Angies List review: The deposit of $500.00 was never returned

My daughter is a long time supporter of Angie's list and was looking for a company to clean the grout from her floors and to do some carpet cleaning

She ended up retaining Reowned Painters, Inc. who also go by the name of Prestige home pros. She hired Paul to do the painting of almost her entire house. I, in turn, as her mother, also needed grout cleaning and painting done in my house

In September, 2023, I had the owner, Paul, come to my home and I agreed to have his company clean my floors and paint my house

I am 91 years old and my husband is 93. Shortly later, we found out that we had to replace the roofs of our home and my husband fell and fractured two ribs.

I called Paul and he understood and told me he would mail my $500.00 deposit back to me. I called him several times, emailed and never heard back

I thought he was a man of his word. He initially answered my calls and now he will not answer them.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and retained an attorney to get my deposit back

I would appreciate your help in this matter. If not, I know a lot of people and will never use Angie's list or have anyone in my very large community use your services
