Singles50, unauthorised credit card billing
My name is E.G. Askes, my username - Bert, password - Gerard61, email - [protected]@xsinet.co.za - I was not informed that I would be charged R995.00 (South African Rand) by 'Singles50' for "Free Registration" on Dec 22nd 2019 which I did not authorise, I want to cancel/delete/destroy any connection to this con scheme. I would like my credit card refunded with the R995.00.

Misleading subscription fee
Dear Singles50 Management team,
This is to notify you that on February 14th I´ve subscribed for a 24 weeks signature on Singles50, but the amount billed to my credit card was not the one I agreed with.
I agreed to be charged on AUD9.99 as an introductory offer for 24 weeks (not AUD 9.99 per week or months).
Instead my credit card was deducted for AUD 239.79.I would have never agreed with that fee.
I request cancellation of the this subscription and refund of remaining balance for 21weeks (one week that I was member and 14 days notice) .
Looking forward for a fast resolution.

$240 was taken out of my bank account. I was not offered the 3 monthly membership. It said $19 a month and I thought I would be paying monthly until I decided to end my membership. I see now that you only offer 3, 6 & 12 monthly membership l. I didn't get a choice. I wasn't expecting this amount of money to come out of my account and it has now left me short to do my basic shopping. I would like a refund of 9 months

Deceiving premium plan price
First I downloaded the app for 40 Love this then changed to Singles50 when I logged in. I purchased what appeared to be 4 weeks for $19.99. I was then charged $79.96. I have emailed the site and they have stated a refund is not possible and to send a cancellation letter which I will do. I cannot locate an online cancellation form stated so I have sent a letter with the details required. We will see if this is the end of it or if they will charge again like they have with some of the other people complaining.

I have emailed them all and continually get it sent back saying "address not found"

Access my settings to cancel the subscription it does not allow access. It also does not allow me to delete my profile. This is against data protection rules.
Have tried to make contact with Singles50 numerous times. Offer I signed up for did NOT give an option of 3, 6, 12 months - it was clearly a 1 month trial if NOT cancelled.
They are now trying to say I owe then money.
I emailed the customer services to cancel.
They are now threatening legal action.
It is impossible to contact them, their site is not what it claims to be.

I have written a letter and tried the fax number.
Having read SO many complaints I now realise the website is a scam, which I should have realised as many if the photos were not real.
The website breaks many rules.
It is impossible to deactivate or delete the account, never mind cancel the subscription. I only signed up for a 1 month trail - a special offer, which said I could cancel after 1 month...I thought I had but am now receiving emails looking for payment! It's a joke.

Membership
I took out a membership for a month which was R 49, however they debited my card with R 49.00 per week = R 196.00. This is completely unacceptable.
I would never have taken out a membership if that was the price. I have since asked them to cancel my membership. They have cancelled it but it will only come into affect from March-20.
They then say that the profile can not be deleted.
I will never go onto a date site again after my bad experience.

The company has now debited my account for an automatic renewal.
There is no options on the website or app for easy cancellation.
This is not acceptable. Upon reading other complaints and comments there does not seem to be a fix.
Seems like this company is only out to obtain your card details in order to activate automatic payment collections.

I have to complain regarding fraud subscription from my account

I have checked that someone has misused my account and did the subscription on singles 50 site.
I was not aware that the amount of 239.46$ has been deducted from my account because of this. Please note that I have not done any subscription to below site . Someone hacked my account and bank details .I have sent multiple mails to singles 50 customer service to urgently cancel my subscription and provide me th refund but it's been 3 days and no one from their team has responded. This is getting highly frustrating now. Please cancel the membership ASAP and provide me the refund back.

Unauthorized renewal
In November 2019 I've paid €20 for a month ONLY subscription on Singles50 website and in December €49.99 were deducted out of my bank account without my authorization or request for another month renewal. This is illegal! I'm trying to cancel my Singles50 account too and it is not working either. I want a refund for €49.99 and to have my account deleted. This is a scam!

Joining without knowledge
Today I notice a payment of £131.70 taken from my bank account on the 22nd November just gone. Can you please tell me what this relates to as to the best of my knowledge I HAVE NOT submitted a profile for membership to Singles50. Fraudulent charge of additional 6 months membershipd fees despite giving ample notice time via email as advised by sings50 customer service
I had subscribed to the Singles50 and commenced on 1/5/19 for 6 months and end on 30/9/19. I have written to the customer service 2 Sep 19 (as advised by the company that i can send email as 1 of the 3 methods) to terminate my membership with immediate effect from 2 sep. And I had paid the first 6 months membership.

From then on, I had written several times to the customer service and received a standard reply which did not reply to my clarifications on why the company insisted to charge me a further 6 months membership fees, but repeatedly insisted that i pay !
Also recently I received a notice from their debt collector to pay my "overdue account " for a total of €288.06 including debt collectors charges etc!
Is this a scam to extort money?

Misleading premium subscription $9.99 per week to $239 single payment
DONT subscribe. It's a NIGHTMARE!
Initially the website looks $9.99 for the whole 6 months. When you come to pay, it will show $9.99 per week or a single payment of $239.76
I still paid thinking to try a week of 9.99 subscription but when I check my bank statement it was deducted by $239.76
Complete scam! Emailed their customer service but no response at all.

Signing up - not clear what paying for
I signed up for what I thought was a 6 mth membership - paying monthly and the WHOLE 6 month payment was taken from my visa card. Not clear at all what you are doing when you sign up. And no contact details available so it's hard to make a complaint. Not at all happy with the company. Would like to see them removed so that others don't have the same issue.

Scam artists
I have a had TWO supposedly legitimate Singles50 members get in contact with me that are using scamming techniques. Their technique is similar. They claim to be a local in South Africa but suddenly their cell numbers change to an 044 number (Europe). They create the illusion of interest, even getting supposed family members to write to telling how I have made meaning to their father's life.
The scam artists/grifters pepper their conversations with endearments and loving interactions. Within a week they have asked for banking details claiming they need to export tax money out of a country as they are setting up business here in SA, or they have just reeived a large cash sum from a business they recently sold and require legitimate bank accounts.
I have written to Singles 50 cutomer service regarding this matter. They have remained silent.
I would suggest this site as untrustworthy and not to waste your time or money on it

I subscribed to this website on the 10th of October 2019, only took a one month subscription as I needed to see if it is a good site or not. This was an amount for just over R200, 00When I tried to click on the cancel subscription button which is provided on my profile, it did not work. on Wednesday 13 November the company deducted R995, 00 out of my credit card account without my permission. Now they reply to my complaints by saying I had to post or email them a written cancellation. I want to know how they get permission to deduct a four month subscription amount when I initially only signed up for one month? please do something about these scammers, they are scamming many innocent people. Another reputable site I was on before this, cancelled my subscription when I clicked on the site- I would like a refund to the amount of R995, 00

Cancellation of subscription
I have sent Via Fax (Who uses Fax anymore !). Went to the Post Office to Fax off Cancellation. Nothing happened I have been charged again AUD$300 plus over seas transaction charge. I have tried numerous avenues to contact this company without any success. I have now gone to my Credit Card provider to report Fraudulent Transaction. Hoping this will put a stop to it all. Very Bad Company and Product.
