The way that I was more or less let go after working there for 30 1/2 years
I started working for what ended up being Bank of America in April 14. 1980 at the age of 25. When I started to work there the bank was called "INDUSTRIAL NATIONAL BANK", then the Bank became "FLEET BANK" and years later changed it name to BANK OF AMERICA when they bought FLEET. When I started in 1980, I was supposed to receive a PENSION when I retired.
Well, when BANK OF AMERICA took over, they said an associate had to have at least 15 years of employment & be 50. I had 16 years, but I was only 41 so I could not be grandfathered in.
I had a lot of surgeries (neck fusion, hysterectomy, carpal tunnel on both wrists', both knee ACLS repair, both shoulders' repaired, degenerative disc disease. Then started having mental illness problems. Then I was diagnosed with CIPD which simply explained is the sheathing that wraps around your nerves in your entire body start to wear away and leaves you with tremendous pain and you start to lose the use of control over your body, I started having problems concentrating on my work. I was brought into a room by my manager and another sections manager and was told " don't come back to work until you are completely well". I told him you know, and I know I will never be completely well. I was out of work for almost 5 months when the department that handle our claims when we are sick started harassing my doctor's office to release me even though I was NOT well just so I couldn't qualify for "long term benefits" that I paid for years & years. So, I was forced to retire in September instead of the end of October which would be the 6 months I needed to qualify. My employment was April 14, 1980, to 3rd week of September 2010, making me an associate of almost 30 and half years
Desired outcome: I know I should have looked into this earlier, but I am wondering if anything could be done to get my pension of $800.00 a month.
close my credit card no reason
The reason for my letter is about the account that ends in 3840, recently I spoke with several representatives to mention some Milka, Linda, Roberto, Cruz, Sabrina, Samantha, and all of them told me that my account was suspended that they supposedly sent me a letter asking me for a copy of the social security, letter that I did not receive, the most interesting thing is that neither by email nor by the bank's app did I receive any notification from you on September 1, 2022, I realized that the payments that I had scheduled stopped going through , this brought me many problems because the payments were late and that brought me surcharges on them. I was talking with Martha and she told me that I had to send a copy of the social security and she gave me an email to do it but she didn't give it to me correctly and I didn't pass the email the email she gave me was rejected by [protected]@Bofa.com and I gave a case number ID [protected]. When I tried to contact them again, Mr. Juan told me that I had to send the email and gave me the email [protected]@bofa.com again and gave me another case number [protected], and I sent them a copy from social security, the last person I spoke with was Mr. Cruz with reference to the account but he told me that I had to wait for a resolution from the bank. I have been a customer on this account since 2015 and it was a rewards program account and I have never stopped paying. Or that a payment arrives late and I do not understand why they closed my account without notification, the saddest thing is that the rewards that I collect during this time simply do not want to honor them, since Mr. Cruz told me that the account is closed, I would like to have the opportunity to honor my rewards, since over time I collected $1031.69 and it is not fair for me to lose them for not receiving any notification that they were updating their database, and the worst part is that I have tried to speak on the phone with more representatives and nobody helps me. I just want them to give me back what I have collected for an emergency for so long...
Charge card
We paid the balance of our B of A charge card that was $142.00. However, my wife put in 14200 thinking the decimal point would go before the last 2 zeros. Instead she sent B of A $14,200 dollars. She called and said our bank account would receive a credit for th overpayment in 3 to 5 days. When we didn’t get the refund in 6 days, she called back and was told it would be 8 more days before we would receive our money back because she called back to ask about it. She was told every phone call would open up a new investigation and delay refund. That is not the way to treat elderly people. They have kept our money 2 weeks and we are afraid to call again to check on it because B of A said if we did they would have to open another investigation and that would delay the refund 2 week longer.
Desired outcome: Prevent B of A from taking advantage of elderly people who made a clearly honest mistake.
Makes me wonder if there are any good national banks out there.
buisness checking accounts
i called today to find out why my employees couldn't cash there payroll checks from my buisness accounts that had substantial amounts of money and was told that my buisness accounts were closed and that it was a buisness decision and that bank of america has the right to not disclosed any information for why the accounts were close i have been with bank of america for almost 15 years plus and have never have any problems with personal accounts but just open my buisness acounts less than 8 months bank of america said that they have sent out a notice which i haven't seen i need my funds now not 2 weeks later to pay my bills for my buisness and employees im a small buisness owner
Desired outcome: i need my funds released asap to pay bills and payroll
I had the same issue today. Account closed out of the blue, saying it was a business decision.
Management called police on a cash withdrawal
Bank of america will call the police on you if you try and take out cash over couple thousand! Yes no joke! I will not name any names but you can see pic and look up video on youtube, it was a customer of bank of america @6070 whitestown pkwy, whitestown in 46075
Customer took out $9400 and after a long time of them not wanting to give him the money and trying to find out exactly what he was going to do with said money he received and then immediately gets pulled over by the pigs and they start asking him about his bank transactions! So do not bank at bank of america, they will call the cops on you for taking your own money ouy
Desired outcome: They fire the employee who called the police!!
Now I really know I don't want to bank at B of A.
Disputed transaction
I received a product from a foreign merchant. It broke immediately so I filed a dispute that the product was unsatisfactory. I provided all of the information and the merchant disputed my dispute. BOA now wants me to provide more info (essentially the same info I’ve already provided) I called in to confirm that they legitimately needed a second opinion letter from another merchant that the quality was bad on the product. I replied that this is insane I can send a photo showing it was CLEARLY broken and the return policy made it impossible for me to send the item back. The BOA rep then told me you should make sure you’re purchasing from a good company next time. This customer service is trash and so is their dispute policy.
Desired outcome: A refund of the disputed transaction
I was charged a cancellation fee by a broker who lied and told me they were a local moving company in my neighborhood and "right around the corner from me". I authorized $50.00 for them to check if the card was active. They came to my home in San Diego, CA in a beaten up van with no DOT license to move household goods. They told me "We can't fit your things in our truck". When I asked them to please wait and let me call the company, they got in their van and abandoned me. When I called the company, I then found out the Company, (American Standard Moving & Storage) were in Boca Raton, FL and a moving broker, not a moving company who sent an unlicensed van to my home. The woman on the phone asked me several times if I was cancelling and I told her, "No", "I wanted them to send me a licensed moving truck". I warned Bank of America during chargeback "Please, do not pay them, they are scam artists". This Broker tried to charge my credit card $1,398.00. I never was sent or saw a contract. I never signed anything. I followed Bank of America's directions to write a letter explaining everything. I did this immediately. Bank of America sided with this scam artist broker company in Boca Raton, FL. (This broker company is now closed down from stealing from a high number of customers). Bank of America told me they would investigate. Better Business Bureau is all they had to investigate to see what kind of company this was. Evidently Bank of America did not do this. Bank of America almost doubled the $1,398.00 balance on my credit card with "over the credit limit and other interest rate charges". I had this credit card paid early every month to zero balance for almost 4 years. I had other accounts in very good standing with Bank of America as well.
Since August 2019, I have had three frauds on my credit card. Bank of America wants me to state I had Identity theft with the broker moving company. I have been in dispute with Bank of America since November 2019. This has been a nightmare, as Bank of America promptly reported false information to all three credit bureaus and wiped out my "Very Good" FICO score. I have no FICO score. They also wiped out all of my mortgage history, car payment history as well. This has destroyed me financially. I want my FICO score back and the debt erased from the credit bureaus.
Zelle Scam
I was telephoned by a 'BOA representative' disclosing fraudulent Zelle activity. I was told to log into my account (which I did) and watched my checking account be drained of its last $600. I disputed the charge. Bank of America would not credit my account for fraud claiming they have no responsibility for Zelle transactions.
Until then, I was not alerted that Zelle was a contracted service not supported by Bank of America even though Zelle has been attached to my banking accounts without permission.
I would like to escalate this complaint to recover my fraudulent Zelle activity.
Desired outcome: Zelle Fraud
September 20th, 2022
I had to travel to the East Coast to care for my critically ill mom, and unfortunately managed to contract Covid 19 in the process. That said, here is the information regarding claim #Account ending - 3605
Claim ID: [protected]
On June 8th, 2022, I purchased 2 tickets to a concert venue through the My Ticket Tracker webpage (see attachment #1). The webpage was quite deceptive from the start: It appears I was being charged $510 for my tickets. When purchased, the amount charged was in fact $1020.00 for 2 concert tickets-18 times the face value cost. In addition, upon checkout, a $336.60 ‘service fee’ was added without my approval or consent-totaling $1366.55. I have never received any tickets for my venue service.
I immediately attempted to contact the vendor to cancel the transaction. No one answered the telephone line, there was no active ‘chat’ activity on the site, and the response to my email was an automatic response that did not acknowledge my billing concerns.
I immediately reported my billing concern to BOA. I received a temporary credit on June 24th.
On September 9th, my credit was reversed on the day I had to fly out to visit my mom in Hospice care. I did not receive an email, text, letter, or call alerting me of the reversal. This charge back has been DEVESTATING financially and emotionally. You can see that innumerable payments have been returned, causing me extreme debt in vendor ‘reverse fees’ as well as an enormous hit (56 points) in my credit rating. On the way to say goodbye to my mother, I was on the plane at a -$897.00+ bank balance.
Upon examination of the initial transaction claim, this claim was filed as a fraudulent claim rather than a billing concern. This action, on Bank of America’s behalf, was incorrect from the start; thus, resulting in the credit reversal ‘not finding fraud’.
During my time that should be spent with my mother, I have been on hold and passed along for several 3-hour long hold times to clear up this matter to no avail. As recently as this morning, my account continues to be in the red, with returned credit payments accumulating.
On September 12th, 2022, I alerted the vendor that the concert event was permanently cancelled and requested a full refund (see attachment). The vendor acknowledged the cancelled venue, yet I was told by the vendor via email to pursue my refund from my bank rather than from them (see attachment). Since that time, I have reported that interaction with BOA and yet to have a reversal. The vendor no longer returns any emails on behalf of my charge, nor do they ever answer their telephone.
This webpage has got a 1-star rating, has been investigated for ‘scam’ activity and has thousands of BBB complaints.
PLEASE consider crediting this billing issue on my behalf immediately so I may get back to clearing my negative balance, repairing my credit, and saying goodbye to my mom with an open heart and mind.
Please contact me immediately if you have any questions or concerns in this matter.
Respectfully,
Korey Wilder
9/25/2022 STILL NO RESOLUTION!
Frad of Pure Health Research They charged my cared 333.62. I did not authorize .
The Company PureHealth Research
The charge $333.62
What happened: I made a purchase from PureHealth Research for around $80.00 dollars. After paying they said their order is incomplete and kept making offers with a no thank you on the bottom and or add to cart. Even though I keep saying No thank you. the popup kept coming. I finally stopped the process only the see that I was charged $333.62. I did not receive any extra product. I was surprised to see this charge on my account. I contacted Bank of America and they filed the complaint. This letter said that I had to distribute this claim and I am doing this now,
The account number ending 7439
The case number is117051863
This case is a fraud and paying them the money that I do not have is not an option.
Desired outcome: Please refundI am sick at the moment and I thank you for your service.
Credit Card Report
Credit card was opened 2 years ago. For 4 months BofA had reported to the credit agencies, I saw my FICO score. Then stopped. They say they do, but the report says the opposite. For 1.5 years now. Statements from the bank are OK, regular. But on the report from the credit agencies I have zeros, they do not reflect any of my bank statements at all. I lost my credit history. They are "feeding me" with "come/call later, we'll fix it'. Nothing has been done so far.
Desired outcome: Change the incorrectly reported data for the last 1.5 years, report in correctly, delegate some functions to your representatives, they are too underpowered
Credit card
I had a credit card with bank of America for 17 months and out of the blue they notified me today that they closed my account effective September 16th, 2022. The account was paid in full, I never had a late payment with them ever. Credit Karma on equifax shows they closed my account on the 1st of September 2022. This is not even right let a alone even fair to me.
Desired outcome: Reopen my card that I didn't owe anything on
It has been over 2 weeks since I initially reached out. Is someone going to contact me?
Credit cards
In 2017 someone used my social security number to open a credit card account. In February of this year I discovered this when checking my credit report and saw that the ca d was in collections. I have called them at least 15 times and been on the phone with multiple people for over 9 hours trying to obtain a copy of the application and info used to open it. I need the info to press charges and they are not giving it to me. How can just anyone use someone else’s number to open an account with no proof of who they are or a signature yet I can’t get the info I need to prosecute?
Desired outcome: Repay me the amount I paid to get it off my credit report
I want all the past fees since last year on my checking and savings accounts to be waived. I want that money back.
I have been banking with Bank of America for over 10 years and they have started first charging me monthly maintenance fees on my checking account and then on my savings account, which has now been overdrawing both of my accounts since I have lost my job due to COVID, when I questioned a representative via phone they said that if I were to have a direct deposit set up on my checking they would waive the fees which I did since I was working a temporary job at TaskUs back in 2021, Aug 20 I had a direct Dep of $838 come thru and again on Oct, 15 a direct dep went thru for $685, yet they still charged me the fees on 8/16 & 10/14.; Also they have started charging me on my savings account since back in Sep of 2021, a fee of $8. These fees should be illegal for right now since COVID it has been hard for me to keep a full time job and and all they are doing is keeping me in a hole. I have tried complaining but never get anywhere and the fact that even if I do get a job and set up a direct deposit from past experience they are still charging the fees. I want them to waive all those past fees they have charged me since last year.
Fraud department NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE!!!
I have been a customer of BofA for over 20 years. Yesterday I received a text and an email that there was suspicious activity on my BofA credit card and that I should call them right away. I have called 16 times and each time have been put on hold for at least 30 minutes, meanwhile NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE. I have wasted SO MANY HOURS over the past two days trying to reach the fraud department to get this situation resolved- I can see there are over 2 dozen fraudulent charges on my card. The last of responsiveness is absolutlely TERRIBLE!
Desired outcome: Have a senior person from the BofA Fraud Department contact me immediately to resolve this issue. Or hire more people to answer the phone!
my account being closed
ok I was very upset because the bank closed my account and the crazy thing about it is just, I had just got the account I pissed because everyone was giving me the run around about then I was told that business reasons I pressed them to tell me because I wanted to know I'm like I haven't did anything when I did finally speak to someone else, they told me risk closure and was told me they don't have to have a reason to close my account they can do what they want the only thing that came out of this they sent me a check what was in my account I would not recommended this bank to anyone
Closing acct reporting to Chex system

These 2 checks were awarded to me from incentives they were doing for families in financial hardship during Covid. I deposit them via phone due that I was in line but it was just too long for atm deposit. I was told my account was to be close

Customer Clerk
While standing in line at the rainbow and warm springs location in Las Vegas the customer clerk with short spikey blonde hair was screaming at an elderly gentleman who you could tell his native language was not English because he was requesting a service he was given in the past. He was very rude and degrading to the elderly man. It even made the gentleman want to close his BOA accounts because of the hostility the customer rep proceeded to give towards the gentlemen. If this is the type of service your company wants to provide it makes me and others question why we’re banking with this bank.
Desired outcome: Rep be trained in customer service or fired he doesn’t deserve to work for this branch.
Zelle
I was scammed by someone posing as a Bank of America employee (my caller ID showed Bank of America when I answered my phone). I was told someone was attempting to take money out of my business account through zelle and I needed to hurry and send the money to myself so that they couldn't get to it because we might not get it back and we could deal with the attempted theft after we kept money safe.
Needless to say, they took my money. As soon as I realized what happened a called back the number on my caller ID and was connected to Bank of America. I told them what happened and was assured the money would be put back in my accountant within 10 days even while they investigated. This I was told 3 different time. (Within 30 days) No resolution. I filed a complaint with the government. They sent it on to BofA who determined that I was at fault. No responsibility on their end, though they would attempt to get the person who received the money to send it back. What? And at that point, they washed their hands of me as did the board I files the grievance with. Nothing! They have done nothing! While in the meantime I have gone further and further into debt. Because none of my creditors care that the bank won't give me the money back. I think some of then think I'm making the whole thing up since the bank would have to give it back to me. They are insured! Well, I thought that top. I'm desperate to get the money returned. I can give you the name and phone number of the person who made this determination if any one can help.
Desired outcome: A public apology. My money back. Interest, compensation for business lost, my credit restored and compensation for the emotional distress.

Credit card department and the representatives who have a complete inability to listen
In early July of this year I saw a charge from Costco to renew my membership for another year. I did not authorize this nor do I ever remember allowing Costco to keep renewing my membership for the duration of my natural life. I questioned the charge twice with BofA. I tried to call Costco twice and because they have an automated phone system which never ever gives an option to speak with a live human being I was unable to resolve it with them.
I received a questionnaire from the Claims Department asking me for more information. I gave it to them and mailed the form back.
I heard nothing and the charge is still on my card.
I finally called and read the riot act to a person on the phone who represented Customer Service. I told her if this was not resolved I was closing my account.
Evidently, BofA doesn't care. They sent another form asking for more information and this charge is still on my card.
I'm done. I've had this card with BofA for over 40 years with no late payment — ever. If you want to coddle Costco with their preditory business practices go right ahead. I'm through doing business with you.
Desired outcome: Take the Coscto charge off of my card immediately. I don't want to hear anymore ridiculous replies from you that you can't do this.

Bank of America Credit Cards [protected].
Processed payment that was submitted on the due date of 2-19-22, and then rejected payment for no apparent reason. Funds were in my BofA checking account to cover. I received a 30 day late on my credit report. Card Services refused to do anything or reverse the 30 day late.
This is the only credit card company that I have had payment issues with. Also, unable to submit payments on weekend due dates, which seem odd.
Desired outcome: 30 day late backed out.
