Winn-Dixie Check out lanes not open

I was at the store in Key Largo at around 10 am on Wednesday. I had 9 gallons of water and 3 6 packs of water. There was no way to scan them all and not put them back in my cart. Finally one of the employees standing around came to me and I told her I can't not scan all of these. She finally did it for me with her code. everyone in the lines for self check out were complaining. Not a single check out lane with a real cashier was there. My elderly friend who has been going to this store forever and only pays by check had about $200 worth of groceries and same thing. She told the one girl that she pays by check and they girl said there is nothing I can do. My friend got really upset and raised her voice and one of the employees who knows her came to the front of the store and told the girl to open a lane for her to check her out. What is going on? Then when I tried to buy lotto tickets I was waiting for someone to help me and this employee came up and asked if I needed help.? Why else would I be there ? This store is reallyy going downhill fast. Bad management for sure. So back to Publix I go. I may pay more but they have great service.

Desired outcome: I want a response as why there are no cashiers in the morning.

Winn-Dixie Farmacia en riverview

El trato es horrible, te discriminan si no hablas inglés. Y cuando llegas te miran mal, no tienen tiempo para atender a uno. Me voy a cambiar de farmacia. Nunca me atendieron bien.

Winn-Dixie The Alexander city Al location

Hello, I’m doing a complaint , i’m not too good with self check out, one of the employees did use the store discount card, she was right there as every item I thought had scanned, , the problem I have with that, she was right there but got in front of other customers as i paid for items and waited until I Finnish paying and got ready to walk away, embarrassed me in front of everyone as tho I was trying to walk out without paying for the items that I thought had scanned , heard it beeped and automatically thought they had scanned, it should’ve been addressed in a more professional manner without conflict or embarrassment, she was there and knew the items didn’t scan , I was unaware of it, should have addressed me at the checkout counter instead of making a scene . Love shopping with you all, have been for many years, very disappointed and felt stereo typed, Thank you. Best regards.

Winn-Dixie The registry girls

I was at the Bainbridge, Ga. Store on 7/14/22 at 5pm. My register person was John. Two younger girls came to help, so their conversation could continue about where and when they take a [censored]. How the store was not good enough, so they like to hold it until they get home. Plus I purchased cooked chicken from deli. When I got to car, it had been double bagged and placed upside down in my cart. Either a joke on me, or the dumbest [censored] possible because to busy talking about where to go to the bathroom at.

Desired outcome: A promotion, any questions Jamie young [protected]

Winn-Dixie Winn-Dixie Daytona Beach Shores, FL Location is HUGE FAILURE & DANGER TO CUSTOMERS!

PLEASE notify MANAGEMENT that Winn-Dixie Daytona Beach Shores, Florida Grocery Store is an ABSOLUTE FAILURE! THE LAST SHOPPING TRIP (7/7/22) I WENT ONLINE & REDEEMED A FREE CONTAINER OF ICE CREAM (BEFORE i WENT SHOPPING) WHICH WAS GIVEN ME BY Winn-Dixie FOR MY BIRTHDAY...AND ...WHEN I WENT THRU THE CASHIER...HE TOLD ME THE DISCOUNT (FREE) WAS TAKEN AND IT WAS NOT...SO...I WENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE...AND ASKED FOR A CREDIT FOR THE ICE CREAM...AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THE REDEMPTION SYSTEM WAS DOWN AND INSTEAD OF CREDITING THE ICE CREAM...SHE CHARGED ME FOR IT AGAIN...SO...I HAD AT THAT POINT PAID FOR THIS free BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM TWICE...WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE!...SO I HAD TO CALL AND ASK THE MANAGER TO CREDIT MY CARD (WHICH SHE COULD NOT DO...SO SHE MAILED ME A GIFT CARD) which she acted like I should be THRILLED about! THEN TODAY...7/14/2022, I went grocery shopping, and this is one of several times that I have gone online prior to grocery shopping and pre-selected DIGITAL COUPONS...AND WHEN THE CASHIER RINGS UP MY ORDER...THE DISCOUNTS ARE NOT TAKEN. I used my home computer and logged onto my account and pre-select the DIGITAL COUPONS I WILL BE USING AT MY SHOPPING TRIP (THE NEXT DAY)...AND THEY ARE NOT BEING DEDUCTED ONCE I HAVE CHECKED OUT. I have made it a point...once I have paid for my groceries...to pull the cart over by Customer Service...and go thru the receipt and point out the discounts that should have been taken (pre-selected DIGITAL COUPONS) and were not deducted. Then...the Customer Service person had me find the items (2 Starbucks Double-Shot Coffees) which I purchased which I was supposed to have received a $1 discount (and did not). So...since I had purchased $235.18 worth of groceries at this trip...I had to pull out about 25 bags to look for these 2 cans of Starbucks Double-Shot Coffee) so that she could give me $1. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! WHY DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL COUPONS...IF YOU DO NOT GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE DISCOUNT WHEN THE ITEMS ARE PURCHASED AT THE REGISTER? THEN...I GOT HOME AND WAS SHUCKING MY 6 EARS OF CORN ON THE COB AND HALF OF THE EARS OF CORN WERE ROTTEN. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS Winn-Dixie DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FLORIDA LOCATION TO CORPORATE...SINCE THIS STORE HAS NO CARE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...AND IS GOING DOWNHILL F A S T ! SHAME ON YOU WINN DIXIE FOR CHEATING YOUR CUSTOMERS OUT OF THE DIGITAL COUPON BENEFIT YOU SHOULD BE GIVING AND SHAME ON THE LAZY EMPLOYEES WHO TAKE NO PRIDE IN THEIR WORK ETHIC...TO SELL ROTTEN PRODUCE TO UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS! FORMER CUSTOMER OF WINN DIXIE Daytona Beach Shores, FL LOCATION

AND ...THEN...I WAS NOT ABLE TO SUBMIT THIS COMPLAINT online TO THE WINN-DIXIE LOCATION AT DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FLORIDA….SINCE THEIR ‘CONTACT-US’ ONLINE FORM DOES NOT WORK…..

I KEPT GETTING THE FOLLOWING ERROR: Failed

Oops! Something went wrong. Please try submitting again later.

WHAT A CRAP STORE! I WILL BE GOING TO THE NEWS MEDIA TO FURTHER CRUSH YOUR STORE!

Desired outcome: I would like someone that cares enough to improve the store....to enforce customer service ....and require the store to provide DIGITAL COUPON DISCOUNTS THEY OFFER and provide SAFE/NON-ROTTEN FOOD FOR CUSTOMERS TO PURCHASE.

Regarding Store 12649 HWY 301 Dade City FL

Cashier Angel (or Angela)

I had to, unfortunately, return a propane tank because the valve was stuck or not working. The Cashier at the CSM desk on 7/4/22 @ 0930 was non-understanding and accusatory. She told me the tank had "better be full" and that she could not believe that I had purchased the tank around the beginning of last month. I explained to her that I always like to keep a full tank on hand so that if the propane runs out on the grill I can exchange at the moment. Her overall demeanor is not what I expect from a Winn-Dixie employee, who is normally very friendly and understanding. I ensured I had the receipt to perform the exchange.

I am happy to say the new tank worked as soon as it was attached. I did choose not to exchange my second tank with the store related to the poor attitude of this person. I understand it is the 4th of July, but this was essential to cook out.

Unfortunately, the website for Winn Dixie does not work for customer service, so I have resolved to use this arena.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Desired outcome: Acknowledgment of the issue, sometimes products can be faulty. I am happy that I was able to exchange the tank at least.

Winn-Dixie Quality of products

On June 18, I purchased two whole red snappers from the fish department at the Aventura, FL store. After cooking and serving the fish, a rather large parasite was discovered inside. It was found by my child who was so traumatized he said he would never eat a whole fish again. After some research, I found that it is called a tongue eating louse. I included a picture of it before I flushed it. I don’t know what the FDA allows in such a case but it seems that if one can gut and scale a fish, one could also remove a giant parasite from its mouth before selling it to a customer. Disgusting.

Desired outcome: It would be nice if someone could explain Winn Dixie’s parasite policy so at least I know what to expect in the future.

I attended winn dixie on june 22,2022, in new orleans, louisiana, n. Carrollton store. I was making my groceries and i politely asked an employee in the meat dept, mr. Wayne did they have anymore angus beef roast available, he simply said excuse me and continue to walk away from me, as if i was not there i thought that was very unprofessional of him as an employee i spend money in winn dixie all the time i didnt appreciate that coming from the employee so another person came behind me and ask the same thing he was very rude to her as well, i also asked for a manager who was not available, so i left my name and number which no one contacted me as of this day. I left winn dixie and went to another store because i felt violated as a cutomer. If he is going to threat people that way he doesnt need a job, but i know he does if not he wouldnt be there. I hope this complaint can be followed through. Thanks a concerned valued shopper

When the sign says “BOGO” it means buy one, get one.

In the store I’m told it means buy two and get one.

Winn-Dixie Clerk at register (older lady, short, maybe around 55-60)

On July 1, at 9:10 AM I took 5 items out of my shopping cart and placed them on the check stand. The older lady walk out from behind the register, walked around too the shopping cart and grabbed it, never said a word and walked out the front door and placed it out side. I was standing there with no one around. I asked her when she came back in, "why didn't you check me out first and then take the cart out?" She stated, "I could have but I didn't". Now she gave me a dirty look a couple times while checking me out. It funny but I just talked too my buddy before I got there and he had just left the store, he told me that the older gal at the check stand is there and she is a [censored] every time he goes in there, well guess what she was a [censored] too me also. I know it is had too get help now a day's but that women needs to be fired. I was a Grocery Store Manger at one time.

While I have your attention, that is the worst run Meat Dept. I have ever seen. A lot of mornings there are three meat clerks working and the case is empty, I worked in large stores and they only had one our two meat men, but three and a empty case, how do you stay in business. If these things are not brought to your attention you are not aware that winnthey are going on. Pat

Winn-Dixie Check cola zero calorie soda

I purchased over the last couple of months 6 12 packs of your chek zero calorie soda along with root beer and fresh.

This is the third time that your zero calorie soda is flat with no taste. I returned and exchanged the last 3 for other flavors and had no problem with those.

Again, this brand and flavor is flat and almost like water. No flavor. I am upset as i buy chek soda all the time. Prior to the last few months your soda was good. Something wrong with your mfg.

Upc code [protected] 8 it states best through 1-7-23

i am going to switch to coke now for my cola ,

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the 3 - 12 packs of the soda. It is time consuming for me to keep returning to store

Winn-Dixie $4 meds

I have a prescription for FLUOXETINE 10mg

#30 tablets Which is on your $4 list of meds. I had to use Good Rx this month at $16 because the pharmacy said Winn Dixie price is $36. What good is the $4 list you don’t use it. Winn-Dixie Did not receive the correct amount of prescription that is a controlled substance

Yesterday, I went to my local Winn Dixie Pharmacy to pick up my refill for my prescription, which is a Schedule II controlled substance. Was supposed to be 60 tablets total for a 30 day supply (one tablet by mouth twice daily). I consumed two that first day, and then the following day I consumed 2 more for a total of of 4 tablets. That should leave me with a total of 56 tablets left. Normally, I have trust in the pharmacy and so usually don’t ever count out my medication because I’ve never had a reason to do so, my prescription amount is usually always accurate. However, the prescription nottle that my pills were placed in was smaller than what they normally put my prescription in, & I just had a weird feeling that something might be “off”. So for the first time ever, I decided to count them out. I counted 5 TIMES, because I wanted to make SURE that I did not make an error. Needless to say I discovered that I only have 52 tablets remaining. If you add in the 4 tablets that I had already consumed that puts my total count at 56 tablets. Also, let me provide a few more details to help reduce/eliminate any other possibilities as to how this may have occurred that would imply an error on MY end.

I live alone & was working alone in my office both days. I had my prescription safe and secured with me at all times both days. It is NOT possible that my prescription was stolen. I only dispensed ONE tablet at a time each time I accessed the prescription bottle. It is NOT possible that any tablets were lost. The prescription bottle was never, not once left unattended, bottle was never dropped or spilled.

Now let me say this. Once I discovered the shortage, Immediately, I became upset because I KNOW that there is not going to be any resolution to this issue because of the fact that my prescription is a controlled substance (CS). With so many people in the world who are addicted to drugs, abuse drugs, & the many different ways prescription drug abusers try to obtain more of the drug, some even by making this exact same claim, I KNOW that I will immediately be judged and possibly flagged as a person who is trying to illegally obtain more tablets for the purpose of abusing the medication. Which, is very unfortunate, because mistakes DO HAPPEN. And with the tight restrictions and laws in place when it comes to the dispensing of CS there really is little to nothing that can be done to rectify the issue for a patient who is NOT abusing the medication, & truly is a victim of human error on behalf of the pharmacist.

So, I have accepted the fact that I will not be able to resolve this issue, & will just have to be without my medication for 2 days, which is what is going to occur since I was shorted 4 tablets (2 day supply).

So, yes, I am in fact still submitting this complaint, but my main reason for submitting this claim is to ask for advice and suggestions on what options I have that I can utilize to prevent this from happening to me again in the future.

Is there anything I can do? Anything at all that I can do to ensure that I receive the correct amount of my medication before I walk out of the Pharmacy? I know that pharmacies have strict protocols in place when it comes to counting CS, I’ve done some research and found out that CS are inventoried on a regular basis, and that tablets are usually counted TWICE when being dispensed by a pharmacist. However, it is STILL POSSIBLE for human error to occur, and in worse cases, theft/fraud can occur on behalf of the pharmacist and/or pharmacy techs and other pharmacy staff.

I am by NO MEANS assuming or accusing anyone of any fraudulent/theft activity. I am just stating a few examples/possible scenarios that can and have occurred before (not to me, in general).

With that being said, it is a fact that these types of things can occur & mistakes do happen. So, my question is that when this DOES happen, what options does one have at their disposal to try to remedy this issue? I would like to hope/believe that there must be something that a patient can do to ensure that they receive their medication in entirety. But then again, I suppose it’s possible & even likely that unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, and when this happens the patient just has to deal with it & go without their medication. Is that true? Is the only choice a patient has is to just “hope” & trust their the pharmacy and pharmacist does not make an error & dispenses the correct amount? And even if in fact the patient was shorted, that person is just at a loss? If so, that is just…. horrible… But I suppose drug abusers & dishonest people are to blame for this.

In summary, & I do apologize for the lengthy complaint, as I stated above, I understand the need for tight restrictions for these types of medications. I understand the laws. I understand that people do abuse prescription drugs. I understand that people have lied and have used this as an excuse just to obtain more of the prescription drug. I also understand why anyone who brings this to the a Pharmacy staff member’s attention will most likely immediately judge and assume this person to be a liar and a drug abuser. I understand all of this. But, all I can say is that I am NOT one of those people. I truly am a victim of human error in this situation. If I truly felt that it was AT ALL possible that the shortage was caused by me, in the event that I left my prescription unattended around other people, if I lived with other people, worked in an office setting with other people, which would suggest a possible theft situation; or if I had dropped or spilled my medication somewhere during the time I had possession of my medication, misplaced it, any of those possibilities, I would not even waste my time bringing this to anyone’s attention. But I am CONFIDENT that there is no way that any of those possibilities could have occurred, and am CERTAIN that an error must have occurred during the dispensing process at the Pharmacy.

I am seriously just looking for guidance here. What can I do to prevent this from happening to me again? Am I allowed to request that the Pharmacist count out my medication right then and there at the Pharmacy at the time of pickup? Am I allowed to count out the medication myself at the Pharmacy counter before I walk off and leave the store? Am I allowed to request a quick investigation with the Pharmacy & perhaps ask that they conduct an inventory on their supply of my medication to see if there is an overage on their end (im assuming that if I was in fact shorted, then the inventory count of the medication in question would show a surplus of 4 tablets on their end right?) An I allowed to request a 2 day early refill as long as I have approval from my prescriber and they call in a new prescription to the Pharmacy? (Will the Pharmacy be able to dispense or honor 2 day early refill for a Schedule II CS?) Am I allowed to have some kind of notation on my account with the Pharmacy to request that my medication be counted THREE times for accuracy prior to picking up?

Are any of those above mentioned ideas possible? Those are the top ideas that I thought of, considering my limited knowledge of all of the laws and regulations involved when it comes to CS.

Lastly, there is one more thing I wanted to include in this complaint. So before writing this, I did in fact call the Pharmacy to bring this to their attention I immediately started off the conversation with this exact statement, “Hello! My name is _, & I picked up a prescription refill at your location yesterday, which is a CS, & today I counted out my medication and discovered that I am missing 4 tablets. I was supposed to receive 60. The doseage called for two tablets by mouth twice daily. So I have already consumed 4 tablets, two yesterday when I picked up, & two more today. Which suggests I should have a total of 56 tablets left, however after counting 5 times over, I have only 52 tablets remaining.” At this point the Pharmacy associate who answered started to speak, but I quickly interrupted to continue and said the following, “Now, look I already know the answer, and I understand that with my medication being a CS, & with the strict laws and regulations in place to prevent over prescribing & drug seekers from obtaining more medication illegally, that as soon as I walked out of the store there is nothing that you can do to resolve the shortage. I understand that & I have accepted that. So my reason for calling is merely just to ask for advice. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening to me in the future?” The associate, very rudely, especially in her tone of voice, which was OBVIOUSLY accusatory & judgmental, said to me, “Um sir, that’s IMPOSSIBLE. That is something that never happens, especially here. Those medications are counted multiple times and there is in fact no possible way that you were not given the correct amount.” I responded, “So are you saying that is absolutely, without a doubt, NOT POSSIBLE that human error could have occurred and that my prescription was miscounted?” She did not respond right away, but then let out a sarcastic chuckle and repeated her I think statement, “Sir like I said, those types of medications are strictly monitored and counted out very carefully, and that NEVER happens. This never happens here so it’s very unlikely that you were shorted on your medication.” So I replied back, “Okay… well, like I said in the beginning, I know that you’re not able to resolve this by simply dispensing me the 4 missing tablets, and I’ve accepted that. I am merely calling to ask if there is something that I CAN do to ENSURE that I receive the correct amount of my medication before walking out of the facility. That is all.” She replied again, with an irritated sigh, “Yeah I mean, I suppose you can ask them to count your medication out for you again when you come in to pick it up?” I chose to take the high road even though I KNOW she was treating me as a liar and a possible drug seeker because of her tone and her responses and the way she was speaking to me. So I completely disregarded all of that and simply replied “Oh okay, Great! That’s all I wanted to know! I Just wanted to know if there was something I can do on my end to make sure that I receive the correct amount so this doesn’t happen again in the future. I will do that next time! Thank you!” She replied, “Yeah okay.” Then she hung up on me.

I mean look, like I said previously multiple times, I get it. I’m sure they get these types of phone calls and complaints on a regular basis and most times it IS in fact someone who is lying and just trying to get more medication. So I understand why she treated me that way. But, I wish she had kept it professional, remained kind, and kept those judgements to herself, and not allow her predispositions to reflect in her tone, response, and how she was speaking to me. Especially when I started off the conversation letting her know that I was NOT trying to get more of the medication & that I had accepted the fact that I was going to just have to take the loss. I informed her right away of this and that my reason for calling was just to ask for advice & a possible solution to prevent this from happening to me again. But even still, I was treated very poorly & basically dismissed as a liar and a drug seeker. But again, I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble or escalate this to a level that is not necessary. Did it hurt my feelings? Yes. Do I feel there was a lack in customer service? Yes. Am I outraged and demand this person to be disciplined/fired? No. As again, I get it. I get why there is a stigma with this and why someone would respond to a customer this way.

Anyways, if there is Any additional information, advice, guidance, it would be so very greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your time, assistance, & consideration regarding my complaint.

Desired outcome: Any advice, information, suggestions, guidance, on what I can do to make sure that my medication is dispensed accurately, so I am not in a situation where I end up without my daily medication before the 30 day supply is supposed to run out.

Winn-Dixie Pharmacy Order

To Whom it may concern,

I have been a loyal Winn-Dixie shopper for over 30 years in Apollo Beach Florida. I started in your prior store on Rt. 41 and Big Bend road and continued when they moved the first time and now to the new location at store 242 Harbor Village Lane. I continued even though Publix is much closer. I have been getting my prescriptions filled there for years. On 05/08/2022 I went to pick up my prescriptions for Morphine Sulfate, I get 2 prescriptions every month, the clerk gave me a large bag of prescriptions, I told her there must be a mistake, I never get this many. When I reviewed the prescriptions and I saw the mistake. My doctor just hired a new clerk and many of my prescriptions which my insurance (United Health Care) has me fill through Optium RX through the mail, the clerk sent the prescriptions to Winn-Dixie by accident. When I told the clerk I couldn’t afford to pay for the prescriptions ($98.71) because I am on a fixed income. The Prescriptions are free through Optium RX. The Pharmacist Ms. Sarah Royal came over and told me she has a rule if I don’t get ALL of my prescriptions filled at Winn Dixie she will refuse to fill my pain medication. State law prohibits Morphine to be shipped through the mail. I had to borrow money from my neighbor to be able to pickup my prescription for my pain medication. When they found out why I needed to borrow the money they will discuss the problem at the next social club meeting here in Sun City Center. I called my doctor and told him what had happened, and he told me he has never heard this happening before and said he would call the pharmacy and get it straightened out. He said it was a mistake by his new secretary. If I don’t get all of my operations at a certain hospital, can they refuse to take care of me if I’m brought there from an auto accident? I wish you would look into this sad situation as I do not think Winn Dixie really wants their Senior Customers treated in such a way where profits are put ahead of a customer’s health. I would like a full refund for the prescriptions that I was forced to buy.

Thank You for your time,

June Stanton

Desired outcome: Full Refund

Winn-Dixie Cashiers

The cashiers or so called cashiers at this store are the worst. May 10, after 8pm. 2 cashier lights are on. No self check outs are on. 6 employees are visible, most are standing around not doing anything. 2 are on 1 cash register, one scanning and the other bagging. I asked, “Is this register open with the light on?”, They stare at me and don’t reply. Finally after standing in line, another female employee walks in and turns on the self checkout register light. I asked, “Is this self checkout open?” No reply. She walks away. I walked over and checked myself out. This store is always like this in Baton Rouge, LA on Siegen Lane. The other store in Prarieville, LA is completely opposite. The Prairieville store is always clean and the employees always say hi. Someone should talk to the employees at the Baton Rouge store

Thank you

Desired outcome: Just have a talk with the employees on the evening crews. They’re just being rude to customers by not answering. This isn’t the first time this has happened here
