Lost mail
I am currently travelling around Latin America and two months ago, I was in Guatemala. While there, I had asked my father to send me a package from Canada that included a driver's license and a couple of SIM cards. I had requested that he send the package through FedEx since they guarantee delivery and Canada Post does not. I have always had a negative experience with Canada Post in the past so, I don't even think of this company when I want to send something and have it delivered.
On January 22, my father decided to override my decision and send the package through Canada Post without consulting me beforehand. They told him that the package will be delivered in two weeks and since I was in Guatemala for a month, he sent it by registered mail. Tracking number is RN062740041CA. At that time, there was no mail going into or out of Guatemala as the mail system was temporarily suspended. There was even a notification on Canada Post's website regarding this since October 2017 so I cannot even begin to understand why a package to Guatemala was accepted.
Now, as I sit in Costa Rica two months later, my package is nowhere to be found. My father and I have repeatedly contacted customer service over the last two months as we were told that the package will be returned to the sender. My father opened an investigation since the mail was not returned as promised and he even went as far as contacting the Ombudsmen, Ann Hazelton, who notified him today that mail service to Guatemala had resumed last month and they are re-sending the package. Why was customer service lying to us all this time that the mail was being returned?
If Canada Post could not deliver the package within the timeframe they promised, they should return it to the sender. No questions asked. Simple as that. This proves to me, without a doubt, that Canada Post is an extremely incompetent company. I believe that the package has been lost or stolen (possibly by one of their employees, given their incompetency) and $1, 000 will need to be spent on my part for a flight back to Canada and a new license.
Thanks, Canada Post, for being the worst company I have dealt with and for ensuring that I will take measures in future to never become an unwitting customer ever again.
Postman/ items not delivered
On March 19th 2018 I received a confirmation email from walmart that my item has been delievered at my door. I have cameras outside my house. The walmart told me the time 2:17 pm items has been delievered. I checked through cameras the post man same time putting mails in the community mail box but he did not came to my house. I don't know intentionally he did not came to my house or by mistake, but I lost my stuff of walmart and that stuff was expensive.

I have called Canada Post customer service with a reference to a parcel not being delivered ref:[protected]. I was told by the representative that the lost parcel was not "his problem" and it is up to me to call Amazon even if I have a reference number and the delivery contract is between Canada Post and Amazon.
"Not my problem" statement from customer service is probably not the best-recommended answer.
Amazon has an excellent customer service with trained people. I am wondering why post Canada cannot put a better system in place.

small business packages
I am a small business in Minden, Ontario and I ship world wide.
My customer number is 8109511
I have many angry customers emailing me that have not received their package in the time that Canada Post says they will deliver it, especially any going to the west coast. The rates are so expensive for tracked that most of these packages are untraceable.
I cannot believe that Canada Post, in this modern age, cannot scan each package to know where it is.
At the post office I asked about ground to New Zealand/Australia and I was told 6 weeks so I shipped 2 packages in this manner. It's now been over 2 months and I have 2 very irate customers wanting me to reissue their packages at my cost, which is about $500.
I have had a damaged product (see pictures) returned from Canada Post with a 'sorry' note attached and when I called to ask for a claim, nothing was done for me.
I make natural creams and salves and have had many arrive in a mess, even though I triple pack each items very carefully. This means my packages are sitting in incredible heat for long periods of time, melting.
Currently my business is growing and I am shipping 140 packages a month.
My trust in Canada Post is waning and I am looking at other companies, like UPS to work with.
Right now I feel like Canada Post could care less about it's customers and the stress this is causing me is affecting my business on many levels.
It is very disappointing.
I would like some sort of understanding that Canada Post is working to modernize it's facilities for better handling, pricing and shipping times.
I would like some level of monetary compensation for my mounting losses, being that many of my customers now do not trust to reorder from me.

I also think that employees are stealing packages but Canada post never investigates properly.
When I came to get my package in the post office location, I found out that they gave my package to
other person without proper checking of ID. That is what they told me. Another scenario is that the
employee stole the package and put the code in the computer like it was delivered. I am becoming
suspicious if the employees are taking the packages.
delivery person not fulfilling duties
The person who delivers parcels and letters to addresses (not the community post boxes) does a very poor job in my area. My family has received notices of delivery without attempts at delivery--there is never a knock on the door. Additionally, they do not provide all the details on their notice of delivery--they use initials instead of full names (an issue because members in my family share the same first and last initials), provide only the day of "attempted" delivery--no time--and do not include details on what is being delivered. Furthermore, they select a time at which I can pick up my letter or parcel, and the mail is not at that location the day they specify--ie, "tomorrow after 1pm" and it hasn't arrived at the location on that day.
The writing is the same on the attached notice as it was on an earlier notice left for my brother in October 2017, so it is the same person who is doing a terrible job.

ive been calling canada post for the past few weeks regarding my trackable item that wasnt delivered to my mailbox. and stayed on the line for an hour and for the 6th time same update they are giving me. I was asking about the number of their depot and they wont tell me. i got an email from them regarding the service ticket and a name Anna Nidau from claims department supposedly calling me but never did and even the number isnt correct. Its a total waste of time and we lost almost $4000 because of this lost item!

I called March 13th to verify address - was told everything will be fine
March 14th no mail
March 15th - carrier comes to door and inquires about situation. I explain the above - he says, "I will check at the depot"
March 15 - mail is delivered, still no package -
mail carrier comes later and tells me "you're not going to like this, the package was marked RTS", return to sender"
I ask why, because I called within the 2 day window to verify my address, and he says he doesn't know and walks away toward the elevator.
I call again, and this time speak with a supervisor who tells me that Canada Post doesn't have the ability to verify address and send package to the proper address - contrary to what was told to me by the previous Canada post agents.
She then tells me that there's just not a process to fix this type of situation, even if you call in and verify your address.
She said "It's too expensive to build into the system. a lot of the front line agents aren't trained properly and don't know what they're saying. They shouldn't have told you they were fixing the issue" or something along these lines.
She then confirms that the in process of me calling in to open the ticket to verify my address, that the package was already being sorted and marked to be returned to sender.
... which doesn't make any sense.
The opening of the ticket would have been pointless and time of the mail carrier has been wasted at this point.
The system still hasn't even been updated to reflect any of this.
I paid over $50 for 1 day shipping, and Canada Post couldn't figure out how to write 4 numbers on a package to get it delivered in a reasonable amount of time.
my device didn’t get delivered.
I sent my damaged phone to the insurance company after i got a new phone from them with a prepaid label to deliver that damaged phone back on 14 march 2017 tracking no for that parcel was ([protected]). I called them so many times but didn't get any help. I had to pay $400 for their mistake and I contacted ombudsman at canada post as well but they didnt help me either.

Xposted mail on Feb/20/18, costing $14.26 which was not received until Feb/26/18; even though the tracking # [protected], said it was delivered it was not in the mail box at the post office on Feb/23/18. In January I sent a parcel to the same person using signature required, insurance etc, now I did make a mistake on the house # putting 589 instead of 598 Pearson Dr, but apparently the houses are opposite and they often get each other's mail. BUT as this parcel and other mail is picked up at the post office and some has to be signed for this concerns me. Here in London we have to show ID when we sign for a mail at the post office. Luckily the tracking # showed who had collected it and the receiver was able to get the parcel from the neighbour, who, I may add had opened it which I thought was odd. Both these mailings were for special occasions and needed to be there on the special dates.my last My point is that when you pay extra for mail deliveries you expect to get the service that you paid for . In future I will either deliver my mail person ally when I go up North or use a different courier service if I'm unable to it myself.

unethical behavior of canada post employee
I went to collect my mail from the community mailbox as usual on, 1st of March. picked up the mail and came back, The mail comprised of some articles apart from regular mail. One of the Canada Post employees with the name "MUNIR" called upon at our residence 7 Cape Dorset Cres. Brampton ON L6R3L1 inquiring about the mailbox key, advising that there was another big parcel to be collected. He was advised that the key was not found in the mailbox as such we are not even aware of any such article. As per the advise of Canada Post employee we assured him to check the keys and if found, collect the article. However, no key was found there again. On date i.e. March 7, 2018 Mr. Munir again came to our residence at around 11:15 AM. he was politely advised that no key was found in the mail box as such article if any is still be there. At this Mr. Munir got furious and started misbehaving and threatened in no uncertain terms that we do not expect to get delivery of any parcels in our mailbox and that we will be made to collect that from the Canada Post office in future. We are residing at the same address for over 10 years but have never come across such an arrogant employee. I have apprehensions that if a strict disciplinary action against the employee is not taken immediately, he can create problems in future.
It is therefore requested that disciplinary action may be taken against the concerned employee and he should be shifted from this area as he can cause problems which may result into serious losses to us for which Canada post shall be responsible.
It may not be out of place to mention that I have camera recordings of the entire incident.
Look forward to hearing from you with feed back on the departmental action taken against the employee.

I am living in this house since 2015. Everything was ok regarding mail services. But from starting of this winter the postman is not nice to me. He is continually showing disrespectful gestures. We get lots of snow here and i work from Monday to Friday. I only get chance to plow the snow is in the evening. This gentleman always throw my showel in the stairs, he did it 3-4 times already. Now yesterday he just left the mails in the showel holder rather than putting in the mailbox which was quite disrespectful. I hope he will not repeat this anymore after my complaint.

I sent a package for Cuba on February 4/2018 with the most economical option (do not pay insurance, do not pay tracking) today February 20 Canada Post return me the package and I went to the Office of Canada Post where I send the package and the lady who was working in the Post Office At that time, She called the costumer service and they told her that the package was returned because the recipient did not picked the package. I do not think this is true because I send every month 2 and 3 packages for Cuba and all the packages delay in arrive to Cuba about 45 to 60 days and it is not possible that in 15 days this package arrived in Cuba and returned to Canada.
The lady who was working in the Post office told me that I have to pay again for to send the package. I do not agree to pay again to send the package.
What do you expect? I would not expect high level of intelligence and ethics from people who work in Canada post locations. You are right about customer service skills though. But Canada Post is not famous by excellent customer service skills in general.
a call I placed to canada post regarding a lost package.
I called Canada post about a lost package that was shipped to me via Amazon. Said package was issued tracking number LZ006754769CN. I was talking to a Sandra James who answered the phone on your end after a 10 min 58 second wait time. After speaking with Sandra for less then 4 min, 3 min and 15 seconds to be exact she proceeded to hang up on me; providing me with no information whatsoever other than telling me to contact the sender and that Canada post holds no responsibility for my package! Sandra neglected to tell me anything about a service ticket number like the next person I was in contact with at Canada post, a person who was also polite unlike Sandra!
Can you please advise Sandra that people take offence to being hung up on, especially after waiting over ten minutes on hold? Can you also advise Sandra that people would also appreciate any information that might help a stressful situation such as a lost package?
Sounds to me like Sandra could use one or maybe 17 educate lessons at customer service school!

I can hardly write this letter i'm so upset,
I mailed 2 letters from boissevain, manitoba to vancouver island the first week of january to my grandkids,
My family never got their mail, yes the envelopes had cash wrapped up in them, I used two envelopes, one inside the other, they were sealed with tape for extra security,
Why can't money be mailed through canada post and be delivered safely, what business is it of canada post what I put in an envelope, it's not a bomb, a gun, a item that could hurt someone, it was money for kids from their grandmother, a token of my love for them to enjoy.
Why can't I trust the employees of the postal system to not tamper with the mail?
Does the postal offices have cameras in the work areas to keep an eye on their employees, the postal workers that are paid to gather and deliver our mail.?
I would like some answers as to why I can't trust these people that are paid to do a job.
This is disgraceful, what is the point of their job, to rob us,
I'm so disgusted I have been an absolute mess since finding out this revolting news.

we paid 119 dollars to have our email forwarded from 1500 walkley road apt 609 Ottawa to 50 cormier in Gatineau Quebec we are not recieving all the mail that is going to walkley its not being redirected
things like T4s and checks I was sent a check february 5th to Walkley road and it was never forwarded
