my mother-in-law just purchased two new front tires to replace, two of four .two out of the four she bought from them earlier and less than 40, 000 miles on the car in the front ones wore out due to it looks like an alignment problem she's been regularly taking the car in to have air pressure checked and rotating the tires and nobody ever mentioned it anything about any problems.she had two tires put on they charged her $6 for each tire for valve stem replacement it has a monitoring system they didn't touch .they charged her $12 for no reason at all and then for the warranty the other ones were balanced and they charged her again for balancing $28 and total trying to make sure the warranty was good witch should have been under the warranty of the first tires she bought. they charge for a total of 185 19 when I think it's very high and unnecessary be that high for two tires if this is a result I believe we'll go someplace else next time and they marked the mils wrong by adding 500more mils on the invoice.

I was denied a service during business hours
I came into Les Schwab on June 8th 2019 at 3:45pm for a rotate on my tires. When i got to the front counter at Hilltop Les Schwab, Redding CA, i was denied service by Brandon Stewart who told me that they were no longer taking service due to already being busy until 6:30pm that night when they closed at 5:00pm. I immediately went over to the South Market Les Schwab who got me in and out in less than 10 minutes for a tire rotate. My boyfriend works at the Hilltop Les Schwab and told me after i left they still took new service, and that they could not deny any service during business hours. A personal issue out of work had happened with two of the employees, and myself, and i feel from what the crew was told about the situation was why i was denied service. I feel it was a VERY unprofessional way to handle someones personal business, which didnt relate to Brandon or his work at all. I should be able to be serviced at this Les Schwab whenever i please just like everyone else, and not be treated differently for a matter not concerning work or ANYONE at work.
4 tires
Bought 4 truck tires and brought back because of vibrations at 50 to 60 mph. They said the wheels were put of balance which is strange since they installed them and they're supposed to be professionals. Brought back because the classic wheel balance vibrations persisted and they have same response. Third time a technician drove with me while my 30k wa...

My name is Theresa Howard and I live in Sweet Home, Or.
I am a volunteer at the Sweet Home Gleaners, a non profit food bank/ distribution organization. We have an older box van that has seen better times but it's all we have to pick up donations so we make do.
Right now one of our steering tires has a nail in it. Our driver stopped in at the Sweet Home location and spoke to the manager
to inquire about getting it fixed. The manager immediately said he "was NOT giving us a tire". That was fine, our driver asked him if they could fix it and rotate it to the back and bring a back tire up in it's place. And could they give us a break on the labor? His answer was "absolutely NOT"He totally refused to help us out at all. We have close to 400 members that we help out with food, clothing if needed and a large portion of our membership relies on us for the bulk of their monthly food. Some days the need outweighs the supply but we don't give up.
I have used the Sweet Home store for EVERYTHING I need for my car for over 20 years.Unfortunately I won't be using Les Schwab in Sweet Home any longer and trust me when I say I will spread the word to our members and let them know exactly what happened today and I'll encourage them all to stay out of the Sweet Home location. The ultimate decision will be up to them.
Needless to say I am VERY disappointed in the Sweet Home Les Schwab Tire Center
tire rotation
Went into the Les Schwab Center on 04/22/19 to get tires rotated I checked in with the lady at the counter and I was kept waiting for 50 minutes with my vehicle parked in the front parking lot the whole time. I asked for my keys and left and upon leaving i notice two vehicles in the service bay and three service attendance in the service bay. I saw no...

Today I was at led Schwab tires in bend Oregon and I witnessed a manager named Jason verbally assault a woman who simply asked an employee to move so her far could be pulled in this was horrific and made me change my mind entirely on using this location. I ended up leaving and refuse to go back with this man still present his name is Jason I did get that much I am completely disgusted with how demeaning and abusive he was.

In 2011 I bought 4 new tires from the local Les Schab Store. Since that time I've only driven about 3000 miles and just around town. I never expected my tires would get bad since I'm not using them a lot. In 2018, one tire went completely flat and when I took it in, they said I had tire rot. They did replace that tire but said they won't replace anymore...

I recently purchased my own tires on line, the same ones les schwab put on my rear previously. I also had new rear rims to be installed as well and needed the front end aligned. After talking to the rep behind the desk at 320 SE 10th Hillsboro OR (Salesperson:Nolan DM) he had made a couple statements suggestion that what if we did this wrong or what if...

On January 29, 2019, I had a battery replaced on my sister's car at the Forest grove Les Schwab. The car sat for two days after the replacement and then upon driving, it would not start. Thinking we just had the battery replaced that this was more than an issue with it. I took it to my local mechanic and it took several days to diagnose the issue. finally, my mechanic diagnosed the issue to battery "dirt" that was not allowing the car to start. I was charged $118.00 for the diagnostic.
On February 9th, 2019, I went in to Les Schwab to discuss this issue with the manager. First of all Roman, said he was outraged at the price of what I was charged for the diagnostic. I then went to talk to my mechanic and he explained that he had to charge this due to shop time and the fact that he does need to pay his employees for the time looking at my car. I totally get that.
I went back to Les Schwab and tried to talk to Roman. I was not able to discuss anything with him because he blantantly asked is he could talk. I listened. He continued to complain about the charges by my mechanic. I never was able to discuss how this charge would have never occured if one of his emplyees had done the correct cleaning of the battery cables. Roman did give me 60.00 back, but I am still concerned as to how I was treated.

damage caused during replacing brakes and master cylinder
We took our daughter's car into replaced breaks and master cylinder on December 19, 2018. When I picked it up Josh told me the coolant was leaking. There were no issues of leaking when we brought the car in. My daughter had an appointment in Mill Creek town center which is approx. 2 miles. The car overheated in that 2-mile drive. Because of the lack of...

Had 6 M/T tires put on my f350 dualy on January 3 in the Wenatchee WA store- on January 21 had a flat- took to the Stanwood WA store near my house and they said was a bad valve stem and fixed the one tire. On Januaary 22 I left for a cross country road trip to Idaho. January 23 another flat in Weiser ID - different tire then the previous, they again said was bad valve stem and fixed that one and check the rest. Later on January 23, another flat on again a diff tire, was told the Boose ID store had the correct stems and would fix them all- they did. January 25 in Idaho Falls, wake up to ANTHER flat. This time manager said was a cracked wheel at the valve stem! They used my spare wheel and put tire on it. Now driving back to WA on a spare- w no spare to use in case, and seems like no one wants to take responsibility and help out a wounded warrior/retired veteran, on fixed income, who spent over $2k to make sure the trip would go seemless! If this is not taken care of, I will contact BBB and family member that works for local news- as they seem to love stories like this. How much is your vacation worth?
refused to change tires for me
I have been a customer of this store for several years and always had bought my tires there. Today I went in to see if they would switch tires that I had with two that were flat. I explained that all I wanted to do was to be able to move my truck out of the garage and that it would not be driven on the highway, (It's on a non-op) and if anything it would only be driven on our property. They refused to do it stating that it was against your policy because they were to old and to worn. I told them that the tires were ones that were bought there (both the one that were blown and the ones that I wanted put on) and the guy said that they didn't sell them and I replied that maybe they didn't now but when I bought them they did. I am really upset about this as I have always been a good customer and would always tell my friends to go there. I would have signed anything saying that I am doing it at my own risk but that wasn't offered. All I know is you lost a good customer and I will be telling all my friends what happened and I am sure they will no longer go there. I can probably find the receipt for both sets of tires if need be but I didn't think it would be necessary as I wasn't trying to say the the tires were defected or anything.
Sincerely,
Larry Occhipinti
I sent this letter 3 times on there form and every time I did I got an error 404 page and I tried on two different browsers.
theft
I took my truck to Cilfax Washington store for tire installation. Despite the price being crazy high (27 a tire) I am guessing because I didn't buy them there. Picked it up and had a 153.00 bill. I was told it was because my tpms system had to be "rebuilt" sorry I am a professional with a degree from UTI that is not true. I was charged 43.00 for a unneeded service and was gouged. The reality is an untrained tech failed to index the wheels and a techs lack of skill isn't something I should pay for. Mark the wherlmoositions what's so hard about that. It's common practice at every other shop across the country. I guess he expects me to be too stupid to know basic operational training. I am a professional and must state quality and training isnt a customer's responsibility...period. Truly insulting and dishonorable all the aspects I typically shop at Les Schwab for. You lost my business account today which is most of what I have done with this company. It's a matter of integrity and I for one am disgusted with this lack of candor or truth. If I am more trained the employee working on my vehicle or writing the bill I have to question the skillset runningbthisnlication. 43.00 isn't worth losing a customer however I guess it is in Colfax. Shame on you!
improper diagnosis
I took my vehicle to Les Schwab, located on Pacific Hwy in Des Moines, WA, on 11/17/18 to diagnose an issue I was having, prior to leaving for a road trip for Thanksgiving. I informed the guy at the counter that my vehicle was making a wobbly sound from the rear. I asked if I possibly needed new tires or a rotation. After waiting for approximately 3 hours, which was expected since I was a walk-in, I was informed the tires were fine and that only one was out of balance. Since they didn't inform me of any other issues, I assumed my car was fine to make the 1400 mile drive to California. We set out on our journey on 11/20/18. During the trip, the situation got worse, where the noise was extremely loud and the car started to shake. Upon our arrival to California, I took my vehicle to Midas on San Pablo in El Cerrito, CA. They informed me of the real problem, which would've resulted in my tire coming completely off, if the situation wasn't corrected. I was mortified that my family could've been hurt due to the oversight by Les Schwab. I've always considered this to be a reputable business and had planned to purchase tires when the time came. Because of this experience, I will never trust a Les Schwab dealer to work on my vehicle again. I should've known something was up, when the guy that checked my vehicle, couldn't look me in the eye when my keys were returned. I just wanted someone to know the level of service and care that's being provided at this location. Luckily things went well in my situation, but it could've been worse and resulted in a costly lawsuit for your business.
hanford california
My name is Pierre Aspeitia. I live in Hanford ca I always heard about how you do the right thing, well I don't believe that any more. I went to your Hanford store to see about a nail in my tire the, the installer first said he could not fix it because the tire was showing wear and tire was down to the wear bars. Then he said would I like to feel out a credit app for tires I ask about house tires, he said I don't have anything but he began to quote me 1300.00 dollars for another set of tires. I told him I could not afford it so he tore up the paper and made it into a ball and threw it away. He rolled his eyes and said I'll get your truck so I stood by the door he went past me like I was not even there. I took it to another reputable tire shop that has been around for a lot longer than than your company here. He looked at the tire, pulled the the nail out that ended up being a screw that went in side ways. He said it did not affect the tire at all and that I had plenty of tire tread left.
tire rotation
On October 29, 2018 I go in for an unsuccessful tire rotation. This is a second trip for this tire rotation. I was told on the first trip that one hour was needed. On the 29th I arrive and get my vehicle in the rotation or the days work. Then after one hour I see that my car has not moved, but many others who came in after me had come and gone. I waited another 40 minutes then asked for my keys back and left. It was obvious to me that it might be another 2 hours before the rotation was done. I get that tire rotations are free and Les Schwab wants to do the paying work first. I would like to know from the Office Staff or whoever how much longer it might be. Les Schwab would prefer to have you leave your car most of the day, I am sure, and then call you when it is ready. That is not always practical. I have been a faithful Les customer Schwab since 1976. I am afraid now that they are fast losing my "trust" and they customer service is going downhill. Mike Larimer
tire separation
On 12 October 2018 a tire on my camp trailer had a tread separation, causing major damage to the trailer floor and wiring. Changed tire and completed the weekend plans.
On 17 oct I took the tire to the Gardnerville store, where I had bought the set of 4 tires. They would not honor the warranty. I went to the South Carson store, where they measured the trend depth on what was left on the tire. The tire was replaced under warranty. Thank you Carson City. Great customer service.
The store manager in Gardnerville sat at her desk and did nothing. Even with the original receipt with the tire warranty in WRITING, they wanted full price for a replacement, and did not even measure the tread depth.
Will not recommend the Gardnerville store ever again. Perhaps the main office in Oregon will take some action.
alignment
I drive a 1988 Ford pickup thats converted to 2006 f350 axles and suspension. I took time to set it up to be very close to stock geometries. I asked if they, Bremerton, WA store, if I could get an alignment with my new tires. Simply curious when on alignment machine, if they knew what to set everything to. Only response from manager was that only toe would be adjusted, since its modified. Told me caster and camber are not adjustable, which is false. After I payed, I seen my zerks were not touched, so I kindly asked if they could grease the front end. Said it take a long time and I could go to a local lube shop, which I did, took 5-8 minutes and very little grease. Pay for an alignment but dont adjust anything other then make sure steering wheel is perfectly straight with tires. Everything was in spec when I left, but by the response I got, they wouldn't adjust it if I was to have caster/camber discrepancies. Rest of this experience was great.
management
I am a wife and mother to Les Schwab employees. My husband is a long time employee and our son was happy when he was hired as an employee. He worked for them all through his Senior year and transferred to a new store when we had to move for medical reasons. He worked full time hours and OT but was never moved to full time because he was told different thins that he did not do when talking on a phone for instance "we are across the street from the dollar store". He did not ask for an e-mail. So because he couldn't pass the phone test for customer service he is not full time with benefits.
Today they cut his hours to 28 hours a week and told him he couldn't find a part time job on top of his now Les than part time hours. After being with the company for a year and a half. I told him to call HR but he will get fired if he does. Pretty sad when you think a company is for their employees and the management doesn't even care about them.
