I have been a Shoprite customer for a very long time. I have been doing my grocery, paying my bills etc. I was very disapointed by one of the cashier by the name of Caroline Mashalane at Phumulani mall Shoprite. everytime I come in the store to withdraw the money, she keeps on throwing some funny remarks and she will make it a point that I must feel that she is in the store on that particular day and she always refuse to assist me. the last time I went to the store on the 21 july 2024 to withdraw the money. she told me that she did not have money at her till and all the shoprite cashiers at phumulani mall doesn't have money and even the shoprite office (controllers) are not going to help me anyhow. I could not understand if this is how she treat other shoprite customers or this kind of treatment is only happening to me. she is so arrogant towards me. the other cashier overhead our conversation and she decided to come and assist.

You deserve respect and proper service, especially as a long-time customer. It's good that another cashier stepped in to help, but Caroline’s behavior needs to be addressed. Shoprite should be ashamed to have someone like her representing their store.
Take your experience to social media. Share what happened and tag Shoprite Checkers. Let everyone know about this unacceptable treatment. Demand an apology and ensure that they take action against such unprofessional behavior. Stay strong and make sure your voice is heard. You deserve much better than this.
