I was a prior walgreens employee
I'm not sure where to begin and if anyone will read this.
I recently worked for Walgreens for 14 months and was terminated the end of January. I have been apart of a special program that put people with disabilities to work. I worked nights, weekends and every holiday. A few months back a shift lead named Ashley Meeks came to me and told me how to fill out our evaluations. That we must fill in the low numbers that we would never be given over a 2. Which I listened and complied. Which of course made my review low and an assistant store manager did my view that hadn't even worked with me 2 months. How did he know my history?
After that I continued to work my hardest. He told me I did my best as beauty and that my numbers were always high in the pulse meetings but when he left we stopped having Pulse meetings that I was so excited about.

I was never warned or had anyone come to me and tell me they were considered about me. My last day at the store I wasn't allowed a break and my family was there waiting for me. The store manager and her friend which was a store manager from another store told me to come into her office. She stated they were so concerned about me and someone was on the way to test me for alcohol and drugs I was very surprised and upset and kept asking if I could smoke which was denied. I told them over and over it had really upset me and I just needed to smoke and I was in no way refusing the test.
Recently I had had my Suboxone changed to our pharmacy and it then came to light I was a recovering addict. I told no one this but now all of a sudden you want to test me for alcohol and drugs. After being placed on suspension I offered to our district manager as well as employee relations a copy of how many times I am randomly tested for alcohol and drugs.
After waiting a couple of hours with no break I said I was going to smoke and I asked the store manager to go with me which she refused. I was the most upset that you are supposed to care about me and never a warning just this in the end.I did leave that evening and I thought better of it the next morning but she got what she wanted. A young girl to take my place and the other store manager that was there Mom got a bunch of my hours that helped her get her new home in Belhaven. Check for yourself.
I have waited to say anything. Not only did the shift lead that told me to score myself 2, I had been to the store manager and I told her I knew for a fact she brought her son's urine in on our drug test. She told me herself she was dirty and she had her boyfriend bring in her son's urine and she magically passed. She told me when she suspended me that they looked into. No way, everyone knew and to make matters worse she promoted her to assistant store manager in training.
I did nothing wrong when I worked there, I have to years worth of drug and alcohol test that would prove that.
I knew that about her and then a young girl was there to replace me and they wouldn't give me another chance after talking to the district manager and employee relations

Just want to share, I've used Walgreen for photo printing for yrs and twice now and with 2 different employees I've experienced poor rude customer service. I've worked retail many yrs and unless its changed I was taught to be pleasant even as hard as it is at times. These circumstances didn't require rudeness it's like they're taught that. I will never go back there.
cashier mistreat customer
Bad experience at the Wallgreens, the one at calhoun ruby isle area, 2205 N Calhoun rd WI 53005.
It happened on wednesday 13th, 2019.
The guy who was the cashier at that time around 3 pm said that I couldn't take a small cart, the one with the wheel and I haven't even shop yet and when I asked why he said "because I don't like it". He said this with a loud voice in front of a lot of customers. Was he trying to be funny..? I didn't think it was funny at all. 😡
That's not the way he should treat a customer just because I'm asian.
I'm not going to go to that store anymore... I'd rather go to another store, one who knows how to treat their customers with respect.
mail order prescription medications
Absolutely the worst company regarding mail order prescription medications I have had the mis-fortune of having to do business with. Walgreen Mail-order pharmacy using the dba as Alliance RX which is the Medicare Mail order service for some Medicare advantage programs fulfilled by Walgreen On-line pharmacy. They absolutely have mJor problems filling existing prescriptions they have on file. This brainless [censored]s can't ever get anorder right, and they take forever process anything right. You have to track your order day-by-day. It takes at least

I have used walgreens for years now, unfortunately what used to be a problem every now and then, is now issues every single time we get medications filled. I have 2 children who take a lot of medication. Each time the pharmacy staff blames the text system, the online system, the insurance (even when it isn't the insurance - its actually the tech or pharmacist who doesn't know what they are doing). As a former certified pharmacy technician, who worked in the field for over 10 years, when I get some stupid answer from the pharmacist or the tech, I know it isn't correct and call them on it. Several times recently, I have been told the insurance doesn't cover that medication, when I know they do. So I have to get on hold with the pharmacy, and explain to the pharmacist how to do her job, and every time it comes back that oh yes, that fixed it, and its always their error. They do not provide patient care, they provide a fast food service, and honestly the worst fast food service is better than their best patient care. Its sad, because they create the problems by not being proactive in doing their jobs, not fixing issues when they become issues. The drive thru is ridiculous, when they tell you something will be ready in an hour and you sit in line for 45 min (so now they have had an hour and 45 min) and then you get to the window and they tell you yet again that its not ready... And to circle around, which leaves you sitting and waiting yet another 45min+ for a prescription that was supposed to already be ready.
Their customer service is horrible. The pharmacy manager doesn't care and will quickly tell you that if you complain to corporate against her, it doesn't matter because the complaint comes right back to her to handle.
I will be taking our thousands of dollars in prescriptions every month somewhere else, because it has become a crying shame! This company shouldn't be handling peoples medications, they could barely handle a lemonade stand!

Terrible customer service by one of counter staff. While sarah was politely trying to help solve a problem with new medicare part d problem another counter worker walks past and tells her that walgreens doesn't have a contract with anthem blue cross ppo and I should go to safeway pharmacy. I know this to be false and she also ignores him and the problem is solved after calls to anthem.
Today I call to verify that meds delayed under a workers comp claim have come in. Same guy answers and tells me it's not covered and I have to use part d with big co-pay. I point out to him that I have been getting same meds for 3 years every 30 days under this workers comp claim. He denies it and says there is no claim. After discussion he changes story to I have to get w/c approval each time. Not true for last 3 years. If it goes beyond pulling a bag out of a box this guy is lost yet he is a long term staffer.

January 09/2019: While purchasing a bottle of Robitussin Honey Cough + Congestion DM at store #03498. I was asked by cashier # [protected] to present my ID card. I showed her my federal law enforcement ID. She said no I need to see your drivers license. I said why do I need to show my ID anyway ? She stated that is the protocol when you are purchasing this item. I complied presenting my drivers license. I then called and spoke to the person on duty in the pharmacy and told what had happen. She said yes the protocol is to ask for ID when purchasing this item to make sure the person buying this item is 18 years of age. I said to her I am 82 years young with a head of gray hair and beard couldn't the cashier see that ? The OIC said you have to show your ID. I disagree. I'm 60 years old and have stopped shopping at my local Walgreens. I do not look like I'm 17 trying to sneak a pack or smokes, nor do I look 30, there is no way I can be confused for a under-aged person trying to buy smokes. I will show my License, even though the clerks could be my grandchildren, but I will not pull it out of my wallet, have it scanned and be treated rudely if I don't want to comply.
This new policy has lost you this customer, I'm sure you will lose more as time goes by. It's a ridiculous policy that needs to be changed immediately.

I had my account double charged. One through my debt card and my credit card. The date of the transaction was 12/30/18 in Photo department my debt declined so I used my credit card. Going over bank statements it said that both transactions of $25.98 came out of checking and savings. I went to store #30 in East Moline, IL to figure out what was going on...

I live in Bamberg SC and we used to have a Rite Aid. The Pharmacy was very people friendly and always very helpful. We have just recently had Walgreens buy out the Rite Aid store. Can never reach anyone on the pharmacy on the phone, get put on hold for over an hour many times and no one ever picks up (ever)! You need to drug test your employees. 4 1/2 hours or being asked to come back the next day, is unacceptable! your rewards card
I used to spend a lot money at Walgreen. I even lost reward money I The past.
I recently returned back to Walgreens and noticed that everytime I use my card it says I have a $1.00. Like today I spent $69.00 and have $1.00 reward. Last week bought some goodies again $1.00 reward. I understand that everything isn't eligible for rewards, but come on. So I decide to use my $1.00 reward today to see if it happens again. Again $1.00 reward from so much money I spend. I used to have $10... $20... and never used it because I was working towards $50... but I can't get past $1.00 now. I looked forward to my rewards but I'm ready to go to CVS again you get a lot of rewards, get $10-$20 dollars coupons in mail. Get weekly $2.00 etc on my card through their emails. Everytime I shop there I save a lot. What's going on with Walgreens? I'm disappointed.
flu shot administered
I took my daughter today for a flu shot at the Walgreens pharmacy on Central Ave in jersey city. It was around 3pm today January 5th 2019 and the pharmacist administer the flu shot like my daughter was not human. The pharmacist drove the needle way into her muscle, I have never seen anyone done this before more than three quarters of the needle was driven into my daughters arm. It was painful and it is still painful to her after many hours. This pharmacist is a beast and he should not be taking care of humans. Please address this issue as this is cruelty. I really enjoy going to your store to get medications that I really need and to be told for one reason or the other that they are not ready, we dont have them in stock or we do have them and after waiting for over a hour in line that i can come back tomorrow to pick them up. Walgreens as a whole has to be one of the worst run corporations in this country...

This pharmacy has to be the worst in the nation. They put you on hold for an hour, or they just hang up. Today I called six times, and gave up. When I went to this store. They had an attitude, and were rude. Alot of frustrated customers waiting in line. All the reviews on line were terrible, not one good review. Something must be done. You need to replace the whole staff. Your reputation is only going to get worse.

Been a customer for app 20 years. Ever since Rite Aide closed (across the street) the Pharmacy service has been awful! My Dr. changed my Libre freestyle to the 14 day version. A month later, when I went to pick it up, they substituted the 10 day sensor without telling me. They are not compatible. I called when i got home and said they would switch them. 48 hours later, i went to the store to switch the product and the pharmacist told me that the new script was only good for 1 time so they filled the prescription from the old script. And they would not give me my money back because there was an old prescription on file that they could bill it against. I asked if I could buy the old reader but it was not in stock.
So now I have no way to monitor my sugars likely until January 2 when my Dr office opens. I have an ongoing issue with hypoglycemia so this is a problem. In my opinion, Walgreens arbitrarily made a treatment decision that has jeopardized my health.
