Woolworths Direct to Car Trolley Noise
I live at Margate 4019 QLD
Waterview Apartments next door to Woolworths Margate are subjected to the constant noise of the Direct to Boot trolleys all day and up until 9 pm at night. We have on several occasions complained to the manager of the store to say they are going to fix the problem. It’s been 6 months and still the noise continues. All we ask is the put rubber wheels on the carts not plastic wheels, or fix the problem so there is very little noise. I’m tired of waiting and I know some people have had enough of the noise pollution. Please consider your neighbours and do something to stop the trolleys.
Kind regards
Chris Morrow

Desired outcome: A change to the trolleys to stop the noise.
Milk Chocolate Peanuts.................Baked Beans
How can your company justify an increase of 75c on a $2 item which is YOUR brand...Our luxury item which was our daily treat from $2 to $2-75 on a pensioner salary is a real kick in the budget!
Another basic pensioner food is Baked Beans and Spaghetti. THANK you for putting these up from 65c to a $1-10.
How can you say that you look after people when the battlers are hit the hardest!
Moonee ponds store customer service
I attended your store on Saturday 12/8 and proceeded to the register where Olga was working.
I first started my career at Woolworths, previously called Safeway. We were taught to greet our customers, cheerfully and service with excellence using the 5 C's.
Olga and another employee were having a conversation while serving me. I asked Olga to place the heavy bottles upright in my bag, she continued to speak to the other employee, not even acknowledging me. I found this rude, to which I questioned if they were to have conversations with others while serving customers. The other lady apologized but Olga became sarcastic and almost aggressive saying;
- I'm serving you aren't I?
- is there something else I should be doing ?
- she is my manager and I was just telling her something.
- then she clearly said my name is Olga, almost daring to make a complaint.
- Another lady with pink eyeshadow come up to ask Olga if she was ok to serve or if she was to take over. Almost as if Olga was serving a monster!
Clearly your staff NO longer care about good customer service or customer service.
Greetings and acknowledging customers is no longer important to you as a store.
You may be the fresh food people, but you are also a company that does not care about their customers. Your staff barely make eye contact with customers, too busy to break personal conversations to acknowledge your customers.
Your service is terrible. Worse then Aldi !
Perhaps you and Olga need to go investigate Coles store on Bulla road and see how Josie serves her customers, always with a smile.
As a local I'll be shopping at your competition where they all serve their customers better. Even Aldi and the self serve as the machine provide better service than Olga.
Desired outcome: Apology and compensation

Dear Customer Service Manager,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store on (POS 002 19:11 08/08/2023) at Nightcliff woolworths .The service I received from an employee I cant remember her name , was unprofessional and exhibited an attitude that appeared racially biased. She was being very rude by verbal even by expression.
I value the reputation of Woolworths and believe in its commitment to exceptional customer service. However, this incident has left me concerned about the treatment I received. I request that this matter be addressed promptly to ensure such instances are prevented in the future.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Anonymous
Desired outcome: Please Make her understand every customer is important and valuable , this kind of racism can be harmful for your business.
Fuel discount not being honoured.
On two seperate occasions I have presented my voucher to the service station to obtain my discount only to be told that even though the date is correct they refused to honour the voucher [which is attached to my receipt from Woolworths stating that even though the date was correct it was out of date when comparing it to the time I went shopping.]This is not good enough! this borders on false and misleading advertising as nothing like this is mentioned on your receipt. If this is the best that you can do then I may very well ring somrbody at the TODAY SHOW and tell them that this "OFFER" is not worth the paper that it is written on. Being pensioners we try to save where we can and have been a Woolies customer for more years than I care to remember. Thanks for nothing. J. Brooks [protected]@bigpond.com
Desired outcome: A reply stating why this is not false advertising
Delivery driver
I was dropping off my daughter to work and your delivery driver cut me off, he has space for half a car and cut in the left lane, with the glare of the sun in my face! Please discipline this particular driver, I have attached photos and a video of the incident. I spend a lot of time on the road and I know when there’s a bad driver out and about. Not a good look for your company.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and update.
Sunbeam sultanas
Maggots found in packing along with rat feces. I had just finished eating the packet of sultanas when i noticed feces in the packaging. i quickly spat out what i had left in mouth mouth to find maggots in my chewed up sultanas. I’m absolutely livid over this. I will be seeking further action from the city of melville to investigate the standards of woolworths mount pleasant. i have photo proof of these. Irregardless of council action, i will be also looking at legal advice. Your corporation is so greedy robbing the population and yet you can’t even look after the standards of your stock and store. Very very disappointed.
Desired outcome: An apology. No need to do a clean on my account, as the council health inspector will be out.
Scanning code of practice
An item scaned at a higher price than label showed on the shelf. When I brought the item to the customer court. the staff refused to follow the scanning code of Practice. He insisted on returning the part of the difference between the price I paid and the price label. the shop was wollongong Woolworths. Time was morning 24th July 2023. please check the details on the photos below. Thank you
Read full review of WoolworthsSlicing prosciutto at the deli
The deli pre cut the meat and slice it too thick and is normally rock solid by the time it’s sat out for an hour or two. I had asked numerous time to have it cut fresh and thin only to be met with “it’s already done and it is thin”. I have taken the pre cut meat more than once and it is normally cut as thick as bacon. This means when ordering 100g I get about 4 slices.
This happens at the Woolworths at Marrickville metro.
Desired outcome: Not to have the meat pre sliced so the customer can decide how thick they wish to have it. I would like a response to this and rationale for pre cutting.
Pride political agenda shame
I do 90% grocery shopping at your Store. LGBTQ is a lifestyle choice and we should all respect but it’s a personal choice. So what has my shopping got to do with LGBTQ? Don’t tell me how I should live my life or that my kids should be exposed to your non scientific political propaganda while shopping. I will reduce my shopping at Woolies and will eventually migrate to 100% Aldi. And will not come back till you stop your political campaign.
Desired outcome: Stop your political nonsense
Fresh cherries
For the last 2 weeks I have been unable to purchase fresh cherries whenever for sale. I put in order and when I get to checkout have to remove them operators I have spoken with say there is a proble4m and cannot explain. It appears cherries are blocked to me why? I sit on computer all day trying. Am totally fd up with service.
I am 85m disabled at walking and neary blind - injections in both eyes can't leave my house and am reliant on your home delivery.

Desired outcome: buy some b..... cherries!
Lamb Leg Roast
Brought a lamb leg roast from woolworths Coomera on 12.06.23 I took it home immediately. went to cook it the next day and it was rotten. Stunk the whole house out. Went to the Coomera store where I purchased it and they said they couldn’t do anything without me returning the meat. This is [censored]ing ridiculous, the meat is rotten what am I supposed to stick it in a bag and return a rotten smelly piece of meat that makes you want to vomit. and in the meantime whose going to pay to get my car cleaned of the rotten meat smell.w
Desired outcome: Replacement of prodduct
Deli being shut
Went in Roma Woolworths at 7:50pm on 11th July 2023 to do some shopping for my children for school lunches and the deli was shut at 7pm and the rest of the shop is still open. I work long hours and yes I normally do my shopping online because of how dysfunctional the shop is these days but my pay goes in late and I need food for my children for school and I...
Read full review of WoolworthsWoolworths Winston Hills Issues
Woolworths Winston Hills has an express lane. Saturday mornings I use this lane, however there are NO SIGNS to say customers have to line up at the drink aisle which blocks customers from buying drinks and blocks this passageway. Customers who have NOT been to this store before , don't know the line is down the drink aisle and its not the job of staff to police this. Its hard to get the products in this aisle if there are lines.
I spoke to a manager on Saturday morning and she said that they are not allowed to put signs up.
Call today Monday from James Martin a manager from Winston Hills who told me that signs can be used in busy times I consider Saturday morning to be a busy time and NEVER IN TEN WEEKS OF SATURDAYS HAS THERE BEEN ANY SIGNS UP FOR GUIDING PEOPLE IN LANES. This is certainly NOT what I have seen at this store and I feel the Manager on Saturday was more genuine, although obviously there are conflicting stories with different managers.
I have been to other stores including Woolworths ERMINGTON which is an old Flemings Store .
Being charged twice for an item
I did my shopping in Shepparton on Thursday 8th June and when I returned home to Strathbogie I checked my receipt as usual and found that I had been charged twice for a bag of Natures Gift Sustain Healthy Weight Chicken Dog food 2.5kg $11.50.
Now this my seem minor but as a pensioner paying another $11.50 for something is extremely hard on my budget.
A customer service person
Today at around close to 3pm I attended my local Woolworths at Plenty Valley.. I went about my usual routine and then headed to the checkout and saw an employee who I have seen many times and who knows me as a regular customer. While at the register this female employee said to me in front of everyone.. “ have you put on weight? “ I was taken aback by the question as being at the checkout that’s an extremely personal and inappropriate comment. I answered “ maybe why” The response “ I thought so I could tell by your face “ I was so embarrassed by this I even said “Why are you asking me?” Do I look bad or something? This experience has left me quite stunned. I work in the public sector and this was such an inappropriate thing to do or say. This employee doesn’t know me personally nor understand how personal comments can affect people. I was also surprised by the demeanour of her saying this with a smile on her face.. I went very quiet and left without further comment.. this is so unprofessional of this person and I am sitting here now feeling really triggered by her comments
Desired outcome: At the very least this employee needs a warning and further training to understand that personal comments especially in front of people at the register are not appropriate or acceptable.. a written warning would suffice
Change to 10% grocery shop conditions.
Hi Team,
Why no longer is my 10% discount going to be valid online? My wife and I are getting on a bit, and have been using online shopping since the beginning of the Covid shut downs. Going into a shop for groceries is a real imposition. The prime reason we took out Woolworths Insurance was the 10% discount on our monthly shop. Maybe we need to look at what Coles has to offer.
For your consideration.
Regards
Darrell Morris.
Desired outcome: Reverse decision on using discount on online shop.
Ivan’s patties and pies
I just bought a vegetable pastie from Woolworths metro in the plaza at 600 bourke street, Melbourne, and there are shreds of blue plastic in the pastie.
Not sure if the blue shreds are toxic…
They were embedded in the pastie and I only noticed half way through eating that they were scattered int he mix itself.
Pastie bought at around 12.15pm.
Customer service
A customer service check out person named Skye recently refused me service at woolworths because I had made an assertion about how poorly she served me at woolworths. She also called me a [censored] and told me I was yelling at her which I was not because I have a croaky voice due to having a cold it is not possible that I could have been yelling at her. I was surrounded by customer service staff who of which intimidated me and followed me berated and yelled profanities at me as I was trying to walk away. The manager yelled at me as I was trying to get out of that situation. I was trying to leave but she kept yelling at me and another customer service staff member also yelled at me as I was walking away.
Desired outcome: I want the customer service person sacked or reprimanded at best.
Prawns and oysters
Order #158171
I placed an online order for my mother for Mother's Day. This order included 1 kg of prawns and 12 Oysters. Both of these items were listed as AVAILABLE when I placed the order on 10/5/23. Two hours before the delivery was due I have notified the prawns and oysters were out of stock! My family live in Townsville. They were in Woolworths at the Kelso plaza on Saturday and there were plenty of prawns. My order should have been secured as it had been paid for. This is the SECOND time I have ordered and paid for prawns and oysters for my mother, only to be advised that the product is out of stock at the point of delivery. I now have no level of confidence that when I order seafood online for my mother that it is actually going to arrive. My aged mother's Mother's Day was spoiled because what I paid for ONCE AGAIN Woolworths proved to be unreliable. Very disappointing and very poor business practice.
Desired outcome: I request a response with guarantee that this will not happen again. When I order and pay for GOODS MARKED AS IN STOCK, I expect what I have paid for to be delivered.Dr Kathrine Grover
