At shoprite eskhawin, controller Winnie Nsele has a bad attitude towards cashiers and till packers, she is harsh to then, she shouts the cashiers Infront of the customers...workers are complaining about long hours they are working after the schedule time but they are not getting paid for overtime...Managers are also shouting at Workers when asking for a void, they release the workers according to who bought them lunch or their friends.
Desired outcome: The controller must be suspended

I have been shoping at this shoprite for a year now and every month I experience more expensive products packed under a product that on special and at the till point you pay more then eat was advertised...specially chicken and frozen vegetables. Stickers are put up that state if you swipe you chopper card you get discount but it's not so when you get to the till. Staff members keep conversations while customers are waiting to be served
Desired outcome: To be fair and honest and transparent with transactions and better customer service.
Milk spoiled Checkers Brand
We purchased checkers brand milk from checkers columbine, 5 boxes (6 pack)
2 boxes were swollen and had spoilt milk messed all over, we toke it back to the store for a refund so we can purchase another brand as all the boxes that were opened were swollen, they insisted no refund and we had to take the same milk for exchange, I dont trust the checkers brand for consumption as even on the shelf all the bottles were swollen but store manager said we must try it and if theres a problem they will exchange again, im not happy with this service, I dont want to use that milk I want my more back so I can purchase another brand of milk, I have kids that use this milk everyday

I went to zola shoprite liquor today. Got all I needed and paid. Than when I was on my way out of the store, the Security guard closed the door way. He I asked what are you doing and he demanded a slip and I asked why would ask for a slip in that manner. Then that's when he said I not leave the store. I than said its best you get the manger if you feel than you. He than stated to assault me.
Bad management at shoprite/checkers meadowdale
I went and bought my groceries at your meadowdale branch on sunday. Now normally i will stand in the queues unless it is very long as i am special needs. This sunday the queue was almost by the entrance and i was feeling dizzy, i spoke to a staff member who told me to go to customer care and they could help me there. I went there and asked to speak to the manager who eventually came, well i tell you i have never been so put down in my life. I explained to her that i shop there every month and the previous manager told me if im not well i.must go to customer care and they will ring up my stuff. This new manager due to her not knowing my history i told her i have arthritis in my joints and i have had a knee replacement and could not stand in long queues. She looked at me asked me how much i had which was a full trolley, her attitude was we only do baskets here. So i said ok well direct me to a till and they can do it there she says no thanks she doesnt want any other customer shouting at her for pushing me in. I asked her then why are you a manager if you cannot help me. Her reply was nothing. She made me feel like i was to blame for my illness and that i had no place even been in your shop let alone trying my best to live a normal life. One of the other staff helped me at the customer care counter. Your manager just walked away as if she had no business been around me. She actually made me feel like a leper in the branch. I have never felt so out of place in my life. I spent alot of money monthly at that branch...
Desired outcome: I want an apology from the branch manager and internally for her to be dealt with.
Arrogant branch manager
I was at Kanyamazane Shoprite today around 11 today when I requested a lady short and chubby for some assistance regarding a certain product, the response I got from her she said she's the branch manager not a shelf packer so she won't help me. I should look out for shelf packers not her she's too busy. My shopping experience was not good I quickly went out of the store.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if you'd talk to her and remind her that we're customers, we are the backbone of the business without us there's no business

On 9th July 2023 l went to Shoprite money market Botshabelo mall, to purchase a flash voucher and an Intercape bus ticket for 12 July 2023 and of a return too. My ticket is for Botshabelo to Pretoria, on the ticket l realized that it's stated Bloemfontein instead of Botshabelo, the lady who assisted me, by that time she was busy on a call with her personal cellphone call, while help me. I was assisted by Portia Lethoko.
My complaint is her not giving me full attention on listening to what l was requesting, and therefore entered wrong place of departure.
The following the 10 July 2023 l went back to her, to asked for the rectifying the mistake made on my bus ticket, she was unable to assist me, and lastly told me to go to Bloemfontein to catch the later lntercape bus from there,
I stay in Botshabelo and cannot go to Bloemfontein to catch the bus l booked for.
As she checked on the system, she said the the Botshabelo ticket option was not available that's why she booked Bloemfontein, but today tells me the the Botshabelo option is now reflecting surprisingly, yet she blames me for the ticket she booked.
The issue to fix the ticket told me that it showed the cancelation fees, the tickets costed R750, that l have paid, by she showed me the refund process will give out R289, and that l should keep the tickets and make plan to get to Bloemfontein I order not to loss the money l paid in for the tickets.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology
Chinese Food at Middletown Shoprite
My family bought General Chicken and Broccoli Chicken. Everyone gets diarrhea. We are get better the next day. I wish owner should pay more attention with products. The chicken products might be exposed outside too long and we saw chef also not hygiene. When back yesterday and try to talk to the chef but no one can speak English. A bit disappointed.

The Admin Manager Shoprite Vryheid
I'm hereby complaining about the Admin Manager Mr. Ndlovu, Mr. Sangweni at Vryheid Shoprite. I have sent couple of emails, but nothing has been done, Mr. Ndlovu is treating the Front Staff like he is in his he don't know how to speaks to the Staff.
Shoprite Vryheid have lost many Staff Members because of him, that means he was brought to this Branch to dismiss people. Is this because he don't have mistakes. People are working without given their 1hour lunch because of shortage and the shortage of Staff caused by him. All these people that have been dismissed are breadwinners they have families to take care of. I'm appealing to the Shoprite Executive to take a look at Vryheid Shoprite. Controllers need to undergo Customer Care and Supervisory Training because some of them they treat Cashiers the way they like.
Product (Cake ASSRT R79.99)
I purchased a Cake ASSRT at Shoprite at the Burgersfort mall today the 18th June 2023, Tax Invoice Vat NO. [protected]. The cake was build up of large layers of cream and extremely small slice of the cake.
The cream in a cake is only serving a purpose of a sweetener, a large layer of cream is not beneficial to me as a buyer and for that reason I allege that Shoprite is violating some of my rights as a consumer and has not met my expectations satisfactory as a consumer. I would like the shop management to assess the cream used in my cake whether it meets the required standard for consumable goods(in the category of cakes), according to the republic's sugar level regulations. Provided the content of cream supplied was for waist only.
Desired outcome: I am asking for management to determine if the cake was designed according to the starndard, by looking at the pictures I will attach. If not, I am asking for another cake of the best quality.
Payment not received
On the 26.05.23 I deposited the money through Money MARKET at 13:41 for my sister when she go and collect the money the money was already received at shoprite Bethal mall at 14:30 the same day I deposited the money and it doesn't make sense compare the time of depositing and receiving the money it's about 40minutes how did that person got my M number and the pin because I was the only customer at money market and I didn't know that when you sent money you have to swipe Xtra saving the cashier didn't ask me but when I look at my slip they swipe for me with the card I don't know when I got to the store I found admin mananger I ask for help wether to check for what happened after I deposited the she told me that she won't do that she gave me a bad attitude while am seeking for help she refused everything I was asking as if she's hiding something then I decided to go to the police station to open a case they give me a form to give the manager to fill in and sign that they will come and investigate she also refused to fill in the form. Am still stuck here I didn't find any help am requesting my money and full investigation in money market cashiers.

I went to buy a grocery at 16h00 at Letlhabile mall, when I was about to pay they told me I cannot pay with card as they are off line, then I have to go out to find an ATM of which there is no standard bank ATM, I had to use FNB ATM of which I also have to pay extra charges. why is Shoprite Letlhabile not having speed point t when they are off line.

As a customer I went to ShopRite to collect money that was send to my phone unfortunately I couldn't get the 10 out from 210 I had to go via ShopRite every time we want to draw money from ShopRite thy have a problem with us the banks say they have to help us if ATMs can't now every time customers ask to withdraw from ShopRite thy refused to give us I want to know how is it possible than no till has a 210 for me to draw is there a problem the supervisers didn't even help me to resolve the problem just ask another cashier to give me money n she also had a attitude towards me thank u urgently

I decided to go to the checkers at east gate mall as I was in that area and I took stork magarine
I got to the till and the cashier said its six per customer and I asked for tge manager to explain
Vincent the branch manager came ansd he was very rude and was not willing to listen (please check viseo footage on the 10th of May 2023 between 12:30 and 12:40
I showed him the checkers business card and told him we are not buying on a personal capacity and he told me he is not going to allow me to buy the magarine
I usually shop at checkers at waterfall corner and Mall of Africa and they are always willing to listen to understand and assist me; this was not the case with Vincent, a lot of rudeness and the only person he listens to is himself
Please do advice him that in future he has to listen to the customer and understand why they are buying amd if he is not sure he should ask head office because this is a totally different scenario, what is the point of me having a checkers business card if I cant use it, this is such a huge inconvinience caused by an ignorant manager

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the way you shoprite taking us for granted in your stores especially in the locations and no hiring enough staff especially during month ends .We go to there after work we cannot stand for more than an hour before we can be served even your cashiers at that time are few and very exhausted with load of work at paying points. This its not because of the schedule they are short staffed at olievenhoutbosch store. I go there every time as I'm a baker and after work and I see and its same staff all month. I need to go RAMA I had to live them yesterday because of queues.

On 30/4/23 had a cashier by name nontsikelelo. Been very rude to me when I wanted to pay. Of which I was already been in line. Just that I had to go to the isles. Because of their wrong merchandising. When I asked her can I ring my maize meal. She just stared at me... I asked why you just staring at me... She then said i'm closed... Proceeded to laugh. I felt like such fool. So disrespectd. Cashiers at shoprite don't have manners. They behave like we in a clinic. Or public hospital or something... Like they doing us a favour..

On the 8th of April at about 9am, I went to shoprite to buy food containers that were reduced and placed on the reduced items shelf. I was with a friend whom we both wanted the same items but the other set of containers did not have the red sticker but was placed in the priced to go shelf, so when we went to pay Betty Moahlodi came to authorise. By then we didn't know she's the manager. So she said she wasn't going to authorise the set I was holding because there was no red sticker then I said I found it on the priced to go shelf and her responding with an attitude saying and I quote " I said I won't authorise " then she left us standing there as if we are crazy. I then asked the cashier if Betty was fetching the manager and the cashier responded by saying, the woman who left is the manager. I walked up to her to ask again if she was going to do what's right because as a customer it's within my right to get the product with the reduced price as it was on the priced to go shelf and again being arrogant, rude and disrespectful she continued to give me an attitude telling me she said she won't do it and there's no one who's gonna make her do it and I told her that I was going to report her, to my surprise her response was she doesn't care. What drove me to the edge was her saying to her colleagues and I quote " she's even wearing a church uniform " which means I was not supposed to ask her to do her job simply because I was wearing my church uniform. My friend and I decided to leave because things were getting ugly. Had I not left it would've ended up with us being physical as I had also lost control of my temper due to the level of disrespect I got from someone who's a manager, who should know what customer care is.
Desired outcome: I would like for her to be demoted, as she doesn't know what customer care is, she's not the right person to deal with customers. Yes I would like for to apologise because she had absolutely no right to treat m in that manner.
