company came right out when our boiler/hot water broke. Said it would be $3500 to repair or $18,000 for a new boiler (that's right - $18,000!). We opted for the $3500. They offered us a financing company and we did the financing. The heat/hot water broke within three days. They came back and now say that it needs a brain - another $1500 or so! As we already invested the $3500, we asked them to do a 2nd loan so we could afford the payments. To date, they have their $3500, they have never come back to the house, and there is still no hot water or heater. When I called today, the manager hung up on me and blamed it on my husband because of the second loan. We spoke to the finance company. They said they had no request for any second loan and that they would approve that. So now what? This company did nothing more than replace parts to see if it worked. Their estimate was wrong - their diagnosis was wrong. Who pays $3500 to repair a boiler/hot water heater and a month later still has no hot water or heat? In the middle of winter - with a 70 yr old+ tenant living there - really nice, right?
Claimed loss: $3500
Desired outcome: Refund/Boiler repair that we paid for.
