I have paid for an order on 29/11 on 07/12 I was notified by Takealot that my order is cancelled due to no stock. Pathetic as I now have you pay a much higher price and pray for availability of the item elsewhere. To top thay thet wanted to credit my Takealot account how am I suppose to buy if thet areout of stock. I then asked to be refunded but have to wait 5-7 working days. This is pathetic yet shocking service to say the least. The call centre staff is amazing in NOT keeping promises Olwethu said he will make a plan and get back to me on Friday yet no answer. I expect interest on my payment for the datse thet had it as well as the difference in payment I have to cough up due to the poor service and stock availability.

On the 1 December I ordered and paided for my goods (6084577)excepting my goods to be delivered to me on the 6th December. On the 6th of December, I find out that my goods have been delivered to an unknown persons and this was done without any communication to me from the delivery company. When I had contacted Takealot only to be told my good will be delivered back to me the next day, which was a lie. Now I have paid for goods which I do not have and will only receive my money back WHEN and IF the 3rd party company finds the parcel. Very Disappointing loyal customer.

The TakeALot Delivery team called at 10am saying the driver was outside with my package When I went outside there was no vehicle present. They called again 10 minutes later to confirm my address, still stating that their vehicle was outside. So I went to check and again there was nothing. They stopped communicating with me abruptly after that.
I called them back asking where my package is and they said the driver will try to come again. My frustration is that the driver didn't come AT ALL. This is not the first time I've had Takealot deliver to this address but it is the first time that I've been met with such incompetence. Where is my parcel? And simply sending an SMS at the end of the day claiming that my parcel could not be delivered is not good enough. I operate on a schedule too, and today I wasted an entire day just so I could be present for delivery. This is unacceptable.

My Package was to arrive 28/11 before 17:00
The Courier cam 17:06 and our offices was already closed. I called Takealot the next day advised that the courier should come before 16:30. I spoke to Rhianna who adivsed she will make a note to the courier company.
I received an sms to reschedule delivery on 5/12 @ 15:00 but nothing was delivered.
I phoned takealot again and was adivsed that it seems that the Courier company are sending the package back. I was of the opinion that it cannot happen I need the package before I go on leave. Yesterday 6/12 I phoned takealot again and spoke to Nomaphini who advised she can only send the Courier company an email, which she said she did whilst talking to met on the phone. Today is 7 December I have 2 working days left at work and I have had no satisfactory service.
One of the items if for Christmas for my daughter and as we are going on holiday it might not reach me in time
I am really very dissapointed and do not feel the need to contact takealot again about this as nothing gets done

I have received a call the FNB delivery team but I missed their call, so they sent an sms and gave me a number to call them. I have been trying to call them since yesterday morning 2018/12/05 and there has not been any form of picking up since. I do not know what to do from here if they aren't picking up. This is very frustrating because I need this card.

I received a sms on monday, the 3 rd of december telling me that my parcel is on its way and I will receive it before 5 pm that day - nothing
When I logged into my account the next day - I see the status is delivered and signed for! I did not sign for it neither received it!
Now they keep on telling me it was delivered at 41 emerald street - my address is 46 fosfaat street!
And that the delivery people will pick it up and bring to me!
Three days now - still nothing!
poor service delivery
I placed an order with Take-a-lot and was advised that my parcel was out for delivery that morning.
I then receive a text message advising me that my parcel could not be delivered with no explanation.
I then logon to track my parcel and find no communication advising me or a concern or a delay.
I then had to call the call centre to speak to a not so happy call centre agent who was not eager to help.
I was advised that due to no drivers being available that my parcel would no longer be delivered today.
No other specifics were given, no call from Take-a-lot was received saying we are sorry.
I just think its shocking that a customer needs to follow up on an order and that Take-a-lot doesn't care to apologise or even inform the customer that the error is on their part.

I ordered a Garmin fenix 5s rose gold on the 26th November, delivery took place on the 30th November just to have found that its not the watch I ordered.
After I have requested a return and said I want my watch I ordered as there was stock, I still het an email to say there isnt stock of the watch.
Its unacceptable because its not my fault the warehouse packed wrong, feel that my watch must be sent to me takealot muat make a plan to get a watch like I ordered.

Bought a Cellphone from Takealot in August 2018 (Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra). The phone starting having problems in October 2018 i.e Freezing, speaker issues, whenever you on apps it would kick you out. Thus decided to return the order on the 30 October 2018. However on collection of the item i had not included the charger adapter in the collection bag. I asked to individual collecting the goods if this would not create an issue in evaluating the item and she said no it wouldn't. The following week i was informed the were missing accessories with the item i.e. the charger adapter and they would not evaluate the item unless all the items were received. The adapter was then collected on the 09.November 2018. However my item has still not been evaluated and you can imagine how stressful being without your phone must be as it close to a month now when the item was initially collected. I am not sure whether its a case of not wanted to refund me or just simply being ignorant. It is very disappointing and frustrating as you can imagine. And when ever i call the customer service I am told the matter is being looked at.

My order was in stock when I purchased and paid for it. The delivery status date updated today and stated it will be delivered on the 6th December. Only to see my order was suddenly cancelled and A gift voucher credited to my profile, no communication from takealot as to why it's cancelled or to even say it was cancelled I was only aware because I logged on to the site. THANKS TO TAKEALOT I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET THE GIFT I PURCHASED TO THE PERSON ON TIME.
Takealot a Bad Bad Bad company to deal with. They load their prices from their suppliers because unfortunately for them they state on their products "suppled by". I recently purchased a portable solar panel from them only to find out that their supplier sells it for R1000 cheaper and then Takealot has the audacity to say 30% off marked price. But marked price is R1000 more than supplier. Second issue I have is that they cancel the order on or just before delivery with no explanation or an option of a refund, credit or replacement. You are then forced to buy more items in order to use your "credit". Is this not against the consumer protection act where you as the customer have 3 choices. Seems Takealot is flaunting the law to their benefit. Thirdly, as a first time return an item customer, I followed their process on returns ... logged the order item and then waited for collection. It was collected by their courier company Mr Delivery and the person who collected it did not give me a receipt (which I was not aware they were supposed to as a first time customer). However, because it was not logged on the system as returned or received from Takealot, I kept getting sms's saying item will be uplifted and a scheduled tim and date was on the sms. So when the courier arrived I told them that the item had already been uplifted and he went off and logged on the system "client not available - reschudule". That the sent the ball rolling again and again and again. I tried to get hold of Takealot to explain and they said "I must supply a receipt". When I told them the courier company did not supply a receipt and that I had tried to phone Mr D on numerous occassions (calls alone are more than the item was worth), and that their policy on returns is not clear, they basically almost fobbed me off. I have 4 witnesses who saw the courier company uplift the item. Now my question to TAKEALOT is this, how come your give out my information to dodgy courier companies because this really seems suspicious.

I was supposed to receive my order today but I didnt. When I tracked my order online it showed that they came and I wasvnot around. While I have been waiting whole day. Nobody called to say they were outside.
Secondly I called them and a consultant dropped a call on me while I was trying to explain that I will not be home at 2pm on Monday as he said he scheduled for Monday.
Its my first time ordering from takealot and already im frustrated and dont think I will order from them again.

After numerous mistakes I still haven't received a order I paid for almost a month ago. First the wrong item was delivered which was okay I can understand one mix up. Then when they eventually came to pick up the wrong item I was informed that I would only be getting one item out of the 4 I paid for (when am i getting the other 3? Nothing has been said about that). They missed that delivery date as well because that one item was sent to the wrong dispatch or something - AGAIN. Eventually I received it, still waiting for my other 3 items, ITS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH since I paid. Really?

Hi, I did an order and then received an email that one of the books were cancelled as it was out of stock ([protected]). I was informed that my account will now have a credit. I replied that I don't want a credit. Please credit my credit card with the amount. I send this email on 14 November. To date I have not received your response. Over the past weekend I searched online for the book that you cancelled to try and order it elsewhere. Then to my surprise you had the book. I have also placed another order ([protected]) in the meantime with you and I then saw this has not as yet been shipped.
So, should I not have been asked if you can wait for the book that was out of stock and then send it all together with my other order, or send it with my second order? ([protected]). I have just checked and it has not been shipped. Point is now I was charged extra delivery costs and this could have been avoided. You cancelled that book and not me. Now a couple of days later the book is available.
This does not make any sense to me. I see this as poor management of orders which cost me unnecessary money

refund policy when coupon has been used
We won't shop at Takealot again! Ridiculous policy when you use a coupon (R150 off R350) and need to be refunded. We ordered goods for just over R1000 and when it came to delivery (which is slow I must add!) one of our items (a fan) was missing. After numerous calls they finally let us know that the fan was out of stock and we would be refunded. The amount refunded is less the full R150 even though our order (minus the fan) was far above the qualifying R350. It was not even our fault! Inflexible management - stay well away and rather stick with brick and mortar stores!
refunding a voucher
I had a voucher which I used to place an order, I never followed through with the order so it was cancelled. When I tried to use my voucher again it said that it had already been used. For 4 days Bandlakazi Mbolambi messed me around via email telling me over and over that my voucher was already used, even once telling me to call FNB to sort it out!?
She is clueless and unwilling to help. It is sad that such a great company has such terrible representatives "helping" customers.
I called Takealot today and in less than 20 minutes Mandisa sorted it out for me by just taking a little time to look into the matter properly.

There was a driver who came to make a delivery he blocked the way when a gate is opened he just sat in a car and opened a door, I opened the gate 3 times. Return of product
This is the worst company for trying to return a product.
No straightforward process. Will not refund card only account... Not sure that is even legal?
Email a complaint on their website and receive and email back saying they no longer reply to customer emails. Spent 2 hours on the phone just to return a wireless mouse.
All good when things go ok but like pulling teeth when a customer had a query.

I've been keeping a close eye on some of the ‘specials' that takealot punts and noticed that while the percentage discount changes, but it barely impacts the base price of the product.
Over the last year for instance, the Taurus Hexa Striker automatic vacuum cleaner has been on sale for R999.00 (even when there is no discount) - I know this because I was interested in purchasing one.
Magically, today it was declared on the daily deals as being 50% off and has dropped to R849.00 with the ‘normal price' being R1699.00. Either someone is not mathematically inclined or they're taking clients for idiots by inflating the ‘normal cost' to accommodate the supposed discount.
Is it normal for Takealot to over exaggerate their deals to attract unsuspecting customers?

I am very disappointed in takealot. I ordered a lenovo laptop charger of R246 plus R60 delivery which is R306.
Firstly they packed the wrong product and had to cancel my order (Order nr #[protected]) and refund me. My refund took about 7 workdays and they only refunded me R246 and not the delivery. They told me that they charge for delivery when the delivery person were at my home.
Nobody called or contacted me not even buzz my door bell. They sent me a message saying that they will deliver it on a Monday again because they couldn't get a hold of me. (I was at my home the whole day) Money came and I heard nothing from them.
Eventually i got my refund of only R246 and not the delivery of R60.
I believe this is a fault from Takealot and not mine. This is unprofessional taking money for themself after they made a mistake of not delivering the correct item and not even contacting me when there "was" someone at my door. Very very very disappointed in Takealot.

Ordered a PS4 game which has a release date of 26 October 2018 (Order No: [protected]). Order was placed on the 23rd.
Shipping to JHB Warehouse happened on 25th of October, but delivery will only happen on the 29th of October.
The whole point of ordering from Takealot is so delivery can happen on the release date, not 3 days later.
When contacting Takealot, I get told that delivery doesn't happen on Weekends, but today, the 26th, the day of release is a Friday and not a weekend.
Then I get informed that the shipping only happened on the 25th, which still doesn't explain why delivery didn't happen today.
After all this explanation I am still not told why it wasn't delivered today.
When I ask if I can have the order cancelled, this will also only be able to be done on Monday.
So, not only do I not have the product I paid for, the same product I could have walked into multiple other shops and bought on the 26th or the weekend, but I am also being held ransom with the money I paid for it.
Previously, Takealot was a helpful site with delivery of newly released games being done on the release date, but since this is not the case, i don't see the point of using this site beyond the completion of this order.
