Sky Sports commentary

At any fotball match with Liverpool playing why, oh why do neutral viewers have to endure such a biased commentary (term used very loosely) by somone who would easily qualify as the head of the Liverpool FC Appreciation Society. I find his unending criticism of match officials, managers and players by somebody who was nothing more than a priveldged player of the game is totally unacceptable. Bring back unbiased commentary by experienced commentators please.

Sky Sports football commentary

Looking forward to the new season but STILL have to listen to the commentators prattling on about things not relevant to what is on the pitch. Tyler and Carragher. Ended up with the mute button on for much of the game!
Why can't the pontificating be stopped and concentrate on action on the pitch. Examples, discussing how pre season training was conducted over 10 years ago, and what they did in the off season - how is that relevant to the first match of the new Premiership season ?
Annoying considering the amount this service costs, enough to consider cancelling the sports contract!

Why do Sky Sports take no notice of its customers? I see i'm not the only one who is driven crackers by Martin Tyler & his endless drivel. He babbles on about anything apart from the match & when he is put with Carragher it is awful. Why can't you in this day & age have a choice of commentators, then perhaps you could employ someone in the David Coleman mould who just concentrates on the match in a succinct yet dramatic fashion! Tyler has to be the worst football commentator ever yet you employ him year after year, why?

Sky Sports complaint about sky sports f1 commentator nico rosberg

Nicole Rosberg is continuing his tirade of abuse and hatred towards F1 5 times world champion Lewis Hamilton, is this really allowed? I know presenter commentators are allowed to give an opinion on a drivers ability but it's happening off the show to such an extent it borders on hatred, he states things like Lewis's illness was not due to flu but the lewis Hamilton show, and that he is not as good as max Vestappen, and anyone could beat Lewis in a Mercedes, if you would like to read some of this awful rubbish you will find them on the Lewis and Valtteri Mercedes website Lewis Hamilton 44 site, formula 1 fans, formula 1 fans forever, the daily mail sports pages and more! Just because we have to pay to view sky sports f1 does not mean we expect to hear hatred towards Lewis Hamilton! Especially from rosberg, all this shows is intense jealousy, not a little rivalry or bias towards another driver, it is abuse, hatred and bullying!

Name addresses and phone numbers should not be necessary the complaint is sincere but the information should be between the complaint writer and the company because this leaves people open to more abuse and bullying

Sky Sports comment or on rugby league!

On the 9.8.19 Leeds versus Catalan as the young girl "Amy "walked the match ball out he commented Amy who suffers with Down syndrome.. how rude ! Yes she may have downs but that young girl was definitely not suffering and he shouldn't imply with downs you suffer ... very disappointed you sound very uneducated in what levels of Down's syndrome there is

Sky Sports sky cricket commentary

‘Who is that terrible woman?' asked my wife during the very first day of the mens ashes coverage on sky cricket. She was actually referring to the highly irritating witter of Isha Guha, a new addition to sky's commentary team, who unfortunately employs a kind of forced monotone delivery that borders on a shout. I have to report that since then it's a rush to mute the sound whenever that particular lady comes on to do her commentary stint. True, the lady is knowledgeable (having played the game at the highest level herself) and she appears to be an awfully nice person, but alas, her commentary simply comes across as someone trying extremely hard to be a commentator yet without the depth and creativity needed to pull it off and make it in the least bit interesting. In what appears to be an attempt to impress she talks far too much and more often than not simply ends up stating the obvious. All in all it seems that her appointment owns a great deal to political correctness rather than to any kind of aptitude.

Sky Sports ashes commentary

Why do you have Shane warren commentating he is so biased. Even if England play a good shot he talks about the Aussie bowler... where as the English commentary is very fair to the point some time harder on England. Get rid of the winging Aussie have some proper unbiased commentary..you don't get the same when England are playing in Australia.. they are brutal.

Sky Sports sky sports cricket - ashes commentary

The Sky Ashes cricket commentary is so biased towards Australia it's made me feel sick to my stomach. There is no equal balance. No support or praise for England when we need it most. They were all disgraceful but the female commentator (and I'm a soft feminist, but strong businesswoman) was the worst. She sounded gleeful at every Australian success but was dismissive of, or didn't even mention, our English ones. I've been a Sky Sports subscriber for years but this is making me question if I want to subscribe again. Disgraceful.

Sky Sports ashes first test commentary

I am trying to watch the first ashes test and the woman commentator seems to think she has to talk all of the time stating the obvious and giving us irrelevant information. I'm also sorry to say I find the tone of her voice extremely irritating. When I am watching the broadcast it is not necessary to have the commentators talking incessantly. Ian Botham is a good example of how to commentate correctly.

Sky Sports sky f1 commentators

Sky F1 has lost its edge, why the hell has Ted Kravitz been pushed aside for that Karun Chandock? That guy talks the talk but was useless as a driver and I would rather listen to Ted than him. If Ted isn't back full time next season I'm not watching Sky F1 anymore and will cancel all sky sports. Bad idea sky having the rights to F1, another Bernie greed deal gone wrong.

Sky Sports sky sports news transfer show at 7pm

I tuned in to watch the show especially to see the details of the most expensive in the Summer Transfer window by Arsenal however the team decided to focus on Tottenham perhaps bidding for a Portuguese player and prattled on for 7 minutes. I found this very disrespectful and very obvious bias. Arsenal are hammered for not spending money by UK media and when they do it is not afforded the pomp usually reserved for Man utd, City etc. Please address this, as very dissatisfied in this so called journalism.

Sky Sports cricket reporting

There are 2 women commentators on the cricket - one shouts most of the time and seldom gives her male commentator a gap to join in, the other lady keeps making an unpleasant slurping noise just before she speaks. If there is anything you could do to put this right I would not have to watch the games with the sound off.
I appreciate that you feel obliged to have these women, but can you not confine them to women's cricket, with the men just doing their own

Regards

Carol

Sky Sports ashes coverage - casual sexism from shane warne

In conversation with his commentator for the Ashes coverage just now, Shane Warne just remarked to his female colleague - "Never argue with a woman." This is the kind of casual sexism that goes by without address and is, as a result, proliferated. Both my children - young boys - were watching when he said it. If they were to imitate this to a woman, and use it to a woman in the way Warne just did, I would be horrified and embarrassed. If you can't trust commentators to behave appropriately, don't give them air time.

Sky Sports us golfing commentators on sky sports

I am getting pretty fed up with Mark Rowe and his English co-commentator, Nick Docherty, with the partizanship of their coverage at the St. jude World championship event. Why do they continually call McIlroy just by his first name Rory whereas everyone else (apart from Bubba and Tommy (Fleetwood) get called by Christian and surname or just surname, as they indeed should be. It may not be intentional but it suggests bias on the part of the commentators. There is more to golf than Rory, Rory, Rory. He is not everyone's favourite and we don't all want him to win or feel the golfing world revolves around him. Okay, he wears his heart on his sleeve, but I am looking for objective commenting in my golf viewing.
Rich Beem and the Wayne Riley are superb but I think you could do a lot better than Rowe. He talks far too much, has a voice that tries to enthuse but overdoes this and gives little insight into the players.
Kind Regards,

Stuart McGillivray

Sky Sports commentary on sky sports golf

Paul McGinley's commentary on the golf is terrible. His comments on shots of what players should do are wrong and that shows when the players do the complete opposite of what he has said. He is very rarely correct with the comments he makes about shots the players are about to play or should play. The commentary from the rest of the team is second to none, but when Paul joins the team I just want to swith off. As a massive golf fan and a very good player off very low single figures myself I believe I know what I'm talking about with golf. Yes as a player Paul was amazing and Ryder Cup Captain but that doesn't make him a good commentator. I just want to switch off wits his comments of what's going on. I would be grateful for a response on this matter.
Many thanks

Sky Sports the open golf coverage

Have watched the start of the third day all I have heard are views of pundits I want to watch the golf being played not so termed experts. The golf was being played so why does Sky pay all these extra people for uninteresting views on how the game should be played, the best lessons are learnt by watching examples currently being displayed. Come on Sky show the live sport and dich the comments and virtual players.

Surely there are more interesting commentators for the Womens British open to listen to than the current ones. Such boring voices especially the women. No atmosphere created at all with their monotonous tones. Where’s Beamer and Radar!

My father - who has watched golf for years has just said that Sky's coverage of this golf competition is a 'joke' and that the BBC knocked them into a cocked hat when they were televising the Golf previously. It's true that Sky's coverage is basically advertisements and opinions spoilt by a bit of actual golf. It is ridiculous ! What is the point of showing golf on the tv when you don't actually show the people paying - what a waste of time!

Sky Sports fish-o-mania coverage

Watched the final but coverage poor this year. No coverage of the junior competition and almost non of the ladies competition. The commentary was somewhat disjointed and not up to your previous high standards - disappointing to say the least. With minimal fishing competitions covered and waiting a year for this, this was especially a let down .Can we have a return to the previous format please.

Sky Sports commentary on the cricket

Hi
I'm a 64 year old woman that first watched cricket in 1998. I'd always thought ‘boring game' but watched a particular match that was exciting and I was hooked. Since, as a Sky subscriber and Sports payer specifically for the cricket, I never miss an England match.
Never having played the game I love to listen to the commentary and especially the Charles Coalville after match ‘chew' and feel my knowledge is now quite vast. I particularly like the Sky commentators Nasser, Bumble, David Gower, Michael Holding, Michael Atherton and especially Ian Botham. Imagine my disappointment at hearing that the ‘oldies' will no longer figure after the Ashes. But they are Sky cricket. This to my mind is a big mistake. It isn't all about youth. We don't need these high pitched excitable commentators that are so annoying. You can commentate without getting carried away.
I've watched each match of the World Cup but haven't really enjoyed the commentary. Too many Aussies for my liking and biased commentary whereas our guys are particularly unbiased which I feel is important.
Todays match has been sublime but for a while we lowered the volume of the commentary as it was so annoying. I quite like the Sri Lankan Sangakara and the Indian Gangoolie as they are calm and speak well. They are interesting to listen to.
Please reconsider. Bumble is a laugh and Ian so knowledgeable. David Gower cheeky and charming.
You've altered Charles's program over time and not for the better I feel but I suppose you have to move with the times.
When I listen in the winter to any Australian commentary I do have the volume lowered and they are predominantly Aussies so why when matches are played in this country do we have so many commentators in particular Aussie commentators. Warner is the best so I don't mind him but the other no. Sorry to be frank but hope you appreciate feedback.
Loved the chat after the match today. Listening to Strauss, Nasser, McCullum and Warne chew the cud. It was excellent so thanks for that. And a short word from Ian was a plus. I'd wondered why he'd not figured in the tournament and googled to read his future demise with Sky broadcasting. Please reconsider.
Thanks
Josie Marsters

Sky Sports commentary on cricket world cup final

Why was the commentary during the cricket world cup final dominated by a New Zealanders, Ian Smith? He was so partisan towards his own countrymen and there was no one being positive about England's performance. Even Michael Atherton was lukewarm about England. I missed David Lloyd and David Gower and think you have made a big mistake in changing your commentators. I was considering subscribing to Sky sports for the Ashes as I watched the final on Sky 1 but I prefer the commentators on TMS, especially Phil Tuffnall and Alistair Cook. You need a commentary team that people want to listem to. I know several other people who also had to turn their sound down as the commentary was so poor.
Kind regards,
Christine Kavanagh
