megabus tickets cancelled due to hurricane irma.
I paid $151.00 for two passengers to leave from Knoxville, TN going to Miami, FL. Our trip was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. I was told by customer service that I would receive a refund within 7-10 business days. I ended up receiving only a partial refund of $103 instead of the $151 I paid. I called back and was told the other $50 something was released to my card. I never received it and it's been over 2 weeks. I've been playing phone tag between Megabus's customer service line and my debit card's phone number at Direct Express, whom have no record of any 2nd refund. Dear Megabus,
I want to complain regarding my last trip from Philadelphia to New York on 09/25/2017 at 3:05.
The Megabus did not come and you set the Dilion bus where the air conditioning did not work making it very hard to breathe. On that day the temperature outside was at least 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature inside was definitely much higher. The bus driver tried to fix it but unfortunately it didn't help either.
I am sure you received more complaints regarding this trip and the conditions and situation in the bus make me ask for a refund for the whole amount for me and my partner. It caused much stress and inhuman and unbearable treatment for all your customers in the bus.

I took Mega bus yesterday from Washington DC to Durham, NC the 6:00am-11:35 am bus. I have been using this service for 2 years now and NEVER will use it again! Fisrt of all we didnt leave union station until about 6:40am because the driver couldnt get the doors to close. When we finally did get on the road the driver i guess was trying to make up for lost time and was driving recklessly. Slamming on brakes until at one point a couple of us were in the floor from the driver slamming on the brakes really hard. I have a bruise on my right leg. Me and a couple more passengers had to first get up out the floor then scramble around the floor under the seats to find our belongs that had also been slung around. The driver never stopped and never asked if we were alright! Very unprofessional! We then stop in Richmond and a passenger gets up once we stop and goes to the rest room. The driver goes to the back to the restroom and says is someone in here we answered yes! He then uses it and comes out and says to us all that for hear on out when he stops no one uses the bathroom until he does first. His attitude was terrible! WOW! This bus was supposed to reach Durham at 11:35 it didn't get there until after 1 this is terrible! My experience with Mega bus yesterday was my last! My daughter who also use the bus to travel to and from will no longer use it either! Your service sucked yesterday and your driver was reckless and unprofessional, Im not the only passenger that said they will never use this service again!

My bus was from Philadelphia to New York at 3:40am on September 24th.
- The bus didn't arrive till 4:10. The driver didn't apologize or make any explanation.
- He just kept looking at my mobile ticket for half a minute and didn't confirm until I asked if there was anything wrong
- It was so cold in the bus and the AC was blowing right on top of me. I went downstairs to complain and the driver was so rude. He said "what?", And then, you can't be here. I said it is so cold, everyone is freezing, he said I will see what I can do and he changed nothing. Basically, it kept blowing the whole time.
Please take action regarding the driver and your operations and how you treat your customers.

my car was hit by two workers leaving the site after helping load the luggage onto the departing bus
The incident occurred on Sunday 9/24/17 as I was waiting for my son's bus (#M72) to leave. I had parked behind a silver Ford Flex (cars were back facing back) along the fence line, which ended up belonging to one of the workers who helped load the luggage. As he was leaving, he drove straight back into my back bumper. I was not able to see any damage initially because of some dirt on my white car, but once I got home and rinsed off the bumper I could see where it was bent and a black stain also became visible. I did not obtain the driver's name but I did obtain his license plate number. He was driving a silver Ford Flex license plate #JWC5454.

I booked a ticked for an 8am bus and it is now PAST 8:40 and I'm still waiting in a long line because the bus driver was late. I spent money on this specific bus departure time to reach my destination at a very specific time, and now I suffer the consequence of missing a very important event. If I knew that I would not depart until OVER 40 MINUTES later, I would have booked another trip and planned accordingly. This has caused me a major inconvenience and I would like a refund for this ridiculous lack of customer service.

We were waiting for 1 hour the bus to London that coming with delay in Cardiff, with no explanations from the members of the staff from another buses and the actitud of the drivers from prior buses was really rude screaming to the costumers to go back over the ground. We arrived 2 hours late to London and we missed the transport to go home.

I recently received an email about compensation due to a delay I had today... Actually the delay was not the worst part of my trip. After we got on the new bus, after the 3 hour delay, our new bus driver was falling asleep at the wheel. I do have pictures and a video to prove this. This completely put my life and the other 27 lives on the bus at RISK. This is absolutely insane that anyone should be hired like this. The first bus driver was the rudest meanest scariest lady I have ever experience. She yelled and cussed at some of the passengers. This was my first mega bus trip experience and it was a complete disaster. Such a shame too because the buses are actually really nice and comfortable... the only problem was the lack of quality when it comes to hiring drivers. I had two drivers today and one was a screaming rude lady and the other was asleep at the wheel. This is absolutely ridiculous.

- Incident: I showed my ticket to a gentleman, who told me the bus is the right one. I thought that is the checking in so I headed to the door. A lady stopped me and yelled at me, asking why I didn't check in with her. I was confused at first but I still gave her my ticket. When she gave back to me, I tried to get the paper and find a seat on the bus soon, so I might take the paper faster than she expected. She yelled at me asking why I "snatched the paper and had a bad attitude". I told her I don't have an attitude, she said she refused to let me in because she had the right. I tried to communicate with her but she ignored me. I tried to ask her name but she doesn't look at me at all. So I used my phone to take a picture of her. Then I called customer service of Megabus try to confirm her name. The lady started laughing and said very rude comments at me, and then drove the bus away without giving me her name or any explanation. I didn't try to get on the bus to engage in further arguments because I don't want to delay other people's schedule and the lady doesn't seem capable of engaging in reasonable conversations.

- Desirable resolution: I ask Megabus to provide me the full name of the driver to me and use disciplinary procedures against the driver and a full refund of my bus fare plus loss of my time.

My name is Nicole Beck and I took the megabits from New York, New York to Boston, MA on September, 10th at 8:40 PM. I was extremely dissatisfied with my trip. First of all, the bus was scheduled to leave at 8:40 and we did not even start boarding until after 8:40. Then, the ticket stated that we would arrive at 12:55 AM in Boston. There was nothing listed about a scheduled 30 minute stop. At around midnight, our driver turned on the lights and informed us that we would be having a 30 minute stop and at this point we were still an hour and a half from Boston. Then, this rest stop was closed, so he got everyone back on the bus and said we would stop again somewhere else. As the ride proceeded, we hit an "unexpected detour, " meaning that he got lost or took a wrong exit. He then said to "stay on schedule" we would not take another break and at this point we were already well behind schedule. When we finally arrived in Boston just past 2 AM, our driver apologized for the "slight delay" because he said we were supposed to get in at 1:40. Therefore, he was not even aware that the ticket stated that the bus was scheduled to get in at 12:55 and it was more than a slight delay. I would understand if this delay was due to factors that were out of the drivers control. For example, on my way to New York on Friday, September 8th the bus arrived an hour and 15 minutes late, but this was due to traffic and I understand the driver cannot control traffic. However, my trip last night was completely in the drivers control and there was no traffic to cause this significant delay. I am extremely upset with my experience. REFUND! this is so ridiculous we been waiting out there from 4 in the morning till 6:15 and it was super cold outside. The customer service isn't available until 6 something. The ticket guy later showed up and called to a lady name Tiffany. Basically, what thy are saying was the bus driver went straight from D.C. To NYC. The bus driver didn't stop at white marsh at all! No one was there to tell us or any email notification. We waited till 6 for the ticket guy. Last time I waited an hour and this time 2 hours. This is ridiculous. I called and your service told me I can only get 25% discount for NEXT time... seriously! I WANT FULL REFUND! I do not want to wait another 3 hours!

I would like an refund I caught the megabus Tuesday morning from Atlanta georgia and an hour into my trip the bus was experiencing mechanical issue as well broke down in south Carolina then had to wait about 2 or 3 hours for an charter bus to come nd pick up. I didnt arrive to richmond va about 2am early wednesday morning. My experience was not good and an very uncomfortable ride.

I ride on the bus from Baltimore to New York ! It was 30 minutes late than the schedule time and suddenly stopped on route 95 as announced by the driver having trouble to drive. The bus stopped for an hour and we still didn't get the confirmation for the second bus or anything like that... the wifi is not working...driver turned off the AC for 30 minutes and it was already hot inside the bus ! My name is Pastor Angela Davis and I took a trip on Mega bus on August 16, 2017 from Chicago, IL to Cincinnati, OH at 6: 45am and I arrived in Chicago at 11: 30am. The bus driver who was a female was rude and unprofessional, she only stopped at a rest stop that had no store we were only there 10 minutes and then she threatened to leave people if they were not back on the bus in ten minutes. The seating was very uncomfortable, no leg room and there were no outlets to charge up your cell phone. I stop riding Greyhound because of the lack of leg room, but know I am considering the same when it comes to megabus. Last but not least you only have three times to get a bus from Chicago to Cincinnati and the latest one is 3: 40pm in the evening which is ridiculous considering normal business hours are until 5: 00pm in the evening.
