Vodacom double billing

My blood is really boiling because of vodacom. They are really taking me for a fool. I’ve logged service request five times for a double debit which they did and i’ve even send proof numerous times but yet the just closes the services request and don’t info me their reason of this. Ive even logged my issue before on hello peter and some consultant called after say it will urgently be resolved but his sole purpose was to lair back on the forum claiming its resolved which it isnt as i havent received my money back. After sending proof once again another consultant randall october has the odessite to say my bank must investigate while i sent the proof of these transactions. The already took the debit order for march and shouldn’t dare think touching my account come month end. I honestly can’t wait to port to a different service provided come end of march.

Vodacom repairs sham

My Sony Xpreia Z3 Bluetooth and WiFi stopped working in October 2015, I contacted Sony on numerous occasions doing a factory reset and phone repair -neither of which worked! Eventually on 04 February 2016 I'd had enough and dropped my phone off at the Vodacom repairs centre Liberty Midlands Mall where I was advised that my phone still fell under warranty + I had to sign a form confirming that I was aware of the hairline crack on the back cover which had occurred about 1 week prior to my dropping my phone off...BIG mistake on my part because this then became their escape route!

8 days later, upon my following up I was advised that due to the crack on the back cover my phone was deemed out of warranty and would NOT be repaired! I find this unacceptable - the phone itself still works which tells me that the hairline crack on the back has had NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on the phone itself let alone the functioning of the WiFi and Bluetooth!

No one is prepared to budge and I am so unimpressed that I can assure Vodacom that I will not be renewing my contract OR the other 3 contracts we hold with Vodacom due to this incident - I find it unacceptable to be strung along under false pretense with Vodacom taking the easy route to get out of repairing my phone!

Prove to me that the hairline crack is the reason the WiFi and Bluetooth don't work and I will accept this explanation but until then WHO exactly do they think they are taking this route?

Your experience comes as a surprise to you maybe, well I am glad to assure you that this is the side of Vodacom that I came to discover myself recently. As big as the banners in ads, the promo's in sport and on televisions, thats how big the difference between them offering a contract and their service afterwards, non-existant. This company has grown so big that their ability to render an effective after sales services has dissapeared. This you see even when management get involve, thus confirming their incompitance. All thebest to you until you are done with them.

Vodacom complaint

My day started, first in line at the vodacom shop @ vodaworld to get a new contract.

I had previously discussed with Bongiwe what was required for the upgrade and had returned with all the correct documents.

I had originally spoken to Bongiwe and since she started my application it only seemed fit that she complete it.

After being first in line all morning waiting i sat waiting for almost 40 mins, after getting rather impatient, i asked the manager, where she was?

The manager replied kindly that she was in the toilet. Bongiwe eventually arrived sweating profusely 40mins late.

The next two hours were spent watching Bongiwe try scan my bank statement. What an absolute joke! I eventually went back to the manager to request technical assistance on her behalf.

As soon as the technical guy arrived at Bongiwes desk, she claimed the document was all of a sudden scanned.

A further 1.5 hours were spent waiting for Bongiwe to confirm the acceptance of the contract. During this period after 20 min intervals i would ask Bongiwe if a response was yet received?

She blatantly ignored me, giving me the most disgusting look and leaving me feeling like a victim of racism. Having now waited from 8.30 am to 13.30 pm with no response other than being ignored i went back to the manager who checked my application status, which was actually instantly granted. He apologized profusely on her behalf. After then receiving great service from another lady, i proceeded to the till where Bongiwe approached me and apologized very insincerely.

I do not understand how a company of your stature can allow such poor service to commence, i came to vodacom as i believed you guys were on top of the communications.

I hope justice prevails, as nobody deserves to be treated as an inferior human regardless of color.

Please confirm this with the manager of the store, if any of this is unbelievable.

Vodacom contract, repair and customer feedback

I have a top Red VIP package with vodacom costing me over R 2000 per month plus 2 other contracts, I sent my Apple Iphone 6plus in for repairs as with covers and screen protectors sold by them I accidentally dropped it the screen cracked a couple of weeks later the speaker to hear stopped working . I sent it in for repairs the lend phone I was give does not work it is unable to charge. They tell me they can't repair Apple products then why on earth sell them if you can't fix them everyone drops their phone its happens yet my Samsung S4 fell its whole screen smashed to black didn't function at all that was no issue to repair free of charge yet VODACOM wants over 6000 rand to repair a speaker I never asked for the screen as it isn't the whole screen just a corner and still works perfectly .

Vodacom overcharging on unwanted services/ no customer feedback

On 22 Jan 2016 I called to cancel a 2Gig extra on my account which I did not want. I was told it is cancelled. On 1 Feb I received sms from Vodacom to say my 2Gig mymeg has been activated so I called once again and spent 20min on the phone. The escalated my query to team leader and I am still waiting a call. Logged complaint on their website and hello peter and received no call back yet. Now my debit order went off and got over charged with R350! This is called stealing and I will take this further... Not the 1st time they do this

Vodacom data usage

I have requested a detailed usage bill for number [protected] for the period 1/2 to 3/2/2016 on six occasions. I want to see how the data on this number was used as it is alleged that I used 3GB data in 3 days. I only read emails... I also requested that a limit is put on data usage for this number as I am unwilling to pay R3000 per month for their up to no standard products. I have not received ANY response from them. NOTHING. When I call customer services, there system is off. And it has been off now since I requested a detailled account on 3/2/2016. I am so fed-up with vodacom, I want to vomit every time I have to deal with them.

Vodacom not allowing an early upgrade when I have offered to pay penalties

I am only due an upgrade in April, I know, but my current phone is giving me technical issues and the old phones I have lying around at home are also not working properly and giving me challenges and issues, I have visited Vodacom and called and I have asked very nicely for an early upgrade and I am prepared to pay whatever penalties, I need to security and convenience of owning a phone that is working properly, I have been told I cannot upgrade early. There is no such thing as can't, I have been a loyal customer for years, I have always been offered other details with other providers and I have turned down, I have been loyal to Vodacom, I don't see why I should continue

Vodacom multiple repair bookings

06/01/2016 - booked Sony M2 Aqua in for repair : USB charger malfunction, did not want to charge, battery died due to no charge. Job nr [protected]. Received regular sum's to show status of repair. Received estimate quote and gave authorization for repair to be done.

11/01/2016 - receive sum's: "Job nr [protected] has been booked in and will be sent to the nearest Vodacom Repairs outlet."
sms 2 : "...has been received by Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley"
sms 3 : "...has been sent for a higher level repair to the Advance Repair Centre"

13/01/2016 - has been received at the Advance Repair Centre... in assessment process. 14/01/2016 still in assessment at Advance Repair Centre. 18/01/2016 ...currently in the repairs process.

Received no notice as to why the phone was booked back in. Visit to store revealed the speaker did not work on assessment and that's why the phone was given a second job nr. Must have been damaged in transit, and will be repaired by dealer or someone, but not for my account... Did not see my phone and had to give in to the circumstance...

22/01/2016 - received sms :"Your device has been booked in at Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley; sms 2 "...is currently in the assessment process at the Advance Repair Centre; sms 3 "...is currently in the quality assessment process; sms 4 "...has been dispatched from the Advance Repair Centre to Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley"

Sms 4 was received around 17:19. I was at the store around 17:45. My phone was not in store. Or ready for collection. Shop assistant was not very eager to assist me in the matter, because their head office from where the sms originate was already closed at 17:30 and that she could not phone and find out what the hold up was. The phone may still be at their head office till 29/01/2016. I then wanted to know why I received this wrong sms if they did not received the phone. I finally got her to explain that Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley are 2 different stores/places. The store where I was talking to her was in the Tygervalley Shopping Centre and the dispatch took place from Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley situated in Bellville/Durbanville area, their Head Office. She was unwilling to assist in any matter further, when she revealed that her manager was not at the store. I then wanted to lodge a complaint about the faulty sms's received and said she would do it the following day when her manager is back at the store.

29/01/2016 - received sms "Job nr [protected] has been booked in and will be sent to the nearest Vodacom Repairs outlet" (15:05)
02/02/2016 - sms :"...has been received by Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley" (14:25) sms 2:"...has been sent for a higher level repair to the Advance Repair Centre" (16:15)
04/02/2016 - sms :"...has been received at the Advance Repair Centre" (9:25) sms 2 :"...is currently in the assessment process at the Advance Repair Centre" (14:40)

And again, no phone call as to why my phone was booked in AGAIN! My husband phoned in and could not get a clear answer as to what the repair entailed this time, only that the phone is with the engineer and they don't know what's wrong. They will follow up and make it priority and get back to him. Needless to say, they never came back and we had to phone again. This time apparently the phone did not want to read the sim card...

Please tell me I'm not paranoid and that this is perfect way of repairing a phone that went in with only 1 fault and NEVER CAME BACK, WHEN IT DOES, WITH MULTIPLE FAULTS!

Vodacom fourways mall - bad in store service

I went in to the Fourways Mall branch 03-02-2016 at 9am to get more data for for my phone.
I have the phone which my dad gave to me a couple years ago and the account is in his name. When I arrived at the store I was taken to a guy who said I must go to another counter where the lady will help me, after a short wait the lady then said no she cant help I have to go back to the original guy I went to . This should already have been a warning sign for me on the incompetence of the staff there and I should have left, but I went to the guy.
He said he cant do the data for me as the account is in my dads name and I require a letter of permission from him, which is rubbish because I have done this for the past few months at another branch and never had this hassle and they did it there and then for me.
The guy at the Fourways branch did load it for me but it was too late because I was so unhappy with the service delivery there, I certainly will NEVER step foot in there again, I only did because I was in the area, I will rather drive the extra distance and go to the other branch who gives much better service

I have completely had it with Vodacom!

I cannot talk to you anymore. The issue was resolved where you used the wrong reference number and you corrected it to the right reference numbers and now you are using the old numbers again and you cannot pick up on my payments.

I AM DONE. I AM OPENING A CASE OF HARASSMENT AGAINST YOU.

This afternoon I am approaching the Newspapers ( I shall write to every single newspaper I know of in this country). I will report my case number that I will obtain from the police station later as I will need it for my meeting with my attorney at the law firm where I work. Further, I will then contact the ombudsman.

You offer the absolute worst service and I have done everything EVERYTHING I can to resolve this matter.

This has become too serious!

Vodacom may prepare themselves for this, you will next hear from my lawyers.

Vodacom data usage bill unacceptable

Goodday,

I would like to query my interim bill for [protected].
I put a soft lock in place to protect my data usage and lock my ipad once data has expired.
My line was soft locked when data ran out. But my bill which is normally R109 is now R2900.. meaning i was charged for data once my R100 limit was reached.

This is unacceptable and has happened for 2 recurring months now. I cannot afford this amount debited from my account.
I would also like to cancel this contract immediately.

Vodacom data "usage"

The below was in response to a message the "escalation team" sent me a week ago.I have not heard from them since:

1) When I first called 111 I was told that Vodacom could not see how the data was spent – why can you see it now?
2) I use Whatsapp and Whatsapp groups to communicate with my family & friends – you are welcome to look at that. I use Facebook and might watch 1-2 youtube clips per month.
3) If anything I have done used less data in December & January as I was driving/ at venues with NO 3G) (imagine that!) & I was with the people I usually Whatsapp. How & why would I keep using data?
4) My data usage is FAR from my general usage (over 19 years of loyalty). How can you not see it?
5) I have done EVERYTHING you told me to do – including going to the iStore 4 times.
6) iStore could not find any problem on my phone, even after making a back-up and restoring it. There was 1.9GB on my phone when I left the store on Sunday, 9 January 2016 and NO data left over that evening.
7) Vodacom then soft locked my phone. If I pay the money to unlock my phone, how do I know the same thing would not happen again?
8) In addition to this – I use my phone for calls, Whatsapp & Facebook mainly. If I cannot use it like years before, what good is it to me?

In addition to this:

Friday night I got a message to say my phone is unlocked. Yesterday I sent a few (in bundle) sms’. No calls, data still locked. This morning I got a message to say I have used 50% of my account balance. HOW? HOW? HOW?

Vodacom vodasure for my smartphones

My name is bronwyn cornelius I have had a contract with you guys for many years and my contract number i05963671 I have 3 contracts with you I recently upgraded end of november at cresta but before that I upgraded contracts that were due namely my husband and daughters so they went with sony erricson z3 I didnt agree to insurance at time but unknown to me if you listen to recording when I got insurance on mine and my daughters I was unaware that the one was already insured. Cut a long story short my husbands company got him a z10 blackberry which he seemed quite happy with so he said my teen son could use the z3. Now my argument is regarding this phone sony ericson z3 that had my sons sim in it when the morning in his room he has tiles it vibrated off table from alarm going off I then breathed a sigh of relief and thought well thanks that lady from vodasure told me this phone is insured from june 2015 so we sorted on submitting it for repair or replace was informed
Sorry your phone will not be repaired or replaced cos it did not have the sim card from contract in it...
Now really... I want vodacom insurance to give me back my 7 months worth of insurance debits as this is a ludicrous result it is regardless who used the phone or whose sim was in it it was never reported stolen and was being used by my son and it was paid for every month yet you enlighten my that my sons sim was in phone when it comes to replacing or repairing but not a soul contacted me to tell me listen if you have another sim in you should send us a letter or a phone call regarding this but no regardless our premium was paid monthly... I am going to hellopeter and I am going to cpa consumers protection act as I feel this is a r12000 rand phone that is not going to be repaired and I must now still pay a contract for a remaining 18 months someone is coming off screwed and I feel it is me... My son has no phone and my husband present phone is looking used. I was a listener yesterday too on kayafm and got and address to issue complaints as there seemed many to submit about vodacom count me in as one of a thousands that will be submitting a complaint regarding your small writing policy and not coming to the party

Vodacom wifi router

I'm a Vodacom contract member of a 2GB WiFi Router but have about the past three months not enjoying this package as I cannot access internet. I've called your customer service department several times; and also approached your Pretoria North and Wonderpark shops/branches but still remained with the problem even now.

The most devastating part is, since the beginning of this issue, Vodacom has been deducting more money from my account which is not the amount agreed on as per contract. My subscription is supposed to be R189.00/month but my November bill was more than R600.00; and December one was more than R400.00 and received invoices for January which amounts to more than R300.00 while the Router is not working.

I would like to cancel this contract and get a better deal, can't carry on like this.

It has been an experience of note from person to person, number to number yet it is still not canceled, i strongly believe that vodacom staff is no qualified to do their work. Vodacom unrequested upgrade

I was contacted by Vodacom rep in Nov 2015, to 'upgrade' my existing contract of more than 10years, with an 'added' ZTE R216 Router. This has been done in Nov 2015. I have been assured that I would be able to reverse this contract within a period of time. Since then I have contacted Vodacom more than 19 times, and have spoken to even more 'customer care' staff, explaining the whole story EVERY single time. Money is taken from my account EVERY month, and the UNOPENED router has up to date NOT been collected, or payments stopped/payed back or 'upgrade' reversed...although it has been promised several times. I AM REALLY UPSET WITH PATHETIC SERVICE. Ref: 59095. (you will find NUMEROUS ref nrs, logged calls, etc...) It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of ANY email address or competent staff!

Vodacom laptop contract

Sir/ madam My name is Steven Mabaso andI've been a Vodacom contract customer for 9 years with diffirent contracts ranging from fone to lap tops. I'm currently in a Laptop and modem contract which i opened in Upington at Vodacom at Kalahari Mall. My laptop stopped working while under warranty, i took it to vodacom nd they send it in to their repair people. Tbe repair people called me telling me they cannot fix my laptop due to the nature of the damage (liquid damage according to the) which i accepted and asked for my lap top back. Now they refuse to give me back my broken lap top and say that i must pay R 160 to get it back. They call it rejection fee. No one ever informed me about such a thing up until i had to get my laptop back. Please guide me to the relevant people for assistance as i truelly feel victimized by Vodacom Upington. This changed my view of vodacom as a company Steven Mabaso Cell: [protected]

Vodacom data contract

Voda Ref #: I43165811 After one month of continual visits to Voda Customer Care branches, I have resorted to making an online complaint with regards to the below. 1. My data contract went from the usual R800 a month to a R3 000 bill over one night (late DEC). After asking for an itemized bill, all I managed to get was a one-line-entry of R2 000+. This, I assume, is due to DATA being charged out of bundle. This one line entry fails to assure more that the R2000 was an authorized charge. Given my usual behavior of buying data bundles when they run low, my out-of-bundle charge should be minimal (as they had been in previous months). This is the first time in 3 years that I have received such a bill. I will require an explanation, which I struggle to get from your tellers in your branches, or an exemption of this single-line charge. 2. Around September 2015, I had changed my contract from business to personal as I had left my previous employer. During that time, I had provided Vodacom with my new FNB account details from which to make debit orders. Since that date, no change has apparently been made to my bank account details and you (Vodacom) have continued to try debit from my old bank account, which is not funded. According to your teller, Vodacom has charged me for every reversal made on my account due insufficient funds in the wrong bank account. I demand to be reimbursed for these charges, and for the right bank account information to be updated in your system. Vodacom has my details and I hope to hear from them soon.

Vodacom really bad service - not given what I asked for

In December I did an Upgrade of a data package to a phone package [protected]) and as my husband has always been prepaid ([protected]) thought I would for a Christmas present give him a contract with Vodacom. I explained to the consultant at the Vodashop in Hout Bay and told them the number would need to change to my husbands number for business purposes. They said it was not a problem but could only do the number swop at the end of December 2015. As I was away I went into the store to do the number swop in January only to be told I cannot do this on this contract. The store refuses to help me and said I misunderstood her. Needless to say I am extremely angry and now my Husband now has a phone and contract of which he cannot use as the insurance is only for this number. As a loyal customer of Vodacom for a very long time with 4 contracts I feel so upset and am tempted to make a huge issue on social media about how I feel about them right now. I called the customer care who said they would send a reference number and investigate but nothing I tried calling again and have been cut off the line twice and 1st Attempt at chat line it bombed out. Your company is now no better than Telkom, and your service appalling.
