new windows
A year and a half ago I replaced my 30 year old windows with new Window World at a substantial cost to me. Some leaked from the time they were installed. After several people came out they still leaked some much worse than before. It was always blamed on something else, the roof, the flashing, the drip edge, the stucco. On one occasion a man came out and went in my attic to check my attic windows, he fell through my ceiling into my walk-in closet, knocked the light fixture down, and scratched my wood floor. He talked to his supervisor on the phone told him what had happened and he was to file a report.
After a month of no light and ceiling in my closet I paid for the repair myself. Still a year and a half later no word from Window World. I have had roofers, flashing people, stucco people come out, all have referred to the windows as the source of the leaking. Recently I had to tear the wall out around a couple of my windows inside to repair rotten wood and sheetrock at a cost to myself of about $4000.00. I am truly afraid to what is happening around the windows that are still leaking. The last repairman they sent out he caulked one window from
the inside which causes the water to go inside the wall. I stopped him from doing any more.
On my order sheet filled out by the salesman it states "HIGH END HOME/STUCCO/TOP INSTALLER". The crew that came to do my installation did not speak English, I had a tough time explaining to them about my cats getting out. They came in my house like bulls in a china closet. After about the 4th or 5th time they sent someone out in an attempt to fix my problems in talking he indicated that the crew that did the installation was new and no longer worked for them.
I could not afford to do this and had to finance my windows at a cost of almost $18, 000. Now it may be necessary to have another company come in and replace these Year and a Half old Windows and fix any damage the leaking windows have caused to my house. I am retired this is causing tremendous stress and a financial burden on me.
Not happy with Window World!
Window seals
My husband and I live in Brown Summit, North Carolina, and purchased a home suited with Window World Windows in 2016. The windows were installed at our home in 2010. Over the last 3 years, we have watched our Window World windows rapidly decline to the point of being non-functional due to seal failure. We have 12 Window World windows in our home, and 8 of...

We ordered an entry door and all new windows, including a bow window and a garden window, in November of 2018, with the understanding that they would not be installed until May / June of 2019. We've had several major issues with the installation of our new windows and door. When discussing the agreement, we were under the impression that new interior...

Ernest called and left a message about coming out on Friday, July 5th to put in new windows and patio doors. I called back and verified the Friday appointment with Makayla. At first she was resistant and said my order was not in yet and she could book me on the 13th. I told her that Ernest had just called and said the 5th and asked her to check with him, she came back to the phone and verified Friday was able to be booked. She said someone would call me between 8am and 10am to let me know when they would be there. So I took off work, removed all the blinds, curtains, brackets everything from the windows and at 10am no call, so I called them and they put me on hold and another lady who did not disclose her name just kept apologizing and said all she could do is have a supervisor call me and see if they could squeeze me in. 30 minutes later no call so I called back and Makayla answered and she said she was sorry. So again on hold and she came back and said I can book you for Monday and I explained again. I had already lost one day of work and it was unacceptable, she said she talked to the supervisor and there was nothing he could do. I asked for his name and number but all she gave me was Dave and would only ask him to call. So he called and said nothing he could do about someone else's mistake and they could not do it until Monday. I explained to him that I had taken off work and all my windows and patio doors were completely exposed waiting on them. He offered me $ 50.00 and that was pretty much it. So I have to take another day off and take everything back down again on Monday.
window installation
WindowWorld Crew arrives on 6/17 to install 30 windows. They begin removing old windows and throwing them on the ground shattering glass everywhere. We requested using tarps to the supervisor and called the Install Manager requesting the same. They used tarps on one side of building but 45 minutes later we check other side and NO TARPS! Glass shattered all over the ground.
We locked all the doors and requested another install crew. We ultimately acquiesced and allowed same crew to finish.
Glass remains in the yard. Scraps from windows remain on the asphalt. Over 10 windows still need attention with bent frames etc.
Most disappointing is ZERO management follow up from WindowWorld.
We have $30, 000 in quotes to install more WindowWorld doors and windows. Those can be tossed in the trash!

windows
The finish on the tops of these windows is like swiss cheese. I sent pictures to the local branch and they started asking for "true to size" pics. I have no idea what that is but for $4400.00 dollars, you all can send a rep out here. They didn't, I called corporate office spoke with Marty, said he would handle it, nothing ever came of it.
I asked for a patio and front and side doors, but you can forget any business from me any more. I had to do all the prep work for them, blinds removed, burglar alarms disconnected, window curtains removed, and I was left to put them all back up myself well it has been 4 months and the window dressings are still down. I have carpal tunnel, torn rotator cuff and am 68 years old unable to do it.
5 surveyers called before, during and right after set up. What was the point? They can write any thing down on the phone. Such poor customer service no better than a regular box store rip off.
new windows
I ordered windows in the beginning of august 2018 and paid half down with the expectation that they would be in stalled the beginning of november. They scheduled for december 6th and then cancelled as they installer for my area quit. Rescheduled for january 10th. When the installer arrived he found out they measured wrong so the windows were too small. Was able to install 2 out of 10 windows. When asked what compensation we would get, we were offered $100.00 off. We ordered windows to be installed before the winter and that does not cover the cost of propane we could have saved. Wishing we would have gone with a different company right now. Was informed that no one will call me to talk to me until after the windows are installed. This is not good business.
window do not lock
I have called Window world to come out and fixed the window that do no lock and they were supposed to come on Friday 1-18-2019 no call no show, I called on Monday 1-21-2019 no call no show, I have paid very good money for our windows and can't get good customer service this is not a start for us, we will like someone to come out and fixed the issue. not sure If we will use this Company again.
Window do not lock.
Same happened to me. Paid $4400.00 dollars, over $500.00 per window for plain PVC white double hung, low E with tempered glass, the finish on the tops where the lock is was horrible, still see plastic shavings and rough texture not smooth finish. Called corporate after no response from local dealer, said they would take care of it but no call no show. Like many in business, after they get your money they are gone. I will not give them another dime for my doors and back patio I asked for.
windows
The windows leak air, have been trying to get them fixed for seven years. I have pictures of icicles hanging between the sashes, they replaced the weather striping, and installed new sashes a couple of times but they still leak air. Had them out to fix the problem about a dozen times and still leak air. I dont know if they have no idea how to fix the problem or if these windows are just plain junk.

purchased a home in a 55 and older community in September 2018. Immedietly started looking for new windows. After several calls from sales people we decided to go with window world (MIKE). We ordered 13 window at a cost of almost 6000.00. After some time, we called to ask about the windows, "we will let you know when they are ready".
This happened several times. We called, no-one from winow world ever tried to reach out to us. We had an appointment scheduled for December 18th. They called on the 17th and said they were going to have to rescheule due to the installers being backed up. After much arguing back and forth they came out on the 21st. 14 weeks it took but we got our new windows. The installers said, "call your power company and you can get a rebate for energy effencient windows." I called and the person at Duke Energy informed me there has to be an inspection BEFORE the windows are installed. She said, "I work with Window World all of the time and your salesman should have told you this". After calling WW all I have received is Rude, Argumentative reps. One person Pamela was so nasty she was yelling at my husband on the phone. They claim it is not their responsibility to inform me of this rebate. How would I have ever known? I lost out on 400.00 from the power company. After talking to my neighbors that have had replacement window from WW, NO-ONE ever told them of a rebate either.in a community of retired people 400.00 bucks would have been nice. It wasn't coming out of their pocket. It has left a bad taste in my mouth about the company and their ethics.
There are 700 homes in my community and if anyone asks, I will tell them my story.
Long Story Short, Once they cash your check, they do not care about customer service. NO-one not even coorporate wants to return a call. They only give us the shouters, SAD,.
service /unethical behaviour
This has been nothing but a terrible experience. I ordered new 22 windows, front door with side lights and new siding on October 2018. Window World held the windows for approximately 2 weeks and never notified me that they will in. I had to call Window World and requested to speak with the Manager (Jerry). Jerry stated he has the windows, he was just...

This is a review of the Window World in Tucson Arizona [protected]) owned by Chris Lutz at the time of my window purchase/installation in 2017.
During the original estimate on 1/06/17 a salesman measured the windows. Owner Chris Lutz came by 1/17/17 to remeasure the windows to make sure the measurements were correct. Deposit charged to my credit card on 1/31/17.
Installation date scheduled for 3/18/17. Installer arrived without materials needed to replace the window frame (as agreed in contract) and even though the windows were measured twice (once by the owner), one of the windows was incorrect size. Installation was canceled until all the correct materials were available, including the window.
After the installation and before the owner left I showed him areas of concern related to the installation of the windows. He stated that after the windows set for a few days he would return to complete the work. I called the company multiple times and was told the owner would call me. I did not get any calls from him. Over 18 month later and I still have not heard from the owner, my window installation has not been properly completed, and sometimes one of the windows screeches when I open or close it. The window is scraping against the vinyl track when opened/closed and leaving a black groove in the white vinyl. I find bits of vinyl in the ledge. The screens do not fit properly so when I open the windows the flies, mosquitoes, and other pests fly into my home. The caulking was sloppily done, with caulk smeared on the bricks and the window vinyl. Two completely different colors of caulk were used on the same window. In some areas the caulk is already separating from the window. The wood trim that the owner installed when replacing the window frame is unevenly cut and the window ledge is ragged. I have photos, invoices, and emails to back my statements.
What good is a lifetime warranty if the company takes months to get the windows installed, installs the windows incorrectly, does shoddy work, uses cheap product, and never returns calls when the work is incomplete and incorrectly done?
windows world customer service
Windows World of Springfield, Missouri, we have experienced poor customer service from this particular Window World, from the initial scheduled install date (late June 2018) to the completion including no return calls, installed wrong window in bathroom. We appreciate your immediate response, especially when we were charged for a specific window, we would like the window ordered install.
A installer was supposed to be at the house at 7am but showed up little after 9am, when I ran to the store a mile away. My ring camera told me someone was at the door but my wife was there, someone rung bell and then walked away. The installer left a phone message on my cell, tried to call him back in less than 1 minute, but he did not answer or return call. So I called the store and the rep tried to reached the installer but no answer. They said they would keep trying to reach him to have them come back in which I never got a return call. So after two weeks I called back for them to reschedule for someone else to come back which meant taking another day off work. The installer came back July 2018 to installed the windows but put the wrong window in my bathroom, said they will have to come back later to redo the bathroom. Well did not receive that call, so I made a couple of attempts to contact the local Window World representatives, but no one has returned my call. On Sept 26, 2018 I called and a male representatives answer the phone and stated he would check and give me a call back. Again, as of today, still no call. This is very poor customer service. We appreciate your immediate response, especially when were charged for a specific window.
windows/service
Ordered Windows from Keith Dotson in Columbus, Ohio. Been fighting with him for two years now. Never received all my windows and many of the windows that his crew installed did not work properly after installation. Many hours, cancelled appointments, no show appointments, hours missed at my work so I could be there when the installers arrived that never showed up is so frustrating. What is more frustrating is the fact that Keith Dotson and his crew have done nothing, absolutely nothing to make this right.
Even Keith himself told me in one of our many conversations, "Steve I would be pissed about this too." I can tell you this, actions speak louder than words and there have been no actions to rectify this at all.
I paid for these windows through a credit offer and at this point, I think to bring this issue to a proper resolution would be to credit me for what is left on my card.
You may contact me and I will be more than happy to discuss this with someone who will listen and actually do something to remedy this. My number is #[protected].
Thank You
installation of french doors
In November 2017 Window World came to my house and took measurement for to replace my French Doors. I had been affected by Hurricane Harvey and needed to replace everything. On 2/23/2018 Window World came to my house to install the doors, the doors had gap all around the fame leaving an opening where you can see outside. I inform the installer that I could not pay him for the services because of the large gap that can be seen. I had already paid them Half of the money to install doors and upon installation I would have paid the other half. I contacted the Sales Rep he sided with the contractor, I then contacted the company number and they referred me to the Field Supervisor and he stated that he would send somebody back out to the house to review everything on 2/26/2018. The Installer came out and stated that the original door that they took measurement for to replace old door was not the right measurements, he then sprayed a foam around the gap and stated that they would order me another door. Officially two months went by and no word from the agency. I then call the Field Supervisor to check on what is going on and he was rude, he stated that It is not his fault, he is only human and they have over 300 something customers and the ball will get drop sometime. I then ask him for my money back he stated that is not going to happen, I told him I will report him to Better Business Bureau and he stated he don't care. I requested to speak with someone over him and he acted like I could not go over his head and he would not give me any information. He then tell me the best he can do is send someone out to my house on May 14, 2018 and I stated I just want my money back and he stated that I could not get my money back and I was doing good with him even talking to me because he is so busy and the best he can do is have someone come back out to my house.
customer service
I got siding installed on my house. The siding install manager took forever to get me scheduled, with me leaving lots of ignored messages and when I finally got a hold of him, "I'll look at it and let you know tomorrow." A week later I still hadn't heard back from him. This happened several times.
So the siding finally got installed and the installers did a nice job. They had to take down my gutters to do the soffit and such, but they assured me that I'd get new gutters. They did their thing and cleaned up the yard fairly well, but left the leftover materials in my driveway for pickup by the company. Five weeks later, several ignored messages and "I'll let you know tomorrow"s later, it's still there and I still have no gutters.
I would love to escalate this to a manager somewhere but I'm not having any luck finding such contact information.
install 12 windows - owner luke difulco customer service 2 thumbs down!!!
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING WINDOW WORLD OF ALEXANDRIA PLEASE READ ME!
We were so excited to order new windows through Window World of Alexandria, (Spending over $6, 700) for a quality product with an excellent warranty but supposedly great customer service. Day one the workers showed up at almost noon and replaced 7 of the 12 windows. Left the site with the promise of showing up between 9 and 9:30, its 11:30 of day 2 install and no workers at the house to finish the install. I contacted the owner Luke Difulco. He needs to learn the definition of customer service, because yelling at the customer is not found anywhere in the definition. I contacted corporate headquarters and because Mr. Difulco owns the franchise, the corporate office is willing to contact Mr. Difulco to try and get positive communication going between us and Mr. Difulco. I truly hope that the windows are of such quality that I never have to contact the local franchise. Part of the reason we chose Window World was because of the warranty, but if we have to deal with an owner that YELLS at their customers, I have a feeling after reading many of these other posts that we will be in the same position.
property damage during installation
Hello, I have made a couple of attempts to contact the local Window World representatives, but no one has returned my call.
We had windows installed a few months ago. After they left, I noticed a large stain on our front porch that is form the insulation foam. I have left it as found since that time. We are 100% sure the stain was from the foam, because there are still foam remnants embedded into the concrete.
When the installation team left, it was dark and was not seen. I need someone to come look at this and come up with a resolution.
Please contact me as I am becoming more and more frustrated and am ready to utilize the services of an attorney.
The cleaner shown was also left as you can tell they tried to clean it up.
Thank You,
Patrick Hillan
substandard, non-compliant work on home improvements
It's been a year since I hired them for windows and siding. Soffit and fascia crooked and falling off, siding crooked and loose, and water infiltration around the window frames. It's "hack" work far below industry standard. They crapped in my yard and trashed my property. Chad Shirey was belligerent and threatening. I am faced with tens of thousands of $$$ in repairs plus attorney fees. Click or copy and paste the link to see their "work" for yourself. https://www.facebook.com/Window-World-of-Altoona-Johnstown-and-State-College-is-a-rip-off-1209110375875954/
customer service
I love my windows and doors and have recommended Window World to anyone asking about installing new windows. About 5 months ago, I called with a problem with a patio door. It took 3 months for someone to come and then he had the wrong window. Since then, I'm calling daily and they keep telling me they will have the supervisor, Mr. Robert Smite, who's in a meeting, call me back and I have yet to hear from anyone. I'm willing to have a new door installed, if necessary, but I would at least like to have the consideration of a phone call. Spent mega bucks have all these window and doors installed. The last time I had an issue, they responded in a timely manner and fixed it. What's going on in the Spring, Houston area? Don't get it.
