What is going on with my claim? Social security number is [protected]. I have not heard from the Georgia Department of labor. The Georgia Department of Labor has failed my family. I continue to be locked out of the UI portal with no help from the GDOL. This serves as a paper trail to my correspondence to receive benefits. I have reached out to the US Department of labor. I have also contacted several United States Senators including the White House concerning my initial claim in March 2021.
I am not sure what is taking so long nor the reasoning behind it. I promise you that the problem will be solved.
Best Regards,
Cheverly Gordon
Desired outcome: To see funds immediately deposited
covid19 unemployment benefits
I received my benefit for 06/04 on my card, I was supposed to receive two more weeks, I received in mail letter wanting to stating they couldnt locate me in the system, after they apparently located me enough to load my card on 06/04, I sent in info requested, I still have not received my other benefits, I cannot get anyone to call me or text or email me anything about my benefits and they were filed by my employer, I have left 5 voicemails at the local office. My name is Prudence Price, If you could please have someone contact me at [protected] or [protected] and let me know what is going on, everyone else at the company I work for received theirs.
Desired outcome: my benefits on my card would be nice

- Response due date: 04/27/2021
- Response provided: 04/26/2021
Email verification and fax information available if needed.
A response for requested verifying information was sent out on 4/27/2021. A response was sent out prior to the deadline date. During this time, I have spoken to the UI group of which I was told that my UI was approved but there was a hold up by the integrity group.
I have sent copy(s) of the requested information along with the initial email that was sent to me by the integrity group.
I have provided my UI claims every week, send emails, made calls and had the Governor's office send communication on my behalf, still I did not receive any response or have seen any UI funds. I am still out of work due to covid, and I am in a financial crisis.
1. Have provided weekly claims
2. Have reached out on several occasions to the offices of the GA dept. or Labor
3. Referral letter from the Governor's office has been sent out to the Dept. of Labor
Desired outcome: Contact and approval buy the UI integrity group to release UI funds
The website
the website takes 2 mins to load and still says cannot reload web page. issue started in March 2021. I have not been able to upload documents and claim weekly benefit. I have tried on my phone, tablet and laptop. I ran diagnostics on laptop and it said that the website that is not responding. I've been in Georgia trying to access, NC trying to access and VA trying to access. it's almost seems like i'm being hacked. I have not received my UI compensation for the 5 months of october 2020-february 2021 due to being fired for lack of work. I received my letter in may and have not received a dime. I have not recieved my PUA compensation and because the website is not responding I cannot request payment for ANYTHING for 2 months now. this needs to be resolved!
Desired outcome: i should be able to request benefits weekly
Unemployment Benefits
I applied for benefits on July 13th, 2021 and my identity was verified on July 14th, 2021 via ID.me. I was advised per GDOL own website, once your identity is verified on ID.me, I would receive an email within 48 hours. Its now July 26th, 2021 and I have not received an email nor an response from my voicemails neither. I would like to reset my PIN, to started filing weekly claims.

I applied for pua July 2020. I have called and called no answer. I have not received not one payment. Here it is July 2021. I received one email in Feb. To send my wage versification. Why no response? Nobody cares. It shouldn't take over a year to get nothing. Could I please get my money that I am owe. Communication is lacking at Gdol. Who cares? They dont
Unemployment
On November 29th 2020, I filed for unemployment. I had been in the hospital for a week and was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. My employer decided to terminate my job since I couldn't preform my job safely. I have gone through all the forms and done the bells and whistles that I was asked to do.
After I applied for unemployment, I was locked out of my account for a several weeks. Then I started getting emails from this ID me thing. Filled out all the forms they wanted me too. Uploaded all the documents they wanted. They finally contacted me via video chat so they could see that my face matched my photo ID and see the documents that I had uploaded.
Now I have done everything that was asked of me. I can't get online now to claim my weekly benefits like I'm suppose to. When I try to bring up the page it says that it can't be found.
All the phone numbers that I have called, there is no one to answer. Only a machine. All the messages that I have left, go unanswered. My name is Thomas Chunn Account [protected] Contact #'s H [protected] C [protected]
Desired outcome: I would be so relieved if some one would reach out and contact me. Help me get this resolved as quickly as possible.
U. I. Benefits
To whom it may concern
I've been reaching out to the GDOL now since March 30, 2021. I've had to leave my job coastal marine electronics on March 19, 2021 because of low hours and decided to move back to my home town to take care of my elderly father who has Alzheimer's . I've applied for over 16 jobs however have not been contacted. I'm 58 yrs old and feel this is why.
I've called GDOL Approximately 30 times and been e-mailing almost as many times. I have received 1 email back with a confirmation no. 7450935 on 6/8/2021. I have not heard back since I'm in desperate need It seems inhuman to be left like this. I've worked all my life never asking for handouts.
I'm hoping this complaint email reaches someone who cares. I am also a veteran
Sincerely
Robert Peterson

Desired outcome: Get my unemployment benefits
No Service Available
I am beyond exhausted and frustrated in trying to contact the GA Unemployment office. My last attempt was this past week, I began calling around 7:50 (before opening at 8 am) to see if my call would be in queue in which I would not have mind if I had to waiting 10 minutes on the line. I called 15 times between 7:50 - 8:02 am and the automated answering service was kept responding. At 8:03 am, the line was already busy! How was this possible? I was extremely upset that I emailed the Commissioner right after, still awaiting a reply. I also called other numbers and left messages and sent emails.
I understand the federal unemployment has been taken away; however, they stopped paying my "own job contribution" benefits as well. They are 2 weeks late and heading to my 3rd week. I have also been recording my job search since the new rules because effective recently. They also need to update their outdated and inaccurate system.
Desired outcome: I need them to call me back!
they dont have the phones set up to transfer you to a real person they purposely have it disabled. There is absolutely no way to speak to them unless they call you. I sent 7 emails until someone finally called me 2 months later just to tell me the same thing ive heard for months "we will work your claim in the order it was received" im currently about to be on 6 months with a pending claim STILL. good luck
Pua proof of wages
My first week eligible for pua was 4/12 of 2020 August 10th of 2020 I was asked to send in proof of wages I did so and was sent back a response that they received my proof of wages and it was being processed I heard nothing for months could not get in touch with anybody and then when I got a hold of somebody they told me I was denied that they did not received my proof of wages I have it on record on my Gmail from the Georgia DOL August 10th of 2020 that they had received my proof of wages and it was being processed have spoken with one lady three different times and she is never mentioned anything about it she said I was caught up in a glitch in the system is this a big joke or what I want the commissioner to lose his job and have to draw unemployment and lose his house and car then he'll see how it feels
Desired outcome: Just to be paid the $19 or $20,000 in back pay I'm back to work now but I've lost everything
Trying to apply for unemployment benefits since November 2020 and no response.
I have been trying to get unemployment since November 15, 2020. After 16 years of service with Synovus I was laid off. I went online to Georgia Department of Labor and filled out forms and eventually my pin was locked . I tried to reset it but was unable to after following procedures. I have called multiple times to the Columbus of the Georgia department of labor and leaving messages with no response. I have filed complaints online with no response. I have reached out to the State Representative office of Sanford Bishop and The Georgia Governor office sending letters in my behalf still no response. It has been almost 10 months with response trying constantly to get in touch with the Georgia Department of Labor. My next step will be going to the news media and inform them of my situation for a resolution.
Desired outcome: Just to get a response back from the Columbus Georgia Department of Labor.
Mine dates back to October I have had the most success speaking to someone (still unresolved but now documented) using this number
Hope this helps you and God Bless keep fighting!

Pua unemployment
I have been driving for Uber since Sept 2017. I never stopped even when covid was at it worst. My earnings dropped to almost nothing so I applied for Pua and still drove. I have been recieving payments up until the time they asked for my tax paperwork and such from 2019/2020. They gave me until August to upload them onto their website. I did this at the end of May/beginning of June. I have not heard anything from them and I have been calling and leaving messages. I also have emailed them with no response. Every Monday I try to get an appointment from their website and at 8am it says no appts available. I have since relocated to Indiana and updated my mailing address and I received an email confirming the change and advising me my case will be handled by the Interstate claims office. I still cant reach anyone and I have not had any payments since end of april even though I continue to certify each week. I have used the little savings that I had as I am a single mother of twin daughters. I am wondering how I will be able to pay my rent after this month, I received the new redetermination letter adding additional weeks to my claim. I uploaded everything they asked for and dont know if maybe there is a document missing because I cant reach anyone. My deadline to submit is in August. Their recordings says they are there for us and case but no response after two months of calling and emailing. I even drove from Indiana to Atlanta to go to their office in person (unaware that they were still working remotely). That just shows how desperate things are beginning to look for the future of my family. I tried their social media sites and webpage but their is nothing there about my situation. Any assistance you can provide would be a great blessing. Thank you so much for allowing me to post this. Kristye Osborne
Desired outcome: for someone to look at my uploaded documents and resume my payments or call me to let me know if there is something missing.
Unemployment insurance claim
I filed for unemployment over a month ago and I still have not received a determination letter from the DOL. Like everyone else I have called my local office which is in Cartersville several times and left messages but do no get a call back. I also have a problem with ID.ME the service they use to verify your identity. I received an email weeks ago that I needed to verify thru ID.ME but after I set up my account it would not route me to the page to download my documents. I have contacted ID.Me but still no resolution. I did email my documents directly to the DOL because I gave up on ID.ME. I filed my claim at the end of may it is now middle July and still nothing.
Unethical Behavior and Business Laws
General Wholesale Company on 539 Laney Walker Blvd Augusta Georgia 30901 is engaging in unethical behaviors. The company has their employees in the warehouse working with no ventilation and air conditioning. The place is infested with asbestos, and they only give their employees only a 30 min break for working over 12 hours. Take tour of warehouse.
Unemployment
I filed unemployment on may 20, 2021. My case is still pending as of today, july 9, 2021. I have left 4 call backs, 2 emails with no reply from the office. When I finally get a hold of customer service with a 2 and half hour wait. They tell me if is still in pending status and could be another 4-6 months before my claim maybe approved. Georgia system is severely broken! Shame on the state. I am a single women that was sexual harrassed by the owner and vice president when I complained I was fired, even though I was doing my job.
Hire more people to process the claims, people need jobs in the state!
Desired outcome: Speeding Approvals
Benefits during the Covid- 19 Crisis of 2020.
I filed a claim on 02/20. Due to my job shut down suddenly and move to Kennesaw, Ga. I received my first check on 06/21/20, for which I was given only the extra $300.00 a week. I was not paid the correct amount from the time I file my claim until my first payment. I should have received the extra $600.00 a week at that time I file my unemployment claim until now. From 02/2020 to 06/2021 I was not given the pandemic $600.00 which everyone else received during that time. I think I should have been given the same consideration to received $600.00 Covid-19 money. I filed an online complaint on 6/6/21 conformation #363726 and again on 6/19/21 conformation #369558, and yet I have not gotten a response from GDOL. Please can someone email me at [protected]@yahoo.com?
Thanks in advance.
Its probably going to be awhile before you hear anything if you do, my conformation # starts with 33 and I got it on 4/15/2021 and haven't heard from anyone. I tried emails and phone calls and even when I get someone they don't have the authority to help me nor give me any information about when I might get my case resolved. Good luck!
PUA backdated to 10/18/2020
I filed and qualified for both regular unemployment insurance compensation as well as pua and began filing in October of 2020. I had to send several messages and appeals before finally reaching Brad Stancil examiner for Toccoa Georgia location. He requested documents stating that they couldn't find any wages on me which I find hard to believe since the last job that I had was in Georgia and the final date of last day of work was 1:15 of 2021. As required I openly told them that I did receive unemployment previously for wages earned in 2019 out of the state of Tennessee for which they claim they could find no wages I provided the documentation and Mr Stancil never responded to confirm that he received this information so upon not receiving any any information from anyone I called Georgia and finally reached a customer service agent who informed me that there was an open claim in Tennessee I automatically assume that this was fraud because I hadn't filed the claim in Tennessee since August which they suddenly stopped after four payments 9/03/2020 was the last payment or correspondence from TN until January of 2021 I received a monetary determination but was now filing in GA the last state in which I worked as an employee and a gig worker. As stated earlier Georgia denied my claim for regular unemployment claiming that they couldn't verify wages. Georgia is now stating that I need to file a new claim which is impossible because they told me to keep recertifying my pua claim because of the back dating. I have done everything that they asked me to do as far as certifying and presenting documentation as proof they have since sent me my monetary decision but my last inquiry they said that because of that Tennessee claim being open which I didn't initiate Tennessee mysteriously initiated, they would not be able to pay my backdated claim until Tennessee claim was closed. Now that the Tennessee claim is closed they're saying I have to file a new claim all of this is in the effort to avoid paying the back pay that is owes me from October of 2020. Neither of the employers have denied my right to unemployment this is all initiated by the Georgia and the Tennessee department of Labor to withhold benefits that I am qualified for because they don't want to have to pay the back dated amount.
Desired outcome: My approved and verified PUA and UI back pay
Unemployment payments
I applied back in May. I can't get anyone on the phone. No one returns emails. This state is supposed to be fully open but these offices are not. If we are supposed to be out looking for work they should be open and handling our claims in a timely manner. I know people who have been waiting since March to get benefits. We need someone to help us with these issues
Desired outcome: Someone to contact me about my claim.
I have a determination letter dated 6/15/21 and I am still not receiving benefits. Then, there is a message in my UI portal that says I did not certify for 3 weeks straight and then certified asking for those 3 weeks which indicates possible fraud? Consequently I have to reapply? I certified every week as I was supposed to. The problem is after you certify they give you no proof you did. No confirmation email, nothing! Since the beginning of covid they have not returned one of my phone calls or replied to one of my emails.
I'm thinking a class action lawsuit may need to be organized because we are being deterred and defrauded simply because GA and TN no longer want to pay backdated claims.
been waiting since april 11th...have verified with ID.me submitted resumes on the workforce site received a letter with claim amount 2 months ago ...im at 4 months with no contact or information from the department of labor in GA. Thankfully I found a job back in june but it would be nice to receive the 3 months of backpay I need to catch up during that time. Good luck is all I can say it took my buddy exactly 6 months (yes a half a year!) to get his UI. Unacceptable, commissioner for GDOL is trash and needs to boot he claims everything against him is a political attack from democrats. Man is ignorant af and im a republican
Unemployment Benefits
I applied for UI in FL first because my company thought that is where I should apply. I moved during the pandemic. Then FL told me my base period for wages were in GA and should file there. I filed. My last day at work was April 15, 2021. I received 2 weeks UI from GA. Last week of May and first week of June. Then it just stopped. I've been filing every week. I cannot talk to anyone, the appt. scheduler does not work. I've sent many emails to cust service with no response. I even called Gov Kemp's office and they said they would escalate my claim.
I filed an appeal in a timely manner. I'm looking for my weeks since my lay off through the end of June. July 1, 2021 I might need to re-file in Florida. It's so hard to understand the base period of which they based this on. Why would benefits start and stop without any explanation? I need help desperately! Nancy Jane Walker 404.580.8983
Desired outcome: Call from DOL. Phone appt.
I'm in a similar situation only mine has be ongoing since 10/2020. What was your outcome?
PUA Payments
I was receiving PUA payments until late November 2020 when they were exhausted. The GDOL website asked that people still certify each week in the event that extensions were issued. The extensions were in fact issued and I continued to certify each week...always getting a message saying that my certification was accepted. I have yet to see any PUA extension payments. I have called and sent several emails to no avail. Can you help?
Best regards...
Desired outcome: To receive my payments
I started my claim in 10/2020 submitted documents and Cont'd to recertify as they instructed, but today they are saying I have to file a new claim, when they just told me to keep certifying so that I keep my back dating. This crazy. What was your outcome if any?
