I hired a handyman to do some work on my home. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said Angi will take it out of your credit card. I said that I didn't want them to and that I would rather pay him. He said let me see if they take it out and I will come back for the check if they don't pay me. He came back and I paid him. Yesterday, my brother was going through his credit card statement and he noticed a charge on his bill. He asked me what it was and I didn't know. We called Chase Bank to let them know. I asked the agent if there was anything he could tell us about the vendor. He said it said "ANG SEP9". I realized that was from the handyman I hired. I want to know how Angi's list got a hold of my brother's credit card number when my name is not on it. I also want to know why I wasn't called if this handyman was trying to get paid twice. It has caused problems between my brother and me because he said he shouldn't have paid for this charge. I agree. This is fraud that Angi's list committed.
