Airtel company is not a trusted company verfication of customer id is by airtel company by just one phone if custmer is not available then cutoff the phone

I had got a new SIM connection based on the documents I had submitted at the ARC Ghatkopar(W). After 2 weeks , my outgoings got blocked saying ' I had not provided all the documents' . I called up [protected] . The person who attended my call simply asked me to visit Ghatkopar ARC and sort out the issue as he could not provide any help in this regard.
I was considerate and just asked him the contact no. at their Ghatkopar ARC and ironicaly he could not provide me the same and he said that a personal appearance has to be done.

I have just come to India from Amsterdam after a deputation there and work at Thane currently . Talking about globalization and IT India is leading in , is this the state of affairs of the infrastructure of a Pvt mobile company which compels the person to make a personal appearance , instead of sorting the matter on phone ?

Talk about developing India ? Thats a big joke !

I m an airtel user since last 3 yr on 17th September i had 5/- in my balance so i recharged with 15o/-top up and i received 135/- after an hour i found my balance only 7/- i call customer care every day but only reply to me was wait for 24hours i visited twice to airtel relationships center but no result was given to me and they started arguing with me and said me that i m not the the owner of the card can although i bought this card from an authorized dealer any one help plz

I have been using a prepaid connection from Airtel, with a lifetime validity. As I reside in a foriegn country, i brought the sim with me, later understood that my sim will be deactivated after 6 months idle time(then what is the mean of lifetime validity, God Only Knows).

Then, i started sending many emails to the customer care and learned that if i can recharge using any of the bank's site, the sim will be active. I tried many times with the banks and No recharge is done. My outgoing calls are baud as well as the SMS. I am not able to recharge, and the six months term is going to get over.

I emailed the customer care many times, and nothing is replied. And i even mailed the nodal officer responsible for my region and nothing is happening. If I lose my sim in this way, sure i got to sue this company when i go india.

I just started with airtel prepaid service. I have been getting marketing call too much, to avoid it i called the customer service, these guys don't even take the call seriously, when i wanted to make a complaint against customer care guy there was no supervisor to take the call, my call was disconnected 4 times. There was no one to get back to me. There was even no direct option in the menu to speak to a customer care consultant. My opinion is that Airtel Customer service merely means marketing their products and its no way concerned with customer satisfaction.

On the website of AIRTEL (link http://www.airtel.in/User_Voucher.aspx?path=1/6/6/2&cid=3) it is clearly mentioned that on a recharge of Rs 450, the talk time is 300. But since the last 2 months I have been getting only 275.

Called up Customer Care about 3 times. The first 2 times they agreed that I should be getting 300 and assured that I’ll get the remaining amount in the next 48 hrs! but this didn’t happen, both the times! When I called the 3rd time, the guy at the other end (after confirming with his so called supervisor) said that I will be getting only 275. When I told him that airtel website says 300 he asked me to write a complaint to the website itself!

I mean, are the callers not aware of the packages and what rubbish is this? Aren’t they and the website in sync? They should be taking this issue up! What if one sees the rates on the internet, selects the package and then is told by customer care that the website of airtel gives bull information?!?

as i have written before about my wrong bill till now i have not got any confirmation about cancellation of my old no [protected]. i am very diperss that i am getting daily call from airtel gurgaon and every time somebody will ask me for the bill.today i got the massage also that i have balace for aug and sept 07 bill balance .i am surprise that i have shifted in faridabad on 5th aug and airtel has alloted me another no in faridabad [protected]) and i am not using gurgaon old no then how can i get another bill.i am not responsible to pay any bill for the no [protected]. and if i'll get same torture
i will cancel faridabad no also and i will put a case in customer forum for torturing unnecessary.

please i have wriiten so many time look in to this matter and provide me confirmation for cancellation for the no [protected]

Airtel send fake bills continously for 3 months on a connection (+[protected]) which i had kept under safe custody(Rs.110/- per month) since 28th july 2006 till i brought into their notice. Meanwhile i had already paid Rs.17366/- which till date they haven't refunded. Another connection (+[protected]) which was also kept under safe custody on the same day went missing along with the Rs.5ooo/- or more deposit i had given. Please tell me what should i do. There are still more concerns but i am tired.Today its 20th October 2007

i am holding a airtel pre paid connection. mY TELE NUMBER IS [protected].
on 17 Oct 07 i recd a message from 6782 of airtel thanking me for downloading hello tune "Rock N Roll Soniye" and Rs. 21/- was deducted from my acount. I had never requested for this. Since 17 Oct 07 i have been trying to complaint through Airtel's call centre. but the response from the centre was atrocious.
Not withstanding this i had sent a SMS to the customer care centre. For this got a reply that iwould be contacted within 24 Hrs. Till date no response reseived frm them.
At this i would like to complaint that my hello tune may be cancelled and my money be refunded and i may be compensated for all the mental agont and time waste.
This complaint i am making after a very dismal and awful action from the Airtel call centre.

i got a call from some Airtel executive on 16th Oct (who was calling from Andheri(E) branch of Airtel)...he told me a plan to convert my Pre-paid number to Post-paid...i got interested in that and gave that guy my College Id and License as a photo Id proof...now after that i got 2 passport size photographs and No Objection Certificate to give to them, but no one has come to take it from me...i feel so irritated because of all this...my Pre-paid validity was about to expire on 20th Oct, but since no one came i had to get a recharge done of Rs 97 for a month's validity...now the call rates in this scheme is 2.25 which is too too costly for me(earlier i was in plan of 456 which had local call rates of flat 50paise)...i want compensation for all this...despite of calling them again and again, they don`t reply properly and no one has any sense of responsibility there...i want a REFUND of 200 bucks...I CANNOT KEEP ON WAITING FOR THEM AND GET TOP-UP DONE AGAIN AND AGAIN...

Airtel fooled me when i activated for mobile internet. I had 19.53/- rs in my account and after activating the internet 15/- Rs are deducted from my account. But no activation takes place even after amount is deducted. I called customer service and came to know that i had to maintain another 15/- Rs for browsing the internet. So many other times i used this service, but they are saying that this is mandatory now. There was no intimation for this to me. They should check the remaining balance before deducting the internet charges from my account. More i lost i lost my money as they refused to give it back and refuse to take complains at that time and suggests to take only after 24 hours. It is a disgusting service i experienced

I had purchased two sim cards under life time service scheme viz phone no. [protected] in the name of my wife Sweety Khera and [protected] in my name about a year back.I had to go to USA in November 06 and before going it was cleared that under this life time deal we will have no problem in reactivation.We have returned now in October 07.With the phone no.[protected] (wife's) had no problem in activation but the other one I am unable to get activated.
I request urgent instructions/action for the Jail Road Air Tel showroom or other agency suitably.

I had unsubscribed to "Missed call alerts" a few days ago and was surprised to note that today (29/10/2007) I have received a message "Your service to Missed call alert has been renewed and a sum of... has been deducted from your account". I tried entering the airtel website but have been unsuccessful. I will try calling them. I find it surprising that this has become a common recurrence with Airtel and would be happy if the Airtel customer service and those high above take note and keep the name of Airtel clear of such happenings!

we took airtel connectionfrom treaures ( dealer ) sanjaynagar bangalore at about 3 monts back, and we paid a premium of rs 5000/ to a particular no. the problem is every 10 days they will disconnect both out going & in comming if we complaint to them every time they say new reason, at last they told its adress verifaction problem, all ready we are holding 5 connections on the same name & same adress, we contacted ccr people they are so answer less and they are not even bother abt my complaint. its wise not go to airtel connection here after

This is regarding my AIRTEL PREPAID CONNECTION. I opted for one of the airtel services to reduce my local calling rates, so i spoken to their customer care executive , he told me to easyrecharge it by Rs88, to get airtel to airtel calls charges 50paisa and airtel to other network at Rs1. i easyrechagred with Rs88 on 19/10/2007 at 08:38pm. but the scheme is not yet activated. i have spoken to their customer care executives plenty of times but all in vain. i got no feedback, each time they told me either their systems are not working or down or they say we have registered your complaint and ll get back to you in next 24 or 48 hrs but no reply or feedback till date...
they are deducting normal call rates for my outgoing calls inspite of buying a paln to reduce my call rates..

I am custmer of airtel .I support this company by many connection to connect the aitel. at the time of thia company had gave to promise no clip charge in bill, but nearly today bill is charge the clip charge . so many complaint make on cc but not response . ons side many tipe of free and reduction offer give by company and other side charge the amount after free policy.
some call came from company and message remeting to custmer for scheme without the request . custmer not primium no. and company charge primium no . this totaly fraud .
that complaint sent to copany till not soultoin I am not pay the bill amount till not clear this matter ,if disconnect thisline I am not responsible and loss are cover by this company

I have purchase a Sim for 6 Years validity throu, your advertisement. I was told by the Airtel Office that 365 SMS
shall be given free and validity of the SIM is 6 years. However after activation I found that only 2 Yrs and 9 Months validity
has been given and NO Free SMS of 365 days.

I would like to now why your Advertisement and actual activationl is varying? Airtel should keep-up their promises
as advertised. Why it has not been carried?

No proper reply is given by the Customer Service on my querry.

MY MOBILE BILL IS GETTING DEDUCTED WITHOUT ANY DIALLING A NO. I HAVE NOT ENEN SUBSCRIBED FOR ANY FACILITY ON MY PHONE, NUMBER OF TIMES I DISCUSSED WITH CHITTORGARH AIT TEL CUSTOMER CARE SERVICES BUT THEY ARE NOT GIVING PROPER ANSWER AND SHIFTING THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES WITHOUT ASSIGNING ANY FRUITFUL RESULT. I have got 2 connections of airtel and i was promised that i will be getting good network. But the network was so bad that when i tried to complain them while i was in my house then the number would not get connected at all. I had to leave the comforts of my house and try to reach them. All the outgoing calls, i had to go out and make calls. Now, for incoming calls, i had no specified time such that i go out and hold my cell phone in air for it to receive the signal. Not that i stay in some remote location. I stay very much in Thane city and have been using vodafone network and reliance network with no problem.

At the time of connection, i had paid 500 rs deposit for each connection. When i got my first bill, i complained to them saying, i have bad network and i will not make the payments till i get proper network. They said, they knew the problem and that they are working on it. They requested me to pay for the phone calls i have made and not pay the rent. This was repeated for couple of more months.

But now i am tired of this phone service. Infact i have to provide service to airtel by leaning out of my window and talking to people and risking my life. The so called free incoming calls never reach me and my friends complain saying you are never reachable. And i say, its not me, its Airtel that is never reachable.

Having said all this, i want Airtel to refund my deposit of 1000 rs (500 rs each connection). They want me to pay the bill that i have received which i dont agree to pay at all. They are asking me to pay for the calls that i have made. Who will compensate for the incoming calls that were free to me but i could never get any of them. Who will compensate for the pain that i have gone through when trying to reach my dear ones (remember the leaning out of window act).

Having said all this, i would appreciate if airtel tries to improve the service rather than fighting with me on petty amounts which i will never pay to them and instead refund me the money that i have paid to them as i can never ever think of continuing to use this service which has traumatized me to this extent.

I had an airtel connection since 2000 and had a deposit of Rs2500/-. I got the connection disconnected due to poor services from Airtel.

No Bills for months.
Un-educated cust. care executives.
Putting u on hold for 10-15 mins.

Its four months and today even I called and I was directed to a BLACK HOLE where I was on hold for 12 min (finally hanged on) as my call was transfered to some officer. GREAT example of incapability of managing business by Mr Sunil Mittal.

Sure one day they will fall, as not good for growing economy

I work for an MNC where we have the Corporate connections of airtel. If we take that corporate connection there will be a free talk with in the CUG group. I have taken two connections from Airtel under the CUG group and i have been told that I will have free talk between both the numbers. But its since 10 months i am being charged for both the numbers and whenever i call the customer care department, they say that they will get back to me and i will receive a reference number by message. They also agreed on many occassions that its a mistake from there end and they will give me a refund for both the numbers, but its not beeen sorted out yet. I cant change the number because of some reasons.

But never expected for such a pathetic customer experience from a company like Airtel which spends lakhs and lakhs on just public adds but never treats the customers properly.

I didnt made a request or a call to activate my cricket plan in airtel. But they charged and charging Rs.50 for every ODI's and Test Cricket. I dont know why they are repeating this kind of things and cheating the customers. My balance goes and deducted a minimum of Rs.100 for india Vs Australia ODI series and India Vs Pakistan ODI series which i didnt put a request to airtel. And my final request is dont cheat the customer once for all. Call and ask them if they are really want to have this kind of request. With out calling and just simply putting a message to the customer, dont deduct the amount. It simply like cheating the customer...

It is to bring to your kind notice that i have been receiving unsolicited SMSes on cricket matches. My balance is being debited for the same on regular basis. You may kindly note that I have not made any request for such updates.

On this matter I had tried several times to contact Customer Care through 121 however, I could not reached to any Customer Care executive to express my grievances on the issue. The constant SMS updates have really caused lot of nuisance to my daily duty. Besides, that i got unwanted remarks due to noise caused by the unsolicited SMSes from Senior during meetings and conferences.

I would appreciate if prompt action is taken to contain the menace of the same to my Cell No. [protected].

My name is Amal Dev.A I have been using your service since 2005. I contact your customer care cell through my cell [protected] for a help relating the use of gulf calling card but your representative did give me any satisfied solution. They also misbehave towards me while contacting two times they have disconnected the line. Mr shamnad & Mr shambu attended the two calls. They told me they will connect me to their superior but I wait for around half an hour but there is no response from them. I try to use my gulf using the instruction in the card but I did get the line. Can u transfer the amount in the gulf card to my a/c ie [protected]. My card sl.no [protected].
I think u will help me soon. I have to do urgent call to UAE .

I got a airtel prepaid conection on November 2,2007.Now,I want to convert it to a postpaid connection.When I talked to the customer care over phone,I was told it can be done after a month's time.So,yesterday I approached an airtel showroom in Delhi(Airtel ,pusa road)to get it converted.
The representative in the showoom completely ruled out th possibility and said that the existing prepaid connection must be atleast 8 months old! I again reconfirmed it with the customer care over phone for atleast five times and again went to the showroom.The representative again, in a very rude manner sticked to his point and wasn't ready to agree with me.His approach was so rude and unprofessional that I'm afraid such representative's are a real shame for the group.
Can u people please tell me what has to be done?!

Customer Care & service is very poor in Airtel. I have following complaints from Airtel. They try to mint/rob money from customers in all the possible ways.

1. My number is [protected]. When my call gets over in 59 seconds airtel charges for two calls. They are extracting money from cusomters in whatever way they can.

2. As per my prepaid plan I can have one addon facility for one number and the number is [protected]. Inspite of deducting 20 paise per call they are deducting Rs.1.20 per call for the add on number. It is still continuing.

When I tried to contact customer care they don't give proper response. The customer service people are taught to tell only "sorry for the inconvenience, we will solve your problem". Except these words they do not tell us anything else, how much ever we ask them to solve our problem.

I have made repeated calls to customer care citing my problems without any result.

I THOUGHT airtel is BEST. I realized airtel is WORST.
I sent 6 mails to change my bill plan. Those bloody rascals didn't take any action. Again I called to customer care and raised two requests for the same issue. The day after tomorrow 2 guys from airtel called me and I told my problem. Those guys told that we will get back to you with in an hour. Stupid rascals didn't come back. Every month I am paying some thousand rupees to these irresponsible airtel. I am completely unsatisfied with this WORST airtel. And my number is [protected]

Couple of weeks back I took an Airtel instant postpaid connection But from then onwards I am facing thousand problems in the connections and millions of harassments. Within the last 10-12 days my outgoing was barred twice. This time I personally visited the Airtel service center in Andheri-Kurla Road Mumbai (in front of the CRISIL office). This was the place from where I took the connection. There was someone named Maria served me and every time I was asked to wait for some 4-6 hours to get the problem solved. I also contacted the service center ([protected]) few times. People simply were not interested in my problems. There were playing games. At the end nothing happened. So I walked down the service center and handed over my kit and the sim to them because they are of no use to me.

This is manish from Gurgaon,since last 3 days i am unable to make any STD calls,and i had complained a number of times to the costumer care AIRTEL(Gurgaon) ,but no one is trying to take interest on to my complain, one of the member (Airtel)told me that the number which i am dialing is wrong one,but on the other hand while i am using another cell it's working.so my suggestions to all is never keep faith on AIRTEL,its better to use other Brand.If this the service they are providing to there customer then better to use another Brand.

i often make call to cust care but icant get sattisfactory anwere frm ur agents & TL till now .
and i am very irrated from ur services and whenever i calling on 121 but ur agents are not giving proper answere and disconnected my call and ur TL name is LOKESH he is taked with me in rudeness & agents also
i have activted cri alerts of 30 rs rental in this matter i taked with LOKESH he is telling me u r not feedding us. and ur charges has not been rembures and he is tells me ur services is activeted after 1 mon...

pls call back me on my no. [protected] its very argent... otherwise i will take a legal action in consumer court. and i have all data of recoded calls of that rudeness...

exactly they are...
but more funny & confusing thing is that in same corporate people are fiting among each other regarding the statement whatever they are giving regarding customer care...
Yesterday at arount 12 o'clock put a request for plan change from talkmore to stud49 plan & after that at 3:30 p.m I recharge 97booster pack,after some time I received a sms mentioning my plan has change to stud49. So I called customer care whether I can use that booster on that plan they told no you cant but you can refund back the money from the dealer.
Today I went to that dealer to get back money Rs.97 but they simply refused to refundback without any valid reason,when I told that customer care advised me like that they told customer care are useless they are rong, after that they called to cutomer care when they told yes it can be refundable the dealer person started fighting with the customer care.
So I left that without refundback the money,after some time from customer care called me & told your money will be credited in your account within 2 hours of time.

I felt so funny...

my name is vishal and my no. is [protected].i am facing errors in to login in airtel messenger.i am paying all my dues but still i am facing problem in service since last 2 month.gprs helpline says that they can do nothing about my problem and customer care exicutives says that this is a technical problem and gprs helpline will solve it.but gprs are doing nothing.i have talked to them more than 50 times.but they are not donig anything.they asked me to wait for 48 hours more than 12 times.and 3 times the cutted my call during i am telling them my problem.is that how airtel customer care works?i want my problem solved in 2 days.

Airtel has been very inefficient in responding to my complaint. In fact, I find it very difficult to register a complaint. All I need is someone to visit my residence and re-activate my internet connection as I have installed a new computer and cannot find my original CD. Four days back, I managed to penetrate the user-unfrindly complaint system and could speak to a customer care executive. He informed me that my problem would be solved within 24 hours. However, nobody from Airtel has arrived so far. Poor show!
Today, I tried to speak to your Head Office at Gurgaon. I was connected to the office of a Mr Satish Kumar. The lady on the phone refused to let me speak to him. Instead, she said she would transfer the call - and cut off the call after making me hold for some 9 minutes. Don't I have reason to form a very poor opinion of Airtel. Can someone respond to my problem?

This is to let you all Know how sad AIRTEL is... Providing sad Network Coverages was an issue of mine by default but now even VALUE ADDED SERVICES. I called there Hello Tune number and was listening to various song and Pheli Nazar Mein ( RACE ) caller tune i have heard more than a Minute and i selected it as my CALLER TUNE. When i called back to my no [protected] to check back the same, strangely it played for only 20 sec as compare to normal Tring Tring of 30 sec. Ideally it wont make any sense a caller tune ringing on 20 sec. And even it was not inform to me that caller tune which i have selected will be played only 20 sec, if that would be the case i might not select that tune itself.

Its very sad from AIRTEL part, they are fooling the customers by making them hear the song more than actual seconds its going to be heard by people.

Airtel services have been regularly contacting me. to convert my plan from 'pre -paid' to 'billing'. As I had 2 connections under 'pre-paid' plan I decided to convert both to the billing scheme. I was informed that, an Airtel agent would come home with necessary papers. On 3rd of Feb.2008, necessary documents were submitted along with cash payment of 1200/-, against form No.s : B252972/B252965 for the enrollment forms.

I was also informed to contact Mr.Sameer on mobile no : [protected], for any further assistance. All the formalities and verification were duly completed but without any prior intimation, both the connections were de-activated on 8th Feb 2008. Receiving no information, from any of the Airtel assistance center and Mr. Sameer being beyond reach I contacted my nearest Airtel customer service center only to learn that the simcards were to be delivered at my doorstep by Mr.Sameer and that the Numbers were already 'active'.

I registered a written complain (which I am sure is going to fall on deaf ears), just to safeguard any discrepancy in billing and inspite of my repeated frantic calls to Mr.Sameer, I am informed by him that the simcards have been dispatched by courier service numbers : B58924/25. and would be delivered before noon on 10th Feb.2008.

Bad enough the simcards are still not delivered until 10pm, Mr. Sameer has conveniently 'switched off' his cell, since 4pm. Both the mobiles are inactive since 3 days and I am beyond anyone's reach besides which I had to incur expense by making calls to various Airtel centers.

I hope there would be some responsible personnel who would look into the harassment I had to go through on account of irresponsible and callous attitude of Mr.Sameer.

In case, my mobile is still not activated, I would have no choice but to contact the media and switch over to another reliable service.
