I had my account closed 2 -3 months ago due to being in the negative. I tryed to resolve the issue with no result. I had went on vacation june 25 2022 and paid the hotel cash but had to keep my card on file in case of any damages. After we checked out and were home (july 2) ok july 4th 2022 my card was then charged for the hotel stay. I don't see how. Now my mother's account whom i'm on had been closed also due to this mishap. I did sign papers on nov 10 2022 to do payments so her account would be ok. I need to be contacted plz to resolve this issue. Thanks

Ruby violated my privacy and the hipaa
And I said I know im not trying to send any money here, very aggressive and loudly. So she gave me a printout but it had me the payee as the custodian. And I turned around wait back in line to see the same lady so I got back to the counter and said ma'am I didn't ask you to put custodian on my paperwork I asked you to printout exactly how it is on the screen no way in hell did it say custodian it says, the payee. So she started to readout out loud what is in front of her on the screen for other customers to hear. And I said ma'am do blurt my business out loud to everyone, please And she picked an argued with me about the payee and custodian situation. Very dissatisfied im paying the 200$ balance off and im going to close out my account and go elsewhere and I will write a review. I plan to get an attorney and sue her for violating my privacy and the HIPPA laws. I would like for her to be fired as well because she ruined not only the day but several others and people in the store were just staring at me. I felt humiliated. Transaction fraud
I told the bank teller in march (2022) that I was in no way affiliated with cashapp, and to start denying all transactions dealing with cashapp and to even call me during these occasions or even emailing me.
That was six months ago and three cards later and I am still getting money taken from my card via cash app and they’re refusing to reimburse me for my money lost. Which was well over 2 grand after it was all calculated. You’re supposed to be able to trust your bank to have your back.
Desired outcome: For my money to be returned to me since I specially said on a recorded line I do not have cashapp and wanted to be notified for these specific transactions

Holding funds longer than 7 days....
I went in the bank on 9/30/2022 to cash a check that I received from my attorney office that was more than 5000.00. I was told that there would be a hold placed but to follow up within 3 business days. I understand why the funds were placed on hold and that they would be released once the bank confirmed the other funds were cleared. It has now been 7 days and I'm sure the bank has cleared the check from the attorney. I called the bank like I was told but was advised just because my account is a newer account, the hold could not be removed. I have never experienced a bank that places a hold on the account and keeps it there even after they have confirmed the other bank funds have posted. My money won't be available until after 10/12/2022. I only opened an account with Woodforest because I received a check back in June 2022 and the branch Manager made having an account sound good and very convenient. It is not so convenient.
Desired outcome: I would like my money released today and I will go to my credit union to deposit future checks.
Horrible experience
reatening violence! And no even better able to cash a check for $325. Telling people they need to go to another branch or use the ATM? She even complained she had to drive 45 mins to work to cover for another person who called off work. That is not the customers concern. Being able to do my banking is. I live half hour away and drove there to get a check cashed that I was told I could. I even had groceries that melted before I could get home.
Disappointed customer! The man that works there is who I thought was the manger that’s who should be. He’s always friend she however is not. I hope this matter is addressed. As no one should experience what I had too. I shouldn’t have to feel unsafe in a bank or store.

Wire Transfer to a Defunct Account
On August 30th, I wired money to my son, $1,000. He called me to tell me he never got it, but when I told him the account, he said that account had been closed for over a year, if not longer. I sent another $1,000 to the correct account on August 31st and filed a claim with Wells Fargo to get the money back.
It is now September 27th and according to Wells Fargo, Woodforest has no intention of giving the money back, telling the Wells Fargo people that there is no insurance on wire transfers. They said the account I sent it to was still open and too bad. I wasn't getting the money back. Well, two weeks ago, I called Woodforest and they told me the account was closed. Now they're saying it's open and I don't get my $1,000 back? Please...I'm not rich. I can't understand why Woodforest won't give it back and why they have lied about the account, telling me one thing and then, turning around and telling the Wells Fargo people something different.
This is extremely disturbing. I am not rich. That money makes a difference to me. Wells Fargo has indicated that I now have to file a lawsuit against Woodforest bank. Can't you just give me the money back? the confirmation number is OW00002476605067 . The account that was defunct was

Need status of my claim filled
There was a complaint filed to this bank for the teller returning a SBA Small Business loan that I confirmed and acknowledged before the loan was even disbursed to my account. The loan was from the SBA and was for 20k and I was depending on that to advance my company into full operational status but the teller questioned me as if the loan was from his pocket in which the Lender from the SBA said that it is no reason for anyone to return a loan that was acknowledged before disbursement to ensure the bank that it was no scam fraud or of anyway associated with Woodforest being relevant to anything other than depositing and allowing the loan to be put into the account for the ability to be accessed and credited into the checking account that was used.
I was then asked for documentation that the loan is legitimate and after informing the teller that I could bring in the documentation of the loan, them was the time the loan was returned to the lender.
Now that Woodforest returned that loan i am unable to progress because the funding system are out of funds. I filed a complaint on 9-5-2020 and have not yet been updated on the return from the Monroeville al 36460 branches777 in Walmart store location. The return of this loan has caused a great deal of inconvenience and caused me to be unable to get assistance due to the lack of funds available now 2 years later. I want the update on the report and complaint filed on this altercation.
Desired outcome: I have been stripped of my SBA assistance for my ability to have the funds sent to me by approved for 20k. I want the update to the initial complaint from 9-2020

Illegal charges - no timely response after multiple attempts
Cancelled merchant services since may 2022 (changed to different PÓS and service all together). Have contacted merchant services every month since May (it’s now September) to cancel services and was told each time “done” and continued to be charged monthly fees (over $160 each month). Escalated now to supervisor who says charges were legit and no record of my calls except the August call. HOW can that happen and the get away with charging you for services that were not provided (clover charged another $45 each month on top of it). And on top of it, argue that they were not contacted. Very very upsetting. Lack of response and urgency and lack of trust. Unacceptable to say the least.

Woodforest allowed an unauthorized charge to go through my account
There was an unauthorized charge on my account from Microsoft. I reached out to Woodforest Headquarters to put in a dispute/case. I then received notice that they denied my dispute for the charge and charged my account $74.19. Woodforest allowed an unauthorized charge to go through my account for Microsoft 365. I called them and the representatives was very disrespectful Terri- caseworker and unprofessional. I told them that Microsoft didn’t have information for my card and they refused to gather that information in the investigation. I did not have that card that Microsoft charged and it was also expired on 1/2022. Woodforest should have never allowed that charge. Not one representative heard what I was saying because they were so busy covering up the fact that the card should have not been used. Proper investigations should take place on any usage of a card that is being used with out permission. Then the caseworker stated that there were two cards assigned to my account and it is in the policy there should only be one.
How is the consumer supposed to know that there is an active card just sitting and can be used by someone fraudulently.
I can’t believe the treatment and unprofessionalism I receive from a bank that I should have been able to trust. Something has to be done! You cannot treat people this way!
I finally got off the phone and contacted Microsoft and was reimbursed. I asked them what card was used and why they used it. They said that it should have not been used and the bank Woodforest allowed the charge to come through.
Woodforest needs to be more passionate about their jobs, or their going to have many more unhappy customers. It’s clear these 3-4 people I talked with did not value the customer nor themselves.
Desired outcome: Written apology from the Woodforest company for their unprofessionalism, disrespect and handling of the situation.

Lazy management
I’ve been a customer for of a month now maybe 2 months. I wanted to bank that i access to in Walmart.
I’ve never seen such a lazy manager in my left. The manager makes the workers pretty much take the whole line even if it’s just one of them. When the person at the teller is asking for help she clearly gets annoyed and acts like it’s an issue helping.
I’ve come in multiple times since it’s in Walmart to either her talking about employees or customers after they are done with their transaction. I’ve met the with dude that has the suit that was working and he acted like more of a manager than she did. Came to my surprise he was actually just helping fill in.
I know woodforest is a great bank and has a great location but that manager is I’ll take that place down . In the past two months I’ve been there it’s like maybe 1 or 2 ppl that I’ve seen that I actually recognize. You should start looking into your manager at that branch and worry why everyone doesn’t last long and get her proper training cuz yelling cussing and not helping your fellow coworkers isn’t the way to go

The customer service team definitely needs some soft skills and empathy training. I'm currently on hold for over 20 minutes to speak to a "supervisor" (when I initially only waited 7 minutes), because the previous agent was not helpful at all. She just kept repeating that she couldn't help me with an annoyed tone. Understood if you "can't help me" but when I ask you what do I need in order to facilitate my request, your response shouldn't be the same.
4900 garth road walmart branch
I am furious I went in yesterday to set up my overdraft protection I was presented with someone who didn't even know where the form was and then on top of that didn't even send the form in on top of which was given bad information was told by employee I've seen there the past two years that it would be ready within 24 hours it's been 24 hours and still not active I call the corporate office and am told not only was form never sent but now another 48 hours is a possibility to wait for what I was reassured would be today when really I needed it yesterday every time I go into this branch there's a problem the employees are rude don't know what they are doing and are so slow its ridiculous I will definitely be switching banks to a more professional customer oriented and knowledge of job branch I'm so fed up with the frustration of this branch and to top it off the employees literally lie about what they have told customers unbelievable I'm so upset right now I'm just fed up this was the last straw

I am on disability and get one check a month.two days ago my checking account was "hacked" and over $2000.00 dollars was taken. When it complained they acted like it was my fault when it was obviously fraud involving close to 20 unauthorized transactions. Now I have to wait at least 10 days for them to do an "investigation". Where was my protection? The withdrawals went on for another day after I complained. They even kicked me out the bank because they said I had a bad attitude.

I’ve got arrested 2years ago had over 15k dollars in my account upon release from prison my account was empty out all my money I filed a dispute claim gave them proper documentation that I was incarcerated for the time being along with police report that said I was a victim of identity theft and woodforest basically told me they can’t give me any of my money back in return they see no fault in the decision , it’s a slap in the face I went through every manager talked to everybody all I get is that I can’t re-open a dispute which is a lie I didn’t even get a temporary credit this bank is crazy I’ve been with them over 4years I put loads of my money in this account . Because my things was stolen along with my I’d, social, and Wallet I wasn’t allowed to get any money back because of the total amount I lost that’s insane

Racial profiling/customer service
The Woodforest National Bank branch had an employee that was very rude to me on Thursday morning around 9:45am June 16 2022. I have been commuting to work on my bike and stopped to withdraw rent money at the ATM. While at the ATM the employee who I had never seen before the whole 3 years I have been banking with your company, Started spraying disinfectant spray at eh ATM right beside me around continue to spray the spray in the area I was located. While I was trying to count my money I heard the employee say to the other associate that I "STUNK". Following me around the store spraying chemicals I didn't want to inhale is A health violation. The associates should near spray chemicals around a customer. Then to say that I STUNK was the rudest thing I have ever experienced at a place of business. I called corporate yesterday and no one has called me back. This is a very serious issue and I will be closing my account with your company. I usually get great service at this branch but having two employees from a different color follow me around spraying chemicals is not the way to treat anyone. Then to talk behind my back about the way I smelled is totally inappropriate. Please handle this situation and call me at [protected]. You should have video cameras in all branches to review my statement.

The last two times my son has been to the bank to deposit checks he has been treated rudely, insulted, and told there would be a two week hold on the funds.
He has had this account for 13 years, since he turned 16, originally opened in Magnolia, TX. I have been banking with Woodforest since 2001.
These last two incidents are the final straw in a list of issues over the years. He has made the decision to close his account, and I will be doing the same as soon as I can get my direct deposit set up with my credit union.
Desired outcome: For your future customers: 1) Your employees need to be made aware that rudeness and insulting customers will not be tolerated. 2) Two-week holds on checks??!!! In this day and age??!! Is that really a policy?
