prices, food items
On saturday may 27, 2017 at 8:50pm
While checking out, ask the manager how can a box of kroger bran flakes be new lower price at $2.29, when it been priced at $1.88 a box.
This is not a new lower price, this is a new higher price.
I noticed this on several items.
The manager said he has no idea on this matter.
When my wife & myself got home and started to unpack the groceries.
The packer had placed the brownsberry extra grainy 17 grains & seeds loaf of bread, on the bottom of brown paper bag smashing the bread almost to flatness.
They placed 2 bunches of bananas on top of bread, and the corn on cob on top of both also causing several bananas to be crushed

western union/customer service
On May 27, 2017 I went to Kroger's to pick up a western union money transfer. First of all I wasn't greeted by the 2 ladies. The lady named Maria was very rude and I guess agitated. Instead of them giving me the cash I wanted the to load it on my green dot card. First of all neither of them knew the loading fee. So when Maria put in the wrong fee she asked me for $1.00 in cash. I told her that I don't carry cash. So she got irritated by that. Then I said well just give me my cash so I can go else where. She told me "no because she had already swiped my card. This irritated me...so she proceeded to get on the phone with someone and I heard her say "I hate dealing with prepaid cards." When the other lady walked up Maria slammed the phone down and explained to her what was going on. So then they started trying to figure it out. So after about another 5-10 I said again "can I have my card and my cash because I have to get to work?" Maria didn't apologize or nothing but the other lady said here u go ma'am I'm sorry.
bone-in pork butt country style ribs
I recently purchased meat labeled Bone-In Pork Butt Country Style Ribs to serve to guests. I have found that the boneless country style ribs dry out more and have less flavor than the bone-in ribs, so I am careful to buy only bone-in ribs. As I washed the meat to prepare to cook it, I could not find any bones in the bone-in ribs. I checked each piece and found only a tiny triangle of bone, smaller than my pinkie finger, in two of the six or eight ribs. I cooked and served the meat anyway, since I had guests arriving, but it was, as expected, drier and less tasty without the bones. I feel duped. If I buy a package labeled "bone-in ribs, " I expect the bones to be in the ribs. I consider this false advertising, mislabeling, and duping the customer, and I don't know if I will ever trust the labels on Kroger meat again.
The only resolution I can see is that I either get my money back ($5.53 plus 7% tax) or be given another package of bone-in pork butt country style ribs that actually have the bones in them. I am accustomed to seeing y-shaped bones in my country style ribs. I will gladly supply a scanned copy of the label on the package, if you give me an address where to send it.
shopping
I went grocery shopping around 10:30-11 am today, a Thursday. Every single aisle had an employee stocking items blocking the aisles and products. When I got to the meat section, I wasn't even able to select what I needed because of two employees restocking and changing the meat with their giant carts in the way, quite rudely, not even asking if they could move while I got what I needed. Other shoppers trying to navigate past a soda vendor trying to restock right next to us led to complete chaos. Needless to say, I left with no meat which will lead me to pick it up at Walmart.
At that time of day, there should be NO reason for that amount of stocking going on. It was absolutely nuts. I do ALL my shopping there but that may change if this continues. There were also only 2 registers open having many people wait to check out which usually doesn't happen. Bagger was very unfriendly too, I saw him be polite to the older lady in front of me but didn't say one word to me or ask if I needed help out. Just rude. He's an older man also, not a kid.
I get all my prescriptions filled here and do all my shopping here.
I was told this would be closed if I clicked on this. PLEASE disregard my complaint and remove my comments.
self checkout
The employee that is suppose to be at the checkout area is never around. Sometimes you have to wait over five minutes for someone to come. The can extremely rude to the customers. I rather got Walmart than go to Kroger at least Walmart's employees stay in their spot and are there to help more than Kroger ones. If I was Kroger I would find some workers who actually want to work.
store not meeting community expectations/needs
Our local Kroger grocery store is filled with wonderful, pleasant, helpful, and hard-working employees.
That being said, the store is hard to enter and exit (due to only ONE door). The store is so jammed that it is hard to find things. Many items of use to serious cooks/chefs are not available. Many of my friends (myself included) are traveling out-of-town to stores with more and better selection. It is frustrating to shop at our local Kroger.
Lexington is such a unique college town; it deserves a better grocery store.
pharmacy
My wife went to fill her perception and was accused of being a pill head and that her chart was flagged. Now we found out she has the same name and birthday as another person, but there was really no excuse for the way she was treated. this occurred at the Jonesboro Arkansas Kroger on Tuesday the 23rd of May. This error cost us a lot of time and heart ach my wife was very upset at the accusation and I was upset at how she was treated and how much time it took us time to go back to the pharmacy to get the meds and over all this was a very disheartening experence
store extremely rude to anyone using coupons
I shop regularly at Kroger and most stores are very friendly. However, the one at 1920 E League City Pkwy in League City, Tx has the rudest customer service managers I have ever encountered. I do not ever print coupons online as I realize that many are fraudulent. The ones I use are straight from the Sunday paper. However, every single time I or someone else I know that uses coupons go there, we are met with a manager who takes over the register and we are treated as though we are criminals or shoplifters! It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Today, for the first time I took 1 printed coupon for .45 and gave it to the cashier. It scanned just fine and then a manager came over and told me they would not accept it as it was not real! I informed her I had just printed it straight from the website that morning and that I did not appreciated for insinuating that I was doing something wrong. I was then approached by another person who told me they were cancelling my order and that I was no longer welcome to shop in that store! Both women were extremely rude and one of them was yelling and pointing her finger in my face. When I left I saw another customer in the parking lot who said she could not believe their treatment of me. I feel quite sure that nothing will be done about this as more times than not they always side with the managers. But just want it to be known that I normally spend around 4k per week at Kroger for my business and now that business will go to someone else. These managers should be fired.
bakery
On May 10, 2017 I ordered a blaze birthday cake for my son's 2nd birthday party on May 20, 2017. I walked in 2:40pm to pick up his cake and they did not have my order. They couldn't find my ticket. His party was for 3pm and my receipt was in the car. I asked for a manager multiple times. I was ignored and then finally told the manager was ready to go and has left for the day. I said there has to be a store manager here. The ladies in the bakery basically ignored me and didn't show any empathy that they messed up. Finally a manager walked up, didn't introduce herself and had an attitude. They acted as if I made up ordering my cake. They said they wouldn't be able to make it for his party, didn't try to compensate for anything or offer another cake at all. They said they had to go through the tickets because they couldn't find the ticket themselves! Not only did I have to purchase some pre made paw patrol cupcakes, they tasted old and he blue icing dyed everyone's hands and mouths horribly! The bakery staff and the manager were rude and didn't care that they messed up my son's party. Emotionally that upset me as a paying customer and something needs to be done to rectify this situation. No parent wants to go through that!
manager
James Phillips manager at Kroger's in Sulphur, Louisiana is an ###. Have witnessed him talking down to multiple employees and threatening to write them up for no reason. Seems to me they were just doing their jobs but apparently not good enough for him. But from what I see as a customer, these ladies are busting their ### doin their jobs. Something should be done about this. As it does not look good for the company or the morale of the particular employees.
not being able to get gas!
I was very mad the other night when I got off my third shift job! The kroger gas pump is across the street from the store! It says pump only open 7am to 11pm! Now tell me why should the pumps be off when i had a debit card to use. I did not need anyone to wait on me and My car was on fumes. After i finally got close to the pump The PUMP says Store closed . Why shouldnt the Pumps be on to pump gas ! Upset in Louisville kentucky Susan Levy. Also they loose alot of money that way always busy on that street at that hour!~~~~~~~~
I fell at your store
My husband and I were walking through the meat department of your Walton KY Kroger yesterday. All of a sudden, I am on the floor. My knee is bruised, swollen, and burnt from sliding it on the concrete floor. My toenails (I was in flip flops) were bent back and broken from trying to catch myself. It hurt very much and I was instantly crying. Everyone was super apologetic and they cleaned up the mess before I even thought about getting my phone out and taking a picture. The boy from the meat dept went to Starbucks and got me a bag of ice for my knee and was telling the assistant manager that he didn't know the mess was there before I fell but he has cleaned it up now. The assistant manager, Claudia Kremer, was taking down my information and explaining that their insurance would pay for me to seek medical attention if I needed it. I told her that I didn't know if I would be going to the doctor but I would call if I felt the need. Then she basically insulted me by saying that if it was her, she thinks she would be more embarrassed than anything. EXCUSE ME! I just fell in a wet spot on the floor of the store that you help manage and you have the nerve to insult me. I shrugged it off as I limped away and paid my $97 grocery bill. But the more I thought about it last night, the more it made me mad. I could file a lawsuit because of the negligence of the staff not cleaning up a spill but I had no intentions of that. I am a working mother of 4 kids. I work 50-55 hours a week to take care of my family. Yes, it would be nice to get some thousands of dollars because I fell in a spill at your store but I am not that type of person. However, I do feel that I should be compensated in some way for the negligence and the insulting.
Thousands of dollars because someone expressed what they might be feeling in your shoes...or, flipflops...
Good luck with that, [censor].
kroger clicklist
I have tried giving click list multiple chances but multiple times have been given expired, moldy, or leaking products. I prurchased my items on Monday May 15 and picked them up around 2:15pm. I returned three items yesterday (two cauliflower and a bag of mandarin oranges)because they were moldy. I realized today that three bags of radishes were expired by a week. I called to speak with a click list person regarding my expired items and he responded "um I don't know what you want me to do about it" and was not helpful at all. I will not be using click list again. I go back to the store each time I use it to return poor quality items. I have talked to the manager a few times who was very apologetic but the problem still continues. Having to take my young kids back and forth to the store sometimes multiple times on one order is such an inconvenience and sometimes it even causes me to not be able to finish recipes I've started because the items are expired.
no registers barely open
I am super upset with my recent trip to Kroger's on May 15 2017 around 830pm... I literally went in for a few items took me 2 minutes to grab I have a picture to prove the lines (2) one regular register and only 4 u scans open line went almost to the end of the store. I waited in line for over 30 minutes... This was ridiculous and makes me not want to shop at Kroger's anymore
kroger brand peanut butter multigrain toasted cereal
I purchased a box of cereal last week and was about 1/2 way through it when today I was pouring into my bowl and a big glob of cereal and peanut butter flies out. I wasn't to thrilled about a wet good being in my cereal. It smells funky and looks like the peanut butter is bad, if that's even possible. This is the first time I've tried Kroger brand cereal and it was good until this point. I'm grossed out a bit.
pharmacy
I live in Cassopolis, MI, but it's 5 miles from the Elkhart, IN line so we do most of our shopping in Indiana. I'm disabled from failed spinal surgeries, that left me with 36 screws, 2 rods, 1 plate, and 2 pedicle bolts into my hips. Yeah, not a lot of fun, but often lots of pain. My doctor prescribes buprenorphine sublingual tablets every 90 days for 7 years now. This year my medicare part D stopped providing it. I have to use goodrx.com and shop for the best price or not afford to pay for it.
So, Kroger's has a 90 day supply for $231.67. I started with the nearest store pharmacy on Johnson St. I left a detailed voice mail message that I need 135 - 8 mg pills. I got a call from a lady who said they had none in stock, but will order and get in 3 days. I only have 2 days left. She looked up the other stores and said the Mishawaka, Merrifield Rd has what I need. I went there and was told there's 70 they have and will order the rest for 5 days from now. This is not a short drive. I agreed to get the 70, and pay the price of all; then I can get back 6 days or 7, but in my mind I was thinking of my son picking the 65 pills after work, because he works in the city.
Instead, your technician decided to give me a 5 day supply. "You can come get the rest on Saturday. " I was not happy with that but she said that is the way she does it. Even though the pharmacist Jeff and the intake tech had 70 pills out.
Looks like I chose the wrong place to go to today. I should have went to the closer store and made sure I'd have all the pills in 1 - 2 days, and a whole lot less miles away. Oh, but if she was misinformed of the other store, is she confused with the order times also?
I just don't like the run around and waste of time and money to buy these things. What would help you to do business better for such as this? What can Kroger's do to make this a simple process? I did the one trip based on the word of one of your own. What would help her to not make the same mistake? I know now that I should have just gone to the closest and no problem with the 12 miles each way, but I went a heck of a lot farther away, and now I have to do it again at least ONE MORE TIME.
cashier customer service
I came across a lane that was fairly short, so I got in line. I quickly realized it was 15 items or less, and since I had a total of 33 items sold, I proceeded to move to another lane. A Kroger employee, a man that I do not know the name of, was standing at the end of the lanes and told me that it was fine, and to stay in the 15 items or less lane.
When my turn to be checked out arrived, the cashier, with blatant disrespect, tossed the divider behind my line of groceries. I was silent, and began putting my bags into my cart. The cashier, Maddie, said nothing to me while checking me out, not even hello. While bagging the grocieres, Maddie was blatantly tossing things down in a disrespectful manner.
I say my debit card and Kroger card on top of my wallet by the debit machine while I was bagging my grocieres. When promoted to pay, I attempted to hand Maddie my Kroger card. She stated she already entered it; therefore touching my personal belongings without seeking permission prior.
After paying, Maddie handed me my receipt and said something in regards to my fuel points, and then stated, "this is our 15 items or less quick checkout."
While I understand the lane is designated for 15 items or less, the blatant disrespect to a customer for such a reason is absurd. Especially considering I was told to go ahead and stay in the lane by the other associate, when I wouldn't have after realizing it was for 15 items or less.
canned goods
On May 6 I purchased two cans (one of enchilada sauce and one or refried beans) from Kroger. The cans left dark rings on my wooden kitchen island that we cannot get off. I have never had this issue with canned goods purchased at Kroger before, but my kitchen island is now seems to be permanently marred from these cans. As you can see from the pictures the smaller can left some more faint marks, but the larger can left a very dark mark.
I would very much appreciate it if Kroger would either compensate me for part of the kitchen island's value or for the repair if that's possible. The kitchen island was worth $450, but now will be very difficult to resell when we move.
refusal of service animal
11/30/2016 - I Sharon Bailey, had entered Kroger on Stone Drive in Kingsport Tennessee with my service dog, Bella. Upon entering the store and stopping at Customer Care to speak to my husband Ronald Bailey, Lori Odell called to another lady and pointed to me. Ms Hannah Bays, a manager, came to me and asked if my dog was a service animal. I told her that she was a service animal. She then asked for a certificate for Bella. I did not have one on me and Ms Bays proceeded to advise me that I would have to remove the animal from the premises. I did as she asked. this is considered discrimination because, according to the service animal law, you can only ask 2 questions -- 1) is the animal a service animal, and 2) what is the condition. It is against the law to ask for any documentation. At this point I felt I was singled out by Lori Odell and then discriminated against by Hannah Bays. A few days later, Ron took Bella's ID to Ms Bays and showed her that Bella was truly a service dog. She did apologized to Ron for her actions.
This is not the first time that I have been singled out by Lori Odell. My husband, Ronald Bailey, is an employee at this Kroger store and we had just gotten back together after an 8 year separation. This occurred in April of 2015. In May of 2015, I had gone to Kroger to shop and was using my husbands discount card. Lori Odell proceeded to advise my daughter and myself that only Ron could use the Kroger card. It was only for the employee and no one else. Ron had told me that it was for the family to use. Here I felt singled out because she made the comment to me only. The person in front of me used a Kroger card and nothing was said to them.
About a year later after Ron's heart attack and open heart surgery I had gone into the store to get my husbands disability check cashed. Lori Odell was at the Customer Care counter and there was a cashier at the register directly across from Customer Care, The cashier had made a comment about a bag boy being late for his shift. Lori Odell, with me standing in front of her, made the comment that he was following in Ron's footsteps. She had said that Ron was always late coming to work. There were people at both the Customer Care and the register that heard the comments.
Ron has also told me of times where Lori Odell had singled him and caused issues for him. The latest was on 5/11/2017 when Ron had gone out to check the buggies in the parking lot. Lori Odell got on the intercom and called for Mr Burton. She had told him that Ron was out smoking when he was not on break. He advised Lori Odell and Mr Burton that he was out checking the buggies and did not smoke. He was out there only a couple of minutes when he heard the page.
Sine Ron Bailey, my husband, is an employee there, I do continue to do a little shopping there. I now do a lot of shopping at the local Wal-Mart because I am not singled out or harassed when I take Bella with me.
I am a disabled veteran. I don't deserve this treatment. I have already made a claim with Kroger Corporate Office in February 2017 and the only response I received was that there was a backlog and I would hear from them shortly. It has been 6 months and I still have heard nothing. This is the second notification. I am also contacting the Attorney General of Tennessee because of no correspondence in regards to the discrimination claim. I have been advised to contact an attorney but I haven't because I am giving Kroger a chance to respond. If there is no response within 2 weeks, I will consider talking to an attorney.
mrs white
I'm a customer that went into kroger on chenal and bought items and was told I have been there all day i'm handicap and have a learning disabilitie she is discriminating on me just because i'm different please do something about that I will if something doesn't so please I don't like being treated badly when going to the kroger on chenal because if it happens to me it will happen to anyone also the same manager verbally attacked a customer with their kid still in the street with no intention of getting the kid out of the street.
