my docter called in a prescription for acid reflux at the giant eagle pharmacy, i went through the drive through i was asked my name and birthdate, paid and was handed a paperbag stapled with what i thought was my medicine. since i was having heartburn i drove away from the window...less than 100 feet and open the bag to take the medication. i realized they had given me the wrong medicine and immediately went back through the drive through to make them aware of the problem. they immediately ask me my name again and got the correct medicine but told me they couldn't take the wrong one back or give me my money since i drove from the window without checking . there is nothing on my receipt that stated that i have to keep the wrong medicine medicine because i drove away. some one tell me what to do.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
"there is nothing on my receipt that stated that i have to keep the wrong medicine medicine because i drove away".
Duh, they don't write dopey stuff that you should already know onto receipts for the benfit of morans. What should you do? How about you check your med next time before leaving like a bat out of Heel.
I recommend you stay at the window, open the bag and check the bottle to make sure it's correct before leaving... seems like a no brainer.
I called in a monthly refill that is only 9 pills, I made made special arrangements to pick up the prescription because my vechicle was in the garage getting repaired. Two day after I called in the refill when picked up they said was too soon. When I got home Icalled the ins. co and they said the pharmacy never tried to put it through, and while I was on the phone with a pharmacy tech they were rude, saying they are giving me a convience! Where? If it wasnt for the customers they wouldn"t have a job! Giant Eagle Rices Landing pa. usa [protected] Natalie M. Cecchini
Overuse of antibiotics is a major health problem that leads to tolerance of bacteria and viruses to such drugs. Your promotion of free antibiotics will only encourage patients to ask for them and prescribers to order them. This is an ill considered program. Give away what you wish but as health professionals you should use better judgement.
Went to pick up my prescription. Waited 10 min. with 4 people behind counter and register open. Asked why 1 of the 4 couldn't help me. Told they were very busy. Asked if customer standing right in front of them wasn't important. Told I could transfer my prescription elsewhere. So, me, my family, relatives and friends are doing just that. Loyal customer for years.
We've been using Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Chardon, Ohio for quite a long time. Recently my doctors office called in a refill of Triamcinolone Acetonide. When I went to use it, I notice it had small undissolved particles of cream that wouldn't smooth out. I took it back to the pharmacy and ask for a replacement tube. The pharmacist refused, and instead, told me to call customer service where the product was manufactured (Perigo Pharmaceuticals). I was surprised and very disappointed with his response. There is a definite problem with the product, and since I purchased the cream from Giant Eagle, not the manufacturer, they should have provided the replacement right away. It's unfortunate, but I 'm switching all of mine and my family's prescriptions to another pharmacy.
