call service relations
I worked in the Walgreens Call Center in Muscle Shoals for 6 months. I got terminated because they allege that I was rude to a customer. Really they have no clue what rude is. I have watched the way management and the trainers have looked at me and acted towards me, like they hate me when they don't know me. They let people walk around on the floor talking to people all the time instead of being on the phone, like they tell us we have to. They upgrade this person to a position that she shouldn't be working at 4 months. They moved to do outbound at 6 months from starting. That is not long to be doing that. She has been written up for cussing 3 times, plays on her phone all the time, talks loud all the time about SEX on the floor and the bosses don't say anything. We have one supervisor that the only thing she does in exception calls, period. We have one that stays walking around half the time talking to people. She knows people are texting on their phones and I actually heard her tell one to send her a text while at work. That is not being a supervisor. Then she will going around yelling at us that we are talking to loud. Yelling at us. What is wrong with that sentence? This is also the same one that walks around talking half the time and wants people sending her texts at work. I did actually hear all of this myself. Another person in my training class was on a call with a customer when a supervisor came up to him and started fussing at him, while he was on the phone. He complained to management and was told point blank, "We don't give a [censor]." Most recently, this week, one of the people I trained with was arrested for stealing money from a previous job. It was in our local newspaper where she was arrested and indicted. She was allowed to come back to work. How is that right? I would think you wouldn't want someone there that has been arrested for stealing credit card numbers and using that number to charge stuff for her personal use. We get credit card numbers all day. It is obvious that they have favorites at work and then there are those that they don't like. The ones that they like get extra stuff. They jumped at the chance to fire me when I only missed a total of 1 day in 6 months. I was always on time for everything. They let their special ones get away with whatever because they are special. We are told from training that we can't have our cell phones on the floor because it is a HIPAA violation. Everyone has their phones out on the floor playing on them all day and nobody is walking around noticing it. The management only pays attention to what they want. What they fired me for, they amazingly didn't hear anything the patient said except I want to talk to a supervisor. That is all they heard. I think that was completely wrong. How they are running things down here are completely wrong. They don't care about anyone working here, period. It's no wonder they can't keep anyone. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to call me at [protected].

I went to m Dr. Today for uti, while I was there my back went out completely, causing me extreme pain. My Dr called in prescription and gave me a paper prescription for a pain
medication. I had lunch, took my time to get to my normal Walgreens store but when I got there my meds were still not ready. I handed the written prescription for pain and was informed they did not have that medication and neither did any area store walgreens until Monday. Sounds pretty strange and I was upset but I went to a CVS that was near. Since that was not my normal store, I had to get out of my car to show my insurance (I don't know why), which caused me unbearable pain when I had to move my legs to get in and out of the car. I could barely walk on my feet. Hours later I had to get out to drop off a client (i'm in home health care) and decided to run by Walgreens to get the rest of my prescriptions for the uti. I failed to put my purse in the car and when I got there the lady would not let me have the prescription without that lousy $5. Keep in mind that myself and my husband have been loyal customers for several years and Walgreens profits $1, 000 to $2, 000 a month from us. I asked to speak to the supervisor to see if something could be done to work this out. The supervisor was very arrogant, glib, and condescending. He cared nothing of my situation and pain. It felt he was almost making fun of me because I could barely move or speak from the pain. I've been in home health care and have been to many pharmacy and many Walgreens and I have been in many other similar situations and we never had a problem working out a satisfactory solution. I know if he wanted to we could have worked something out that did not require me to drive back to my home, torture myself getting in and out of the car and driving back to the store to give them $5. When I got back I was in obvious pain and he still did not seem to care at all, he was just a smart aleck. I left feeling embarrassed and humiliated and in more pain than ever.
Thank you,
Kelly S Reynolds

Attitudes issues do prevail in the staff of walgreens -- spoiling the good aura of walgreens . Have a serious nature complaint and would be filing it soon .
bubble shower /bath mat
Several months ago I purchased a Bath Mat at Walgrens -while I have purchased several mats at Walgrens as I replace my bath /Shower mat every few months the type I normally purchase was not there and a new mat 'Bubble Mat' was only type available -I purschased and used only once as I found it to be a DANGERIOUS ' product as the bubble ares of the mat are smooth and therefore slippery i was unable to step around on the mat once it was wet -luckily I have a handhold in my bath and I was able to keep myself from falling! I notified Walgrens of this issue -never heard from anyone and noticed that they are still offering this mat for sale in all theirs stores-I noticed they re prefer several times-these mats are dangerious to the public and need to be removed before others get hurt!
dangerous management
I had lived in Daytona as a business owner for about 2 years when an alcoholic girlfriend purchased alcohol at the Walgreens near the racetrack.
I was at home working at the time. She drank the alcohol in front of the Walgreens and fell on her face. A manager came outside and saw a bruise on her face. Then this manager "David" called the police and said, "we have a woman here whose husband beat her up and dropped her off". I was not her husband, did not touch her and did not drop her off. I though she went tot he Publix next door to the Walgreens.
Two female cops came to my door with her. They asked my name and when i told them said that this woman had claimed I was beating her up on a regular basis, turn around you are under arrest.
I was falsely arrested and did not resist other than telling the cops my side of the story. I was put in jail for days and paid thousands of dollars to a lawyer to release me.
It took me months to be cleared by the court as my case was non-pros (not prosecuted) once the court finally and stupidly realized they had no case.
After this was over, I relinquished my portion of the business and moved out of town as quickly as possible. The police department is about as incompetent and uncaring as could possibly be. The courts are draconian and the Walgreens should have been sued for slander with massive damages, but I was so pissed off and still in dis=belief, I just wanted to leave this horrible place.
There is no question, Daytona Beach with all of its beggars, low-lifes and drug addicts is a hell-hole as my electrician back here in Maryland said to me, and he was only there for a few days on vacation. Volusia County ids the poorest county in Florida and is a perfect example of all f the bad things in the state. Going there for any reason is a major mistake. Find a racetrack somewhere else, this one controls who the mayor is. The entire town is corrupt. Avoid Daytona Beach at all risk to you and your property.
I am an educated man, obviously making a serious mistake bringing this woman into my home from another country I knew her in. I had already purchased an airline ticket to send her home, but in the waiting period this incident happened . I had never been subjected to the behavior of a real alcoholic previously, so I didn't realize how dangerous she was, the Walgreens could be, nor how bad the Daytona Beach Police Dept. could be.
Walgreens made no restitution and is only concerned with protecting their name, not the customer's well-being.
If you intend to move to Miami-Dade or Broward County, I suggest you research other locations north of Pompano Beach or South of Cape Canaveral. There are large regions on the east coast that are equally as dangerous like Miami, Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville. better to check out the panhandle or the west coast. Less sleaze, not none, just less.
Anywhere in Florida, get a lawyer and a gun the week you move in, you may need both.
prescription refill issue/put on hold for 20 minutes
Do not go to this walgreens! Horrible horrible phone service. My psychiatrist gave me a prescription on paper for walgreens to refill... It's been a week and absolutely no emails, calls, nothing! And when I do call to find out about my [censor] prescription, it takes them 30 minutes with no answer! If you're gonna refill anywhere, don't do it here!
prescription shortage
I currently take medications for my back. One of these is Percocet. I have been using Walgreens for my prescription needs. My October prescription was shorted significantly, and because I had extra pills I didn't notice the small bottle they had given me. Now, I am running short and am facing withdrawal symptoms. I asked the pharmacy in New Hope, Minnesota about this and they flatly stated the count was right.
Unfortunately there isn't much they can do if you got it in October since they don't have a way to confirm you were shorted. With the opioid issues going on right now they are very strict. I'm sorry that happened to you. For medications like this, it doesn't hurt to count them the moment you receive them.
Discrimination
Store # 5008
Good morning my name is Nichalaus T Horton and I am a frequent Walgreen's shopper not only for prescription's but also groceries. I went yesterday to my new Walgreen's store and was denied service. This is the first time this has ever happened to me at any Walgreen's. An employee Dave Thomas took my prescriptions and then ordered me to sit down. I felt at this point that this employee was not having a good day because I found it rather rude. After around 10 minuets my name was called and Mr. Thomas told me that he would not fill the prescriptions. When I asked why he said it was his choice. I was extremely humiliated and frustrated at this moment. I have been taking these prescriptions for sometime and my body is used to functioning with them. I asked for a store manager and spoke with the assistant manager and he also told me that it was up to the pharmacist.
Last night I started to do my research on policy's and procedures from pharmacy's. I found that this is somewhat common with Walgreen's stores in particular. Since I feel that I was discriminated against either for my skin color or perhaps the way I was dressed. I think it is normal for people to ask themselves these questions after being denied service and since I am usually in work attire and on this particular day I was rained on coming in and in gym attire I perhaps was denied.
This is my first step in my mission to not let this happen to people. No one deserves to be humiliated and told they cannot shop in stores such as Walgreen's. Discrimination has no place in our society today. Further more denying people their prescriptions written by Doctors without merit is dangerous to ones health. If a pharmacist has the power to deny service justifiable reason needs to be provided. This power can be abused and I feel in my case it has been.
While doing research on Walgreen's I was reading though many bio philosophy's and under Dave Thomas's states
"As a Walgreen's pharmacist, I offer health advice and answer questions on medications, disease states, and so much more, because I want to help you stay well."
I don't understand the point of having bio's if they are not lived out. This cannot just be for show. I was not offered health advice, Mr. Thomas refused to answer any questions I had, and how is he helping me stay well by turning his back on me in the store and denying prescriptions written by my Dr.
I will finish by adding that since this is the first time I have had a problem after shopping at Walgreen's for many years I will not judge the store from one disgruntled employee, but I will continue to search for avenues so that discrimination can be minimized in our society. I feel that when any United States citizen feels this is happened it is their right and their duty to speak up. We all have a voice and if one believes in his voice strong enough it will be heard.
Unfortunately I was hacked the complaint was not submitted by me.
mail order pharmacy
I was a Prime Pharmacy mail order customer. They never messed up my orders and they always notified me when there was any issue at all. Well this all came to an end when I as well as others were notified that Walgreens would be taking over the mail order process. When I heard this I cringed thinking is Walgreens still bad processing scripts. Well I soon found out that they are. First off the process they used to convert former customers from Prime to Walgreens was less than adequate. They could not move over any of the scripts from Prime. Do you think they would have vetted this first, no! So, I had to get involved to go through my meds on the phone so they could be transferred. The next issue was payment. With prime it was easy, you just put in your credit card or bank info once and you were done. Walgreens did not have it in their system to ask for this information when ordering meds. So, I didn't really think about it until I received a letter stating I should pay my bill so I could continue to receive medication. The letter seemed somewhat threatening. Instead they should have said that they had an issue with their system and I should login and post a credit card. Now the latest call was due to my not getting all the meds that I reordered. I only received one out of 4. When I went on line I saw that my heard meds were on hold for some unknown reason. I called and the guys said I would not receive them until Dec 4th. I said I would run out before then. He cancelled the order and set it up to do shipping so I would receive the meds by this Wed. I called on Sun. I thanked him for doing this. Then I found out that one of the other meds I ordered was on hold for no reason they would disclose to me. I will get this one in time because I had enough to carry me over. Walgreens should have done a much better job at getting their system ready for all of this. I tried to register a complaint with them and was on hold for about 5 min. before the guy came on line and said that he could not transfer me and that I would have to call back during normal business hours. I hate Walgreens!
I love Prime Mail. I have the exact problem with Walgreens. I HATE HATE HATE WALGREENS!
I would recommend changing services. While I do not have experience with Walgreens, I did experience something similar when a small pharmacy was transferred to CVS.
automated system
Your automated system when calling the store is atrocious. I have never had so many problems as I do with your system. It never recognizes what I'm saying and makes calling in a simple prescription refill 10X longer than it needs to be. It doesn't give you the option to use the keypad until it doesn't recognize what you say multiple times. I dread calling every time my prescription runs out. Fix it!
pharmacy
at about 11 a.m. I called in a drug refill on Thur. I said price and available, he put me on and checked if the refill would go thru. then checked to see if he had 90 also, he came back to the and told me that yes the refill went thru and I can pick it up later that day. Well we went today Friday. IT WAS NOT READY. I was pissed because I do what I'm told then you drop the ball.
It took us over 24 hours to finally go pick it up not 1 hour from 11am Thursday to 3 pm Friday. the pharmacist told me on Thursday to pick it up later that afternoon. We went Friday to pick it up. IT WAS NOT EVEN STARTED AT ALL. IT WAS OVER 24 HOURS BEFORE WE WENT TO PICK IT UP. They had not even started my refill at all.
tired of their excuses
I ordered contacts with an expedited shipping two months ago and I don't understand what takes you so long to just ship them out?
Oh, I asked their representatives about the same, but they had nothing to tell me, they only ket saying: don't worry, sir, your package will arrive soon, sir. Oh yeah? It's been 2 months, when do you mean when you say "soon"m huh?
Tired tired tired.
pharmacy inadequate service
I just changed my prescription from another pharmacy to Walgreens this morning. Went in to pick up my prescriptions tonight. They had three ready but could not find one of them! They had three people looking for it! The line behind me was growing in numbers! I finally said I would come back tomorrow for it. THEN, I was told I had picked up another medication yesterday. I had not been out of my house all day that day! When I got home I looked up the name of the medication i supposedly picked up. It was a hormone chemotherapy medication for breast cancer. I do not nor have I ever taken this medication! I do not and have not had breast cancer! I did not take my new insurance card in to Walgreens until this morning. So...My question is who picked up that medication and who paid for it? Did my insurance get billed? This is quite disturbing to me! Lose one of my medications AND say I picked one up that I don't even take. Walgreens was my last hope of a good pharmacy in my town. Now I don't know what to think.
You should contact them directly for assistance. Privacy laws would prevent them from responding with details to your complaint here.
pham / personal
Twice I have gone to the Pharmacy for scripts and twice I have been treated like a drug dealer / I don't care what you need. The person in charge who stated they where in charge was Heidi,
time 1: I went in and was speaking to the employee at the service desk and while I was speaking she started speaking to another employee, then of course I had to repeat myself to her from the beginning... then Heidi stuck her head around the corner and stated she would not fill theses scripts then took a phone call... I was asking why she came back and said she would not ill them she had other customers that need them...HUH? this was a big problem for me now with my Insurance I had few choices...
time 2: My script's where call in 12:37 by the doctor and it was 3:35 and they where not ready the employee said They where not important because they had been called in and I could wait 25min like anyone else I explained I have already waited 3 hours she said wait I don't care.. I asked for the manager (Heidi of course) She told me she had 100 scripts she had to fill and didn't have time for mine yet. I told she had 3 hours she told me 25 mins. I said I'll call corporate she said do what you have to, I walked out of the store and started to drive away when my phone rang and said my script is ready... excuse me? HUH? what is going on in this store she needs more training and the employees do as well. please help!

customer service
On Friday 11/10/2017 I went to our Walgreen store and wanted to buy some razor blades (which are locked up in cosmetics). After waiting for a little while in cosmetics I asked the cashier in front to call someone to help me. After looking at me like I had three heads he stated that there was someone there. I told him I just came from there and there is no one there. After a couple of minutes I heard the page go out for help. I waited an additional 5 minutes and finally gave up. Walmart was happy to sell the blades to me so thats where I'll go from now on.
pharmacy
I dropped my medication one morning and speccifically asked if they could have it ready before 8:00 am the next day because I have to be at work by 8:00am. I chose this pharmacy because it was near my work and a 24 hr pharmacy. When I arrived around 730-740 am the next day. they couldn't find my perscription. It took them 30 minutes before they found it. I tried to speak with the manager of the pharmacy but she wouldn't speak with me and ignored me. I will not use walgreen pharmacies again. I was late to work and had to call my supervisor. I take care of medically fragile students. as the RN of these students I have to be there when they arrive due to their fragile medical issues. They frequently need emergency medical care and if the nurse is not there this can lead to harm to these students.
if the pharmacy is a 24 hr pharmacy it shouldn't matter what time I wanted to pick up my medication. even if it was 300 am in the morning. Cheryl
pharmacy
I went to Walgreens in DeRidder Louisiana to get my prescription filled for oxycodone. Although I don't know her name she has long curly hair, kind of heavy set, middle aged. She is one of the pharmacist. I could tell she was judging me by what she said and she didn't want to fill my perscription. I had a broken arm. She finally filled it but said my insurance wouldn't cover it because I had to many narcotics filled that year. I checked on Good RX for a coupon and found one that would be even cheaper than my co pay. She told me that they didn't accept those coupons. I told her that they did because I had used them before. She told me it wouldn't cover narcotics. Again I told her it would. After I got home I called my insurance company and they told me the reason they denied coverage is because she didn't fill out the request correctly. So she lied to me 3 times. I want to be able to trust my pharmacist.
store hours
On Thursday, November 2nd I waited for forty-five minutes for the store to open. I asked the employees who was going to open the store. They responded that the manager, but the manager never showed up. I returned home disappointed thinking I will never go back to Walgreens. Walgreens has been my go-to store for many years. It is not fair for a customer to wait for the store to open, and I left not knowing whether it opened or not. I have to drive to the next competitor, CVS.
Thank you for your attention and I hope you do something about this inconvenience.
The store address is 9807 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75238
8 hours to get a prescription filled
My wife gave prescriptions to be filled in the Walgreens Amboy Ave st located in Edison NJ. It a total disgrace that it takes 8 hours to fill the prescription. We got a call from Walgreens that our prescription was ready. When we wen there around 9 PM they needed another 10 more mins. My son was not able to take his meds since he had already gone to bed. DO NOT SHOP AT WALGREENS anymore!
muslim clerk with bad english
I went to Walgreens for a simple flu shot and gave them my insurance card. At first I was told my insurance didn't cover it, which it always had in the past. After investigation I was told insurance does cover, just not my insurance. I was getting ready to call my insurance carrier to discover what was different. The Muslim clerk with a scarf on her head barely even knew what I was asking. She said "yes" to all my questions which couldn't be right. Then I talked to a native English speaker and she explained it quickly. I almost had an unfounded complaint against my insurance company when it was actually a person working in the pharmacy who doesn't know English. THAT IS DANGEROUS. What else does she goof up on? This Walgreens is 3130 Lee Hwy, Arlington VA. Problem and dangerous!
employee harassment
Everytime I go into the Walgreens store in grenada Ms I am harassed by the employee Tracey Mays (if she is working at he time). She follows me around the store, watching me. Like I'm going to steal something. My wife and I live within walking distance of the store and used to do all of our shopping there because we didn't have a vehicle. We went in yesterday and she once again followed us around and as we got to register she actually came up to cashier and told her to "watch us". I mean it got so bad I had to threaten to call the police on her. Something has to be done. I've informed 2 managers of this and they go right along with it. This is not right we have spent a lot of money with Walgreens but if the harrssmsnt doesn't stop we will take out business elsewhere and I will take my complaint higher up and involve the police department
