Over payment
I'm writing because I was over charged for my room. I attend Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota on June the 20th until June 24th. When I checked in the young man said I had to put a desposit down of $100 and that's it. When I booked the room I had a code because you all were doing a great sell. This was my first time at any Great wolf. My friend suggested it and we both booked at the same time to take the family. Now when we checked in she had to pay the remaining balance. When I checked in he didnt say I had a balance because I knew I didnt because I went thru affirm to pay the whole balance for my stay. When I get my bill via email there was a different price than what I know I was suppose to pay. My friend had an upgrade to her room and I know how much my room was because affirm paid it in full. I've sent letters and it said someone would get back to me and I haven't heard from anyone. I even called and the lady said someone will contact me and still haven't heard from anyone. All I want is a refund for what they took extra out my account. I would have never paid that much for the room when I know I had the coupon code Spring. I just want someone to resolve this. Reservations
Booked a reservation online and was charged and booked for two reservations instead of one! Called the reservation line spent 20 min waiting and was told it was probably a glitch in the computer system. They canceled the additional reservations but said it would take 7 to 10 days to refund my money. Very upset that to no fault of my own I was charged twice!...

I made reservations in May 2022 for my stay June 15th, 2022, I was never advised that I wouldn't have access to my balcony because of renovations being done right outside my window on the 2nd floor. I was advised via the website that renovations were being done at the lodge, but I was never advised that the workers would be banging right outside my window. GWL knew that the Grizzy Bear room I had chosen didn't give me access to balcony and I should have been advised prior to my arrival that these amenities wouldn't be available to me during my stay. After I arrived at the Lodge on June 15th, 2022, I was told that balcony was unavailable and when I went to my room the construction men were banging on the walls outside my room. Unacceptable for the price I paid a free breakfast and dinner will not compensate for my horrific stay at GWL Williamsburg Va.

Promised not honor by current manager

Back in 2017 I was promised over the phone by the director of services of great wolf lodge located in Williamsburg va by Ms. Stephanie that I was going the get 50% discount every time I will stay with the lodge. During her employment and my stay 2018 and 2019 I got the 50%.
Unfortunately with since I don’t get that in writing, I can’t get the 50% anymore. I never got the written promised thinking that great wolf lodge employees will honor the promise. Unfortunately this is not the case.
I wish your employee would keep and honor the promise. I am very disappointed with that services.

I 1245, 11 what was initially paid upon checking in ONE night . Then I added the late check in for 115.04
The gentleman behind the counter was RUDE made comments that the 4 children with me were all taller and bigger than me including my twins . They didn’t get the birthday stuff I kept insisting on
We have stayed at that site NUMEROUS times I couldn’t again into the water park because of the strong usage of chemicals made me sick (don’t say it’s mandatory I own a pool that much is unhealthy plus I’m a dr when it makes anyone want to nauseated it’s unsafe levels)

Water park rule Sandusky ohio
Me and my family visited the park we wore swim shoes to prevent athletes foot and injuries coming down the slide. Workers informed me I wasn’t allowed to wear my shoes coming down the slide I tore my foot up pretty good. After looking around I seen several people with this issue. Think they should be considered about blood borne pathogens

No cont. breakfast, no toiletries, no towels, no cream or sugar for coffee, holes in walls, facility poor customer service
1st poor customer service- when I went to check in I arrived later in the day due to loading my car and having to bury them and having vivid that I was getting over so I tried to explain this to reception and ask since my son missed a hole day if they could extend our stay by a day they didn’t even care at all and offered no consultation for my circumstances after paying over $1,000 for 2 nights.
2 it’s not a cashless facility if you have a vending machine that only accepts cash that was a lie so that when I tried to put a cash deposit down she didn’t have to.
3 holes in the walls of our room and no amenities in the room. They have no conditioner with the tiny bottle of shampoo. No cream or sugar and only two cups of coffee for the grand bear suite when there are three beds. 1 kg, 2 queens. Sleeps 7! And no continental breakfast, you’d think for $500 they could give you some sustenance for a day at the water but they are cheap and want you to spend ridiculous bucks for everything here, it’s so expensive and over priced I can’t believe it.

Condition: My understanding is that his location recently open and hasn't been a year yet if not about a year. The rooms took forever to be ready. I was told it was being inspected. The bathroom shower tub wall still had tangled hair from the previous guests. I called the service desk to send someone over to get it cleaned up without any further complaints. No one ever came, I had to wash my kids so I took antibacterial wipes and cleaned it myself. GROSS! Such a horrible first impression of the rooms.
The water park facility, it was super humid, the floors are slippery due to water residue (hasn't been cleaned, build up water scums). The stairs to water slides and structures were very very very nasty and dirty with hair everywhere. I felt as if the place was full of bacterias. Women shower rooms there were some sort of flying insect all over the walls which was gross.
Life guards and employees were all young barely watching over kids. I even saw few girls employees on the slide section just fixing her nails and hair.
General quality of the facility, service, and maintenance was all below my expectation. Will never recommend this place and also I will never return here with my family.
Quality in general is horrible and not maintained.

Emergency response/customer service
My wife, daughter, granddaughter and I booked a five day stay at the Wolf lodge. About 3 hrs. After a rival my wife( 56 y/o) falls in a restaurant area hitting the back of her head briefly loosing consciousness briefly. Me and my daughter quickly responded to her while a member of the public assisted in getting an ice pack from a nearby store because of a knot the fall made. Within 1-2 mins we requested help from staff. It took approx 15 mins for the first staff member to arrive. Stating when employees reached out to him they had only requested an ice pack. For quite a while they couldn't figure out what to do when dealing with a concussion. Which Google lays out proper procedures had anybody bothered to Google it. I requested emt services against staff advise so they could assess her health with appropriate technology. It was my granddaughters birthday as well. She stayed up late because she was assured a birthday banner and balloons would be put on the door as were the other birthday kids. I I asked 2-5. Times daily for them to no avail. They never came despite being guaranteed they would arrive. My wife decided she needed one more day to rest cause of tailbone and cranium aches so she called to book another day. She was told she could cause all rooms were booked. Two hrs. Later an uncle of hers books a room I then go on the internet where there is rooms available.
The atrocities lived and the complete lack of human health and emergency procedures makes this establishment a dangerous and very unsafe environment especially for kids. Yes there is still physical harm and pain my wife is suffering from. But the psychological harm is detrimental. All my granddaughter speaks of is how no one helped her grandma when she fell and despite staying up late two nights in a row she never received a birthday banner like the other kids. I am deeply saddened by this trip and the psychological damaged imposed on us. I spent many months as well as my wife financially saving from our covid restricted budget to make it possible. All we received was the information that the footage will be used to train employees. No apology or nothing.
Desired outcome: The Great Wolf Lodges discretion in what they think the damages are worth physically and psychologically.

I came from California to the Arizona Lodge check in at 1:00 Friday the 4/22/20220. It was my gradaughter graduation. I spent over 900.00 in one day at your resort and the supervisor asked me to leave. I called down to the guest desk and asked them about how much credit was on my food since I pain 175.00 and got a 200.00 credit. I asked to speak with a manger this was on the phone. Vanazalez the supervisor got on the phone a nd said I was disrepecting them and that They wanted me to leave thje hotel to come and speak with her face to face. I packed up our things. Went down to chek out and I was in total shock to see hoe she treated me. I said here I am to check out and she was very rude. I receoved her voice session and she checked us out and asked several times why she was kicking us out. sahe never responded she was a bully! She check us out then took her hand and shrrs us off and said we were not allow to return to the hotel I said I would never come back here. Then she said we caqn go with hout no recepit or paper work just a shoosh of the hand. I said I wanted paperwork with my credit. She went to the bach with the other guest relations worker Savannah. They brought the manager Sol. I said this supersivor asked us to leave I want to know why and my paperwork for the credit. Sol advised me they never asked me to leave. I said Vanazelua behind you told us to leave and she was laughing. I have voice recording of all this. Sol went back to the back brought me my receipt of 390. I am very traumatized over the experience. I am 63 and my grandson and daughter are very distraught over this. I am sure you have the interaction on your camera and check out. I was never told why they were telling us to leave.. I was refunded 390.00 the whole purpose is this supervisor Vanalez very unprofessional. We check out if my daughter didnot live in Phoneix we would have to rush and get another hotel. I want this issue resolved Vanlazez in guest servicevery rude. I advise Sol and them I was voice recording them Then Last night I realized after driving 85 miles home to california that you should have this on camera.

Poor hygiene
My family celebrated spring break at the Great Wolf Anaheim. We check in on 4/17/22 and stayed in the Wolf den with the bunk. My daughter stayed on the top bunk and woke up with bites all over her ankle. That’s not it. We witness several kids having a bowel movement in the pool so several pools were close such as the lazy river, wave pool and the kiddie pool. It was close for less than 20 minutes. This is unacceptable and poor hygiene. I had to seek medical attention and brought my daughter to see the doctor. The doctor put her on Oral Steroids and high potency steroid cream. She’s currently suffering on her spring break and this is devastating. I have included the pictures. This is so unsanitary and I want others to know to please be careful.
I’m disappointing for paying that much for our stay and now I have to pay for all her doctors visit and prescription due to Great Wolf’s poor hygiene.

I has a great day at the cabanna.Has a great server name Olivia very professional. Went back to the room and called down at the front desk to find out my credit of my food which i paid 175.00 with my plan. The guests ervice person could not give me the breakdown.I questions her why. She was very unprofessional I ask for the manager .The supervisor VICTORIA KICK ME OUT OF THE HOTEL .I went down with our stuff and ask Victoria the supervisor why she was kicking me out.She gave no response I recovered the whole conversation. The check me out and said I can go.I said I am not leaving with out a docoument saying my credit. Sai the mangement said they were not kickig me out. And Victoria the supervisor just kept laughinh. For me to pay over 800.00 for one night is very unprofessional. They need to train the management better. to trat me like this is very disgusted. I would not recommend any one coming to the Wolfs Lodge in Scottsdale Arizona .I recorded them what they said. And let them know I recorded them
Overall experience
We checked into GWL on 04/19/22 and checked out on 04/21/22. The resort was so poorly understaffed that half of the rides and attractions were shut down. This was NOT posted on the website nor sent in the email before check in. Actually, it said the Wolf Tail would be closed for maintenance- but it was open our entire stay. The things that were shut down remained closed- and when I asked about it- I was told they didn’t have the staff to open them. The lines were ridiculously long because instead of having three people to run the 3 slides there was ONE person running back and fourth doing all of them. Resulting in you sitting or standing there for 10x longer than usual. They didn’t have the rock wall, or other attractions all open either because there was no one to operate them. The restaurant was VIRTUALLY EMPTY at 7pm and we were quoted 45 minute wait because they didn’t have any servers to service the tables. Our room had other peoples socks still in the bunk beds, the staff was rude and clearly over worked and annoyed with their daily jobs. We have been to GWL before the pandemic numerous times, and we will NEVER go back. Clearly this company cares more about the number of people they can shove in the door to make money then the experience their guests are having now. For instance, if you don’t have the staff- don’t allow “day pass” users into the hotel/water park to add to already longer wait times because of your short staffing issues. We paid hundreds of dollars to enjoy an experience, and we were met with unhappy kids because the stuff they were tall enough for, able to use was CLOSED- not for maintenance, not for cleaning, BUT because the lodge didn’t have employees. You should not be charging the same amount of money to stay when half of your slides, pools, and attractions are closed, or closing early. I am

My family got 3 rooms and during check in Patricia said we can't get all the wristbands and she was checking in two of us with two rooms with because we forgot to put all the names in the computer and wanted $50.00 per band in a room of six only gave 4 bands in each room. That's 4 bands costing extra $200.00 So we call the manager and them come over together. We want to talk to the manager because we couldn't deal with the mean disrespectful employee. She was so much nicer with her boss imagine that.That's not how you do business. My other son checked in with another person at the same time and got all the bands. We as grandparents had to sit in the room watching the little one because of this we were there a month ago and it was great. We come with 30 or more people most the time and spend a ton of money for to be scammed by this is unacceptable and we won't return. Horrible staff & security
It’s funny how things can change at the drop of a hat, my family & I were just there until I was approached by 2 security guards claiming I was standing to close to a lifeguard, I have no idea what occurred, I was busy watching my 3 year old & 6 year old in the little kiddie pool, I asked for a mgr, & they were completely useless, absolutely zero customer service, They’re falsely accusing me of something I did not do let alone realize what they’re talking about I was with my kids & my wife then they change their story saying I threatened someone & I was unruly & cut off from the bar, none of which occurred & which is completely absurd, my wife & kids were in tears, after getting nowhere w/mgmt I called the police myself said they can’t do anything so I packed up & left to the hotel down the street, I will be seeking council on this matter, im sure a lawsuit & charges for slander, defamation of character & false accusations will be in their future

Grand mound management
My family and I rented a blue couch in front of the wave pool for April 7, 2022. I made this reservation back in February and was very specific that I wanted to be in front of the wave pool. I was assured that I would be, I was also told that there were some upgrades made to the blue couch area recently. But I was not told that I was on the upper level by the bar, not by the wave pool as I specified. I have very young children and using the stairs constantly was going to be difficult. I asked to speak to the manager about this when I found out we were placed on the upper deck by the bar instead of down by the wave pool as I was assured on the phone. I had called the grand mound resort line directly to make this reservation. I have done this many times over the past three years, and I’ve never had a problem. The manager told me I could not ask for a specific location while booking, the now cabana, although I have always been able to book specific locations in the past. I was then told I’m already receiving a discount by paying $100 instead of $400, something I didn’t appreciate being told since I didn’t know the prices were going up when I initially booked anyway. I was told nothing could be done about it, I then asked if they could throw in a free Maggi quest or breakfast or something since I was clearly misled/lied to and my family spent a lot of money for this trip. The manager (A woman with long brown hair), very snarkyly told me that there was nothing to be offered to me and I could just cancel the cabana if I felt like it.
