I have been getting billed for charges from this merchant since September 2008, first on my credit cards then my personal bank account. I never authorized these charges nor did I order anything from this company. I am actively attampting to stop all future charges from this merchant through my credit card companies and my bank. These are unauthorized charges and they continue to show up on my statements every month. In fact twice in one month on one charge card. I have now been charged over the limit from my credit card company and over draft fee from my bank because of these charges. This company needs to be stopped.

I purchased the Microsoft webcam VX-5000 from the closest Office Depot. I attempted to install this "plug and Play" Webcam onto my computer, I followed the instructions and was diverted to a website filled with more instructions, after 12 days i said enough is enough, so i took the unit back to Office depot before 14 days, right when i brought the unit up to the counter i was quickly told that i "could not return the unit because i opened the box." So really like software if you open it it is yours NO MATTER WHAT, I was not asking for cash, i returned the unit BEFORE 14 days. I WILL NEVER BUY A SINGLE THING FROM OFFICE DEPOT AGAIN, I called the corporate head quarters and mentioned that i did not want them to send me a single advertisement or mailers, yet i still receive mailers. I will shop at Office Max or Staples even though they are 10 MILES FURTHER away, I shopped at this store for so long had laminations done, bought hundreds of dollars worth of product from them and they made their decision to shaft me for $50.00, they are a poor business and they will never get my business.

My 6yr old son bought 4 games from Xbox live for a total of 115.00, never knew he was that smart. Bad thing HD does not have enough room to even hold the games. Calling Microsoft is pointless and a waste of time, I have tried everything under the sun to get it refunded and no luck. Take it as a loss and a lesson learned.

If you have kids and own a Xbox that is on live, make sure you check with them because my 6yr old son had no clue but was still able to make the purchase. I will have parental controls setup from now on which should have been done from the beginning. My bank statement reads the same as what everyone on this page is stating.

I got a charge similar to this recently as well. For me it was 100% legit, however. I don't have an XBOX or an XBOX live account at all. I do have a Windows Mobile Phone, however. And I purchased a game for $2.99 on my phone and the charge in my bank looks like this:

MICROSOFT *BILLING BILL.MS.NET WA

Very similar to many others that I've seen in postings regarding this. Don't forget about your Windows Mobile cell phones people! If you buy something in the Windows Marketplace on your phone, apparently it shows up similarly to the XBOX charges in your bank account. Hope this helps someone!

I too am having the same problem, charges I did not authorize, similar to all of the above. Is there a number or something to contact on line for Microsoft Xbox to stop these payments, I authorized one and have been getting the automatically taken from my credit card for the last 3 months with out authorization. This is not a good thing, last time I will ever look at anything on line x-box. Someone needs to do something about this.

People complaining here need to realize that these aren't just random charges; somebody is making purchases. Most of the amounts mentioned are the prices for games and Microsoft Points. When you purchase an Xbox Live account, the card is stored in the system, making it easy for anyone to make purchases with the console. The Live account is also set to automatically renew, which you have to disable via the options. These all look like legitimate charges; you just may not be the one making the purchases. And for those who don't know...when making a purchase, Microsoft clearly states that they don't give refunds on digital content.

If you have never owned an Xbox, then you either know someone who does (and is using your card without permission) or you are a victime of identity theft. Either way, it needs to be taken up with your bank, not Microsoft.

Had the same problem with Microsoft...Cancelled one payment, only to have them post two more payments...Cancelled Debit Card with my bank...Have a unrelated problem with Ccbill.com*offe888-5969279 Az...concerning Computer Games play on the Internet ...My 11 year old grandson was able to charge 7 games @ $19.99 on my debit card (without my knowledge nor consent). I check my account daily...I contacted the the firm from which I was billed for the purpose of cancelling the orders. I was informed that I cannot cancel an order that was billed and posted. The only way I can have the orders rescinded, was to bring fraud charges against my 11 year old grandson...Cancelled Debit Card.

im sorry if this complaint is in the wrong category, but i couldnt find anywhere else to put it.

i was trying to download something on xbox from a game. i have a gold xbox live account, so i should be able to do this. everytime i would attempt to download the content for this game, a message would come up saying, "you have a new message from xbox live. you need to read this message before signing in with this account."it would give me an option to read the message by pressing A. i pressed a and it would bring up the account settings page in the 360 xbox live menu. there was no message to read. Well, this didnt seem like a big idea so i looked on the xbox support website and the xbox forums and couldnt find anything about it. after a few hours of trying to download it (and having the same results) i decided to call customer support and talk to someone about my problem 1 on 1. i talked to some guy, i didnt get his name, for about 20 minutes, explaining my problem. he was very patient, but he had no idea had no idea what to do about it and kept putting me on hold. eventually he switched me to a girl named Amanda, and she too, put me on hold. then, either my call was dropped or they hung up on me. i tried to call back, but the robot that talks to you before you talk to an agent told me they close at 10:00. i started my call at 11:45ish...

i find it infurieating when i read compliants like this.
someone buys a 200-300 dollar xbox and i breaks.
it costs ANOTHER 100 dollars to get it fixed?
theres obvisly a huge flaw in the xbox 360, as there are hundreds of reviews and complaints just like yours all over the web.

On 11/2/2010 I ordered Microsoft Office 2007 from, what I thought was a genuine Microsoft site. I thought I would be e-mailed an activation code for the product reasonably quickly as I have a trial version installed on my newest computer. I now check on the internet and find this site. NOT ANOTHER SCAM PLEASE...

Had a charge on my debit card for $62.50. Don't have an xbox, don't want one. I am PISSED! I assume that my number was stolen. To all of you who say we should stop blaming microsoft, you are wrong. When I called the telephone number that appeared next to the transaction, I was told that all one needed to make a charge was the credit card number and expiration date! No security code, billing zip code, or any other method to verify that the person making the charge actualy had right to. The information they require could be taken from a merchant copy of any purchase you make. They, particularly as a company specializing in technology, should have more strict security in place to prevent this from happening. And when I called and asked what the charge was for and told them it was not valid, they refused to help or give me any information about the purchase. I have reported this to my bank and have submitted a police report, but somehow, I don't think that Microsoft will be willing to help the bank or the police department as they were so unwilling to help me.

I take offense to any company denying my right to use my own equipment. I had to purchase this bloody adware thingy before I could use my computer without the damn add coming up on the bottom bar of my PC.

I am not a rich person, I live alone and have only a minimal wage coming in and I just can't afford to be paying for stuff I do not need.

The charge on my credit card said it was from WORLD-WIDESOFT.COM in Moscow.

I would appreciate your action and feedback on this matter.

It seems that the hackers took over the COD MW2 Servers from Microsoft, everytime I play there is people with colored names ( sometimes offensive ) and when you file a complaint, the user names are totally different. It would be nice if Microsoft can do something about it, as, us the players, had to pay for playing online and then figured out that there are hackers on this games. It would be nice if all of us cancel the xbox live subscriptions and no one plays online...

I'm pissed! Yesterday my DVD/CD unit broke so I removed it from my computer and tried to fix it. I couldn't so I just left it out. I turned my computer on this morning and WindowsXP said there has been changes to my system so I had to reload my MS Office XP Small Business. Guess what...my DVD/CD is broken so I can't load it and it shouldn't have to be reloaded anyway. Thats why I had to use the "product Key" I just hate having to enter the MS CD every time anything changes. Its not necessary and it just causes too much trouble. I am actively looking for your replacement to Outlook which is not very good anyway. My advice to others is to use other software if possible. Open Systems stuff is an alternative at very little cost.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of them to dispute charges? My son says he didn't purchase over $500 worth of points since February. I might not believe him, except for the fact that many of the charges occurred when he was out of state @ his dad's and they do not have an x box - they have a wi. my bank account statement doesn't even have a valid website listed in the charges. My bank said I have to dispute the charges directly with MS before they will let me dispute them.. which is ridiculous, as any way you look at it, they were unauthorized charges... end of story. I gave no one permission to purchase points or any other item with my debit card. I have an electric bill due and the money for it was just eaten up in NSF charges! I am feeling so screwed & helpless.

Thanks for the postings.

I have just found a $2 debit on my visa card requested 7 days ago.

I don't have an xbox and I did not have any recollection of memory of ordering anything relating to xbox ever in my life.

I called the bank, and the bank could not do anything to stop these fraudelant entries, but suggested me cancelling my card and get another one reissued.

Called up my partner, and he suggested to have a look at this stuff before cancelling my card.

Thanks guys for posting this up, so that I am now very alarmed of the situation. Hope these crooks can be caught soon. The police should investigate.

I have contacted x-box 360 customer service now 5 times since the end of Oct 09. I have been trying to get a 3 pronged power cord sent to us. Every time I called back a service rep told me there was a problem processing the order and it will be 2-3 wks for delivery. The last 3 times I've called I have been transferred to a resolution specialist who cannot provide a resolution. They tell you the option is to place another order and wait another 2-3 wks. A specialty team was supposed to be looking into the processing problem and call within 3-5 days, never received the call. Last call I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told he was busy but would call me by 10 pm, guess what..no call received. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will not be purchasing microsoft products from now on, they are not worth the price you pay and the inconvenience.

I tried to use the MSN Bing cash back program and have still never received a penny. Somehow they say they put the money in my normal email account - not possible.

Trying to get customer service out of Microsoft is impossible. Their own switchboard says they do not know the telephone number to any department or to customer service. No department seems to take responsibility for anything. They read the problem ticket and transfer to another department.

What a terrible company!

So I made the mistake of trying an Office 2007 trial version. I figured if I didn't like it--or more likely, didn't see enough of a benefit to fork over the dough--I could always go back to my 2003 version.

WRONG.

The 2007 version installed "over" the 2003, incorporating the earlier version into itself. Now that the trial period has ended, the computer's office products are largely frozen: I can access documents, for example, but I can't edit them or even cut and paste the data. I'm told that the only way to go back to the way things were is to uninstall 2007 and reinstall 2003. Simple enough, except that at some point in the intervening years I lost the 2003 disks and theProduct Code Number.

It seems to me that the world's most sophisticated software company should be able to tell that I have a legitimately installed 2003 system below my now-frozen 2007 system. It seems to me that a company with a concern for its customers would set up the trial version of 2007 to automatically revert to the 2003 version if the customer chose not to upgrade.

But the real kicker is that I can't even contact Microsoft about this without losing money. They charge $49 to discuss, via email or phone, any problems you might have with the Office Suite, if you don't happen to have your product code handy.

It's as if I walked into a car dealership, was enticed into trying out a new car for a few days, then when I returned it got told that not only could I not get my old car back but that I couldn't even complain to the dealership about it without being charged for the privilege!
