Expedia refund

Booking stated free cancelations but when I went to cancel the car rental because the flight was delayed and NU Car Rentals was closed (4PM on a Sunday)when the flight was going to arrive I tried to cancel. The cancel button would not work and the "Help" button just took me to an automated online assistant that would just post the same thing over and over and was completely useless. I called the NU Car company and they said I had to call Expedia so it was a never ending loop. After waiting 1.4 hours on hold with the expedia (Customer service) I received an email this morning my funds, 491.00 would not be refunded.

Expedia Sonesta Hotel, 500 E. 105th St., Kansas City, mo

I would like to file a complaint against Sonesta Hotel, 500 E. 105th St., Kansas City, mo. My daughter and granddaughter drove 10 hours from Minnesota, arrived early, was told they couldn't check in till 3, which meant they had to find a room at a different hotel, The room had dirty sock under blinds, which means room wasn't cleaned very good, was not informed there was no hot tub and pool closed because of maintenance issues, no room service, dirty used clothes scattered in parking lot, puke in the parking lot, elevator had puke and pee in and on the walls of elevator, my granddaughter cannot use stairs due to her disability but they had to use the stairs. The breakfast manager didn't offer cream for coffee. The dates of their visit was April 7-13th. I think they need a full refund, or at least a partial refund

Expedia Travel credit

Expedia never credited me the $791 owed to me after having to cancel my flight last year due to COVID. Expedia conveniently lost all correspondense regarding the credit. I had to prove to them credit was due me-which I did. Thankfully I saved everything & Expedia was forced to issue me a credit back to my credit card. That was in January 2021. I am still trying to get my credit. I have heard every excuse in the book, been on hold for extremely long amounts of time, have called numerous times, been transferred and transferred again, told over & over I'd receive the credit within the next 14 days, gave my credit card info (for credit) several times... I'm sick of it. I am currently on hold 25 minutes and holding...still trying to resolve this issue

Expedia Paid Hotel Insurance Declined

I purchased hotel insurance when I saw that the hotel I booked was not cancellable.
Well, as need be, I had to cancel the room.
Bottom line your insurance company, AIG, refused to refund my hotel stay for that day?
No terms sent after or before I purchased the protection or explained to me. Just a $9 cost on the hotel site for trip insurance!
Shame on Expedia and AIG for such misleading information.
I am a GOLD Expedia customer and will never use or charge another thing unless this is resolved.

Expedia Lack of Integrity / Unfair practice

Early this year, I booked a flight (itinerary #[protected]) from;

- Montreal (YUL) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) January 9th 2021
- Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Tampa Bay (TPA) January 28th 2021
- Tampa Bay (TPA) to Montreal (YUL) February 12th 2021

A couple of weeks after landing in Fort Lauderdale and days prior to my next flight (from Lauderdale to Tampa), I received an email (from Expedia) notifying me that my flight from Tampa to Montreal was cancelled and that I had to reach out to Expedia to arrange an alternative flight.
Upon speaking to an Expedia representative and evaluating my options, we did not reach an agreeable solution and so they offered me a refund for the flight from "Tampa to Montreal" of an amount of $340.00 per ticket (CDN) and assured me (on several occasions) that the flight from Lauderdale to Tampa would not be affected.
On the morning of January 28th, we get to the airport of Lauderdale only to find out that my flight was cancelled by Expedia. I suffered many set-backs that day as a direct result of their careless actions.
Furthermore, upon looking at my credit card statement, I realized I was refunded only 253$ and not 340$ as promised. I called Expedia and spoke to several representatives; they told me that they would review the details of the call (that can take up to 45 days) and get back to me. It's been over three months and still no news. I've been calling them for the last month and the automated system keeps saying that there is a 2 hour wait time, and asks to leave a number for them to call back which they never do.

It's been a very unpleasant experience to say the least, I'm hoping for a solution otherwise my next step will be to send a copy of this email to the various medias and expose them for unfair practices and lack of integrity. Surely I am not the only victim to land such an awful and unjust experience.

Expedia Using a travel credit and Expedia charging more than the airline!

Itinerary # [protected] - Yesterday (4-5-21) I had picked fights to use my travel credit from a covid issue where the airline cancelled / changed the flight. I did not change it. Had the same flight for 7-1-21 and the Expedia site had me pay the difference of $3 per ticket for three people or $9 total. Entered my credit card twice and got errors. Had to call Expedia and that took a total of three hours. Once I got someone it took almost an hour to get my tickets, but Expedia said it was now over $200 per ticket more. Feed up I paid the amount. Then two hours later I book another family member on the same flight and same seats using AA system and I got the lower price of $738.70. My credits for the covid cancelled flights were $735.70 each. My gut is Expedia needed to make money here.

I will never use your services again for booking flights or hotel. Making money on a covid issue is despicable and unprofessional.

Expedia THEY changed my flight then refused to give me a refund

I booked a flight from LAX to GOT a week ago. I needed to be in Sweden at a specific time and was happy to pay a little bit more to get the right flight. An email the next am: "We have changed your flight." The new one put me in GOT 10 hours too late. A button said "accept" another "cancel" I cancelled. The next morning I got the same email, I cancelled, again. This morning I got a text: Action required. I called, was on hold for 1 hour and 58 minutes. Then was told that Lufthansa would not give me a refund. (Close to $1000.) I called Lufthansa, within in minutes they gave me a full refund, BUT I have to talk to Expedia so they can give it to me. I am not looking forward to dealing with Expedia again, ever. I wilI probably be put on hold for hours to receive my refund they should have gotten me in the first place. I cancelled within 24 hours and ONLY because THEY changed my flight! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY, EVER! STAY AWAY! RUN AWAY!

Expedia Credit voucher

In Australia our border closures have been erratic. I had a booking through Expedia for Travel in Feb 2021, but had to cancel as Tasmania was not letting NSW in. This booking was on # 7508542875764 and I used the Expedia app to try and change the date, but I could not so I cancelled it assuming that I would get a voucher for the whole amount as I stated it was Covid related. I received a $54.08 out of the $689 that I had originally paid. In a time or a pandemic Expedia offers poor customer service no ability to speak to person and their chat line is a bot that is impossible to use. Their wait lines for a phone is ridiculous and they offer no email. They are very happy to take your money and act dumb.

I ended up having a new booking ID #72039852899497 that I used in April when the borders in Australia opened again. This I paid in full myself, so I want Expedia to refund me the original payment I made on my initial booking # 7508542875764 of $689 and they can cancel $54.08 as I won't be using it.

I went to bundle a trip from 07/02/-07/11/2021 with a partial booking of a hotel to the moon palace cancun from fll, it looks like your company allowed only the flights to be taken out of my account! Where is my room?

I asked for the itinerary to be sent to be under MY EXPEDIA ACCOUNT and i was given 2 numbers from 1970?

Expedia Cruise refund due to Covid Cancellation

I paid C$530 deposit with Expedia.ca to book a 7-night Baltics Cruise from Stockholm. The scheduled departure date was June 29, 2020. The cruise was later cancelled due to Covid.
Since I did not get the service I paid for, I thought it would be a simple matter to get a refund for the money I paid - AND I WAS SO WRONG.
Expedia sent me a notice about the cancelled cruise on May 22, 2020. I was given a choice of cash refund and 125% future cruise credit. I responded on the same day, opted for cash refund. I immediately got a confirmation on the screen saying: "You are all set ... we will provide a refund ...within 30-45 days.". I was reminded many times not to contact them, because they will be busy. I was assured that my request would be fulfilled as promised.
3 months later, when I still did not hear from Expedia, I called their Customer Service Hotline. The staff told me that he could not effect the refund. When I told him that I had a confirmation, he did not care, and told me that sending such confirmation to him would be useless.
I then tried to contact Expedia by email countless number of times, but got no response.
I tried to get a refund thru my credit card, but Expedia rebutted my request, claiming that I missed the deadline for requesting credit card refund.
I think it was perfectly clear that:
(1) I paid Expedia for a service (Cruise)
(2) The service was cancelled not by my own will
(3) Expedia promised to provide a refund
(4) Such refund has NEVER been made
(5) When I tried to follow up with the company, they simply ignored me
It is clear to me that Expedia simply wants to unreasonably forfeit my money. I cannot help but wonder what kind of company is Expedia. It is operating like a scam.

Desired outcome: To get a refund for my payment of C$530, for a cruise that was cancelled due to Covid.

Expedia United Airline credit on Expedia - cannot be activated on Expedia!

have now spent over 3 hours on the phone with Expedia representatives trying to resolve the inability to access $305 of remaining United Airlines credit I have in Kevin Weidenbaum's name on Expedia (see Expedia email below). As of 4/18/2021 I had a $413.20 credit on United Airlines, originally booked through Expedia - meaning I can only rebook through Expedia. My original Expedia reservation number was [protected]... this number was showing as valid as recently as yesterday morning, but now it is not. My original United Airlines reservation number was [protected].

When I went to use my $413.20 credit, Expedia app - to my surprise - would only allow me to book a 1-way ticket at a time. I booked an inexpensive 1-way ticket for Kevin Weidenbaum, whereby Expedia noted at both the time of booking AND THE CONFIRMING EMAIL BELOW that I had a remaining balance of $305 to used by March 2022. When I went to book Kevin's return flight, Expedia stated no credit is available. AFTER 2 Hours of talking and actively holding for Expedia reps to check with airlines, Expedia said my confirmation number [protected] no longer exists - Despite EXPEDIA Emails still showing both that reference number and a $305 balance.

I've received 2 confirmation notices from Expedia on the 1-way fare I booked PDX-SAT with part of the credit, BUT when I click on the link it states "trip cancelled." Please help coordinate Expedia's app to activate my remaining United Airline credit and stop this Expedia nightmare I am experiencing. Thank you very much.

Expedia Flight

I originally bout a 7 a.m. flight to Dallas with Jetblue. That flight was inexplicably moved to 9:30 a.m. I called customer serviced and was told i could change to an 8 a.m. flight with American. They told me explicitly there was no charge to change. I asked "is there a cost" and they said "no". Next day my flight is CANCELLED. Turns out they cancelled my jetblue flight but I was never booked with American. I try to rebook my original flight and they tell me its $308 more than my original cost. Customer service was very unhelpful. Could not get a straight answer. Asked to speak to a manager, they said I couldn't, but they would call me in an hour. 12 hours later, still no call.

Desired outcome: $308 reimbursement plus $200 for inconvenience.

Expedia Hotel reservations

Booked 2 night stay at Quality Inn in Clarksdale Mississippi (04/16/2021 and 04/17/2021) on 03/21/2021. Received email from Expedia confirming reservation. Itinerary number [protected], confirmation number [protected]. Called Quality Inn 2 days later to confirm, no record of any reservation under my name or confirmation number. They were all booked that weekend because of a festival in town. Called Expedia (03/23/2021), talked with Luis V/sallmejiavalle to get a refund for $267.39. He said he had to contact the hotel on this issue. Luis send email on 04/2/2021, stating he talked with Quality Inn and they decided not to issue refund (lie). I called Quality Inn on 04/5/2021, they again said no reservations under my name for those dates. Called Expedia again on 04/09/2021, talked with Franklin C, he said he would work on the refund. Didn't hear back from him so I sent phone number for Quality Inn to him 3 days later. Have not heard anything from those people. Tired of calling and put on hold for hour or more. Had made reservation in Batesville Mississippi to attend the festival. Stopped at the Quality Inn in Clarksdale to check in, knowing there was no reservation. Showed them original email from Expedia, again confirmed by them no knowledge of any reservation under my name or the confirmation number. Expedia has my money and I demand a refund.

Expedia Air Canada government demanded refund

We are now issuing refunds for all cancelled flights (including partially used tickets) with travel dates on or after February 1, 2020 and tickets purchased before April 13, 2021 - no matter if it was cancelled by you or Air Canada. We are also issuing refunds if you've already exchanged the value of your unused ticket for an Air Canada Travel Voucher, Aeroplan Points or eCoupon for a cancelled flight during the same time period.

Like many others I booked through Expedia so Air Canada tells me that they do not have my money but Expedia does. The Government had not made it clear to all agencies that they HAVE to refund us our money.

I tried to contact Expedia - They give me the runaround.

All their emails do NOT work and phone wait on hold time is 3 hours.

I took the option to leave my number for a call-back and nobody returned the call.

No bailout should be given until the whole process is streamlined.

How can I get my money now that AC say that Expedia have it and that they have to initiate the refund process?

Expedia Customer service

Why when you TRY to contact Customer Service and you request a call back it can take 4 plus hours then the person who does call you back they don't understand Expedia's Policy's or the customer can't not understand their language ?

Desired outcome: No more then 1 hr call back as well a English speaking person!

Expedia Unethical business practices

To whom it may concern,

This is to notify you that Expedia.com is attempting not to honor an airline credit for $5500.00 on Hawaiian Airlines that would have been valid through June 2020, but for COVID. As you know, no travel was permitted as of March 2020, so I am unsure how I was supposed to use a credit if I was not legally permitted to travel.
Expedia has been saying that Hawaiian is in charge of the credit, but Hawaiian is saying that since I purchased thru Expedia, they are in control of the credit. The latter makes more sense, since Expedia is the one that charged me.
I am a mom of 3 little kids and lost my job due to COVID. $5500 is a lot of money to just throw away. The only light at the end of this dark tunnel we have all been in is that we can finally take a trip this summer and use our credit. However, we are learning that's not the case.
This is extremely unethical of Expedia to not honor the credit due to something that was out of my control, especially since my account on their website shows that the credit had been extended until May of 2022.
Expedia needs to take responsibility and stop stealing money from people who have suffered enough during a very challenging time.

Expedia Traveling credit/ customer service reps

3/25 book trip for $527.75.4/8 same flight I requested to be modified as there was a price drop. To $397.75. Was told to call back in 3 days to redeem flight credit and to see the updated flight credit in my account. The credit is still not reflecting in my account and the flight I modified is showing now at $975.50! Called back on sunday, only to be told the flight credit is not showing and the site is still being updated but they can see the credit and the correct ticket changed price to $397.75 but I cant. And to callback in another 3 days. While I worried about the new reservation tickets still being available I was reassured that the price would still be the same. 4 days later (today) been calling back and forth all morning, waiting 1.5-2.5 hrs each time for a call back. First call back, rep;s computer was down, pormised a callback, she never called back. Had to call again and be pplaced on the 2hr min+ callback waiting list. 2nd rep calls me back. Now im beyond furious. I explain all my troubles to him, he explains to me that I couldve called delta 7 [censored]n days ago to redeem that same credit! He goes ahead and right before applying the credit to the new reservations that in fact went up in price, he offers to transfers me to delta to speak to their rep. I said im already on the 4hr wait callback list to speak to a delta rep from this morning, will I get to speak directly to someone, he reassures me yes that expedia has different phone numbers. He goes ahead and transfers me for me only to get asked to be placed on another waiting list. Finally got the call back from delta (im writing this and spoke to the delta rep all while still being on new phone call wait for an expedia rep) delta rep informed me that info from expedia was not true and that they dont see any travel credits from my name, conf #, or itenarary #. Worse part the flights I need r now down to only 2 being left. When I tell u I will neverrrrr book anything through expedia ever again. Im a disgusted by your customer service. Not only do I have to pay for a higher fair but now the flights I need may not be availble by the time a customer service rep decides to take my call.

Expedia Customer service unapproachable for reimbursement

Expedia used to be the most trustful site around for traveling. Me and my relatives were booking everything through Expedia. I booked, like lots of other people, a ticket with Air France to Bucharest, on the 30th of June 2020. The flight was cancelled. I talked to them. They were really nice and asked me to call them back two weeks before the flight and check that. I did it and they told me I'll get an answer soon. Indeed, I received an email from them letting me know that I have to call them after the 1st of September 2020 for filling the documents for a refund. I did it, a nice representative was staying with me about 15-20 minutes to file it. When I didn't get the money back after 6 weeks I called them back. Another representative answered, and she told me kind of rough that the money have been reimbursed. I needed to talk for a while to understand that she didn't really understand what she was reading. She was referring to the fact that the refund has been filed with Air France, not that I got my money back. Finally, she told me to wait for the reimbursement.

Nothing happened until now. It's mid-April 2021. Some friends, booking with real agencies, FOR THE SAME PERIOD, with Air France, filed the reports later than I did, in November, but got their money back. I called them again. Oh well, a complete change of Customer Service attitude:
1. Waited for more than 2 hours and nobody answered.
2. I chose the option: "Get a call back from one of our agents" and got the answer from the robot that a call cannot be scheduled.
3. Tried the chat option on their site and got the "virtual agent" answer, repeatedly (about 20 times) that all chat agents are "busy".
4. Tried to give them feedback and they recommended to choose "the email option", to get a reply. Guess what: there is no email option anymore.

Is there a way to contact them? Clearly Air France reimburse their flights.

Tried to cancel online — was told by expedia I had to call them — so cancelling online is not enough — even the hotel told me that expedia would have refund me the amount if they wanted to they said they realized the room was not used!! Checked in date was supposed to be 03-12-21- and checked out date was supposed to be 03-13-21

Expedia Refund for flight

Due to the global pandemic it is impossible to make my flight that I purchased through Expedia on October 11, 2020. I asked them for a refund. I got the usual where they say they will contact the airline and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks and did not hear anything. I contacted Hahn air and they responded saying that Expedia never contacted them. They did say that they are a Business to Business Company, so Expedia would have to issue the refund request. I contacted Expedia again. They told me they would look into it. Again I did not hear from them in a timely manner. I then filed a complaint with the BBB. After almost a month Expedia responded. Their Customer Resolution member told me that Hahn air would only issue a refund if my flight time was involuntarily changed to 3 hours or more and that mine was not. They said I could pay a penalty of $118 and get the remainder refunded and to contact them if that is what I wanted to do. I called them that day and was on hold for 2 hours. They finally took my call and then put me on hold for another hour then the call disconnected. I gave them a couple of days to see if they would contact me. They did not. I called them again and explained the whole situation again. They told me they would push this to their support team. 3 days later I get a short email telling me that Hahn air is sticking to their fine print agreement that I agreed to when I purchased the ticket. My flight time has now been involuntarily changed by 3 hours and 15 minutes so I called Expedia back. They told me that Hahn air is not issuing any refunds to anyone but they are issuing credits. I told them about the email I got from their Customer Resolution stating that I could get a refund. They told me they would look into it and get back to me. I have not heard from them about this.

Desired outcome: I want my $397.90 refund.
