Canada Post canada post truck/van partially blocking a portion of the crosswalk (crossing lights are at intersection) sw corner of berkeley (at king)

Hi,

Very often during the work week, around 4:15 or 4:30 (during the week), a Canada Post van/truck is parked at the SW corner of Berkeley & King, while he delivers parcels in the area. The back of the truck/van extends over the lines of the crosswalk on Berkeley (there are lights at that intersection). I would estimate that the rear of the truck extends 1.5 to 2 ft into the area reserved for pedestrians crossing. Obviously this is an inappropriate spot to park a large van, for a number of pedestrian safety reasons.

Problems that this creates:
- The pedestrians crossing on the green light to get SE side of Berkeley are forced to walk out farther to the left of the back of the van) which makes them more vulnerable to vehicles making a right onto Berkeley Street

- The proximity of the large van completely blocks the pedestrians view of any traffic travelling north on Berkeley towards the Berkeley (& King) intersection.

The length of the van/truck obviously exceeds the parking spot. In the past I've mentioned to the driver that he's partially blocking the pedestrian crossing area. He immediately moved, which I appreciated, since he should not be parked on that corner, if any part of his van blocks a portion of the pedestrian's area to safely cross the street. Unfortunately he is doing it again.

I've provided a few pics to identify the van. I would have taken a pic of the back of this vehicle, but on that particular day, one individual (who works or resides in a building nearby) started verbally abusing me for taking pictures and for mentioning to the driver that we had spoken before about the van being parked there. He advised me that he was a friend of the driver (whether that's true or not, I don't know). The issue is the right of pedestrians to cross safely at that intersection.

If you look closely at the windshield of one of the pics, there is a parking ticket on the window.

What I'm looking for by writing this complaint is the assurance that this vehicle/driver will not park there any more. Please direct this driver to find somewhere else to park his van while delivers. I realize that it's hard to find parking spots, but, the safety of pedestrians should be first and foremost.

Canada Post no delivery, tracking says “redirected to new address”

I have been waiting and watching the tracking of an order I placed from a retailer that was shipped Canada Post. It was supposed to be delivered over a week ago. Every day since the tracking has alternated with "out for delivery" or "redirected to customers new address". I do not have a new address, the address provided to the retailer is correct. I have called 3 time but no help. The customer service rep was busy saying exactly the same as what the tracking said? Or busy blaming someone else? Where in heaven's name is my package? What is going on?

Canada Post unethical behavior

While I was taking my daughter to school on June 13, 2018 @ 7:50am I was driving southbound on Everridge Dr SW Calgary, a white minivan with a Canada Post topper passed me on the inside lane going thru a playground zone. He was exhibiting dangerous/illegal driving by tailgating me thru the playground zone and speeding thru the playground zone.

The driver of the van was male with the licence plate LUN-851

Please ensure all your sub-contractors are aware they represent Canada Post while driving and this type of behaviour is not only illegal - but damages the reputation of Canada Post.

Canada Post delivery in brampton ontario.

We did not receive any statements from our bank for more than three months. I called the bank and they said they were sending them and to confirm our address. We did and they allowed me to print copies of the statements. We discovered that during the three month period, we had been charged interest on our account as we had missed the due date in any payments that we had made after requesting the amount by telephone.
On Thursday June 7th, we were informed that our address had been blocked as a statement dated March 11th. had been returned by Canada Post as address unknown! The Bank staff automatically blocked the address.
Why had the statement been returned by Canada Post?
It has cost us more then $130.00 in interest charges because of the post persons fault in not delivering the statement.
We have been missing several other items of mail which, to date, have not cost us any interest charges or other costs. What is happening to our mail delivery? We are not computer savvy and rely on the mail!
Please advise how you intend to cover our losses!

Canada Post smoking in my face

Canada post
Topic: delivery employee feedback
Ticket number: 0125978532
Submitted: 2018/05/28
Twice a week I go to physio in new westminster bc, mostly at the same time but not always.
Consistently there is a canada post parcel delivery truck parked at a curb, adjacent to community mailboxes.
A driver sits on truck steps, feet on the sidewalk. She lights a cigarette just as I approach so that there is a cloud of smoke in a constricted space.
I've requested her to not smoke in that location repeatedly.
This has happened about ten times.
Finally, I called the 1-800 number but did not get a confirmation? I made another complaint and subsequently got a call from a local supervisor. (he agreed with... No smoking in government vehicle, public has right to pass by without exposure to allergens etc).
Following day the truck was parked one block down the road but exactly the same scene. This driver will not respond, remains obstinant and now walks directly at me even closer.
I was deceived by the supervisor and the driver is trying to instigate a scene.

My follow up will be on youtube

I understand that a person would be upset with a Canada Post employee in New Westminster representing the post office in a less than professional way. I have worked for a large City for many years and we have always been told we are representing the City at all times and certainly this kind of behavior (smoking) would not leave a person with a good feeling about Canada Post in general. I have a mailman in the same area who smokes non stop while delivering mail door to door. I am often in my yard and he smells like smoke, walks in a cloud of smoke and just looks very unprofessional delivering with the cigarette either hanging out of his mouth or between his fingers as he leafs through the mail. I am very open minded but is this really the place to do this? You would never see a Policeman or a UPS driver approach the house with a SMOKE in his hand. Is it OK if my mailman does this?

Canada Post unprofessional supervisor [protected]@ ext. 2003

It is very surprising that this unprofessional man is a supervisor! Canada post have you ever heard the saying "you are what you eat" well if this very impersonal/ill-mannered individual is leading a team of customer service reps, he is grooming them to be disrespectful and unprofessional just like him! His narcissistic leadership style is repulsive to say the least!

Canada post lost our package and for the past two weeks we have been going back and forth with them.in my attempt to explain the situation (because clearly he did not read the notes in canada post's system before calling our place of business) he rushed me off the phone and told me to go pick up the package at the orchard park (we went there6 times and each time we were told by greg/lori that the package is not there) and then he hung up on me! This man is very unprofessional he would not allow me to speak! As if we are at fault for loosing the package!

Canada Post I am complaining about a delivery woman

Good morning

May 31, 2018
Around 9:30 am

My phone number is if you need to contact me: [protected]

This morning a delivery woman buzzed, I buzzed her up when she came to my door she bang really hard on my door like someone was really angry kind of bang and I am not exaggerating. I answered she handed me the envelope sign here I was trying to sign which was not working right I said its not working she just grabbed the pen from my hand and left, I was really surprised how she acted so rude if my mother was alone here, cause the letter was for her, geraldine wardman shes on oxygen and walks really slow. How would that postal woman treat my mother if she was here alone. Makes me concerned for other people who are not well how she treats them. I wish I would have got her name but I was so surprised how she treated me. I really do hope you don't let this woman get away with treating people like that. She is representing your company. Place her in the mail room or somewhere she won't have to deal with customers. Please do something about her don't sweep it under the rug. There are so many people who would do well at her job your not stuck for employees a lot of people would love to work for canada post.

Canada Post demeaning, racist postman at the door

Anticipating home delivery from canada post always always make my stomach crawl in dread of the rude, racist attitude of the post guys at the door. They have a chip on their shoulders to see that they are delivery a package to a person they see as not their ‘race', and they seem to sneer and the look of contempt on 90% of these postmen faces is so full of smouldering racial bigotry and hatred, it really distresses one to see and experienced as directed to your person, you. They bark, yell at you, drop the item or carry it so you think it is not heavy and suddenly drop it in your hands so that you fall forwards. I am 5 ‘ 2' and not a particularly large person. I am also of african descent and work from home. I am writing and drawing and arranging prototypes all day or doing any number of online research. These post men are demeaning in their attitude because one is "black" and ‘at home'. And because this is ‘canada' there is no chance of any of their refusal to delivery our mail or their contemptuous attitude towards you considered ‘racists. Racism apparently does not exist in canada.

Canada Post roberta moon

My local postmistress! I mailed a document to my legal counsel on may 22. My neighbor approached me on may 25 and advised me to change my mailing habits as she had overheard her neighbors discussing the contents of the pkg that I had mailed.
The only possible way that the contents of my personal pkg became the topic of local gossip is if the postmistress.. Roberta moon.. Opened my personal and private mail. I do believe this is against the law!
I am in mulhurst bay, alberta.. A very small, gossip town. The postmistress.. Roberta moon is the biggest gossipmonger in town. I believe that she opened the package that I was sending to my lawyer. If I find proof that this is the case I will be bringing a lawsuit against both canada post and roberta moon. I believe my privacy has been seriously breached and am looking at taking legal action. You can reach me at [protected] or by email at [protected]@gmail.com

Canada Post canada post often does not attempt delivery and claims they do

This is happened on many occasions where I was home all day waiting for my delivery to arrive and no one comes to the door (I live in a house and have provided every detail of my address). When I leave the house in the evening or the next day I find a delivery notice card at the door even though no one actually attempted to knock the door. I understand that I need to go to the postal office if the package required payment for cutoms and shipping but these did not.

Canada Post fraudulent delivery information - class action lawsuit

Tracking number [protected]

I purchased an a/c unit at best buy downtown toronto and was given delivery date by canada post of 5/23/18. I took the day off work to be home for the delivery which I was told would be 9-5 am. I called your customer service number 3 times today to get updates or information as your tracking info on your website said it is out for delivery. The second cus service person said if you don't have delivery by 5 pm it won't be made today. The third person said this is incorrect and deliveries can be made up to 8 pm. However, she also said it was weird as the scan info she was reading didn't show it was out for delivery but sometimes these updates all come in after delivery. It's now 7 pm and I have been waiting in my apt since 9 am this am. Took the day off work. The item is a 65 lb unit which I will now have to carry almost a km from your local post office. What kind of mom and pop, rinky dink operation do you people run. You have no regard for customers sitting at home all day - losing $ 500 pay to accommodate you, to make your delivery commitments. Yet all the information I was given today was either conflicting or as it appears now just simply untrue and fraudulent. I will start a blog about this sort of utter disrespect you seem have for the customer and with a legal background will look into a class action suit with others in the on-line community, against canada post for your fraudulent delivery information reported at least 6 times to me today.

Conduct your self accordingly,

Canada Post registered mail

I sent a registered mail with a birthday card and $100 in it for my nephew in the States.
The mail showed that it was processed and reached the States. Canada Post is not able to give account for my mail. They are blaming me for putting cash in the mail. They should look at their dishonest employees that steal.
The letter disappear off the radar. Its not as if they took the money out and delivered the card. I thought a registered mail would be safe and secure.

Canada Post late delivery of mail and parcels from the uk

We live in Kelowna. We get mail from our family in the UK. This last Christmas our daughter sent us a parcel weighing 335 grams and costing £8.05 ($14.70) to send. She posted it on the 7th December 1917 - it arrived today May 15th, a total of 525 days!

This is a common thing. We had a birthday card and present which took 42 days.My family makes a joke of Canada Post because of the time it takes for delivery. Despite the items being sent weeks prior to the required delivery date, they never do arrive on time.

The Royal mail cannot be blamed as my family send parcels and cards all over the world, and they invariably arrive in time. This last item is the last straw.

What on earth is the below box "Select Category"?

Canada Post unethical behaviour and incompetence

I visited the Canada Post office at First Canadian Place on Feb-20-2018 to mail a letter to Singapore. The clerk, here name is Rosanne (TR2527259), said I can pay extra and get tracking, total cost $18, with Tax it came to $23.90. The reason for sending this was because it was time sensitive. I have been checking on-line for weeks and the status shows IN-TRANSIT. I thought it was delivered but maybe the system was not recording it accurately based on what I was told on similar posts in Canada.

Today, on 15-May-2018, I went back to the Canada Post at First Canadian Place in Toronto and mentioned my complaint to the clerk; not Rosanne as she was not in. The clerk said that firstly there is no tracking for mail outside Canada and destination code was incorrect, it was NL when it was supposed to be for Singapore.

Now It was a simple letter I was mailing and I was very clear and specific about the destination and sensitivity of the item. The clerk upsold me on the price, entered incorrect information and my mail never reached it's destination. I feel lied to and cheated by this clerk. Generally, I find clerks at this location always trying to charge more mail.

I got an email that a parcel was being shipped with a tracking number. Yesterday there was an update on the tracking to say that they rang the door bell and no one answered. This was a lie as I have a door bell with a camera and no one came to my door. The post person just put a notice to pick up at the near post office and left the notice in my community mailbox and did not leave on my door at my house. They lied that I was not home as I can see they did not even try to deliver the parcel to my house as I am alerted on my cell that the door bell has rung and I can see if anyone rang the doorbell. Today I had to go twice to the local post office to pick up the parcel. This employee needs to be taken action with. This is down right untruth and not doing their job.

I just phone Post Canada to ask them whats going on?
A $6.46 (CDN) purchase (2 rubber o-ring) expidited through ''express'' USPS was received 5 weeks ago at Ville St-Laurent, Canada (31 mai 2018) and due for delivery in Quebec City.
The usual '' ... its the custom delaying the delivery... '' was served to me and please contact the US shipper to see whats going on. Ya, he will be able to get Canada post to stop lying. It took 2 days for the envelope to reach Canada and one month later I am still whaiting.
Tried to lodge a complainte on Canada post web site. They sure made it impossible to give my feed-back on their site :-) smart guys. but it is possible to use their snail-mail to write to them. so this might explain why my envelope is strugeling to get to me.
This is not the first time I have issues with them. Time is more than over due for the foreclosure of Canada Post.

Canada Post delivery person

In a condo- or apartment building, is the carrier delivering mail to boxes in a locked mail room, allowed to take 'in-house' notices from landlord/manager and put them in all (107) mailboxes in that mail room? I thought it was only Canada Post who can deliver flyers to those individual mailboxes when classified as flyers. They get paid per flyer don't they?
When I called our manager out on this, he was quite perturbed with me, because the letter carrier had told him that it is fine. 'She said she would do that'. Am I right, or are both carrier and our manager wrong?
We feel that it is a loss of privacy when the manager has in this way access to our mailbox.
Occurance: May 11-2018

Canada Post mail box keys

I bought a new house, trying to get mail box keys. Keys pickup location 21 Haist in Woodbridge ON opens late and closes early. Closed on weekends as well. It appears every effort was made to ensure no one with a regular day job can get there without taking time off work. What dumb and ignorant arrangement... with thousands of post offices around working convenient hours.
