPS rep I talked to tonight had the same thing to say about their failure, "I'm so sorry Sir", that phrase must be in their training manual.
I have a plane to catch at 6am Friday morning for a project in the Caribbean and I ordered some specialized tools that I need for the project to be delivered 2nd Day Air. Tracking number 1Z1268710210003668.
When the UPS truck made a delivery today, I asked about this package and the driver said, "it's not on this truck, maybe another truck will be coming."
I called UPS customer service around 4pm today and asked about deliver status. The UPS rep said "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today, they have until 7pm to deliver."
6:30 and no UPS delivery, so I called UPS customer service and they tell me the same thing "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today, they have until 7pm to deliver."
10:30 I call customer service and they tell me "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today." I asked the rep if he really believes there are UPS trucks out at 11pm delivering packages, he answers "I'm so sorry Sir."
I ask the rep if UPS will ship the package to my destination in the Caribbean at their expense. "I'm so sorry Sir, but there will be an additional $271.00 charge for this."
So, it will cost me an additional $271.00 for their failure. WTF, if I ran my business like that I would be out of business in a week.
My shipping advice - FedEx.
Hi, it's Arby again (84 days ago?
Didn't have a choice; shipper only uses UPS (idiots), and the exact same stuff, said I wasn't home while I was home all day waiting.
Looks like UPS Drivers have a phobia about delivering to an apartment/condo complex (operative word?).
All other carriers deliver, FedEx, Canada Post, the pizza guy.
Last time, I told UPS about the CCTV and never seeing the guy until he was told to go to come back...either he has a short memory about the CCTV, or it's policy with ALL drivers.
This makes the fourth day of waiting for only 2 UPS shipments to arrive.
CAN WE CHARGE UPS FOR WASTED TIME?
ADDENDUM:
I've got it!
The UPS drivers must think it's a waste of their time to wait in an elevator.
I wonder what they do at a red traffic light?
It's ineresting, too, that when you read comments from the administration regarding these UNDELIVERABLE messages (via the tracking window), they add something that states that the delay was due to a decision made by the receiver..
Last time they said it was becuase "I" requested an address change, this time they say it's because, "I" asked them to 'HOLD' the package for a day...(WOW)!
That way, 3, 6, or 12 months from now, during a performance review, UPS IS a STELLAR compnay! They'd clearly be making 100% of deliveries if it wasn't for the customer changing their minds ALL the time.
YEEEESH!
I am very dissapointed in UPS. I ordered an iPod from Apple, with engraving. My brother ordered one too, and got his a little later than expected. My order, however, has not moved for FOUR entire days, even after a departure scan that was almost 36 hours ago. It is currently 8:52 PM in Shanghai, and it has been over 5 days since anything has moved. I am VERY dissapointed in UPS, and I doubt that the customer service would be any good if I complained.
NOTE: There is no "Weather Delay" or anything to even provoke a possible delay. UPS has bad shipment, and I will not trust it with anything in the future.
Oh yes- and WHY exactly on the UPS site is the United States the FIRST COUNTRY? Who cares if they dominate the world, they do know how to scroll down a box, and this ridicules your international customers.
I had one experience this morning with UPS that I thought was rather rude. I had almost called to complain about it. A UPS driver had delivered an important Overnight Package and instead of walking up to me with it - he surprised me with an underhand throw! Then, with a disgruntled look he said "thank you". I mean WTF! The experience had put me in shock! I figured the guy hadn't been happy, must have been having a pretty bad day to pull a stunt like that with a customer.
I get nervous whenever i have a package shipped via UPS. One time I was expecting a guitar to be delivered to my house but somehow it found its way to being delivered to a bank just a few blocks from my house. Keep in mind this is before the Christmas holidays. After finding out where the package went. I attempted to call the bank's mail room dept who didn't have a recollection of any package delivered. After numerous irate calls to ups, i was finally reimbursed for my payment of my guitar. Also keep in mind, this is one of many botched delivery encounters i had with Ups. This is just one of the most Unusual encounters i ever had with them. I have a great respect for the US Postal system than any corporate based delivery service on the planet. I have never had a bad experience with USPO which i would rate top notch. I REALLY HATE UPS BIGTIME!
Thanks for sharing. This company is extorting Canadians.
My friend in the USA payed $35 for USP Ground service to ship a box to us in Canada. When the package arrived my wife has handed a bill of $49.56 for "import charges".
This same box to the him cost us $8 with Canada Post. These "import charges" or "brokerage fees" should be told to the sender so he can learn how grossly overpriced the service is.
I'm glad we live in the Information Age with the BBB and social media to raise awareness of hidden fees that are larger then those given at the time of sending.
Make a good day,
Jason
I worked at UPS now for about five months. Things stared to get slow. So they put me on-call. Now, I oncall, dont they call you when needed? That is what i thought. I was looking threw job finders and found my job!?!?!? I like to know how i could be on call, and not get called to fill my own shoes?!?!? I never got a call to even say they where not taking me back!
Go to some one else. your packages are better off, and in better hands!Trust me!
I HATE UPS, and will NEVER use their service again!
They never let me know up-front that they require a buzzer number for apartment building in order to deliver packages door-to-door. AFTER I've requested to ship & paid for the full door-to-door service fee. They call and tell me that I don't have a buzzer #, so they won't deliver it to the door. Asked me to go pick up at their warehouse which is completely out of town centre (approx an hour drive from downtown Vancouver).
I asked if I can get it deliver to a near by UPS store, they told me to find out the store locations myself (they said they don't know where these stores are), and then I would need to pay EXTRA money!
I swear I will never ever use their service again, and don't recommend UPS to anyone.
I was a UPS customer in England until very recently. Right from the start I found their representative ill trained and unprofessional, I complained but to no avail. As the year we were with them progressed they kept moving the goal posts and slipping in additional charges, the invoices were the most complicated we had ever seen and drove our accountant mad. When we had invoices in disputes they refused to honor the direct debit agreement and took the money from our bank anyway. We have been in business for 30 years and have never before experienced such abysmal customer service, which seemed to go right through every department of the company. The problem is with UPS they think they are a lot better than they are and so don't even try to improve. We are so glad to see the back of them they cost us such a lot of money.

I purchased an antique painting from Kevin Stone Antiques at 3420 Magazine St, New Orleans, for $2240. Mr. Stone took the painting to UPS Store #4134; their job was to pack and ship it to me in Belvedere, CA. UPS guarantees that the item will arrive in good condition when they do the packing, and that was the case here.
UPS billed my credit card $250.31 on 2/12/10 for the packing, the box, and the shipping. The painting arrived with many instances of damage to the frame, and one instance of damage to the painting itself. Many fragments of the gold paint from the frame were found loose inside the box after it arrived.
I contacted Laurie at the UPS Store in New Orleans and told her about the damage. She took my claim information and asked me for a copy of my purchase invoice for the painting, which I faxed to her. Subsequently, I was contacted by UPS in Northern California about the claim. I emailed numerous digital photos of the painting, showing the damage, to UPS-Northern California. Thereafter, when I asked UPS-Northern California for a resolution to the matter, they said I would have to look to the UPS Store that did the shipping for satisfaction.
After sending the photos (approx. 12 photos in all) I left two messages for Laurie at UPS Store #4134, on March 30th and April 2nd. She did not return either of my calls. On April 28th, I filed a complaint with BBB-Greater New Orleans. BBB has informed me that UPS Store #4134 did not provide any response to the complaint and their deadline for responding has expired.
UPS is a worldwide company and it is because of the corporate reputation that I placed faith in their guarantee and used their service for this shipment.
Since UPS Store #4134 has not honored their commitment, UPS World Headquarters needs to step up to the plate and make good on their company's guarantee. I have been charged $700.00 for having the painting and frame repaired. I have disputed the $250.31 that I paid for the shipping and packing on my credit card; this leaves a net amount of $449.69 that I am due from UPS. I have filed a complaint with BBB-Greater Atlanta and am awaiting restitution.
To the CEO of UPS. Before you post an opinion editorial in the Wall Street Journal about how high your capital gain taxes are going to be(20% is cheap especially when you didn"t have to pay anything upfront) I suggest you train your drivers not to block the main entrance to our business or the drive thru for our restaurant on a busy Friday at 1:00. When there are two entrances to a business the secondary less used entrance should be mandatory unless it is in the rear of the building, security issure, etc. I know, your're time is more important than ours when serving customers.
yes ups is suck.
i allwas work with fedex but i bought from internet something and they work with ups and i did understand one more time how much they are sucs. they shiped two times and i work until 9pm and nobody is athome and i called them keep packet in office i will pick up but they shiped one more time and they sent back at the same day no call no notice or no wait.

Wow, just wow. Hey there junior, sorry you didn't get your iPod from Apple on time...
First off I'm sorry you are buying anything from Apple, secondly do you seriously think you should be buying one that is being shipped from overseas? If you have a tracking number and some more details to your complaint I could believe it but for now you are farting on deaf ears. Next time buy in the United States and you won't have to worry about messing up lines like "Who cares if they dominate the world, they do know how to scroll down a box, and this ridicules your international customers."
I made a purchase online from an individual. I paid for the purchase and shipping from TX to OK. When it arrived the item had been dropped denting it in several places. I went online and filed a claim. I received a call from UPS to package it back up for a carrier to pickup for inspection. UPS picked it up claiming no liability and returned it to TX. After numerous calls and letters, I was told repeatedly it was procedure. I felt like they basically stole this item from me, they were only suppose to examine the damage. However, they sent it back to TX and refused to send it back to me. Thank goodness the individual I bought it from was willing to return it to me. UPS required me to pay for shipping it back to me again. Upon opening the box it has once again been dropped and damaged further. I will never ship with UPS again and warn anyone who files a claim be prepared to loose your item!
NO MORE UPS for me!
I needed an original birth certificate for ID to get driver's license in another state. The order was pricessed within a day online and shipped overnight (which I had to pay another $17.50 in addition to shipping charges for one page document in an envelope.
Usually FedEx brings any documents to my apartment directly...Unfortunately the company I ordered my birth certificate through used UPS or better known as Useless Personal Service..
My overnight mail was not delivered to me but rather dropped off with a bunch of boxes to the main office of the apartment complex. So there my overnight mail sat for three daysss... I had NO knowledge of it being there- I am furious with UPS for not providing the overnight delivery service to ME! No more UPSSSSSS
Delivery Services, UPS poor service by UPS
I live in Virginia and work for a company in New York. I have to send packages consisting of billing invoices every few weeks. When I have an invoice ready to ship, I schedule a pick-up at my home, and usually send it 2-day air.
The Department that handles my invoices will be shutting down in a few days for vacation, so if my company wants to get paid, we need to have our invoices in ASAP. Knowing this, I scheduled a Saturday pick-up and chose one-day air service so that the package would be delivered today, Monday.
By 10PM Saturday, the package was still sitting there, never picked up. As customer service was closed by then, I had to wait until 7AM this morning to call. When I did, I was told by a very apologetic gentleman that he had put out an emergency call stating that the package MUST be picked up by 10AM. He assured me that the package would arrive in NY by end of business today. I asked him if there was a confirmation number, in case there was still a problem, so that I would have recourse to prove that I had been told it would be delivered today. He told me no, that it was UPS's mistake, and that he was gauranteeing it would be there today, because they HAD to do it.
The package was picked up by 10AM, as promised. However, when I tried to track it in the system, I could not, because it had not been scanned in yet. I called customer service again to make sure that it would be there by this afternoon. The woman I spoke to told me she could not help because the package had not been scanned in, so there was no way for her to track it, either. But she assured me THREE times that since it was picked up on Saturday for one day delivery, it would arrive today. And I explained to HER three times that no, the package had NOT been picked up on Saturday, that was the whole problem. Finally, I gave up on her, as she was useless, and went back to checking the tracking number periodically.
As of 5:30PM, my boss informed me that the package had not been delivered, and there was still no tracking info, because the package had not been scanned in. I called customer service a third time.
The woman that I spoke with told me that there was no way the package would have gotten there today unless an express emergency courier was used, and since I was not transferred to that department by the initial man I spoke to this morning, one obviously had not been used, and thus my package was most likely still sitting in my UPS processing center, not in NY.
When I told her that the man I had spoken to guaranteed my package by the end of the day, she said that was impossible, as the express courier was not contacted. All she saw noted in my file was that I had been promised the package would be PICKED UP today, not delivered. I told her that obviously they needed to go over their delivery policies with their customer service staff, as I had been guaranteed same-day delivery. She replied that all customer service operators are well aware of their policies. And I told her that that was obviously not the case, or I would not have been given my worthless guarantee.
After going back and forth a few more times, I finally told her that I expected a refund at the very least, seeing as now my company will be without a much-needed $45, 000 for a month. She told me that that was impossible.
That was when I hung up. So, after UPS's failure to pick up my package as scheduled, false promises to deliver my package in one day, being given the run-around by three customer service agents and neither they not I knowing where my package was for the better part of the day, I can't even get my company a refund for the $63 delivery and pick-up charges. Talk about the final indignity. And that's not even counting my having to deal with a less-than-pleased boss and having to explain to him why he's out $45, 000 for the foreseeable future.
My company uses UPS because we don't have many other options. But this experience has completely soured me on this company. One screw-up I can forgive. But forgetting my package, lying to me, making excuses, not getting it where it needed to be on time, and then not even having the decency to offer a refund are inexcusible in my book.
UPS, you need to re-train your employees as to how to offer actual customer service, as well as to go over your policies and rules, so that agents are not giving out false information. Or you could just pick up your packages in the first place. But obviously that's expecting too much from a company that derives its livelihood from delivering packages.
I had problems with UPS too and they are terrible as a company. They destroyed a lot of things in my packages and their excuses are that packages are not well packaging:

I have paid USD $2.052, 00 for three packages. It was an absurd.
Follow attached the products photos.
They are terrible.

I was left an infonotice on a friday saying they tried to deliver and would redeliver on Monday. Well on that Monday when I got home from work I looked for another notice because I hadnt see them. When there wasnt one I tracked the package and it said it was delivered. I contacted customer service and they said yes it was at 2 30 to some "name" Ok? So I have 3 neighbors in an upstairs apt area where you have to be buzzed in.. none of them have that name none of them know anyone by that name!? So I contact them they say it was file a claim so I filed a claim twice! Then went to check that it said there was none.. contacted customer service again nope there is no cliam but their service says it was delivred I KNOW but not to ME! So I have been sending notes and getting the same thing over and over and over.. file a claim claim wont file.. contact the people track it? How can i track it? You said it was delivered yes but to some strange whoever that walked up to your driver and he said ya sure here take it! I get nothing from these people but the same cut and paste "it was delivered to such and such on 7/11. Im so mad about this.. I mean the next time I order something how am I gonna trust that your drivers wont just hand it off to any bumb on the street that can make up a name! I want answers!
So many of my deliveries are sent to the wrong house, my neighbors 3 homes up the street have to drag my packages down to me, then there are packages that claim they were delivered but probably to a not so honest neighbor. My mailbox is clearly marked and my front door. How do I find out how to stop these careless postal drivers. I"m scared to order anything else online, in fear I won"t receive my goods. Any info. would be appreciated.
My first package was delivered and sat on my porch with no signature, when anybody could have came on my porch and picked it up right after the UPS man lefted. My second package was stuffed in my mail slot on the security door with my ups next day air saver tracking # was ripped all up.
UPS lost our family vacation tickets! UPS offered NOTHING for the obvious mistake! I appreciate the lesson. I will NEVER use them again!
UPS= Ultimate suPer Slow
I was paying UPS 80 dollars for 2 day shipping, and it took one week to reach the state next to mine. Do they deliver with bicycle?
UPS main power button not working properly. Button is do not perform onoff operation due to the damaging of button.
I am surprised to find out problems with UPS are normal. I can not begin to list all the problems we have with them. We shipped some art and was told UPS can only ship it if they provided the box. Same jiffy Box I had but cost 3x as much and instead of our logo it had UPS logo. I declined and was warned they will not insure it if we didn't buy the box from them. We sent hundreds of these so I though this was polite ignorance. The customer received the box with a footprint in the center of it. He refused shipment and it was sent back. Of course the UPS agent gave me the "I told you so" speech. I asked him what size shoe he wore but he refused to tell me.
I moved my office from a rented office complex to a residential area walking distance from our chamber of commerce. We are now 1 mile from the highway. I thought it was a smart move. The city recognizes us as a business. So does fed-ex and our internet providers (they charge more for same service because we are a business.) We have posted business hours on both entry doors. UPS only delivers 1.5 hours after closing time. Normally no one is here to receive the shipment. Corporate office claims this is not their policy. They apologize and say they will fix it. Regional office told me they don't care what corporate office says they WILL NOT deliver during our posted business hours. I asked why they answered because your office is in a house. Corporate seems nice and caring but they don't deliver packages. Our Driver is very good also. He told me he drives by us almost every morning but his supervisor will not allow him to stop until the end of his route.
We just paid USPS $5232 in postage, FED-EX $625.72, UPS last month got $0 from us. Many of my suppliers still use them which is my problem.
I do wish UPS would start to do their job better. I would hate them to disappear and leave no competition for FED-EX. But as for our business, if it needs tracking it will be sent Fed-Ex. If not USPS. Who would believe the post office is better than private business?
I shipped 11 boxes from Nebraska to Texas. When received I found every single box was damaged. This wasn't just small damage. I had lots of breakage. And because this stuff was packed in bubble-wrap it was clear the contents was damaged not simply by rough handling, but this stuff had to have been THROWN and far. The sad thing was I paid thru the a-s to insure this stuff.
I talked with UPS TWICE, and they refused to do absolutely anything.
Of course as a result, I do not ship anything UPS any longer. I also inform various commercial sources that if they must ship UPS, I will not place an order.
I WENT TO PICKUP STATION AT 15 OREGON AVE., PHILADELPHIA, PA., AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A PENNSYLVANIA DRIVER'S LICENSE (NOT MY OUT OF STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE). I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS TEMPORARILY LIVING IN PHILLY. THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED PROOF OF ADDRESS, BUT I USED WORKPLACE ADDRESS TO MAKE SURE THERE WOULD BE SOMEONE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY PACKAGE UNTIL I FAXED HER PROOF OF THE DELIVERY ADDRESS, BUT THE WORKPLACE DID NOT HAVE A FAX MACHINE, SO I DROVE 45 MINUTES, WASTING TIME, GAS MONEY, AND WAS UNABLE TO GET MY PACKAGE.
I CALLED A UPS AGENT TO FIND OUT IF AN OUT-OF-STATE PICTURE ID DRIVER'S LICENSE WAS ACCEPTABLE AND HE SAID YES. THE AGENT ALSO DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I HAD TO GIVE PROOF OF "DELIVERY" ADDRESS
I ordered some stuff from wasington state, well it sat 4 days in a town 4 hours away. Then it sat, ina truck for twelve hours, because they wont deliver here this is there last stop. but the apartments get ups in the morning. So i started to use 3 day ship but unfourtunatly it is all a lie. instead of going to new mexico where I live. it went from washington state to kentucky and it has sat there for a day and a half. My package was shipped on friday. 3 days from them would be monday right wrong. My package will not be here untill thursday.Isnt that 6 days, as a word of warning dont pay for 3 day ship ups cant count
Doing business with a company that uses UPS services? Big mistake! In Toronto they have 1 centre for the entire city (!) which is located outside the city limit but have hundreds of UPS stores. Of course they say they can't leave your package to one of the stores for you the pick it up. Why not?! Why is it possible with Canada Post but not UPS? They are [censor]s!
I ordered an item on-line from the UK and selected the 3-5 days delivery service, for which I was charged the appropriate speedy delivery rate. The order was placed on Sept 29th! and to date I have not received my parcel.
I order from this website regularly and have had plenty of joy when the items were delivered by DHL. I cannot say the same about my experience with UPS. Not only is the parcel late but the SA office charged me extra! to have the item 'delivered', a delivery I am still waiting for...
I reached out to Theresa Hogg to enquire about the delay in delivery and the extra charge, this on 6 October. I have had no feedback from her whatsoever and am still waiting... for feedback as well as my parcel, for which I selected and paid for a speedy service...
How I miss dealing with DHL on days like this... Appalled does not begin to describe how I feel. Pure daylight robbery on the part of UPS. Where I can help it, I will NOT use their service EVER again...
i worked for ups part time they make you bust your [censor] for little money and they overwork you as much as possible to waste less money, they try to cut money on employees by making them do work in less amount of time by kicking thier [censor] with all that work.. ups are cheap [censor] [censor] ups, [censor]ing supervisosr talk [censor], only help when they want to.
My experience buying the Manduka Mat and Mat Sak was so painful that if I tell you all the problems you may not believe it happened. But, it did.
The package was to be delivered on Friday October 8 to my work address. I don’t work on Friday’s but I went to work especially to get my new mat. I kept checking the tracking and it said “package out for delivery.” At about 3:30pm I called UPS because our regular driver is usually there by mid afternoon. Also, I had noticed that the address of my shipment looked strange on the invoice from Online Fitness. For whatever reason someone had put the street number on the same line as the name of my company. The UPS representative said, “Oh, it’s OK. He’s a trained professional; he’ll be able to read what address it is supposed to go to. It will be delivered by 5pm.” At 4pm, the update on the package was “driver couldn’t read address, delivery rescheduled.”
I was livid. I phoned UPS and demanded my package be delivered to me. By now they mysteriously had the correct address as they did when I spoke to the first representative. They told me that the driver is at 144 Montague St. delivering packages if I wanted to run after him and get it. This address is a 15-minute fast walk from where I was but I said OK. I told her it would take me about 15 minutes and she said he would wait.
When I got to Montague St., I stood by the truck waiting for the driver to come back. My cell phone rings. “We’re sorry ma’am the package has never been with the driver. It is in our warehouse in Mayspeth.” I was dumbfounded. Why these people don’t know what they’re doing is beyond me. She said, “If you want to come get it, you can get here by 8pm.” I asked her if she was looking at the package. I also asked if it was TWO packages and she said “no, this is the only tracking number you gave me.” I tried to explain that on the system it showed two boxes with the order. She assured me no it was only one box.
So, since I live in NYC and don’t have a car, I took two trains, a bus, walked about a mile and waited in line for over 20 minutes but I got my package. As I was leaving the UPS warehouse and waiting for the bus that would take me to my two trains for the ride home (3 hours round trip) I decided to take the mat out of the box and put it in the mat sak for easier carrying. Oh, wait though--there is no mat sak!
I paid for the mat/mat sak package and only got a mat. I wrote the seller immediately. I have no more fight in me. It is the incompetence that is always shown with UPS and the bad luck of Online Fitness. The Online Fitness guy is always kind but that is starting not to mean anything to me.
I filed a claim with UPS because their computer system still says there were two packages! I also filed a claim with Amazon. I hope to get my mat sak next week once they figure it out. But, from now on I will order directly from Manduka (I’m a yoga teacher and will order a lot) and I will insist they send it ANY way but UPS.
