Cancellation of tracking unit
Hi, I recently tried to phone Netstar to cancel my tracking unit as the vehicle it is in is no longer running and just sitting in my yard. After speaking to receptionist that transferred me to the consultant department I was put on hold and have been on hold for almost 2 hours now. This is completely unacceptable customer service and I am highly disgusted and Very upset. I will now just go to the bank and block the payments as apparently they dont really care about my payment at all anyway
Complaint regarding my account
Netstår advised there was short payment. We paid the amount, then Stanley frm Creditworx advised another amount outstanding. I asked for an agent to call and explain. Till date no call from Netstår. Pathetic service.. Will never recommend Netstår to anyone. Still await a call from Netstår.. Lorenzo was supposed to call on 12.12.20, but that never happened. Pathetic
Reinstating account
Been with netstar for many years. After we had to close my business for lockdown they continued to do deductions via debit order after I asked them not to as the bank charges ne r150 every time the debit order returned. Since aug I been trying to pay the outstanding and settle account but the debt collecting agent now say that I have to pay the full 36 month contract totaling over r7000. But only had the new device fitted into my new vehicle in jan 2020. They refuse to take the arrear amount and to reinstate the account back to paying the normal r299 per month. How is this ok?
Cancellation and subsequent attempt at debt collection after payment completed!
The worst customer service ever! I requested to cancel my account on 26 june 2020 with an agent of the netstar cancellations department and he sent me a cancellation figure that I then paid via eft. A week or so later I was debited a cancellation amount even though I had already paid. I contacted the agent I had dealt with previously and he instructed me to reverse the debit order since I had already paid. I did so. A month or so past, I moved out of the country, and then I received a debt collection (hybrid collections) email saying I still owed r117! I responded by attaching the email correspondence with the cancellation agent as well as the proof of payment. Well, five emails later they are still hounding me! Each time I attach proof but they ignore it! The most recent one I have now emailed the netstar cancellation agent himself and cc'd the debt collection people. It is absolutely ridiculous - I have never had such poor service in my life! The worst part of all this is that netstar does not seem to have a customer complaint line (probably because they know they'll be inundated with complaints), so I can't report this further up the netstar line. I have seen countless similar complaints from other (now ex) netstar customers on various platforms. Netstar get your act together!
I have my proof of payment and all email correspondence referred to in the above complaint, and will happily send it if requested.
I am also disappointed with the horrible customer care service. I have been a member of Netstar for some years and have renewed my contract late last year. But because of the bad customer service I really want go terminate my contract. Can somebody lease advise me how to go about. The sad part is that there is no complaints system in place. You cannot even speak to a Manager on a direct telephone line except for the consultant sending an email for her/ him to call the client.Please help I am done.

My unit has been giving incorrect information for some time now. I have had it reset by head office, but still not right.
I have sent requests via my phone app to have a Technician come and check it, but have not had any response. Overall I am happy with the unit, but not with the service I am receiving from your agents.

I have submitted several complaints to Netstar as we are not always able to locate our vehicles.
With every complaint, they have an excuse or they don't even bother to reply. Out of 6 months, there was not 1 month without a complaint.
I want to cancel this [censored]ty service, but is not prepare to pay cancellation fees as they do not provide the service as promised!
Cancellation and settlement value
After a traumatic accident where my vehicle was written off, the last thing you need to deal with is Netstar. What an awful experience, systems and staff that did not action the cancellation and are unable to give me the settlement in writing.

13 Oct 2020 - phoned again to get something in writing. Immediately received a letter confirming cancellation - NO SETTLEMENT AMOUNT.
I have just phoned again, the agent cut off the call intentionally - STILL NO SETTLEMENT FIGURE IN WRITING.

Hi I have recently paid my outstanding amount on my netstar account which was In bad debt. Prior to this payment I had consulted with various netstar consultants on their customer services number, to which I had asked if I make payment will my account be reinstated and will I be able to access my tracker to get a location on my vehicle? every consultant I spoke with had assured me that once payment is made and it reflects on their system, that o would be able to gain full access into my account as well a being able to get a location on my vehicle. However after having contacting netstar numerous times after I made the payment I was not informed that this was untrue. It was only this morning that the netstar legal dept Mohamed Razak informed me that I have to pay 11 months upfront after paying the outstanding bad dept to reinstate my account. I think that this is extremely unprofessional and absolutely frustrating to have been given false information by the consultants at customer services when they are supposed to be fully aware of all procedures. I am very upset regarding this matter and I hope to get some response.
Vehicle tracker subscription
Please note that on the 24 august 2020 I requested for a cancellation of the vehicle tracker in my car cas-3895767-s1ks ref number issued by the company, they promised that no monthly premium will be debited since my cancellation is within 30 days and they quoted me a settlement, to my surprise the fee they debited was much higher then what they where suppose to debit. At the time I requested for banking details for settlement they said their system only debits the fees and I cant make the payment myself. Rew32619a r954.06 was my settlement plus my tracker for another vehicle which was suppose to be r134 is suppose to be r1088 however they debited r1359 I called them to query this and couldn't give me any reasonable explanation the department they ref me doesn't even reply to emails. At this point in time my other predicament is my contract has ended on the 26/09/2020 and I have requested for an immediate cancellation and they say there is a possibility for another debit order next month despite the fact that there is nothing legally binding me to them and yet they demand me to give them notice this has never happened if the contract has ended and I request for termination it should be with immediate effect please help to recover the additional money they charged me and ensure that i'm not debited on a cancelled contract?

I would like to report a bad service received from altech and it's collection agency CreditWorx, I was handed over by Altech to Creditworx for having defaulted two months and I have made payments of almost R 900.00 to date and still are owing R452.00 off which I was supposed to have paid Altech R410.00 should my then insurance company have paid Altech their installments I would not have been in this situation. CreditWorx then made me an discount to pay R350.00 but to my surprise the amount has now accumulated to R452.00 in order for them to remove my name from ITC. A lady called Njabulo called claiming that she was with the supervisor who had authorized my final payment but the amount has been changed. I therefore request Altech to refrain from using unprofessional service providers who are scamming people as that will dent their reputation
Poor service and reckless
My name is Caiphus Rapholo ID no [protected]. My insurance company fitted netstar into my car I've lost my Job and canceled my insurance which means they stopped paying Netstar.
Now I'm working and I want to continue using netstar again their call centre take me from Pillar to post, which means my insurance won't cover me without tracker. I am willing to pay missed months when I was not working but still even today I'm waiting for them to call me.

My name is Phillip Rakhuba ID8009015424081 im netstar subscriber my nissan np200 was stolen 14 november 2019 so i called netstar to report my vehicle so they told me i have outstanding amount i have to fill recovery agreement form so i did that and they called me told me they activated my tracker and as soon as they pickup signal thell send the team so heres my problem when i bought my car at oneway auto at Pretoria i signed on my agreement that R2527.70 will go to netstar and i did follow up and i spoke with Louisa Hattingh asking for proof of payment from dealer but no one gave it to me and i even emailed proof of contract i signed at dealer according to my culculation the amount i paid has to cover me for 23months for Nano and ive been paying R199 premium and I should be paying R99 so ive been paying price of early warning and remember tracker unit is installed free and theres no upfront payments so my tracker was diactivated while ive paid R2527.70 upfront plus i paid R199 couple of months and now my car is stolen and tracker was activated after i emailed recovery agreement now why was i paying R199 for? Why did i pay R2527.70? I need proof of payment from dealer to netstar
cancellation process
On 1/10/2019 I was given a cancellation quote of R916 by a gentleman who never made a note on the system apparently and he said that I still have 3 days to accept the quote. After discussing the amount with my husband I phoned back to cancel the service with Netstar on the 4th of October 2019 and was then informed by a lady called Amanda that the cancellation is now more than R1000 because there is cancellation fees which wasn't discussed with myself in the first phone call, I asked her to go back to the recording and give me answers as to ehy the price increased so dramatically and I also requested confirmation that my previous insurance no longer had access to the tracking information as they are fraudulent in their business dealings and to date still haven't had any feedback from Amanda or Netstar for that matter. I phoned again today to cancel my Netstar contract and spoke to a gentleman called Goodwill and after holding on for more than 6 minutes to confirm with the retention department I received a quote of R979 and again I asked why to which he said that he is going to ask Amanda to listen to the recording to get answers for me and he will get back to me. Upon asking Goodwill when more or less I can expect a call from him he said that it will be before 1pm (at the time our phone call ended it was 12h30), I received a sms (not a phone call) at 12h49 stating that my enquiring ref no is CAS-**********-S5Q2. I am fed up with Netstar's empty promises and bad service. Also do not even consider getting a unit from them because their service in that regard is just as terrible, we have a Ctrack unit installed in the same vehicle who's service and communication is excellent and were forced to take the Netstar unit by the insurer at the time and they do not even bother to contact you if they pick up that you battery is disconnected instead they send a sms which in a emergency is not going to work? I have also said on all 3 of these phone calls mentioned this issue with them and again nothing from Netstar's side not even a apology or a empty promise of further investigation

I have a 36 month contract with netstar for car tracker but i have a problem with the package they sold to me which is offers a phone App which locate a car anytime, trip log, impact alert. The phone App does not work if I want to locate my car I must phone netstar and then they'll locate the vehicle and tell me i must check on the app which they located themselves. My car is got a scratch on the back bumper which I dont know when did it happen but if the App was working I should have known where it happened and who did it

I recently bought another car and had to have the Smartbox reinstalled into the new car .
They phoned me and stated that the fee for the removal and reinstallation of the box is R665.79 or what . This abount can be debited from you account once off or payed into their account over 2 months.
I chose the latter .
Since then debit orders from my account has been going off without me having money in the account because nothing is supposed to be going off !
I've now payed more than R400 in bank penalties. I've phoned and emailed and they have stated that the money from the penalties would be reimbursed to my account. That is yet to happen! This has been in August, now in October a new amount of R224.79 has been debited and again bank penalties!
Apparently I should have smelled it in the air that the amount that they would have reimbursed me was since then apparently deducted from the full amount that I owe them and the R224.79 is whats left . WOW! Who knew ?
And the best of all is I'm apparently going to be handed over for not paying them !
Still also waiting on the call or email I was supposed to get from Yugeshin Naidoo in connection with the problem!
They don't communicate even tho the say they will be in contact .
They gave me payment options and did not comply to the one I chose !

I am unfortunately a client of Netstar. On 12 of July 2019 early hours of the morning. I was hijacked and abandoned on the n12 freeway west and since walked back to Johannesburg with a dead phone and when I did try try to get my phone on on the traumatizing journey I called Netstar to report incident. I was then told that I have to settle my outstanding account of R357 and then they would track the vehicle I had no way of paying at the time as I was stranded. This morning I got it paid and called them and they told me I must wait until Monday. This does not make sense as I have provided them with the pop and time is crucial and my vehicle needs to be tracked ASAP I spoke to 5 supervisors and still to no avail they have even went home for the day. please help
Vehicle tracking contract cancellation
Today I spoke with NetStar's financial controller today to inform that I am jobless and cannot afford to pay for the subscription any longer and I wish to cancel my contract. I was told I would have to pay a cancellation fee of over R600.
Currently I pay R167 per month and they tell me my contract expires in May 2020. I was told that I should give 30 days notice in February 2020 if do not want to pay the cancellation fee. mmmmm if one does not have an income how can one pay a cancellation fee OR the monthly fees.
When I asked to speak to 'Kobus' the financial manager I was rudely told that I would need to go through a process of speaking to his PA first and that they would tell me the same as what she has told me.
Their service is pathetic! I also looked at the terms and conditions on their website which states as follows:
4.1 On expiry of the Initial Period, and provided that the Subscriber has not confirmed that the Contract will terminate on the expiration of the Initial Period, the Contract will continue on an indefinite basis, and either Party will have the right to terminate the Contract on 1 (one) calendar months written notice to the other.
I have been with Netstar since 1999, which tells me they automatically renew the contract for the full period i.e. 36 months! and this places them in breach of the contract.
I am trying to get hold of their Ombudsman to resolve the matter.
