Power Home Remodeling Window defective

In 2013 we replaced all windows for over $20,000. Since then we have had over half of these windows fail. It’s crazy that we have to wait a year and a half to replace these windows. I was told by one of the workers that they are now using a new company that doesn’t have this problem anymore. Why can’t all my windows be replaced with these new windows?

Desired outcome: Replace all windows with updated (new company) product

Power Home Remodeling Replacement of a window

We had Power Home Remodeling do our windows in late 2019, In February 2021our bay window failed; gas leaked out. Call and they sent a person out to see what was going on, he took pictures and sent in the order. Then COVID hit, so we were told it could be a wait, fine I understood that. But during this time there was no update from the company. I am the one who is always calling and e-mailing customer service (which has never e-mailed us back) to find out the status, only to been told it’s not ready yet. We paid over 20k, which may not be a lot to this company, but it is to us. In late May of 2022, they told us that our window will be there July 29, 2022. They made the wrong sized window. How can this happen, this company has my project number and know what size window it should be. Then they told us that the window will be here on October 13, 2022. but the window was warped, so once again I do not get my bay window fixed. Called again and was told that the replacement window would be here on November 2, 2022. I call the company on November 1, 2022, to confirm and was told they would be here around 9 am - 10 am, and after an hour from the confirmed time no one showed up I called and got warrant person (who's phone kept cutting out only to be told it's going to be a few more weeks. I called again and asked for someone higher up and was put on hold for some time only to be told that no supervisors were there and to leave my phone number and the supervisor would call me back, nothing yet. I don’t understand how a big company cannot reply to a customer's issues. Don't ever use the company web to send in your request, you will never get a reply. I have sent many e-mails to anyone I could find at a higher leave like Asher Raphael and Corey Schiller the CEO's but have heard nothing from them.

Desired outcome: Honor your customer Bill of Rights. respond quick. The top people of this company to make it right, I want my window replacement and to know that they will honor their product.

Power Home Remodeling Windows

I got 13 windows + 1 backdoor installed by Power Home Remodeling for $21k. The sell guy did his calculations on a paper $15k for windows and $6k for the door. When I ask him to give me that paper with all numbers on it, he refused, and told me he would give me the formal document after I signed all documents. At the end, I found that the formal document did not have any detail, just a final number that he quoted. When the door was canceled due to delay, they refunded me only $5k. They saif the sell might did some round up, blah blah. It does not make sense but I have no way to fight them. The document that I got only had the final number, not the detail price for each item.

Power Home Remodeling Their lifetime warranty

If you're considering doing any home improvements, I would advise that you stay away from Power Home Remodeling Group.

They tend to focus on obtaining new business while they ignore their commitment to honor their " Lifetime Warranty " on the products they sold to existing customers.

They tend to lie about any commitments they make to address the product failures they state would be addressed.

They make service appointments to address concerns, but they don't show up or call regarding said appointments. When called out on it, they explain that they were sorry and made another appointment. I must add, they didn't call -- I called them.

After a myriad of such activity, I was now informed that they couldn't address my warranty replacements for another year, with no idea of when they would address the reported product issues

I advise to stay away from them. They use high pressure sales tactics and then tend to jerk you around by making excuses and dancing around their Lifetime Warranty commitments.

This activity took place during the months of August - through end of October 2022. Now I have to wait until November of 2023 to address my concerns.

Desired outcome: I want them to address the product failures reported to them more than several times. I want them to stick to the dates they commit to and honor their warranty.

When I called today to inquire as to why the replacement for the windows with failed seals was taking so long, I was told that they have a backlog of 30,000 windows with failed-seal problems.

A problem of that magnitude should be in the newspapers. Has anyone seen any articles?

i'm into my second year waiting for replacements, i still have 9 windows pending replacement. Notice the bottom of the window i submitted. Looks like mildew and discolored between the glass. Gives the appearance of never being cleaned! Been waiting a year for replacement of this and other windows. Took a year to replace glass sliding door and then they had to come 4 times to deliver a replacement that was not flawed. Also, the floor lock on that door does not work right.

Power Home Remodeling New Window Install

My experience having my windows replaced by Power Home Remodeling wasn't a good one. The saleswoman who initially quoted my windows sold me on a window that wasn't something they offered. Once the project manager came to get final measurements, I was informed of this and then given a price increase change order of $283.81 for a window that would work. This may not seem like much, but when you're already spending $14,000+ it's not something you want to hear. On to the install. My initial install date was mid August, but they cut a window with an arch incorrectly, so day one starts with a warranty claim to get the correct window. The second visit to replace the arch window was done in mid-September, but they cut the exact same arch which was incorrect again. Today, October 11th, they showed up to do the final install of the arch and it was surprisingly correct. After getting the final window installed I mentioned to the workers that I was told my windows would be cleaned afterword since they weren't on any of the prior visits. They argued about this, so I called customer service and let them know that I was told the windows would be cleaned and there should be notes on my account regarding this because they specifically mentioned making this note. I was put on hold and when they came back they lied and said this conversation never happened and that I was wrong. You'd think after spending this much money and being inconvenience multiple times to get the correct windows installed, taking an additional 30 minutes to clean them isn't too much to ask for. I will never work with or recommend this company to anyone. Very dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Desired outcome: Very Dissatisfied

Power Home Remodeling Vinyl siding installed in september, 2021

entire home was re-sided in September 2021. The top vinyl panel on the front of the house became "disconnected" from it's upper channel and bulged out during the last week of May, 2022 while we were on vacation. I called Power's warranty line during the first week of June, 2022 and was told this problem would be taken care of in November, 2022. I called again requesting this repair be re-scheduled earlier but was told November, 2022. On October 1, 2022 the winds from tropical storm INA, pulled the vinyl panel out of the channels that was holding it near the house and it is now flappping madly in the wind.

POWER PROJECT: 35-20500

Desired outcome: I would like Power Home Remodeling to get siding technicians to repair the problem as soon as possible rather that have this vinyl panel hanging loose wntim mid-November!

Power Home Remodeling Complaint

We can not get “ Warranty Work” done in a timely manner. The quality of workmanship was poorly installed. When we called to get it repaired they gave us a date that was 3 weeks out, and then they called us back to cancel and reschedule at an even later date. This appointment date was changed due to negligence in their scheduling. For the Premium price we paid for our windows, the quality of materials/installation is not up to standards. This is the 2nd time we have had to call them out to repair the same window. The install manager had no sense of urgency for our problem, nor did it seem like he was trying to resolve the problem.

Desired outcome: That Power Home Remodeling comes out in a timely manner & handles future requests in a more professional manner.

Power Home Remodeling Product is poor, warranty is fake,

Ordered a picture window from PHR for in my 1950 split level home - big but nothing fancy - in Dec 2016. It was installed in Jan 2017 - approx 6 weeks later. In May 2021 I filed a claim as the seal was broken, the window compromised. PHR confirmed in writing it was their issue, they would fix it, covered by the warranty. However I was told due to COVID it would take 6 months - not 6 weeks. Followed up in Dec 2021 and was told the order was definitely in at the factory - had been since May 2021 - but due to ongoing COVID Issues, it would be spring 2022. From there the date was pushed out to summer then late summer 2022 As of Sept 1 2022, per PHR in Edison NJ, the window still has not arrived at the warehouse but someone would call me as soon as it did. The truth is that PHR has no intention of honoring the warranty and never did. This is fraud as not only does the warranty exist but their sales people push it heavily but PHR does not care. No one will do anything, too small to even go to small claims court and PHR knows this, exploits it. The warranty is the only reason I let them do more work on my home - their price wasn't any better than others. This window was the first project they did for me and as this product has failed and PHR has lied about the warranty, I'm just waiting for the rest to fail as well. And FYI - don't believe the high ratings you see on the internet - sales people buy them from the home owner in exchange for a discount.

Desired outcome: Replace window and honor the warranty claims

Power Home Remodeling Window instalation

Power does not commit to their appointed time and day to come and install my window. 5 times they no showed without calling me. I've wasted days of my summer at home expecting their crew to come to my house, and I've had to call in everytime for a new excuse why they didn't come. Project managers never know where crews are and never call back within an hour of my initial call to update me if a crew is still coming or not. I have to continuously call back in time and time again to figure out what's happening.

Get your act together. Just bring me my window and I will have a competent installer put your faulty windows in. Still waiting for repairs on my other brand new windows to be done. Frames that are loose in shashes when locked, screens that don't lock in place and expose weeping holes for bugs to come in, loose locks, overfilled adhesive between frame and glass that leaves gaps, filthy windows after install, and debrie left all over my yard and back patio.

Do yourself a favor and look at a hood local company. Power is too big of a company with too many people to be able to handle your project personally, especially when something goes wrong.

Even after speaking to the director of instalation, promises are broken and problems are ignored.

Desired outcome: Communicate with your customers. Answer detail questions through email to have a paper trail instead of lying on the phone to cover yourselves when you say you don't know why a different representative gave different answers before.

Power Home Remodeling Windows and doors

Did they provide a good value for their service? NO. They do provide a good product as far as I know. BUT service... this depends. Their installation team was effective and fast. I cannot really complain about that. The problem is that once they ruin something in your house, good luck trying to get them.

Did they respond quickly? Only when you are paying for something. When they have to pay for damages, you will never, NEVER, find them.

So, let me tell you my story.

First, let's start with the salesman. Once they start their script they will not stop. I had to put my baby to bed, and he did not care. He came at 6 pm and at 10 pm he was still talking. I didn't need the salesman because I already wanted to get their product. I just needed him to start the contract, which should take 5 minutes but he decided to start talking for hours.

Then, the installation. The guys were super nice... but they ruined my blinds in the process. They put on a sliding door and did not remove my blinds, a 900 USD blinds ruined. They tried cleaning it but the cleaning product they used discolored the actual blinds. The blinds were new; they only had 4 months. Brand NEW beautiful 900-dollar blinds now discolored with white patches.

Then the customer service. So, since I paid their service in full... let me repeat, I PAID IN FULL THE DAY OF INSTALLATION. This is important because it will come back. So, I paid in full and I thought that I could call customer service and ask them to fix my blinds or paid for them, anything really to solve the problem. They pass you around from one person to another on the phone and keep you waiting. Allow me to illustrate the situation. "Hi, Power, what is your name, address where the job was done, the date of the job, what is the reference/job number and how can I help you?" After you answer all this, and you explain that they ruined your blinds... "Oh, let me transfer you to the right department." 15 minutes later... "Hi, power, what is your name, address where the job was done, the date of the job, what is the reference/job number and how can I help you?" So you answer all their questions again, and explain the situation. "Oh, let me transfer you to the right department" and an endless cycle continues.

I contacted them about my blinds one month ago, never heard from them. I send them an email with pictures of the blinds, never got a response from them. THE WORST THING is that the only reason I decided to get their product was because they promise life-time warranty on their windows. And the house I have, has their windows already.

One day, a salesman knocks at the door and starts telling me that they can change one of my windows because it was old, and they can do it for free because of the life-time warranty. So I said, "Sure." And then he asked if I needed a new window or door and I thought if it has life-time warranty then yes. He said, "Yes." He put me on the phone with someone at their offices to get the "old" window replaced for free. He said someone was going to come for a free quote. I said, "I don't have time for unnecessary steps. I want the sliding door, and I will pay right now. Just show up and do the job." He said, "no, we will send somebody to do the measurements." The day of the appointment, who do you think shows up? A salesman. After talking for 4 to 5 hours, he makes an appointment with the guy who is actually going to take the measurements. By the way... that old window, IT WAS NEVER REPLACED.

5 or 6 Months later, they started to call me asking me to pay... you read this correctly... they want me to PAY AGAIN. I already paid in full the day of installation. Remember? They are claiming I didn't pay. I have copies of the receipts, which I sent to them just like I did with the blinds. but they don't give a caca about anything. Worst company ever. I told them over the phone that not only they damaged the blinds, now they want more money for no reason... I am not going to pay. Guess what happened...

4 days later I discovered a charge that I did not authorize in my credit card to power home remodeling.

As I finish this review, I am calling the bank and now I have to deal with them. This is a nightmare.

Desired outcome: I just want them out of my life!

Power Home Remodeling Doors and windows

I purchased windows and doors through your company June of 2021 I have had defective windows and a door since purchased products. I started having issues in September of 2021.

I was told the parts for my windows will take six months to come in. I have been waiting for them to repair the door and windows repair since last September and they keep giving me dates.

They never show up and the last time they came and did one service not all the services as promise. Every time you call them than you have to wait two months for some one to come. They had me sitting here in June and July of 2022 never showed up. They had somebody come out in August of 2022 they didn’t do the whole job told me I was gonna have somebody come back and finish they did not and I just a call from them yesterday and told me they can come on November 1 that is totally unacceptable.

I have paid more than $30,000 with this company and I am being miss treated. A purchase expensive door with them after all the repairs over four repairs cause some many scratches and promise to bring me some touch of paint never did. It does not make sense did I have to sit here and wait till November 1 for them to come back out here for a job that we started in June 2021.

Also I allow them to put windows in my rental properties given the additional business and I’m being treated like this and do not make any sense to me.

I asked her for the CEO email address it won’t provide to me they’ll keep giving me the local office and the local office is not doing anything but keep appointments for me and they do nothing. I told them that I need to purchase one more window because of thought I was gonna additional to my home but I decided not to and they told me they can’t replace one window from them unless I spend $4500 with them that’s the new policy. It doesn’t make sense. I was wanting to get some more doors from them but the way I’ll be in treat never. I just want my windows fix my door scratches repaired or some money back inconvenient.

Desired outcome: I want my windows fixed and I want all the scratches repaired on my door. I want some money back for the inconvenience and I want it done now

Power Home Remodeling French doors

Power Home Remodeling completed a huge job for me in 2020, including all new windows, siding and a French Door amounting to over $35,000. The windows and siding look beautiful; however I have had major issues with the French Doors since the install 18 months ago. Power Home Remodeling has been out to look at the French Doors 7 times since then, they have been completely replaced once already and I am still having issues.

Most recently, I had Power Home Remodeling come out to the property on July 18th to fix issues with my French Doors. Again, I am left with sunlight streaming through a crack in the door. Antonio, the contractor who arrived to fix it said he would put us in touch with the VP because this job has not

been done correctly from the beginning. Antonio said he would be ordering us a new trim board to be installed correctly where the old one left about an inch gap between the kitchen floor and the trim. He also showed us how the door is bowing inward and was not correctly installed from the start. Because of this bowing, we have a crack in the door that is allowing air into and out of the home, therefore losing it's energy efficiency. He also looked at the doorplate and mentioned the incorrect install and how the sill plate should extend to the end of the concreate step to prevent the tripping hazard (again Colorado Code) that currently exists. At this point so many mistakes have been made, and we have had so many contractors out here, I do not know who to contact.

I am including pictures of the inch gap between the trim and the floor. The sill plate should go out to the end of the cement step; however it has just been patched with clear caulk which looks completely unprofessional and disgusting. If anyone is wondering, check out the pictures... this is what a $7,000+ door looks like if installed by Power Home Remodeling. Their company name is completely misleading, they do not know how to remodel, or the door would not continue to look like this after 18 months. Additionally, there are three different heights of the stair since install because it is not flush with the floor, as it should be. I have included pictures of the three heigh tipping hazard stair that has currently not been addressed after a BBB complaint has been filed.

I am currently looking into small claims to have the door completely ripped out and replaced with another, more reliable company. This company thrives on its door to door advertising, where salespeople sell a product without thoroughly understanding the home. The home was built in the 1970s and the company did not account for the threshold of an older home. When they did the pre-install inspection, the person doing that inspection did not account for the cement step outside and the company continues to try to patch an old job that they should have never accepted in the first place because it cannot be done in this old home. At this point, it has been over 18 and I still have sunlight streaming through my door.

Desired outcome: Door to be installed properly and flush with the ground. Refund for my 18 months of lost heat and AC due to constant cracks in the door that allow air from outside in and vice-versa.

I purchased windows in 2020. One broke during snow storm in Feb 2021. It has yet to be replaced after multiple scheduled appointments. Last person to come to fix it put red tape all over it and left. That was 3 months ago. They do not have the product to replace it and have no idea when they will. I've called so many times. I can't speak to a manager or supervisor. I keep getting empty promises and I'm so frustrated. This has been going on now for 20 months and yet they keep coming to my house to try to sell me more...they schedule appointments to replace it and yet no product! WHAT?

Power Home Remodeling Window installation

I ordered my 10 windows replaced Dec 2021. The install happened in March 2022. One window was missing and one window was broken. The installer told me I had to sign off so that the “fix” could be handled in a few weeks. The missing window was installed in April. The broken window was scheduled to be fixed in May. When the date came, the window was not available. Funds were collected for the unfinished project. A complaint was put in with the Better Business Bureau. Power responded that a window would be installed in June. That was scheduled and the wrong window was brought. On July 6th, a new installation was scheduled and the same wrong window was brought. Power refuses to let me speak to finance, to a manager or to provide a refund for time lose, waiting for the correct window.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of funds for broken window

Power Home Remodeling windows

I contracted with Power Home Remodeling on 01/16/2018 for a large picture window and a matching architectural half-moon window.

My installation date was approximately March 2018. The installation was at best average even after “quality controll” inspected it. A few weeks later I needed the windows to be caulked and insulated again as sunlight and air were coming through the perimeters of both windows.

On December 15, 2020, I lodged a warranty problem for the large picture window as the gas seal failed a month earlier, the whole reason the window was replaced in the first place. I was told then it would be a while because of the so-called vinyl and glass shortage. I was told different excuses for many months then someone finally admitted there was a design problem with the window. That was when I was told multiple times the window was in production. Finally in 2022 was told window was in warehouse but would require 2 people and they only slated one person so had to wait again if even true, well when a window is 6 feet wide and over 4 feet tall even a novice knows you need two people. Finally got an install date of 06/20/2022 so I have now waited patiently for a year and a half. Got a voicemail on 06/17/2022 telling me the office is closed on my installation date and new date is approximately 11/20/202 almost 2 years later. What is going on there

Not sure who runs a business this way, I feel lied to deceived and taken advantage of, once Power had my money. I would not recommend them to anyone and have seen many complaints like this on the web.

Desired outcome: replacement window

We had all our windows replaced by this company in 2014 and have had to replace nearly all the windows for broken seal. Initially, requests for replacements were responded to within a few months which was reasonable, however starting two years ago, they have NOT replaced any of the now ten or 12 windows (some for the 2nd a few for the third time). We have waited patiently for request for two years... these windows look terrible and I have to confirm but I think our sliding glass door is beginning to fail. These issues are QUALITY related - the windows are defective and I've been told that they will continue to replace with defective windows even though the quality issue has been resolved by using a new manufacturer. I paid a LOT of money for these windows and IF they decide to replace the dozen or so that we currently have (I think they are going to continue to defer), WHY WHY WHY should I have to have the same defective windows installed. This is a SCAM and I plan to pursue legally and report to Consumer Affairs at Phila.'s Attorney General's office. I will likely have to have another window company replace the glass. Very dis-satisfied... very disappointed...

Power Home Remodeling Windows

This company barely honored anything appointment times they set up with me, added my partner to my loan against my wishes (I never agreed to add her to my contract) and showed up unannounced and sent a 3rd party instead of the massive quick crew which was promised, these windows are low quality. They did some damage which their contract protects them from. I was not expecting a 3rd party to come and damage my property, however. and when I asked for more time before starting the project because I lost my job they forced me to take on the installation or would charge me for the windows regardless of the timing, it was ultimately a poor experience and not what their salesman originally discussed with me

Desired outcome: Join a class action, a price reduction due to property damage, and 3rd party contractor who arrived in an unmarked vehicle around 6 am.

Power Home Remodeling Roof

I’ve been remodeling my home room by room and I knew I had roof problems and I had been putting it off for as long as I could.

Needless to say I had been getting estimates and then one of there young salesman , super nice guy knocks on my door and just so happens to catch me in a good mood. He goes into his huge elaborate spiel. I’m a contractor my self i knew there number was inflated but the thing that sold me was the financing and the zero money down.

Needless to say everything to eye promised they did not deliver on. I wanted a quality roof free of leaks . Well 4 days after installing of new roof my dormers are leaking. Leaked into the brand new room I had just finished. Now I’m playing phone tag with their managers to get them to pay for the damages . Keep in mind my roof had not been leaking until they touched it .

Desired outcome: Do I have recourse to take legal action against them?

Power Home Remodeling Measured for 5 windows only put 4 on the order.

Salesman Tyler measured for 5 windows (my son was with him) only put four on the order, so only the four were installed. Would NOT have paid that much money for just four windows. Tyler lied, scammed and never came back to check the windows out because he knows he screwed up and he should be man enough to admit his errors. Called the company to rectify the problem and never got a call back from Tyler or anyone else. I will be calling HQ and our local news to report them. Our first salesman, Bob was great along with all of the installers. I gave POWER'S name to friends because the first windows installed went perfectly, but after the screw up, I told them toss the number. Tyler screwed it up for the company.

Desired outcome: I want my 5th window at the price that was agreed on and Tyler should have eat the price of the 5th window.

Power Home Remodeling Roofing

**Homeowners Please read** Let me start off by saying I am not a person that normally writes these kinds of reviews but the level of shady business practices, inconsistent information, and Poor installation practices has led me to warn other potential homeowners to steer clear of this business. I repeat You DO NOT want these people anywhere near your house. The presentation was very nice, however the level of lies and deception this company will go to to take your hard earned money is deep and wide. They promised with a seal of approval that they do not outsource their work, which was a gray area of a lie, come to find out later. But let me start at the beginning. They got me me also with the buy now price, however at a second opinion my roof was checked out fine, First lie, Then i tried to cancel after the three days and they told me that they could not cancel because they had already ordered my supplies. When I asked about switching colors I was told no I would have to pay half price just to cancel because the parts are sitting at the dock and already ordered and shipped. Then the "Project Manager" comes a few days later and says no that's not true we can get you any color you want we have these stocked in a warehouse just let me know the color and we will do it. Needless to say the company will lie out of their teeth to get you to do the work. That's not even the worst part. Then they tell me that My roofing boards are in such bad shape that they will all need to be removed and replaced. The work is done and I look in my attic and all they did was lay the boards over the old ones. It gets better. I look around my roof and the rain drip gaurd doesn't even cover the edge of my roof now, And in one spot by the chimney the installer left a random board sticking out of my roof and layed the roof over top of it leaving a huge very noticeable hole in my roof with a board sticking out. there is humps all over the roof so who knows there is probably boards all under the whole roof. They assured me that there would be a chimney cricket to divert water. Nope no chimney cricket, and the chimney flashing is all jacked up using about a whole tube of caulk to glue it together and looks horrendous. For some reason they removed my gutter and put it back on sloping in the wrong direction and the chimney flashing doesn't divert water to the gutter just down the chimney to my house foundation! These are "professional" installers here. So I was told. They assure me that the "project manager" would never let this happen. I can assure you that there was no project manager on site, and if there was and they signed off on this it just shows you the level of incompetence this company has. So when I called to let them know about this issue, I send them numerous pics and explanations and The person on the line said they would get back to me. Nope, So I called back a few days later and they said oh yes let me set something up right now. So why didn't they do that the first time? because they didn't want to do the repairs and install my roof correctly I guess. So a few days later the roofer shows up to do the "repairs". He says he will see what he can do and be back out in 2 days. 5 days later I call the company and they are in shock and awe that no one showed up. Forget the fact that they are the ones that are supposed to make sure this work is being completed. Silly me to think that! So then they ask me to send pics again and I mention that the salesperson said it needed a re-decking and the installer said that the reason the gaps are present because the new boards so that is just how it is? oh boy, A professional roofer telling me that gaps between my new roof and my old one are normal? bwahahaha! can you see the level of incompetence I am dealing with. Luckily he did say that boards sticking out of my roof aren't a normal process of roofing a home or else I might have lost it completely. So about 4 weeks after my install and numerous people at my house I told the last guy I don't want to hear from you just send the manager or Vice president or whoever to come look at this and tell me that it is a quality job. After this heated conversation they started calling me back and sent someone back to my house, no not the project manager and not the VP. fat chance on that happening. But bottom line is they were hoping this would go away and didn't want to come out and do things the right way. But I have repeatedly told them I want to cancel all other projects because their company is incompetent and they will not get me to the right person to cancel all other shady, lazy, and incomplete work they want to try and do at my house.

Desired outcome: Cancel my other projects and let other homeowners know to not use their services in the future.

High Pressure Sales with lots of broken promises. This is a nightmare and we have to pay for it. Our roof is in the process of being replaced. I was told it would take several days and the crew would clean up everyday. They did pick up most of the roof trash, but left their lunch and snack trash everywhere. There is cups, plasticware, bottles, coke can...
