mail and parcel service
I sent letter to ombudsman re: no del, of parcels mail and del. notices. Exercise in futility. Went through all the steps. Louise did no fact finding. Superintendent was supposed to call and come out, but did not as promised. Parcels never delivered mail lost no delivery notices. Gave all info. and more to Enrico who either didn't get it to her or she chose to ignore my complaint! Seriously
don't even bother with Ombudsman for Canada Post as Louise Ombudsman is biased and did no fact -finding. Canada Post is the only co. that cannot deliver mail rather when they don't blame the customer! One would think an Ombudsman would be impartial but obviously not as
everything in my complaint became my fault. Like I can control delivery of mail! This is one position that Canada Post could eliminate and save thousands as they are supposedly going
broke! Another day another wrong del. of my mail! But I apparently am to blame for what a
supervisor at my depot could take care of. Instead he allows mail carriers to continue making
mistakes. As they said we don't need mail carriers. Should look at ways to improve service and have better complaint procedures as I am told by others in my area they have same problem.

regularly missing mail
Canada Post has once again failed to deliver a paycheque mailed out over a month ago, and once again we are struggling and having to putting off purchases.. Paycheques, bills (thank god for e bills), cards and letters have been delivered to the wrong adress or not delivered at all for as long as we have lived in Pickering (15 years).
Canada Post claims 96% success rate. 4% failure rate is too high and seems to be concentrated in Pickering Ontario.
Their backlog of complaints at the ombudsman probably masks an even higher failure rate.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
arrogance/above the law
Canada post started charging gst on foreign packages despite the rule (2012) says "mail addressed to foreign destinations requiring total shipping charges $5 or more... Are not subject to gst" canada post is not authorized to impose or revise the canadian tax code.
Don't put up with this crap. Fight for you rights. Kick out those who make these rules from canada post.

unauthorized activities by canada post
A couple of things about canada post really bugs me.
One is when I mail out a package from alberta to nova scotia, the canada post started charging me 15% hst. Alberta don't have hst, just 5% gst. When asked about it, I was told that ns has hst and therefore I should pay hst in alberta when sending mail to ns. If that's the case, why not nova scotians are allowed to pay on 5% tax when they send mail to alberta? (No answer for it)
2. I mailed a package to uk, and the clerk charged me gst. Totaling $15.49. There is no gst when mailing to foreign countries. I went to canada post website to check their ruling on gst, and is says: "mail addressed to foreign countries requiring shipping charges of $5 or more... Are not subject to gst" when I phoned the canada post customer service at [protected], the person answered the phone had no clue about the subject.
My understanding is that the federal government decides on taxes and revisions of tax code. Canada post is a crown corporation, run by highly paid executives with no sign of intelligence or any respect for the law of the country. They are not authorized to collect hst in alberta or gst from any canadians when mailing packages to foreign countries.
Canada post made it impossible for small business to survive due to their atrocious rates, coupled with volume measurement, fuel surcharge and now this ridiculous illegal tax collecting.

poor service
We live in an unincorporated district under the regional district management. What this means is the post office delier mail to our local community mail boxes situated within walking or driving distance for most residents. The complaint is Canada Post sub-contacting mail service to our local Shoppers Drug mart. The way they operate is to hold your package for nearly 2 days before you are allowed to pick it up! How ridiculous! Before the mail contract was awarded to the Shoppers drug mart Packages were either placed in one of the free larger mail lock boxes with the key to open in your own mail box..this was convenient and time saving. NOw every single time we receive a package it is sent to the shoppers drug mart for pick-up, but to add insult to injury, we must wait a day and a half to go and pick it up our selves! Yet Canada post si charging the shipper to deliver to your adddress, what a fraud! We recently compalined to Canada post about this problem, and we received acall from a woman named Erika, who was to say the lease..defensive, arrogant & totally unhelpful about the poor service we are receiving! Canada Post really does SUCK!
PS' Don't bother to call Erica at the Sydeny depot...she is an idiot!

canada post employs a lot of lazy bones
missing mail/opened mail
A year ago I had a Christmas card go missing that had a gift card inside. An embarrasing issue for Myself and the giving party. She had to ask about it because I never had my daughter call her to thank her. It all came together when we realized we never received it. This year we ordered some Christmas presents online when one of the boxes was delivered the factory embossed box tape had been cut open and it was closed with 3 pieces of black electrical tape.It would never have stayed closed from the factory like that. So this year I complained with picture proof. That was December Now in January I have been told that my letter carrier will no longer deliver my mail because my driveway a concrete driveway is to slippery. Even if I salt and sand it.

horrible and inconsistent customer counter service
I have been to this canada post office a number of times in the past, and everytime received consistent service. One particular occasion I had a very large box un-closed to deliver to telus and the lady there readily assisted with taping the box. Today was a different story, I purchased a box prepared it for delivery and the lady asked me to purchase the tape required, I looked at the tape available for purchase which comes only in a four pack! I looked at her and said "can't you supply some, all I need is about a foot", she refused and said I had to buy the tape...
Okay, I get that maybe i've been lucky in the past (I am not sure what the policy is on supplying tape) , but seriously a foot of tape and I had to purchase a four pack? I refused and walked out of the store, went home taped the box and made my way to another canada post! I will never return to that particular canada post, and that includes the shoppers drug mart it was stationed in.In fact, if there was an alternate post office, I would gladly say goodbye to canada post!

fake attempted delivery, fake tracking number
This is the second time canada post drivers fake an attempted delivery at my place. I have a tracking number from the website I ordered from. The tracking number works perfectly on canadapost. Ca in tracking my parcel. However, when the website states that my package had unsuccessful attempted delivery, and was later delivered to a postal office nearby...

Dear Ombudsman and Honourable Denis Lebel and Mr. Chopra,
Please refer to the self-explanatory email that was sent to me from your Canada Post manager. Evidently, he has chosen to ignore a relevant customer concern. To date, in the past almost one calendar year, he has not even responded to my complaint, nor has he done anything about it.
• If this is the demonstrated attitude and level of responsibility demonstrated by your designated area managers to the ordinary taxpayers and Canadian public, what do you expect is the direction that they will provide to staff that they lead?
Please provide me a satisfactory written response within 7 calendar days.
Sincerely,
Complainant

Subject: Provide the WRITTEN RENEWAL REMINDERS IN A TIMELY MANNER, PRIOR TO the EXPIRATION of the RENTAL-PERIOD" IN A TIMELY MANNER; Local Staff SHOULD be TRAINED APPROPRIATELY to NOT CHARGE A PO-Box Customer TWICE for the SAME RENTAL-PERIOD
To
Mr. Tom Lyttle, Retail Business Manager. Canada Post
[Delivered via email to Tom.[protected]@canadapost.ca ]
Dear Sir,
1) On 18Oct10, I renewed my PO Box 9999 at the Canada Post outlet located in the Cloverdale Mall in the PharmaPlus at 250 The East Mall, Toronto, ONT.
2) From your website at http://www/canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/pgpostbox-e.asp I am given to understand that: "When Customers have rented a Postal Box, WRITTEN RENEWAL REMINDERS ARE TYPICALLY PROVIDED PRIOR TO THE END OF THE RENTAL PERIOD".
3) In speaking with Canada Post at [protected] AS WELL AS in speaking with the store manager Ms. Cheryl, I am given to understand that the first [of 3] written-notices are placed in the renter's postal-box commencing AT LEAST one calendar month PRIOR to the expiration-date of the current-rental-period.
- Ms. Cheryl told me on 18Oct10, that this should have been done by the postal-supervisor Mr. Rich Ricco.
4) NO such written-notices were provided to me AT ALL.
5) It was ONLY BY-CHANCE that I happened to inquire about the expiration-of-my-current-rental-period from the postal-clerk Ms. Elizabeth on 18Oct10.
6) Furthermore, I am also given to understand from USUAL AND REASONABLE AND LOGICAL business-practice AND PRINCIPLES OF NATURAL JUSTICE AND BASIC CONSUMER-LAW,
- AS WELL AS In speaking with Canada Post at [protected] AND in speaking with the store manager Ms. Cheryl, that a customer should NOT have to PAY TWICE for ANY RENTAL PERIOD.
7) Yet, on 18Oct10, the postal-clerk Ms. Elizabeth CONTINUED TO INSIST that I have to ONCE-AGAIN pay for the period from 18Oct10 THROUGH 31Oct10, [EVEN THOUGH I PAID for it EARLIER] SIMPLY BECAUSE I was RENEWING ON 18Oct10 [for the next 6 months].
8) It was ONLY when I asked for the store-manager, that the store-manager Ms. Cheryl told Ms. Elizabeth that this was BOTH UNRESONABLE AND ILLOGICAL TO ASK A CUSTOMER TO HAVE TO PAY TWICE FOR BEING CONSCIENTIOUS [by renewing AHEAD of the expiration-date].
• It was ONLY THEN that Ms. Elizabeth stopped insisting that I do not have to pay-twice for the period of 18Oct10 through 31Oct10.
9) Furthermore, it is UNREASONABLE for the postal-clerk Ms. Elizabeth to DEMAND that I HAVE TO PRESENT MYSELF ON 31OCT10 EXACTLY to do the renewal.
• It is ALSO CONTRARY TO the logo posted on Canada Post publicly-available brochures [numbered 802976, January 2007 edition] that "convenience is key".
10) REASONABLY AND LOGICALLY, ANY sub-agents of Canada Post must abide by Canada Post's PUBLICLY posted policy AND PUBLICLY stated position.
11) It is ALSO CONTRARY TO what is posted on Canada Post website at http://www/canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/pgpostbox-e.asp: "CONVENIENCE Postal Box" .. "payment for CONVENIENCE postal boxes must be PAID IN ADVANCE for the selected rental period".
12) Moving forward, I ask:
a) That the postal-supervisor Mr. Rich Ricco be instructed to provide the "WRITTEN RENEWAL REMINDERS PRIOR TO THE END OF THE RENTAL PERIOD" IN A TIMELY MANNER;
b) The postal-clerk Ms. Elizabeth be TRAINED APPROPRIATELY in NOT CHARGING A PO-Box CUSTOMER TWICE FOR THE SAME RENTAL PERIOD.
13) Please provide me a satisfactory WRITTEN response within 7 calendar days.
• I am NOT available for any verbal contact via phone on this matter. Furthermore, I am legally entitled to a written response to my written complaint.
Sincerely,
Complainant

supper slow delivery
When will canada post get its act together? They set their own delivery standards and never follow them. I paid for 3-5 day shipping and if I get it in under two weeks they think they are doing a good job and blame customs. Well how come courier company have no problem? I think they need to shut down, rebuild and hire people that care and whant to work.

My daughter sent a christmas package from Switzerland priority post to Bathurst N-B
on December 7, she was told it should not take longer than 7 to 9 days, we just received
the package this morning Jan 2nd with a wish for a happy New Year from the Canada post
delivery person (not her fault) .This package was sent mainly for her niece and godchild
for christmas needless to say she was disappointed and left to wonder why she bothered
to pay the extra money to ensure prompt delivery.
lost community mailbox key
Canada post loses their own parcel too. Canada post set up our community mailbox on wednesday. By friday we did not receive a notice at our house to pick up the parcel (Key). We called "customer service" and were told it may not have been left at our door but she provided us with the parcel# and post office location to get it. We waited 30 minutes in line at the post office to be told they don't have the parcel. So customer service says the post office has it, but the post office says they don't (And they will not look for it). So he-said she-said and no one can find the key. We were told a manager will call us back within 3 days but I will have to explain the situation again and then the manager will investigate the missing parcel. We were also told they can not pull the mail from our community box and we will have to wait until they find our key (The one they lost).
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Canada Post Edmonton seems to have forgotten that Service is the product they have and then they complain they are losing customers. Why should we use a non service provider
super mailbox creates noise and traffic.
I live on this 10 home dead-end street, and 90% of the people are retired and home most of the time.
Canada post with help of the village council decided to park this 43 compartment box here about 4 years ago. The neighbourhood is not involved in this decision. Since 3 years we have been complaining about the noise, increase of about 150 cars a week and late night wake-ups all because of this box. Last year the people closest to the box and with our bedrooms at the road made a complaint at the canada post ombudsman. Finally it was decided and promised they would move the box to a more appropriate location in june this year. Well the rest of the neighbourhood didn, t agree with that, so the box is still here.
It doesn, t matter if these other people are not even close to box, canada post and the village council decide.
We are living in a democratic country but apparently not by canada post rules and promises don, t mean anything with them.
No input by the neighbourhood, where to place the box and where its least interfering with peoples lives living close to this menace. Canada post on strike. For me they could have stayed on strike all summer, it was the quietest week ever.
A very dissatisfied canada post customer (Not by choice)
Govt force use of community mailboxes and the 1st set of keys they delivered to my house do not work because they clearly do not check them first to make sure they work. Called canada post to complain and they wont deliver another set to my house when its their fault and make people go out of their way to pick them up at local post office. Go to the the post office and the service received was very bad... Had to go back 2 times to get my key and the idiot behind the counter still would not give me the keys. Kept telling me different things were needed each time and a managers approval! Still have not received my keys with late overdue bills inside this box that I cannot access!
This is not the first time I have been home all day and have not heard the door bell ring or a knock but have found a delivery notice. now I am told that I can not pick up the parcel until the next day. Of course I am going away. Meanwhile I am paying a service fee on an item that the post office has. Looks like it will be returned. Great job Canada post
I recently worked for a 2 week period in April 2017. A contract was signed. Canada Post has not paid vacation pay as per the contract and when I contacted them, I was told it would be paid in June 2017. It wasn't paid and I call them again and they told me I was only entitled to 4% even though the contract stated 6% and it would not be paid until June 2017. I told them that I had a contract which stated vacation pay would be paid at the end of the employment. It is a straight forward contract and they are telling me an investigation has to be launched. I tried to call the union to get their help, since I had already paid $80 in union fees for 33 hours of work, I figured the least they could do was help with this. The amount we are talking about is less than $50. I have left messages with the nation union and the London Representative, but no one has called back. I had even called the person that signed the contract and they told me there was nothing they could do. I told them it was unfortunate, because the way Canada Post treats their employees would stop me from working for them again. If they can't even stand by their contract, , how can I trust them to do their jobs properly. I am very greatful for electronic mail as I will now start using that more than the mail. Hand delivery when possible will be done. I will do everything possible to not use their services and will let everyone I know what kind of treatment Canada Post gives their employees.
Great job Canada Post, you should consider running in Politics, you've learned the game well.
I move regularly—once a year or so. Every time I move I fill out a move order with canada post to have my mail forwarded. Every single time, 15 times in the last 12 years, they have messed it up.
I fail to receive my mail, and they read from stupid scripts when I call the customer service line and give me the same crap about how someone will "investigate it".
Bs. We need to privatize the post and have some competition.
I had to use their expensive mail forwarding service too, for four times in the last two years, having my life so hectic that I couldn't find enough time in advance to do the address changes ahead of the moves.
I was lucky to be able to recover about 20+ of the pieces of mail that failed get forwarded to me, thanks to people delivering them to me. There are also a bunch of letters that got mistakenly forwarded. I have no clue how many more letters there were that got lost.
I have spent many minutes on many phone calls, and writing email to them, and they always say they will "investigate". Meanwhile I keep recovering batches and batches of mail that failed to forward.
For a total of more than $200 I have spent on this service/dis-service, I would expect something better than that!
not getting delivery notices
I receive a higher than average volume of residential registered mail. And lately I have not been getting delivery notices telling me that the item had an attempted delivery. I live in an apartment complex so any registered or oversized mail is sent to my nearest post office.
I often have mail coming that I do not know the tracking number to and so I am unable to know its whereabouts because my mailman seems to not be bothered to give me any delivery notices. I got one yesterday (July 24th) that dated back to July 7th... I had this already picked up weeks ago because I had to call up Canada Post myself to find out the delivery notice. Of course, I filed a complaint with Canada Post but never heard anything back. Now I am getting really concerned because this is the third item in a row over the past 3 weeks that I have not received notification about its delivery. I don't know what else is waiting for me in the post office because I haven't been alerted to it.
I am really worried because I am awaiting a lot of important personal documents from abroad.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
no delivery
I have waited for a small parcel for almost a month due to the strike.
Tracking says yesterday that it was out for delivery, then it changes to item on hold to verify address of recipient. Finally later in the day it changes to attempted delivery. Notice card left indicating where item can be picked up.
We were home all day no attempted delivery was made and no card was left?
I suppose if they were not there they coulldn't leave a card.
I went to our local postal outlet and they either know nothing or will not tell me.
I assume this is more shennanigans from the postal workers!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Not surprised. It's amazing that I am receiving junk mail almost daily, and virtually no actual posted mail. Can't understand how the postal worker's would remotely feel the general public would support this strike. Shame on them. Unfortunately we are hostages to their rude, incompitent service.
atrocious service
Misedeliveries are commonplace in this town. My utilities bills have been delivered to other people and I have received all kinds of mail correctly addressed but wrongly delivered. Even my tax refund was put in someone else's mail box. I have to pick up my mail at a bank of boxes which was left wide open one day. Great opportunities for identity theft, eh? A parcel of plants I was expecting was misdelivered in niscu then left lying in a corner of the sorting office for three weeks. Notification to pick up another parcel was twice put in the wrong mail box and my parcel was on the point of being returned to the sender by the time I found out where it was. Another time, I was notified to collect a package but when I went to the post office, nobody could find it. I waited twenty minutes while the numpties behind the counter chatted away and wandered about pretending to look for it. When I complained about all this to the canada post ombudsman, all I got was a whiny call from the local sorting office about how overworked the posties were - what a load of rubbish. They don't even do house deliveries here. All they do is drive up and stick bundles into a bank of boxes. I think the whole operation should be shut down and open to private companies - that's the only service you can rely on anyway.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Canada Post service country wide is sub par. The decision to break up counties and create new postal codes was an attempt to make service better, but ultimately ended in undeliverable parcels, inability to pick up parcels and misdirected mail.
Complaints to Canada Post and the Ombudsman regularly result in replies blaming outside sources and third party shippers. Even other government organizations such as the RCMP have difficulty dealing with the incompetence of Canada Post. Responses from managers who are tasked with investigating are usually professional and courteous, but lack any corrective action.
holding mail hostage
How dare you lock out the cupw workers without serving notice! I have many packages now being held hostage in your warehouses, these are things for my wedding and I need them! Shame on you canada post, shame on you! While you are busy being a lazy greedy corporation, millions of citizens are now suffering the consequences. I hope you enjoy many angry citizens breathing down your neck! If you do not deliver my things before my wedding like you are supposed to, I will charge you with theft! Don't punish the citizens due to your greed, get that mail out of your warehouses and deliver it to the people whom it belongs.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have business critical items that I thought I was being responsible with by sending express via Canada Post and ordering well in advance. Now with the surprise lockout - I have to pay quadrupal the amount that I already pay to keep my business running.
I also have a motorcycle helmet being held for ransom that I would like to use to ride my motorcycle with.
In considerate, and intolerable. I am being forced to move my account over to DHL and FedEX because CP is no longer reliable in at least giving us consumer know in advance so we don't send our time sensitive items out be be held hostage.
not delivering mail
I live in the States and I mail alot to my family in Canada. Everybody eles get their mail from me that live in Sudbury Ontario Canada. There is a little town close to Sudbury and it is called Azilda and they have their own post office. Well I mail my mother 2 cards at about the same time. One card gets to her and the other does not. The second card that did not reach her had very important information and a money order in it to help her out in her older age. Well the one with the money order did not get to her. Is that funny or what, one does and the other does not. I had return address on it and the correct address on it. Has not come back to me either. The lady down at that post office told my sister who went to inquire for my mother told her that they have contracted the mail out and mail has been disappearing. I am very upset to hear this and not do not trust sending my mother mail to this post office. I thought the mail was like sacred a offense to tamper. My sister told the post office, isn't it funny that one card got to my mom, but not the second. All the lady could say was tell who ever mailed the letter to cancel the money order. My sister believes that the mail is opened from the inside office. She said that the one card that did come, looked like it had been opened also before delivery. No problems with mail to the Sudbury Ontario branch for the rest of my family.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
fraud
I was to received 2 pieces of luggage sent to me from China. Canadapost claims they delivered the item to me when a signature was required and they did not obtain anything. I want to know what kind of frauds they have employed at the mississauga postal facilty that would have the audacity to steal from innocent customers. Pat Foran needs to do an investigation into this because it not right. I don't live in mississauga, I live in Etobicoke: see below. Well they messed with the wrong person I intend to either a) get my parcel in excellent condition or b) a full refund from Canadapost.

Same thing here. Since I have moved to this new address about 8 months ago Canada Post has been messing up my deliveries more than 80% of the time. The most common thing is for them to not even attempt to deliver and just leave a card for me to go pick it up at the post office. I know they don't attempt to deliver because I track the package and when it says "Item out for delivery" I stay home and wait for it. Then last thing I know is that the status of the package changes for "Attempted delivery. Notice card left indicating where item can be picked up". The thing is that I live in a building and they need to use the intercom in the lobby to be let in and since this intercom call my cellphone even if I was not at home I would know that they came. Let say somebody did let them in building and they come to my door and knock, my apartment is big like my hand so it's not like I won't hear them. But that is when they actually leave a card because half the time the status change and when I go check they didn't even leave a card.
The thing with this that annoys me is that I pay for this delivery service to my home and I'm not getting it.
The latest instance of this is that this time they didn't attempt delivering and I was at home at usual waiting for this package but the status has changed for "Item successfully delivered". Now the real fun begin because they didn't deliver, they didn't attempt, no card to pick it up, no empty promises of a card, nothing. From Canada Post point of view they have completed the transaction. So when I called they told me that "I" have to contact the sender and have them initiate the trace back and they told them it would take two weeks!
Seriously what will they do during those two weeks? This package was tracked until it was given to one of Canada Post employee one morning for delivery and that employee didn't feel like delivering it I suppose and tossed it somewhere, kept it, gave it to whom ever on the way and simply changed the status to "Item successfully delivered" and that's it. So what will they do for the next two weeks? Interrogate that employee to have him admit to the crappy job he has been doing with pretty much all my deliveries? I would love to be the one doing the interrogation but he probably won't even be asked a question about this and even if he was... then what? Those guys are in Unions and pretty much untouchable so I'm pretty sure nothing will come out of this other than the fact that the item is now missing.
What's left for me? Collect the silly $100 insurance that doesn't cover for the value of the package? Yes you might say I should have taken the full value in insurance alright I'll take that but before I moved here Canada Post never messed up any of my delivery. So is this the new racket for Canada Post? To have employee mess up enough deliveries so that people start buying those insurance and this way Canada Post has a new steady stream of revenue for basically doing what I already paid to have them do?
The only learning for me is that any vendors that offer other options than Canada Post for delivery I will select the other option even if it cost a little more, at least I'll get my package.
Canada Post is really a sad example of a functional business. First, I had a package that according to them they delivered and showed someone had even signed for it unfortunately the signature is not mine. I tried to get the package to no avail so I tried the Ombudsman that is a laugh they did not do anything they passed the buck back to the post office. It is like playing football. Passing the ball back and forth except with the post office and the Ombudsman there is no result at least in football someone scores.
Now I had a package that they tried to deliver, they stated I was not at home where I actually was, and that they left a notice card except there isn’t one. So I called the Post Office outlet they do not have the package back, so I called the main Post Office no answer voicemail claiming to many calls unable to answer they suggest I call back. After three hrs of trying I called the complaint office they stated that their computer is down I should call later maybe then they can help. I guess I will not be holding my breath. So now, this is my second package that has gone up in smoke. I would really like to know who is keeping all these packages that never make it to their rightful owners.
neglect of privacy
For 2 years, I have complaint to canada post, that my mail is being tampered with. Missing mail, such as income tax, application for canada pention, tenants subsidised rent, etc. I got the royal run-a-round not only from canada post itself, but from canada post ombudsman, as well. I have now proof that a peron or person have a key for my community mailbox and canada post suddenly gives me the super royal run-a-round. I live in a trailer park. We have 115 trailers. 4 1/2 year ago I bought a trailer and moved in. On arrival, the manager handed me the mailbox key. I have not lived in a trailer before and had my mail delivered to my home for the past 84 years. So, how would I know that I am responsible to pick up my mailbox key from the post office? I was under the impression, that a key to an appartment, mailbox, safety deposit box was blocked from copying. I also was under the impression that a key to a mailbox was only given to either a tenant or owner of the home, with id. Not so. A manager can obtain the key from canada post and has it copied. If one looses a key, one can have the lock changed for a fee. How does one know what the manager does, before he gives you the key ? The bank statement was the first thing that went missing. I forgave the bank, as I just had moved. My income tax form was next. I was late in making my return. I had to request a new form. Again, I blamed income tax people. Then I received a notice that a registered letter was waiting for me to be picked up. It was one, I had sent to the park's manager. The manager instructed the mail delivery person to redirect it back to me. Next, an insurance check for $5, 400.00, found cashed in the former manager' s bank accounts. Next, an envelope, containing my pad rent money order, sent to the park's office, found in my mailbox, minus the money order, minus a stamp and deleted house number, with whiteout, replaced with my house number by pen, again. The park sent me a notice to end tenancy. Reason: failing to pay rent. My bank stopped payment on the order and replaced the order with a new one. I paid my rent late, ($20.00 late charge) but sent it to the park's corporate lawyers, hoping to find them more honest than the manager. Hopefully. Next, I sent a parcel to my son in nanaimo, on march 30, 2011. I was told by the receiving post office "it will be there in 3 business days" 4 days later I phoned my son and asked him about the parcel. He had not received it. I gave him the tracing # and he asked for it at his local post office. It had been sent to the main post office in nainamo. At least they got the right town. The main post office on the sixth day, had sent it back to sender. The sender, i, according to 'track a package printout' was sent first notice, 2011-04-06. Final notice 2011-04-11. The sender did not receive any notice in the mailbox.2011-05-05 the parcel arrived at north sidney, ns. Undeliverable mail office. Now I will have my mailbox lock changed and I will receive a notice to my door, where to pick up a new set of keys. Hallelulha. Now the real problem starts. Who signed for my keys in the first place? No one knows. The paper work is protected under the privacy act. Customer service is a call center. I asked for the name of the canada post, post mistresss or master for the chilliwack location. I was given a name derek smith. It is not in the company directory. Return call to canada post call center and was told: "it is a private number and cannot be given out, but can connect me with it". Ok. The number answered under derek kennedy and will return the call asap, probably in a year or 2. Calls from canada post have anonimous caller on the phone. What are they afraid of? Their privacy? That they are so blantandly disrespect for the rest of us? This saga is not completed as yet. I may be old, but my mouth and brain still work and I am about to give both a free run. I will keep in touch as to the outcome.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
