NU Car Rentals Charged extra

Rented car in Denver NU. Original charge was $495.

Upon returning my car, I got charged another $294 which is unclear what the amount stands for. This appears excessive for two day rental of a mod size SUV.

NU Car Rentals Refund

Hello. I booked a car from NU through Expedia on February 18, 2020. On February 26th I reached out cancel this reservation directly through NU due to issues related to Covid. Although this is a non-refundable reservation, I was told via email they would process the refund as long as Expedia would approve it. I have been in contact with both NU and Expedia trying to get this resolved for two months.

NU was the one who directly charged my card and I don't understand why they need Expedia's approval for this request. Expedia has not contacted me either about this and I've spoken to their CS at least four times, each time being told it was elevated and I would be contacted. NU does not answer their phones or have long wait times and disconnects you after a while. They are impossible to reach and I've emailed many times to no avail.

I am at a point where I am considering paying a lawyer just out of principle. NU needs to refund me directly, not Expedia, since the charges are from NU, not Expedia. They are a fraudulent and dishonest company.

Yes. They canceled on me due to a "car shortage" and claimed to have refunded the booking. After spending hours on the phone back and forth and through their impersonal Business Manager texting practice, and filing a complaint with the BBB, they send me a copy of the invoice showing a credit done TODAY, but has yet to show up on my Discover app. Seems funny to me they said the refund was processed yesterday and they send me an invoice with today's date at 10:22 this morning of a refund being done. This company is fraudulent, and someone needs to shut them down!

NU Car Rentals Operations

I booked a rental car online through Hotwire and it was the worst mistake I ever made. I ended up with NU car rentals.. I arrived at PHX airport from DFW and took the rental car shuttles to the rental car terminal. I had to stand outside in 100 degree weather ( no shade and no signs telling you where to wait for the shuttle) and wait for a shuttle to pick me up and take me to this rental car place.This is the most BOOTLEG operation I have ever seen...This is literally a bait and switch! They show you rental car rates for around 7 dollars a day... my advice is don't book the real cheap rates because you will get NU Car rental... cheaper isn't always better!

NU Car Rentals car rental

Good afternoon. I have been trying to attempt to resolve my issues with NU since 11 am this morning. I have left 4 messages with the Orlando site. I have called the national number to share my issues, be put on hold so that the woman could talk to the Orlando office to then be disconnected. NO ONE returned my call, emailed me or attempted to resolve my issues. So now I will email. Issues are:

1. Upon leaving the lot and heading onto the highway I noticed the car was not full of gas.. There was 51.1 miles already on the tank on gas and the need was before the F. If I am expected to return on a full tank I am expecting to get a full tank as well.

2. I pre-paid for the vehicle. Upon arriving I gave the card that the purchase was reserved on. This was my husband's card who was unexpectedly unable to join us. He took my license, my credit card and put in my information. He runs my card and charges it $200 and $119 for Sunpass and then he tells me he can not use my card. SO I give him my debit card, which he takes. Then asks me for my husbands license information which he proceeds to enter into the system but does not tell me why.

3. I am scammed into paying for the Sunpass because even though the agent knows I am going to Jacksonville he tells me that most of the tolls do not accept cash. That is a lie. I could have easily paid tolls as I say those toll booths along the way say pay with cash. SO I ask if I can pay for only a few days and he told me no. He tells me unless I am going to drive the back roads then I am going to need it. Your agents should be aware of the Tolls and inform your customers correctly. So I get charged for $119 and only incurred tolls for less than $5 so far on my trip which means $5 back a total of $10. This is certainly not a way to work with customers. More like a way to scam your customers to pay more money. False advertising.

4. I wake up this morning to 2 text messages from my credit card company about fraudulent charges. One last night at 10:30 and then this morning about 9:30. After I used my card at NU giving both my information and mu husbands information to the agent. Once I call my credit card company I find that there are a total of 7 charges made to my credit card. My card has been cancelled. I am now on vacation with no credit card, which was used to pre pay many of the events on this trip. I am appalled. This has caused a great inconvenience to my family. Now I have to wait 3 days to get a replacement card.

I am expecting some sort of resolution to this matter. I believe that this company should refund some of my charges since they have inconvenienced my trip. I have spent most of my first day on vacation trying to get a hold of a company that does not return calls, or hangs up on me and does not even provide me the courtesy of a call back, and trying to figure out how to get a credit card to a location I do not live and leaving me with no card to use during my vacation.

Dear David,

Please find attached the inspection I done with Michael at the time of renting the vehicle on May 19th showing tank is at 3/8 full, it was slightly just over a quarter tank. Michael told me to return same amount of gas, As per the attachment, please see the Costco receipt, showing we filled the tank for $30.

As you know, we booked a full size car. There were full size car in the lots, and you stressed you were unable to rent the full size car. As you recall we waited for over an over one hour for our car at the time of rental.
On May 26, 2019 upon returning the car, you inspected the car, and everything was ok, and you stressed you would provide us a credit for $23 (which is a one day credit, which I did not receive).
I returned the car at approx. 3/4 tank, which was more than 3/8 tank. You inspected the car and everything was in good condition. I have photos of the vehicle at the time of rental, as well as the fuel gauge showing 3/4 tank full. I also stressed to you, I returned the car with more fuel then what we picked up.

Please find below a new charge showing on my American Express for $60 (which I will be disputing - since I do not owe Fast Track $60). Your office agreed to credit me $23 (which I have not received).

I will be filing a formal dispute with Hotwire and NuCar (I have never encountered so much problem in renting a car as I have experienced on this rental).
I expect a credit of $23 applied as soon as possible as agreed.

Look forward to receiving a prompt reply and resolving this issue.

NU Car Rentals car rental las vegas

The staff was rude and nasty from the getgo. We dropped the car back off handed the key to staff behind desk. We then asked for receipt were told will email when ready. My 78 year old mother did not feel comfortable leaving without receipt..staff practically screamed well it will be done when car looked over..done in order reciever. Ok so time estimate please? Well were is key ..i handed to girl at desk well thats not who you hand it to. Ok so how would i know this and why are you being so rude. Because you act like we have never done this before. Well we dont know u and we need receipt saying u are not charging any extra . Well you will jyst have to wait...wow never using this company again and will make sure noone i know does either

NU Car Rentals rental car

I booked a rental car for an intermediate car, when I showed up to pick up the vehicle (after waiting 45 min to catch the van to the location) I was told they did not have my car. They attempted to put me in a smaller car for the same price. I asked for the next size up for the same price, since it was their fault & was told there was nothing they could do. I had to wait for 30 MORE minutes for a supervisor. I called corporate to complain & just cancelled
the reservation. An extremely frustrating experience & nothing was done to satisfy the customer. I will NOT be back & have already started telling family and friends. One family member has already changed reservations from your company to another one.

Piss poor customer service & totally uncalled for after a 6 hour flight & having to wait for over 45 min for a ride to the location, which made me late for picking up the vehicle in the first place.

Piss poor customer service. The blame was put on me for not being there on time. I had to wait over 45 minutes to catch the van to the location of the vehicles.

No attempts were made to help me other that offer me a smaller car for the price I already paid. Unfair & rude customer service.

NU Car Rentals cancun car rentals

I rented a car through NU on Expedia, and when I showed up they said they didn't have a car for me. It completely messed up my vacation plans. The rental agency had my number, but did not call me. By the time they to, d me this, there were no other cars available in Cancun for the same price. This company does not care: they rented my car to so eone else for more profit despite my reservation.

NU Car Rentals car rental in las vegas

My issue is the woman told me when I rented my vehicle that I didn't have to return it until 12:30 on the next day I was forced to upgrade the car just because I showed up an hour early paid more money which was supposed to be $10 for the upgrade at the end my bill was 3 times as much as what it should have been I should have never been charged for two-day rental they should have told me I needed to bring the car back by 10:30 I would have had it there then and avoided charges of $50 extra that's ridiculous and it's very shady I already am giving you a bad review probably never use your company again but I want this taken care of I should be getting a refund back.
